Belladonna

Location: Serval Industries - The Jet
Skills: N/A

She had to admit she was a bit peeved that no one seemed to be taking the initiative until Evelyn spoke up. Having Watts scout ahead made sense. He was quicker and could get in and out easily. Once she was satisfied her meditation did its job, she stood up. "Splitting up is a smart move. I suggest we go into two groups. Me, Evelyn, and Watts in one, Sapphire, Bobbi, and Wesley in the other. Our skills easily mesh and we would hit them from both inside and out."

"But that is my suggestion. Do with it what you will."
She had her own plans should things go south, as she expected them to do given what had happened previously to get them in this situation. She could easily work alone and get the job done, but she also knew that they needed to get this done together. Watts especially, but everyone else needed to be included in the rescue mission, especially if Gardner is behind it.

They were, more or less, their own team now. They needed to act as such if they had any hope of succeeding.

Outside of the Building
Watts would be racing around, not seeing anything that could really get in the way of them getting into the building. However, someone else would see him, and this mysterious person would spring into action. With a flash of what appeared to be long white hair and metal. Watts would find himself slamming into the ground, getting himself fairly dirty, however luckily for him there didn't appear to be any sort of injuries from what he could tell. If he looked up, he'd immediately find a sword pressed up against his neck, actually two swords, wait three? He'd see a woman standing above him, with four swords, each one pointed directly at his neck. She had six arms, and the two hands that weren't holding the swords were glowing with a slight purple aura.

"You are wasting your time in coming here. That's right, I know why it is that you have come. However the clock has about run out, there isn't enough time for you to be able to stop them," she said to him. However the way that she said them as opposed to us seemed to hint at the idea that she didn't consider herself one of the people who were running the facility. If that was the case, there might be a chance that she'd help them, if he asked nicely and figured out what to say that is.

Meanwhile, back on the jet, Sapphire rolled her eyes somewhat as to what it is that the group was saying. Though she was glad that Watts went out to go play spy, or scout, or whatever the hell he likely was being. Though she did think that Evelyn's plan had some merits, it certainly sounded like their best option, considering the fact that they had a big base or whatever to go through. There was one problem, that would only mean two people at a time going places, so if something went wrong, then things would likely go really wrong. Then there was Bella's idea, which would at least have 3 people in a group, so there was room for error, but they would definitely be going a bit slower.

Decisions decisions.

"I'll be honest, Evelyn's idea strikes me as being a bit better. Since you all constantly have been saying that time is important, then splitting into just pairs likely would be better, since that would mean more groups who are able to search the facility. Not to mention we can still communicate with the other even if we are off in different groups. We can move a lot quicker that way, but that's just my opinion."

Evelyn nodded as both Sapphire and Bella agreed to her plan, as she looked out of the cockpit window for a moment Watts should have been here by now with his super speed anyway. She didn't like it at all either as she looked at them all, Wesley and Bobbi were both pretty quiet right now as well. "Watts should have been back by now. Lets go out as planned, he might be in trouble." Evelyn said as she started to walk out of the company jet and looked around. "Stick close for now and then we split up once we are inside." Evelyn said as she started to walk forwards the building.

Her eyes continued to scan the area her sword in hand as well so far there wasn't anyone outside as far as she could tell which sounded more like a trap right now as well. Evelyn still wasn't to sure if Andrew was still even alive and it was still a very elaborate trap set up by Gardner either. And Watts probably ended up getting himself into some kind of trouble as well, which he probably did at this point as well.

John Watts

Location: Outside the Big Bad's HQ
Skills: Molecular Oscillation
Watts' momentum had been brought to an abrupt halt, thanks to the mystery swordwoman. His first instinct was to vibrate his molecules quickly enough to phase through the swords, but he wasn't able to manage it. Ordinarily, he would have just added more speed serum into his body, but with four swords pointed at him he hardly had room for movement - even just trying to phase had resulted in some cuts. "... Spiral, isn't it?" he mused, staring at her. It was hard to not know who she was - very few people had so many extra limbs in the superhero community. He noted the glowing aura on her hands and remembered another piece of trivia -

Spiral didn't have a cause. "You know, I can't believe that you're working for them - they're really quite beneath you, aren't they? They're petty squabbles and grabs for power... It must be so frustrating to watch them become consumed by emotion, only to fail against heroes. That's the rules of this world isn't it? Heroes always win and villains always lose," he chuckled slightly. "But you're not a villain - or a hero - are you? It's a shame you picked this side, Serval lets us live like kings... More money than you could possibly know what to do with, the freedom to come and go as you please, all without the annoyance of something as silly as a cause... But hey, I get it - you chose the wrong side. I respect you for not wanting to switch, even if the grass is greener... And let's not even talk about all the adoring fans screaming your name as you are showered in fame and prizes..."

No one seemed to be taking initiative, instead, just spouting off ideas. Bella merely shrugged when hers was passed over. Splitting up to smaller groups also meant the increased likelihood of being spotted multiple times when they could have easily snuck in undetected with certain people's aid and powers. But Evelyn was right, Watts was not back yet and the man was speedy. That was concerning.

"Let's stop talking then and actually go do something." Without waiting for another word, Bella stepped off the plane and out into the base, wherever it was. She maintained some amount of stealth, but she expected having others running with her would increase the likelihood of being seen by someone. She debated just running off on her own to find Watts or Andrew but decided against it. For now at least. Instead, she made her way over quickly to the base where Andrew was being held.

Once she got closer, she saw Watts and someone else. Bella took out her sword and ran forward, standing next to Watts, facing off against whoever this was. "Mind filling us in here about this? Mutliple swords? Compensating for something?"

Serval Industries - Conference Room
A small group had been called together, those who were still within Serval as opposed to the group that had taken off somewhere else. They had all been called there by Gardner for a mission of sorts, though she didn't say right off the bat what that mission was. Once everyone had gathered within the room, Gardner turned to address the group that had gather, with Psylocke standing next to her waiting to hear the plan. "As you might have noticed, it has become eerily quite around here. That is because the rest of the team took off somewhere, and stole the jet, not saying a word about where they were going or why." Gardner said, as she looked at the people in the room. "It is your job to go after them and bring them back here. We tracked the jet down, and it is not too far from here, but see if you can bring the renegades back here so that we might figure out why they decided to do something such as this."

"For those of you who don't know, we'll have an interesting time dealing with the group, if it comes to having to fight them. Hopefully we don't have to though, as that group has several skilled fighters among them. We need to move quickly and see if they will come in quietly, if not then we'll have to wait and see what happens."

Sapphire and the others followed along after Belladonna and Evelyn, before they came across the whole situation with Watts and Spiral. Though when she heard the words out of Bella's mouth, Sapphire figured that odds were that was not the right thing to say. And based on what happened next? Seems like she was completely correct in that assumption.

Spiral stared at Watts for a moment, contemplating his words, before Belladonna showed up and had the nerve to pick a fight with her. With only one of her swords being used out of four, she spun around and whirled her arm around with a flick of her wrist, and Bella's sword went flying from her hand. "You really need to learn a thing or two about how the world works darling. If you take that sort of approach to things, Yuriko will tear you apart with ease. Now that would be an interesting thing to witness. Acting like you know what you are doing, when in reality you don't... Beginner's error. You have no idea who it is you are dealing with. It would do you some good to learn just who it is that you are dealing with."

"If that's the case, then maybe you would be so kind as to who you are for the rest of us who don't know right off the bat who you are?" Sapphire said a bit sarcastically towards Spiral, who turned her attention towards her.

"I am known as Spiral. I had a different name at one point, but I don't remember what exactly it was. Though I will say this, where I am from, in the Mojoverse, free will was something that not many people had, myself included. Slavery is still very real there. I can help you, however as I told you John Watts, you might already be too late to save your friend, but you might be able to potentially stop them completely, barely anyway. The group you are up against is not a group to be taken lightly. Yuriko can easily rip the lot of you to shreds if you don't keep her at a distance at the least. The Sisters Mastermind, well, they you would want to fight in a close combat scenario. Then there is Madelyn... She's a bit of a wild card."

"I've heard rumors about three of those people, but who is Madelyn?"

"Her name is Madelyn Pryor, and she's a clone of Jean Grey, which means she has the same powers as Jean Grey. Like I said, a bit of a wild card, though she likely won't come out to play until after the others are dealt with. Since her resemblance to Ms. Grey is uncanny, people likely would question her and wonder what was going on and who she was. Your CEO? Rae Gardner? I know her by another name, Regan Wyngarde, or Lady Mastermind. I heard she was thinking of messing with your minds in some way, so if you hallucinated something, odds are she caused it. Don't take her illusions lightly though. She has caused a person to drown on dry land with those illusions, and so has her sister Martinique."

"Cool, sounds like fun!"

"I can lead you inside, and direct you to where you likely want to go, but that is it. You will be on your own after that, as I would prefer to keep on living thank you very much."

"So, you can get us inside? Sweet, then lead the way if you ask me, we have nothing left to lose, so I'm all for going along with this."

"If you wish to follow me, then feel free to," Spiral said, heading towards the building. They weren't too far from one of the entrances, and using one of her hands, spiral placed it on a scanner and the door opened up, and she waved one of her hands for them, "After you. From this part of the building, your friend is located, or was last I saw him, is down this hallway to the left. First door on your left will lead you to a staircase, one goes up, the other down. Go down the stairs, first door on your right, that's where he was when I last saw him about half an hour ago."

Elara Wessex

Location: Serval Industries HQ, Conference Room
Skills: N/A

Serval Industries HQ. What a corporate palace. Elara had been in Virginia for one week now, and she had to admit that life here seemed pretty easy. For the past week she took her time settling into her new life. She'd figured out a solid running course, already decided on her favorite cafe nearby, and had finally finished unpacking her things. She was still getting used to living around other super-abled people, and it felt extremely odd to be so open about her abilities. So far, she'd kept to herself. If she wasn't out in the city exploring or training, she was in her room with a book or on the phone with her dad.

So, when she received a call to meet in the Serval Industries conference room Elara knew that her "time to settle in" was over. She wasn't exactly sure what she was going to be tasked to do, but the nervous excitement for her first mission carried her from her room towards the meeting without a second thought. She almost ran to the building to relax some of her thoughts. She was still deciding whether she liked being a part of Serval Industries. They would keep her identity a secret and allow to her continue to use her abilities, sure, but what was she going to do when she questioned the orders that came from up top? Would her missions really be given to her to make a difference out there, or would they just be in the interests of the company? These were things that ran through her mindas she stepped into the conference room.

She chose to stand towards the far left, near a window that made the room feel a little less stuffy. She took a calming breath to ease her mind and turned her focus onto the people in the room. She glanced over each individual, noting that most of them wore plain clothes and didn't seem bothered that people might recognize them. Elara had chosen to wear her all black "costume" for any missions related to superhero-ism. Her lace mask was tucked into the pocket of her joggers and ready to be put on the moment she left HQ. She'd chosen to opt out of a jacket today, in case she needed to move quickly in her first mission.

Her attention was drawn from her colleagues to the head of Serval Industries, Rae Gardner, when she began to speak. The former X-Men Psylocke stood next to her. She had briefly met both of them when she first moved to Serval, but the short hello's and "welcome to Serval"'s wasn't enough to give Elara a sense of character from the two.

Elara listened closely to what Gardner had to say. A small frown tugged at the corners of her lips. A group had gone off on their own, without Gardner's approval? Elara glanced around at her new teammates and wondered if they were thinking the same thing. There had to be a reason this group up and left, and it was odd to Elara that Gardner hadn't just contacted them herself. Either way, the group could either be causing trouble or there was a misunderstanding. They were being sent to figure this out, and it seemed that Psylocke was coming too. Elara looked back to Gardner and Psylocke and nodded to acknowledge that she was listening. She stood straighter, prepared for her first mission. It was certainly going to be interesting.

🏹 Arthur Twist 🏹

Location: Roof of the Big Bad's HQ -> Staircase -> Room with Cabinets
Skills: Investigation, Stealth
Perched on the rooftop like a bird of prey, Arthur surveyed the scene below. The four armed woman didn't strike him as an immediate danger to those down below and while he would save their lives if he needed to, they weren't his top priority. His mission was, and forever would be, to avenge the murder of his late father, Harrison Snow. The X-Factor members below - Mercury, Sapphire, Belladonna... He knew their abilities, why they had been recruited to the team his father founded. Spiral's history was not a mystery to him either and the only reason he hadn't killed her on sight was that he needed her alive. She was going to lead him right to the head of this beast.

The biggest curveball was the presence of Sapphire - he would need to keep an eye on her. He couldn't hear what they were saying, but he watched as Spiral led the assorted group inside the complex. While he could have shot an arrow to jam the door and keep it from locking behind them, he also knew that it would just draw attention to himself. He would need to find a different way inside. His eyes darted around rapidly, before settling on the roof access door near him. Moving over to it quietly with an arrow notched in his bow, he opened the door easily - it hadn't even been locked, something that struck him as an oversight.

There was a staircase leading down and Arthur quietly descended. Once he reached the landing he found himself facing an extended hallway lined with doors. At the very end, there were two corridors that split off. Stepping into the nearest room, he glanced around. Cabinets lined the walls and there was a computer on the desk. Pausing for a moment, he went over to the cabinets and ran his gloved hands over them, searching for a trigger or a lever. Eventually, there was a click and one of the cabinets moved aside, revealing an elevator.

Maybe he didn't need Spiral after all.

⚡John Watts⚡

Location: Outside the Big Bad's HQ -> Inside -> Andrew's Prison
Skills: Molecular Oscillation, Superspeed
Watts' expression hardened into a glare as Spiral knocked Belladonna's blade from her hands. She wasn't his child, but he still felt a certain amount of fatherly protectiveness towards her. Bella wasn't that much older than his daughter and was just a little bit younger than his son, after all. Of course, Spiral was at the very least helpful enough to monologue and share some key information on their opponents, including the revelation that one of them was a clone of the X-Man Jean Grey. The hallucination of Andrew apparently had been caused by the CEO and Watts couldn't help but shake his head slightly. If he were a villain, he wouldn't waste his energy on petty parlor tricks like that. There were far more effective ways to rid oneself of enemies and the hallucination had only increased Watts' drive to come here. In short, Rae's efforts had backfired.

"Let's go," he said, picking up the sword and returning it to Bella's hand in a flash. He followed after Spiral into the complex and listened to her instructions, tripping slightly but catching himself as he ran off at superspeed. The door was locked and he started to vibrate each atom of his body, phasing through the door and emerging on the other side. Immediately, Watts noticed the darkness of the room - and the faded singe marks on the wall that made the outline of door hinges. The lamps had been ripped apart and salvaged for parts and there were some components of the blasters in Andrew's suit.

"GOD FUCKING DAMN IT!" Watts screamed, his eyes glowing red from the speed serum coursing through his veins as he turned and punched the wall as hard as he could, creating a gigantic hole but it did nothing to satiate the anger burning a hole through his heart. "ANDREW! WHERE ARE YOU?!"

Evelyn followed behind both Belladonna and Sapphire until they were where Watts was, and seeing a four armed woman with three of her swords pressed up against Watts' neck. "It looks like you have your arms full Watts." Evelyn said, as she had her hand just hovering over the hilt of her katana. She thought about stepping in, but Spiral managed to disarm Belladonna with no problems at all which was surprisingly quick as well. Spiral started to tell them some information and didn't seem to want to fight against them which was good then, though it was information that they all had figured out together from Rae Gardner's office.

Though she wasn't sure if the information that Spiral was actually true as she walked towards the building itself and opened the door for them. Watts went and gave back Belladonna's sword before running ahead of them, closing her eyes slightly and shook her head slightly he wasn't acting very smart at the moment. "Thank you for the information." Evelyn said, as she started to go down the hallway and followed the directions that Spiral had given them all. "They most likely took him to a lower level!" Evelyn yelled towards Watts hopefully that would get his attention.

Casey Frazier

Location: Serval Industries HQ, Virginia
Skills: N/A

Casey spent most of her time away from Serval HQ for the most part she wasn't in the building at the time the company had it's gala when the whole problem happened. As she now stood in the conference room she started to scan those that were in the room with her, she didn't know them at the moment, before turning her attention towards the new CEO Rae Gardner. She started to tell the group about the rest of the team going off and taking the company jet off somewhere. It would most likely end up turning into some kind of fight when they all caught up to the group as well.

The others in the room seemed to still be pretty quiet before turning her attention over towards Psylocke and started to speak. "And what if they don't end up returning willingly, do you want us to incapacitate them?" Casey asked, she was pretty sure that they wouldn't be coming back willingly, turning her attention towards Rae. "Is there another company jet that we can use?"

Location: Playground -> Serval Industries HQ, Conference Room
Skills: N/A

-- Playground 3 hours prior --

Off in an empty playground sat Jo on a bench on the other side of the park, as far away from the parking lot as the area allowed. Jo's left ankle resting on her knee and an old looking book over the plateau her leg made. Jo had considered attempting some new runes, though those available to her weren't exactly something she could try on her own. So that only left spell she could practice. Her eyes carefully scanned the pages of Solaris Mico; a powerful Solar spell that infuses Condensed Light Magic into the user and cycles that energy throughout the body until it turns the User into a blinding flash of light.

She had gone over the pages at least three times as she sat on the bench, nervously brushing her long hair behind her ear. This wouldn't be her first time she had attempted this spell. She knows how poorly it could go if performed incorrectly. She would basically be taking a blast of Condensed Light Magic straight to the chest. Sighing in defeat she decided it was about time to test herself on. Continuing to read the pages has lost its usefulness for the time being without actual implementation. Jo casually reformed the earmark on the page before closing the book and setting it on the bench beside her, pushing herself up to her feet.

Jo took several steps away form the bench, taking a moment to ease her nerves and settle her mind. She took a wide footing and brought her hands up over her chest. Placing her finger tips together and creating a hand cage she closed her eyes and focused herself, attuning herself to the flow of magic that flowed through her and the world that surrounded her. Magically light began to spark across her forearms and into her hands. From her palms shot small streams of light that slammed into a focal point in the center of her hand cage. Slowly the light grew until it was too bright too see the function of the spell. Simply a bright light radiating out from her hand cage.

Sweat began to bead over her brow, her arms faintly twitching as she began to strain. Slowly the bleeding light slowly seemed to pull inward back into the hand cage. As the Light Magic began to condense sparks of violent energy. Over the course of fifteen seconds the light condensed down into a ball nearly the size of a tennis ball, sparking and swirling within the hand cage.

"Solaris Mico!" Jo's voice powerfully boomed through the empty playground.

As her words finished she took the caged ball of condensed light and slammed it into her chest, disappearing into herself. Immediately she threw her arms out away from herself as described in the book. Her eyes clenched even tighter closed as she felt the Condensed Magic burst inside her and begin to spread throughout her.

Something went wrong.

Jo suddenly cried out in agony, a shriek of pain escaping her lips. Feeling as though hot coals were rocketing violent through her veins out from the core of her body. Her skin began to glow brilliantly, though in streaks and not the blending light as intended. It took only five seconds before the light dissipated and left her, faint red burn lines scattered having formed sporadically over her skin.

Jo dropped to her knees, sitting down on her ankles and slumping into herself. Breathing heavily as she tried to overcome the searing sensation that her body was left with. Unsuccessful, again. She groaned angrily to herself in frustration. She tried pushing herself to her feet but collapsed back into herself. She took a few more breaths and gave herself some time regain some strength. She then weakly pushed herself back to her feet. Taking a long moment to gain confidence in her foot she finally walked back to the bench, basically falling back onto the seat. She stretched out her left leg and straightened herself out a bit before stuffing her hand into her left pocket, pulling her small notepad and pen from it.

Flipping through her notepad in search for a blank page she finally found one, clicking open her pen she began to write.

Solaris Mico Test #7: Failed
Stance: Potentially Incorrect.
Cast: Potentially Correct.
Stability: Likely Unstable.
Conclusion: Condense Magic seemingly unstable. Potentially a Form or Focus issue. Requires more research. Attempt at lower levels to practice finer control and stability.
Note: Don't be dumb Jo. This time you hurt yourself so show some restraint.

With that she closed her pen and notepad, clipping the pen to the pages before stuffing it back into her pocket. She hung her head back as she remained on the bench. Moaning disheartedly to herself. Feeling mildly defeated at present. And sore, sore was definitely a prominent sensation.

-- Conference Room: Serval Industries --

Having given herself a couple hours at home to shower and rest Jo was feeling much better after her failed attempts. Though even during her rest her mind never left the thoughts of what went wrong during the spell. She ultimately came to no finite conclusion on the matter. It would take time, she needed to remind herself to practice patience.

Jo entered the facility with relative ease, kindly greeting security as she passed through. Though she remembered few of their names she did her best to at least appear like she remembered them all. Finally reaching her destination she pushed herself into the room quietly, not wanting to draw much attention to herself at this point. She was a newbie, no reason to look like a stumbling loud baffoon during her first mission briefing.

With struggling grace she walked to the end of the table, taking notice of the girl standing nearby in the corner. For a split moment she thought it was Layla, though she shook the thought quickly. The only similarity was the hair; lightly scolding herself for coming to such a quick and ridiculous conclusion off something so minuscule.

Jo continued towards her seat. Wearing a simple charcoal tank top, black leather jacket she left open, black torn jeans and high top boots. Her long dirty blonde hair messily pushed over to the right side.

As she reached the last chair she pulled it out and sat herself down. While she had mostly regained herself after her little snafoo she was still a bit sore; deciding sitting was the best course of action. While waiting for the meeting to begin she produced her notepad once again out of her pants. She opened the small notepad and flipped the the countless pages, all filled with randomly chicken scratch writing and small doodles. Finally settling on a page she began to read. Looking over the few pages she had written down notes on the Solaris Mico spell.

After a short time of study the meeting seemed to begin she focused on the mission. Absently closing her notepad and stuffing it back into her pocket.

As the mission details became more clear she felt an odd sense about it. They were supposed to track down the other members and bring them back? They were established heroes. At least within this organization. There had to be a reason they would do something such as that. Jo glanced around the room, locking eyes with the girl in the corner for a brief moment. Apparently Jo wasn't the only one confused. But that was their mission. They would figure out the reason and bring them back. Seemingly straight forward. They were all the good guys after all. There shouldn't be too much fuss. Right?

She then turned her attention as she heard another of the members speak up. She hid the surprise and concern from showing. Incapacitate them? They were relatively seasoned heroes. She didn't know what the others were capable of but Jo still had so much more to learn. Jo is best more in a supportive role. She can defend herself with her Orbis Luminis but that could even still use far more training. Despite the fact she has relatively remarkable control over them she has hardly used them in real combat scenarios.

She shook the thoughts from her mind. This was the time she would prove herself. She wasn't some old witch hiding out in the woods, shrieking spells over a cauldron. She was a hero. They did not falter in the face of difficult odds. They were steadfast and brave.

She really, REALLY hoped it didn't come to fighting. At least not against other heroes.

Daryn Reid

Location: Serval Industries HQ Hallway -> Serval Industries HQ Conference Room
Skills: N/A

Daryn had only been at Serval Industries for about two days and as such still had no idea where anything was. In fact he wasn’t sure where anything was in this entire state. The last time he had been to the east coast was on vacation as a child, and he didn’t really remember any part of that. It was all really overwhelming to Daryn, just as the idea of being a big superhero was. But Daryn was optimistic about being up to it, if he hadn’t he wouldn’t of signed that contract Serval had given him. He was really jumping in head first.

As Daryn made his way through the long hallways, he finally found what he was looking for, the conference room. Daryn’s presence had been requested in the conference room a while ago, and of course it seemed that he was the last one to arrive. He moved to open the door, only to pause and remember to put on his mask. Although some of the team were alright having no secret identity, Daryn still wanted some privacy. To that end, he slowly opened the door to the conference room and crept inside, praying no one would notice him, as he found a spot at the back of the room.

Luckily for Daryn, it seemed that no one noticed him. In fact it seemed that he was even a part of the team as Ms. Gardner had already begun explaining what their mission was. Apparently the rest of the team went rogue, so they were sending in the new guys. Daryn briefly wondered if he was up for this mission, before quickly deciding at least it wasn’t just him going. In fact, everyone else seemed really ready, as Daryn felt under dressed in his homemade black and orange hero costume. He wondered if he should see if Serval Industries could make him a better man.

As Daryn pondered this dilemma, another team member began speaking. She seemed familiar, maybe an X-Man? But what was more pressing was the mention that the rogues were skilled fighters. The inadequacy of a few years of Tae Kwon Do, became very apparent to Daryn. He didn’t really feel like dying on his first day with the team.

The question of how to actually deal with the other team members was raised by the cyborg girl. Daryn realized that he should be making an effort to learn everyone’s name. “So would they also be trying to incapacitate us? Or, are they going for the kill?” Daryn asked, while shifting his feet. Daryn had never really been in a fight that high stakes, and he didn’t really want to be in one. But, if that meant becoming an actual superhero, he would have to get used to it.

Serval Industries - Conference Room
Gardner nodded her head at Casey, "Yes, if need be incapacitate them, but hopefully it won't come to that. Psylocke here is going to be in charge for the most part, she tends to accept ideas, but in the end it is she that will be making the final call on things, got it?" Psylocke just nodded her head, having expected it. Hearing the other question that Casey had, she turned to look at her.

"Luckily, there is, it's a bit smaller then the other one, and not quite as nice, but it should be able to get us from point a to point b without crashing down in a fireball. And don't worry," she added, looking over at Daryn, "They won't try to kill you, they would more likely try to knock you out if they feel like you are threatening them for some reason. We are to go there, and try to talk them into coming back here kindly. If that doesn't work then we switch to force. Now, let's get going."

With those last words, Psylocke left the room and headed towards the hanger bay, figuring that the others would follow after her so that they could deal with the situation quickly as opposed to sitting around talking all day.

Base - Elevator to Lower Levels
When Arthur reaches the bottom level in the elevator, he'll hear voices farther along the hallway, long before he sees the owners. However, having done some research on the Sisterhood, he'd recognize the voices as those belonging to Yuriko Oyama and Martinique Wyngarde,

"Any idea when your sister will show up and join us? Madelyn seemed determined to try and do things quickly, and without her if need be."

"I don't know, she might have gotten caught up in dealing with that team of hers... Why did we ever want to keep X-Factor around again?"

"If I remember correctly, it was because no one would easily suspect that your sister was connected to an organization like our own if she was the one calling the shots for a superhero team. Made it a bit more easy for her to blend in. However I will say this, she was rather careless wasn't she? Madelyn was not too thrilled with her at one point."

"Yeah I know that, but we bounced back, and that is all that matters really."

"What was that?" Yuriko asked, listening, and Arthur would be able to hear it as well, it was the sounds of Watts' voice a few floors up from them, screaming out loud. It was muffled, but they'd still be able to make out what it was that he was saying.

"...It would seem that X-Factor has come, Regan warned me that they would come, she was attempting to keep them occupied, but it didn't seem to work all too well."

"Another reason why we cannot delay any longer. They are here, and from the sounds of it, they are determined more or less to find their friend. Though I thought they thought he was dead. You know, that explosion that occurred that Regan kept mentioning. It does not matter, we need to get a move on, now," she said, as she started walking along the corridor.

Martinique let out a bit of a sigh, "Yeah, I know, guess we can't wait for Rae any longer," she said, before their voices disappeared and there was the sound of a door opening and closing farther along the hallway, leaving Arthur alone.

Spiral just nodded her head slightly at the group as they went inside. "The stairs only go down one level however. If your friend is not in that room, I suggest looking for the elevator that is hidden on that level, it'll take you down to the bottom floor, hard part will likely be finding it, but good luck to you," she said simply, before she disappeared in a sort of puff of smoke, using magic to teleport away.

"Well that was definitely an interesting encounter that I honestly expected to go south, whatever, let's catch up to the others," Sapphire said simply towards Bella, before she raced down the hallway after Watts and Evelyn. She found this entire situation somewhat amusing, as Watts usually wasn't one to race off head first into a situation. Maybe he did care about people other then himself.

She heard Watts before she could see him, he wasn't exactly quiet, even if he was in another room of sorts. Walking down the stairs after Evelyn and Watts, she wouldn't be surprised if anyone else in the building would hear him and now probably knew that they were there. Walking up to the door that Spiral had indicated, she knocked slightly on the door so he knew that she was there. "You raced off too quickly, Spiral also said that there were no other stairs to the next level down and we have to find some hidden elevator, as that would be the other place to look in case you care."

Sapphire then turned to look at Evelyn, shaking her head slightly, "I'll be honest, did not expect that reaction from him. And now everyone in the building probably knows we're here."

🏹 Arthur Twist 🏹

Location: Big Bad HQ - Lowest Level: Hallway -> Empty Room
Skills: Investigation, Archery, Stealth
The voices of the Sisterhood members caused Arthur to pause, flattening himself up against the wall just in case they were to come his direction. The voices weren't hard to identify - Lady Deathstrike and one of the Mastermind sisters. Cold anger filled his veins as they so callously mentioned the team his father had put together for Serval Industries - the X-Factor. With these two out to play, he knew that he was definitely getting closer to finding the head of the beast - the Red Queen, Madelyn Pryor. Fortunately, they hadn't noticed him and once they safely had gone into the next area, Arthur scanned his immediate surroundings.

There were cameras everywhere. Switching his current arrow out for an EMP modified one, he took out the first security camera with near perfect aim - and he repeated this process until they all had been broken. An organization with this level of power was bound to notice their security systems go offline, but Arthur didn't care - he just needed them to buy him a few pressure seconds, maybe even a minute. He calculated it would take at least that long for the guards to notice. Switching his arrows for one with an explosive end, Arthur then began to slowly move down the hallway.

Slipping inside an empty room, he aimed his arrow at the end of the hallway and let it fly. A massive explosion resulted and Arthur quickly closed the door of his room quietly, ducking down to hide in the darkness. With any luck, the two Sisterhood members would be sent to investigate, clearing the way for him to continue on. He knew he couldn't beat these powered individuals in a fair fight, so he had to rig the odds in his favor.

⚡John Watts⚡

Location: Big Bad HQ - One Level Down: Andrew's Prison? -> Secret Elevator
Skills: Perception, Superspeed
Watts' entire body was vibrating rapidly, the anger burning like a supernova in his core. He almost didn't register Evelyn's words - that if Andrew wasn't there, he might be on a lower level. All of his talk earlier of strategy had gone out of the window. His normal logical nature had been displaced by an intense need to rescue the cupcake eater - and to rip out the hearts of every villain in this place while he was at it. "I KNOW!" Watts raged. He had heard Spiral's directions - he had used them in order to come to this place. Both of his hands were balled into fists. Sapphire was the next one to give him information, this time information he hadn't had before.

Flinging the door open, Watts ran up and down the hallway at superspeed, red lightning trailing behind him. Eventually, as he gently pressed his hand against the panels of the wall, one of them gave way and opened to reveal an elevator. Screeching to a halt, scuff marks appeared on the ground and the red lightning was still darting all around his body. "Elevator. Now." He wasn't going to give people an option to talk about their feelings first. He jabbed his thumb up against the button to call for it and the elevator came quickly enough. Watts stepped inside, holding the door long enough for the rest of the team to enter if they so wished.

His eyes darted rapidly over the buttons available to them. The red glow didn't distort his vision as much as others might imagine. There were only two floors lower than them and he couldn't see any obvious indication as to which button was used the most, so he jabbed the button for the lowest floor based on pure guesswork.

Evelyn Holder

Location: Wherever The Base Is, Virginia
Skills: N/A

Evelyn continued to follow Spiral a little bit further, as she started to rub the bridge of her nose now Watts was good but right now he was really acting more like a liability for this mission. She turned to look at both Bella and Sapphire when she spoke up and sighed slightly the enemy would obviously know that they were all here now as well. Which was not an ideal situation at all right now either, as Spiral disappeared after giving the little bit more information on where the elevator would lead them. "I swear he's going to kill us all right now." Evelyn said.

Evelyn shaking her head as she ran forward and started to catch up seeing Watts already in the elevator. She clenched her fist the moment she was close enough Evelyn went in to punch, which she missed and punched the wall of the elevator. Before turning around and punched Watts in the side of his head as she started to glare at him angerly and got right up to his face. "You are putting Andrew and all of us at risk, and you probably have alerted everyone in the entire fucking building they will probably kill him now at this point!" Evelyn hissed at him, while poking his chest.

Casey Frazier

Location: Serval Industries HQ, Virginia

Casey turned and tilted her head to the side slightly as Daryn came into the room, eyeing his clothes for a moment, she didn't really get why he chose to dress up. But she decided to not say anything about it at the moment, before Garnder answered her question and nodded towards her. She didn't have an issue with fighting them if it did end up coming to it as well, and then Psylocke answered the second part of her question. The jet would get them to where the rest of the X-Factor team had gone off to, and nodded as she was more than ready to go out on the mission to bring the others back to Serval HQ.

Casey followed shortly behind Psylocke down the hallway before stopping into her room, grabbing her two weapons as well as extra ammo as well just to be on the safe side. Casey continued to follow towards the jet she didn't really care if the jet was smaller and less fancy then the one that the rest of the members had take.

Belladonna

Location: Wherever The Hell The Base Was
Skills: N/A

Bella had not been disarmed before. She would credit the woman's skills had she not jumped the gun and attacked her without merit. She was not an honorable swordswoman, it seemed. Watts had returned her sword but sped off before she could properly thank him. She sheathed her weapon and shrugged once Sapphire and Evelyn had joined them. "He is eager to find Andrew. If I had to guess, he feels guilty for this and is desperate to make amends. That and he is hot-headed, which we already knew."

Bella let Spiral leave without a word. She would see her again and deal with her that day. For now, she followed the others into the room Watts ran into. Watts seemed to grow angrier. "Yelling and screaming won't bring him back any quicker and it will make our jobs harder. Either way, prepare for a fight. I doubt they are just going to let us walk in."

Bella took out her sword and gun and held them at the ready. She closed her eyes, honing herself for the battle ahead.

Elara Wessex

Location: Serval Industries HQ, From Conference Room to Hangar Bay
Skills: N/A

Elara kept quiet as the emotionless woman asked questions about the mission. She couldn't help but continue to observe her colleagues as Gardner and Psylocke answered them. A young woman sitting nearby caught her attention. She held a notebook in her hand. It was filled with scribbles, doodles, and what looked like honest to god witchcraft. What kind of abilities was she bringing to the table?

A late arrival caught her attention as well. He was the only other person in the room with a mask and costume besides her. She hadn't even put her mask on, either. This guy was more paranoid than she was. Maybe that was a good thing. He looked nervous as he asked Psylocke and Gardner if the rogue group posed any potential threat to their safety. Was this his first mission, too?

Pyslocke assured the group that no real harm would come to them, and with that said she headed towards the door. Elara followed the small group through the halls and to the hanger bay. She hadn't been back here since the tour of the grounds, but it still awed her to see a room so large and full of expensive tech.

Psylocke described the second jet as small and not as nice as the first, but as Eli boarded the jet she thought differently. If this was the small, shitty jet, then she really wanted to see the nicer one. These superheroes were given everything they needed, and then some.

Elara sat down in the nearest seat, beginning to feel a little nervous about the flight. Especially after Psylocke had mentioned "crashing down in a fireball." She had only flown in planes before her accident, and then the one plane ride it took to get to Virginia. While planes were nothing like riding in cars, they were basically the same. How could Eli trust that nothing like that would happen?

She absentmindedly rubbed the spot on the back of her neck, her fingers tracing over the scar. When she realized what she was doing, she pulled her hand away and attempted to clear her thoughts. She needed to focus on her first mission. Her fears weren't going to stop her today. Her jaw clenched as the jet began firing up, but she steeled her nerves. Slowly pulling her mask from her pocket, Elara tied the ribbon behind her head and secured the lace to her face. She was ready to get to work.

Jo didn't say anything as the meeting closed. As Psylocke lead the group out of the room Jo simply pushed herself up out of her seat and following along down the pathways that lead to the Hangar Bay from which that would depart on their mission.

Jo was happy to hear that the first course of action they would take is talking to the group. Trying to get them to come back without a fight. At the very least they weren't trying to start a fight with the AWOL heroes. But in truth Jo believed they shouldn't fight them at all, unless they were doing something illegal. Yeah, they stole the jet and went off without telling anyone. But what innocent people were in danger? Obviously she agreed they should try and get them to agree to return, or at least relinquish control of company property. But fight them into submission if they refused to come back willing? That all seemed a bit... drastic.

But Jolene ultimately remained quiet. Letting the silent tapping of feet down concrete fill the silence. This was her first mission. She didn't know how this organization operated yet. So she had no real claim to start offering her uninvited input. She would simply follow along and do as told.

Serval Industries - Hangar Bay -> Outside of Sisterhood Base
"Should be a pretty short plane ride, so don't get too comfortable," Psylocke said as she got on board of the place, leading the others there. The mission was pretty straight forward, find the rest of the team and bring them back to Serval, only using force if necessary. Simple enough, if only that group would actually listen to them. Psylocke knew that of the group, there were a few people who would be hard to convince of anything.

Once everyone was on board, she fired up the engine and the jet took off into the air, and not too long after that, they were already circling above their destination. "Told ya it wouldn't be too long of a flight. There's the main jet, I'll see about landing us near them and we can see about potentially finding the group of renegades..." she said, before the plane touched down near the other jet, and the ramp lowered to allow them to get off. Psylocke got up from the pilot's seat and headed off the plane.

Arthur
The explosion that Arthur caused created significant damage to the hallway in general. He'd actually be able to see the hallway of the floor above as the roof partially caved in on itself (seriously Mor, you and your explosions). When the dust had settled, and if he poked his head out to look to see if anyone was coming, he'd be able to see Yuriko and Martinique had exited the room that they had been in, coming to investigate the explosion.

"So, it would appear a few visitors of ours might be nearby,' Lady Deathstrike said, clearly sounding more then a little bit annoyed with things.

"Clearly... Though who in their right mind creates an explosion underground is beyond me, perhaps these people are more idiotic then we initially thought."

"Perhaps..."

Their voices were drawing closer to him, but instead of stopping at the door, they continued onwards towards where the explosion had been. Seems like luck was on his side for the moment anyway

"Wow, so pushy Watts," Sapphire said with an eye roll, walking over to the elevator and stepping inside. She had to stop herself from smirking slightly at Evelyn's bit of a tirade at Watts. The guy deserved it, as he wasn't listening to common sense at this point. As the doors shut though, they'd feel a bit of a rumble coming down from below them. As well as a very loud booming noise that shook the elevator entirely, and for a moment it would seem like the elevator was going to drop entirely and they'd plummet and probably get crushed. Luckily for them, that didn't happen, as the elevator stopped on the bottom floor, letting them out into a bit of a lab area.

"Alright, whose blowing things up down here? And who thinks it's a good idea to cause explosions underground? I mean really!" she said as she exited the elevator and looked around the room for a moment, before she stopped by the door, listening. The group in the lab would be able to hear Lady Deathstrike and Mastermind's voices nearby. Actually, they sounded incredibly close, almost like they were outside of the door. That was going to make things interesting, considering the fact that two members of the Sisterhood were standing in between them and where they likely wanted to be.

Daryn Reid

Location: Serval Industries HQ -> Serval Industries Jet
Skills: N/A

Daryn was pretty relieved as Psylocke stated that there might not even be a fight. He also felt a bit stupid for assuming the others would be dangerous. Still he mentally prepared himself for the worst, as things probably would go straightforward. Daryn brushed his hands against the pieces of metal stored on his suit, just confirming that he was ready to use his powers if needed, cause when it came down to it, his mutant powers were the best move in his repertoire.

Daryn then followed Psylocke as she led the group out of the conference room. He was glad that he had a guide, as the hangar was another part of Serval Industries that he had no idea where it was. Once in the hangar, Daryn was impressed by the jet. They had said it was a back-up jet, yet it was far nicer than any aircraft Daryn had ever seen. As he entered the jet he was once again impressed by the inner part of the plane; definitely luxury. Daryn got into a very comfortable window seat, then the jet took off.

During the ensuing flight, Daryn went over the various ways that this mission could go. A lot of them were very bad for Daryn, but then again, a lot were just talking. Daryn then decided to just wing it and hope that his first mission goes well. By the time they were about to land, Daryn had mentally steeled himself ready for the mission. The jet set down next to a bigger jet, presumably the stolen one, as Psylocke restated their mission. Daryn exhaled slowly as he got out of his chair.

Daryn followed Psylocke down the ramp off the plane. He turned to her, “So, I forgot to ask. Who exactly are we looking for? I’m super new and don’t know anyone yet.” Yet again Daryn felt stupid, having not gone over his teammates files. That was yet another thing to add to his to do list after the mission.

⚡John Watts⚡

Location: Big Bad HQ - Secret Elevator -> Elevator Room
Skills: Cyclone Generation, Superspeed
Watts was too angry to feel the pain of Evelyn's punch and he wasn't about to just let someone lecture him, when in Watts' opinion their actions were far more likely to endanger Andrew's life. "Punch me again and you'll regret it," he warned Evelyn darkly, acting on pure rage regardless of his feelings for her. "If you believe that my exclamations somehow are more of a giveaway than a fucking jet landing here or the fact that no one has even fucking bothered to deal with cameras, then you are not HALF the warrior I thought you were!" he pointed out. This mission was never about stealth - that wasn't how they were going to beat these people and rescue Andrew. No, it was going to be a game where in the end, someone would most likely lose their life. He hoped that it wouldn't be those on the team he cared for, but he couldn't control that. The universe demanded balance, so if they were going to save Andrew... someone would have to be lost.

He ignored Belladonna's words, wanting the elevator to move faster and get them down to the lowest level. The doors had finally closed after what felt like an eternity of waiting and a moment later, the elevator started to shake, followed by a loud BOOM! He gave Evelyn a bit of a pointed look. He hadn't caused that, meaning that someone else was in this facility - as he doubted Andrew's abductors would make an explosion like that. He stepped out of the room with Sapphire and the others, hearing two female voices nearby. They must not have heard his screaming, only alerted by the explosion - he darted another pointed look over at Evelyn, practically screaming I told you so! at her. "I'll disorient them. You all, attack," Watts instructed, not bothering to wait for their agreement.

Zipping forward at superspeed, Watts flung the door open and then stepped to the side, moving his arms rapidly to create a cyclone that engulfed both Mastermind and Lady Deathstrike.

🏹 Arthur Twist 🏹

Location: Big Bad HQ - Lowest Level: Empty Room -> Machine Room
Skills: Stealth
He couldn't detect any sign of movement towards him, allowing Arthur to take a stealthy peak - his explosion had done more damage than he had predicted. The ceiling had partially caved in, allowing him to glance at the hallway for the floor above. While some might have been deterred by this, Arthur smirked slightly. It would be easiest to perform a fast getaway with that, as it would allow him to use a grappling arrow to elevate himself to higher floors, rather than relying on the elevator being available.

Even better, his targets had left the room of interest and were walking in the direction of the explosion to investigate. He couldn't have planned any of this better. They didn't even pause near his door, continuing to move onwards. Lady Luck must have been smiling on him. Arthur moved silently into the hallway and then through the door Mastermind and Lady Deathstrike had just come from, closing the door quietly behind him. The first thing he noticed was that the room was not entirely vacant - there was a man with dark brown hair standing over at a machine.

His bow extended, Arthur was ready to let loose an arrow and kill this man. "Step away from the machine slowly with your hands up," Arthur requested. He recognized him as a member of the X-Factor team, one who was supposed to be dead. That made him a threat. Whatever the Sisterhood had done to him... Arthur wasn't going to trust him. Period.
