Jen walk down to the arena with Maui as one trainers boo her, the second trainer told her she is a joke to be here, and the third trainer just sneer. The ref told them any more insults will be disqualified and begin. Jen pets pets Maui tp calm him down,Jen sends out Kawane her Alolan Raichu as the crowd are amazed by the ball of ligh zipping around. The trainers relief a Alolan Raichu, Toucannon, and Ledian they team up to take down Kawane as they thought Jen was a weak blind girl.

Kawane use Phychic to use the attacks that was aimed at him taken out Ledian with Toucannon Over Heat, Ledian took out Alolan Raichu with Silver Wing and Toocannon was slam into the floor. Jen recalls Kawaneand walks off as Maui followers her and cuddles with her as she pets him.

Ash had won spot 32, Gladion won spot 45, and a boy named Hau got spot 30 using: Pikachu, Umbreon, and Decidyeue respectively. Kiawe took spot 21 using Turtinator, and a man named "Jimothy", who to the heroes would very clearly be Team Rocket's James in disguise got spot 37 thanks to Marinee. Liam point "Jimothy" out. "Guys, we need to keep our eyes peeled for Jessie."

Selina battle ended almost within seconds as her Zelina basically destroyed each member of the opposing team within seconds leaving the crowd, Ref and opponents dumbfounded before the crowd cheered for her, as she flipped her hair back as she walked off.

Veronica was a little frightened about facing people but took a deep breath to calm herself before taking up her postion, taking on an Incinaroar, Drampa and Mawile. Her Altaria was able to make quick work of each her foes when she mega evoled her and the crowd cheered for her.

Liam would get a call from Mike, "I can see Team Rocket playing the long game here, every food service person that came to this tournament has had to sign in and I've noticed a strange name that sounds like a Team Rocket disgused name. I've got the Guard Pokemon watching Team Rocket right, Jen can probably sence them. They'll keep an eye on things for us"

Chuck was up next, dealing with a Haxorus, a Charizard, and an Alolan Marowak. Ariel made quick work of the Charizard and Marowak with a well timed Surf, and then dealt a massive Twinkling Tackle to the Haxorus, earning Chuck his spot as number 38.

Before Selina had her battle Shiranui got the penultimate match, dealing with a Machamp, a Toucannon and a Whimsicott. A Blizzard took out the Whimsicott and a Surf rendered Toucannon grounded and out. A Moonblast was what it took to KO Machamp, earning Shiranui the 63rd spot.

Veronica saw the board and nodded to herself as she would be first to go onto the battlefield. She patted her Altaeia neck but choose to go with her Ninetails for this match.

Selina chuckled to herself seeing her match would be fifth to last. Good, more people can witness her Zerina in action though her main rival was still their too. She wanted to face Shinranui again but this time, she would face him with her own team. Not her mother team.

Soon, Veronica was called to the stands. She had dropped the Knightwing name to distance herself from her father and was introduced as Veronica Wicke, daughter of professor Wicke of the Ather Foundation. Her opponent was a young girl who sent out a Fairy type Clafable, thinking Veronica was bringing in Altaria again and was thrown off when Veronica reviled her Shiny Ninetails instead known as Kirasuna.

The two pokemon immediately clashed, with her Opponent strategy counter since she had not used Alteria. Veronica easily claimed the win by Knock Out, the crowd cheering for her.

Gladion was next He used his Umbreon while his opponent called out a Vikavolt. The Vikavolt used the Bug-Type Z move and came close to beating Gladion, but Umbreon pulled out a victory in the end. After three more matches, it was Chuck's turn.

Chuck stepped up next and his opponent sent out a Darmanitan. Chuck sent out Ariel and as soon as the battle began, he activated his Z-Ring, directing the Primarina to use her signature Z move, Oceanic Operetta. The Darmanitan was instantly knocked out from the massive torrent of water dropped onto it. Chuck recalled Ariel and went back to the stands to watch the others.

Jimothy went next and used Mareanie, which as soon as it emerged from its ball turned around and lovingly clamped onto his head for a brief moment before going to the battlefield. Behind Jimothy was a male Wobbafett waving a flag happily. His opponent was a young girl. She sent out an Alolan Raticate. Jimothy started off by having his Pokémon use Sludge Bomb which resulted in poisoning. The Raticate used Super Fang and Jimothy and Mareanie used Black Hole Eclipse to win.

The next battle (involving a named character) was Shiranui's battle.

Shiranui was glad to see no shenanigans from Jessie and Meowth during Jimothy's battle though he couldn't help but chuckle when he saw Jessie's Wobbuffet stand by Jimothy's side. When it came to his next battle, Shiranui's opponent sent out an Arbok while he sent out his Metagross. The battle was swift as one Zen Headbutt from a mega-evolved Yuugou was all it took to knock the snake out.

Kiawe went next and used Turtanator. His opponent sent out a Kantonian Golem. Kiawe had his Pokémon use Shell Smash and the Golem was instructed to use Defense Curl. Kiawe then went for Inferno Overdrive and got a critical hit, KO'ing the Golem.
