@ClocktowerEchosSpeaking of closest neighbors...

Though NJ will probably wait a while before trying to civilize the southern wastes :D

The only thing big walls require is a bigger gun

At least you don't have to deal with those german-speaking commies on the other side of the continent... ;D

What say @Dog? What would the MDR think of all this mutant scum?

We're the only strictly speaking human factions on the map, I'd say that makes us natural allies...

Now that is narrow-minded.

@Dark CloudHehe, that's the intention

Just talking nonsense, what happens with NJ isn't a sure thing. I'll see where the story leads when it comes to that point

I'm most excited to meet the german-speaking commies. The idea of a conflict from the old world being dredged up again between the remnants of human civilization has a lot of story potential. From a point of dramatic irony, anyways.

If for some reason contact were made early, I could imagine the two factions getting along fairly well.

But everyone's done great work. I'd say NJ is easily the most boring of the bunch, at least at the outset.

The proletariat will not be divided by such reactionary ideas of race.

@ClocktowerEchos Dw, once turn 1 hits and you get your stats and the chance to do some actions, you can take this whichever way you want. I like to keep my notes very flexible, so if you have an antagonist in mind, I'd be happy to cooperate!

Maybe the northern part of Old Jericho has a bunch of sea raiders hanging out...

"I will drink from your skull!"

"That's a nice head you have on your shoulders."

"Less talking! More raiding!"

Please tell me my references aren't in vain

Speaking of antagonists... Think something like this is possible? Could be a hurdle for NJ to acquire more sophisticated boat-related technologies— conquering some tribe of people who raid costal settlements to survive, and thus have experience in building/maintaining ships. It wouldn't be easy, of course, but I imagine it would be an interesting way for the NJ to acquire some rudimentary naval capability. Somewhere down the line at least.

The dinghies that they use to fish out of the lake aren't comparable

@Dark Cloud Don't worry, by the way - I will not wipe you out immediately, if that's what you fear. However, the ogres are supposed to be incredibly hard to play. The goal is for them to be fun to play, though, so I will do my best to make it a great experience for you. :D

*Think I'll scrap the idea of the MJN. Originally conceived of it as a standing military force, but the necessity of that at this moment is questionable. The Sheriff's Department is good enough

Hey, I love a challenge and ogres seemed like a fun choice. No problem, I just had some concern that's all. In actuality like I said before, the ruins give the Ogshog two things: Less of a chance of failure on infrastructure and selling stuff to other nations. Two things that are vital in protecting the settlement and providing a source of trade when the time comes. You see I did take that into consideration because I want to be able to survive.
