From 1981, it is the animated film, Heavy Metal, which happens to be a kick ass animated movie imo, so here is the soundtrack in full.

Most of Disturbed's stuff is really good. I guess I'd choose its Indestructible Album, though its a difficult choice.

I don't think I have a fave of Disturbed, but I do like some of their songs, especially the redo of SoundofSilence

I think Ride The Lightning betters it, but it all went gradually downhill from there :)

I think Reign In Blood has never been topped and sounds as fresh as it dis back then and of course Priest are awesome!

Couple of favourites for me - Motorhead Ace Of Spades just such a dirty, sleazy rock and roll lp that helped pave the way for thrash.

The first L.A. Guns record - sure Guns N' Roses 'Appetite for Destruction' is a classic and I've always got love for the big hitters like Crue but these guys should have been way bigger than they were. Pretty punky and sleazy.

I loved hardcore punk and I love thrash but I could never get into Crossover, but a gem I go back to year after year is Suicidal's 'How Will I Laugh Tomorrow...'. Think it bridged their change in style really well before it all went wrong a couple of records later

Cant have metal without one of the greatest Metal /Hard Rock Gods ever, Mister Ronnie James Dio, Rest in Peace. This album is one of my top 5.
I love the story he tells, and some of the greatest Fantasy songs ever.

Are we counting industrial metal? If so, The Downward Spiral is a classic.
