Appearance:
A girl of average height, average weight, and overall average appearance. Not particularly beautiful but also not ugly, she tends to go unnoticed and can be fairly nondescript. She has dark green hair and blue eyes. Will always wear long sleeves due to the intricate tribal tattoos that decorate her back and upper arms, as they mark her rank and relation to her clan.

By pure appearance alone, Yumi just seems like a fairly normal young girl, albeit one who seems to act a bit too girlish for an adult woman. Those who know her but don't know her well will tell you that she's kind and generally quite hospitable, always willing to lend a hand when asked and gives her best effort to do whatever you need her to do. She has a bit of a tendency to get involved in other peoples business without their consent however, often interfering whenever she hears about trouble and going to wherever that trouble is without anyone explicitly asking her to help.

Those who know her better though will tell you that Yumi is something of a gossip and sneak. Information, whether about people, politics, or just general bits of news, are all valuable to her so Yumi makes it a point to always be in the know. And this isn't limited to just Yumi; apparently she's "in the know" with a wide range of informants and contacts who she often trades information with, whether it's just gossip about her friends or words of a coming calamity. This web of connections is so vast and has their thumbs into so many pies, Yumi herself had to do some questionable things just to be part of the group, things that make people wonder if her general demeanor as a normal girl trying to be special is just an act, or a genuine attempt of a relative nobody to be part of something bigger.

Backstory:
Yumi's childhood was much like anyone else: she was the only child of a fairly happy couple, and by the age of six she started to learn how to help her family's business. Her father was a baker and brewer, buying grains from the local miller and making it into bread to sell to the townsfolk. Anything that wasn't sold was turned into beer, which would be drank by the many hard working adults later that night. Her mother was a butcher and hunter, using her skill with a blade to kill, skin, and carve up a corpse into a delicious platter to sell to both peasants and nobles alike. Her parents were well liked for their utility to the community, and they made sure to socialize and get to know their community.

All of course, because they served a powerful organization known as the Yozakura-kai. A criminal organization of which both Yumi's parents are members of. Her father was a laundered money and acted as an information broker. Her mother cleaned up corpses and would often sell the butchered meat as "wild game" sausage or fodder. For Yumi, she was introduced to the organization at the ripe age of ten, after she had already learned a good bit of basics from her parents. From there she went to a school of sorts with other children of Yozakura-Kai parents, and taught more practical skills when it comes to things such as combat, subterfuge, and history. Yumi had a knack for swordplay but like any other girl was one of the many chatterboxes and gossip mongers in class, and quickly formed a persona of a naive girl who just wanted to play with the boys. From there she used her position to learn a lot about her fellow school mates and used that information to stay ahead of the curve, and if need be, take out competition before they got too unruly.

Yumi graduated from her school at seventeen and immediately started to work for her parents, specifically taking on contracts for the Yozakura-Kai. She had already been conditioned to kill, often going on jobs to assassinate others and remove any witnesses. Just as well she could easily infiltrate an organization to steal valuable information that feeds the Yozakura-Kai's ability to maintain power. Even now Yumi is on such a job, to join a new guild focused on hunting and cooking monsters of all things. But the Yozakura-Kai know that there's an upcoming famine, and it would benefit them greatly if they could get their hands on any valuable recipes and cooking techniques to further spread their influence. And so Yumi would once more go forth into the unknown with nothing more than a smile and her sword, looking for the next big thing.

Magic:
Alchemy - Yumi incorporates magical alchemy into her brewing, making booze with magic powers that can do anything from toughen you up, give you a burst of stamina, or even heal your wounds. She can also brew offensive aids that can be used to set monsters on fire or poison your blades, though Yumi generally doesn't most those things into her beer.

Name: Lucifer

Race: Spirit

Age: Several thousand years. He's honestly not sure himself

Gender: Male

Appearance: He's fairly tall with a somewhat athletic build. He looks pretty human except for the large black wings on his back. His skin is pale, which is a stark contrast to his long black hair, which he generally always keeps loose. His eyes are a piercing gold.

Occupation: Musician. He can play just about any instrument you put in front of him and often writes music and lyrics on his own time.

Repuation: Due to past decisions to go against another greater spirit, he hasn't created the best name for himself. Additional rumors have spread about since the event which only served to fuel the dislike towards him over time, rather than letting it go. By this point, many don't know what is truth and what is only rumor.
However, anyone who actually takes the time to get to know him would say he's a very kind but sad individual. He'll often go out of his way to help people, both because he does actually care and it also help him to feel better about himself with his reputation being how it is.

Affiliation: Od, Contracted with Shuyi

Backstory: Lucifer has always been a curious soul and a scholar. He spent the majority of his younger years just soaking up all the world had to offer as far as information, especially in relation to music and magic. Music became his passion, and for a good while he was renown in Od for the music he composed and performed. He was admired and respected.

That all changed, however, the day he decided to attempt to overthrow a greater spirit who he didn't find to be particularly agreeable. It didn't go over well for him, and as other spirits debated among themselves why he would try and do such a thing, rumors about Lucifer's true nature began to form and spread. Lucifer realized after the fact that he had gotten far too cocky and what he had done was a stupid decision, and he tried to lay low until the whole thing blew over, but unfortunately for him it didn't. As rumors continued to spread, sight was lost as to what was truth or not.

With that, the admiration and respect he had before was lost, and he fell into a deep depression. On top of that, he struggles with self loathing issues and suicidal ideation, which makes his immortality especially frustrating for him. To handle these feelings, he distracts himself from them through self harm. He's learned to manage his mental health a bit better over the years and doesn't harm himself as often as he used to, but he still has his moments.

He found a flyer for the hunt while exploring outside of Od one day, where he generally likes to spend his time for as long as he can stay out of the spirit world without fading. Not long after that, he came across Shuyi and a monster that was threatening her. He took care of the monster for her, and afterwards they talked for a while, and after learning some about her and her history with cooking, he showed her the flyer he found and suggested it seemed like something she would enjoy. He wanted to join in as well, but without a contract he knew he couldn't stay outside of Od for long, so the two made a contract together so that he could assist her by letting her use his magic and protection, and she could assist him by letting him stay in this world.

Skills: Very skilled musician, singer, and composer, has a lot of knowledge of various subjects, can hold his own in a sword fight but isn't an expert at it, can somewhat cook some basic food items...usually using his magic to do so.

Magic: Fire magic

Equipment: He carries a sword, but he doesn't particularly need it since he can use magic. He mostly uses it for short range fights and just because he really likes swords.

Favorite Foods: He doesn't usually eat much, so this will be an adventure of trying new things for him. He does like fish though

Disliked Foods: Broccoli...Thinks the texture's weird. Probably most things with a really unusual texture would turn him off of it due to not being all that used to food in general.
