Esme Stirling

Esme had watched Cason as he started to reply to her comment about her actions of being half asleep. She knew where he was going with it and she sighed inwardly and tensed a bit, hoping that he wouldn’t finish his comment. When he didn’t and stood up and stretched, she relaxed and looked at Sarah as she made her way between them. She couldn’t help but give a small smile at how happy Sarah seemed to be at the two of them getting along. Esme reached down and scratched under Sarah’s chin, then moved her hand around to her cheek. She lifted her gaze when Cason offered her his arm and shook her head at his words.

“No need to be nasty.” she told him. She debated taking his arm for a moment, even after he moved it a bit, asking for her to grab it. Grabbing her two bags, she then took his arm just as Sarah nudged between them lovingly. She then took a step towards the door, signaling she was ready to go and see what the others were up to this morning and to make sure they were good. Esme had to admit to herself that she was curious to know what they were up to this morning after what they went through with yesterday's events caused by Cupid.

NATALIA WINCHESTER, MIKA CHAMBERS

Nat couldn't help but smirk when Dean called her a smartass. She practically wore that description as a badge of honour as it was being a smartass that made her survive for as long as she did. "Who says I don't already like you dearest brother?" she quipped back as she continued cooking, getting near the end and grabbing for the loaf of bread, as she took the bacon off the stove now that it was cooked.

She listened as everyone seemed to joining in in the banter going on, enjoying the more positive feeling that was in the room for a change. She even sniggered when Dean called Sam a bitch, knowing full well Sam would retort to that any second now. She put the sandwiches together one by one, and then piled them up onto a big serving plate, deciding it would be easier if everyone could just help themselves.

Mika smiled as she saw her uncle come to the door and take the coffee she had for him without her even prompting for him to take. She hugged him back as he put an arm over her shoulders, "morning" she greeted him back as she walked with him to the living room, seeing that the three siblings and Anna were still seeming to be getting along happily.

"I'm alright, the tiniest bit hungover but other than that I'm alright, I think me and Dean are still good too which I'm thankful for too." she explained to him, glancing between Bobby and the other four in the kitchen, smiling at the sight before her fondly.

SAM WINCHESTER

"Jerk" Sam retorted back, just as Natalia assumed he would, then nodded at his brother's words about him and Mika being okay. "I'm glad you're both alright, and lets face it, when does Mika ever complain about you being all beaten and bruised?" he quipped with a smirk as his brother sat on up on the counter.

He smiled as Annabeth did what she could to be close to him, letting her lean him backwards so she could lean on him and hold his hair some more. He figured it was all one tactic to keep her calm and happy so he wasn't going to stop her if it made her comfortable. At her quip to Dean saying he was the favourite Sam had to chuckle and fake being hurt for a split second before he couldn't keep the look up.

"Well I dunno why you'd be hurt I'm Nat's favourite when you're clearly Mika's favourite. Always have been always will be and I'm perfectly fine with that, she's too much of an older sister anyway" he spoke to them, "which I'm not sure if it is a good thing I practically have two sisters or a bad thing." he teased, making Natalia throw a slice of bread at him that she had in her hand.

He cracked up laughing, grabbing the bread and putting it on the worktop. It was then he noticed Bobby and Mika back in the main room. "Morning Bobby" he called through as he saw Mika walking back to the kitchen to actually get her own coffee now she had delivered Bobby's.

Cason

Cason smirked at Esme’s retort to him, but sighed happily when she took his arm. He reached across and took her bags from her, walking out to the car.

When they arrived back to the junk yard, Cason’s stomach knotted a bit, wondering if anyone would actually want him in the house after what had happened the night before. He dreaded seeing Dean’s face, or even the reactions to his presence. He hoped he wouldn’t ruin the morning when he walked in.

Turning to Esme before they got out of the car, he sighed, “Are you cool? I mean I doubt anyone’s going to hold anything against you. Me on the other hand…”

He shrugged his shoulders, before opening the passenger door and stepping out. He closed his door and walked around quickly to hers, Sarah following close behind him. Opening Esme’s door, he offered a hand to her, being extra sweet this morning.

Dean Winchester and Annabeth

Dean shrugged his shoulders in a way that said ‘you’re not wrong’, when Sam mentioned that Mika liked him covered in bruises. It was a weird hunter couple thing, with them. Give Dean a black eye and Mika was all over it, not that Dean minded at all.

As Sam feigned being hurt at Anna and Dean’s joking, Dean brought his hands up to his face pretending to cry for Sam and then gave Anna a wink as she hugged Sam’s waist. There was something about them, all cuddled up against the counter that gave Dean the warm and fuzzies. His brother rarely latched onto anyone, or really allowed anyone close to him, anymore. Not that Dean could blame him, with his track record of dead women. He laughed, at Nat’s reaction waving his hand around, “Yeah, yeah. I’m Mika’s favorite for more than one reason…and I’ve always had two sisters. One of these days? You’ll let me cut that Disney Princess hair.”

Anna laughed, ruffling her fingers roughly through Sam’s hair as she shook her head at Dean, “I disagree. I’ll chop off your hands.”

Dean raised his eyebrows, shocked at sweet little Anna protecting his gigantic brother, “Wow, Sammy. Your hair has a very tiny, very mean bodyguard. Hey…HEY BOBBY!”

As Dean finished his sentence, he turned to wave at Bobby in the living room, and caught Mika as she stepped by, “We were just talking about favorites and she walks through the room…”

Bobby Singer

Bobby sighed contently, at the sound of laughing coming from his kitchen. It was a more than welcome sight after all the fighting. He waved Mika off, “Well, go enjoy the quiet. Dean’s laughing, the little girl is laughing and talking. Might not last long.”

He spoke honestly as he sat down with his coffee, and placed it on his makeshift coaster, kicking back in his chair to watch the kids. Hearing Sam’s greeting, Bobby lifted his head from his chest and called back to him, just as Dean chimed in as well, “Morning boys!”

Esme Stirling

Esme said nothing when Cason took her bags from her. She just nodded her head in thanks as they walked to the car and she unlocked the car and opened the truck.

The drive back to Bobby’s was quiet, which was okay with her. She wasn’t in much of a talking mood as she went over things in her mind as she drove. When they pulled into the junkyard, she could feel her stomach slightly knot. Even though an apology was given yesterday after everything that happened, she was still a little worried about Mika being upset about things. Esme shut off the car and was about to get out when Cason turned to her and spoke. She turned and looked at him as he spoke, a soft sigh escaping her at his words. “Honestly, I don’t really know.” she said as he shrugged his shoulders. She watched him as he got out and hurried around to her door and opened it.

Esme pulled the key from the ignition and put it in her jacket pocket, then took his hand so he could help her out of the car. She couldn’t get over how extra sweet he was being and wondered why the sudden change. Once out, she let go of his hand and locked and shut the door, then leaned against her car, watching Cason. “There could still be some tension floating around after last night, but for the most part, we weren’t in control of ourselves, thanks to Cupid.” she said in a soft tone. “Though I still find it a little strange, Cupid could control you.” She fell silent as a sigh left her nose and she looked down at Sarah.

After a moment, she lifted her gaze back to Cason. “If anything starts to happen, I’ll try my best to neutralize the situation by trying to calm everyone. Though I can’t promise I’ll be worth anything afterward.” She gave a small smile to try and calm his nerves. Esme knew Cason had to be dreading seeing Dean’s face after what had happened last night. She hoped that everyone in the house was in a fairly good mood and that Cason appearing wouldn’t ruin anything, but if he were to disrupt the mood, she could always project her own emotions to everyone in the house as long as they were relatively close to each other.

SAM AND NATALIA WINCHESTER

Dean's quip about his hair made Sam roll his eyes, whereas it made Natalia burst out laughing. "Nat you're meant to be on my side here!" Sam protested, surprised that it made Nat laugh as much as it did. "Sorry Sammy, it was funny" Nat said back matter of factly as she picked up the serving plate of bacon sandwiches and put it on the table for everyone to help themselves. When Anna defended Sam however it made Nat genuinely smile as she got feisty and managed to quip back to Dean so flawlessly.

"Oh I like you girlie! You can definitely stay if you can give it back to Deano" she commented back, impressed by Annabeth massively. She didn't have a single worry about the girl fitting in with their group, as she was clearly showing she could fit in just fine.

Sam was also impressed by Annabeth and the fact it made Dean pause before being able to come out with a comeback, he smirked proudly. "So it seems!" he chimed back, as Mika walked into the kitchen and grabbed her much needed coffee to start the day with. He smirked once more when Dean made his remark after greeting Bobby.

MIKA CHAMBERS

As the others all bantered with each other as she walked into the kitchen area, she rose an eyebrow at Dean's comment about favourites and her walking in, deciding to not ask for her own sanity. She took her first sip of coffee after pouring herself some and sighed happily, feeling the hot beverage go down her throat.

"Seems everyone is in a good mood this morning" she commented, walking to the table and grabbing one of the sandwiches as she sat down at the table, crossing one leg over the other. "Yeah" Nat and Sam both agreed in perfect unison, making them both look at each other and snigger, before the two of grabbed a sandwich each.

Mika took a bite of the sandwich, suddenly realising just how hungry she was after having a night of drinking and fighting. Glancing out the window into the junkyard, she noticed Esme's car pull up and saw that Cason was with her like an clingy puppy but decided not to comment on their arrival as she didn't want to ruin anyone's good mood, particularly Dean's with mentioning Cason was still around.

She also found it awkward that he was around as the memory of what happened the night previous flashed through her mind once more. Mentally shaking it from her head, she took another bite from the sandwich, not even caring that it was a greasy breakfast. She didn't mind Esme being back as she was trying to help them out with their current predicament of Angels and demons, even if it did bring back what Dean finally admitted to her. She did mean her apology to the woman and wanted to keep to that.

Dean Winchester and Cason

Dean shrugged his shoulders at Mika’s comment about everyone seeming happy. He was feeling at least relieved, and he felt the need to joke around with everyone, as much as he could. He watched her grab her coffee, and continued intently watching her as she sat down at the table and dug into her food. He couldn’t help the wistful smile on his face, as he watched her face.

Hearing the back door open, his ears perked up but he kept his gaze on her, until he heard the voice coming through the kitchen, and his chest tensed a bit, drawing his chin away from his chest to stare at Cason.

Cason shrugged his shoulders at Esme, when she mentioned that Cupid was able to control him. It was something he wasn’t quite sure of, either. He knew that he wasn’t in control of much, while Mika was on top of him, but he was aware of everything that was happening. He had moved against her. He had made decisions with her. Sighing, he shook his head, not sure what to say.

As Esme offered to essentially protect him, Cason’s head perked up, his gaze softening as he scanned her eyes with a small smile, “Well. Worth anything or not, I’ll take you back to your motel. Don’t worry. I just can’t believe you care enough to try and keep them from killing me.”

He gave an awkward laugh, reaching out and taking her hand, before pulling her away from her car, and starting the trek across the parking lot. He stepped through the garage with her, passing Dean’s black Impala on their way, and with a shaky hand, he opened the kitchen door, stepping into the room silently with Esme.

Annabeth

Annabeth laughed brightly at Natalia’s praise of her as Dean struggled to find words to get back at her with. She kept her hands in Sam’s hair, pooling all of it onto the top of his head as they laughed. She watched Mika walk into the room, and honestly was happy to see her seem so calm and normal.

“She seems okay this morning…”, she leaned forward to whisper in Sam’s ear with a smirk, before Cason stepped through the back door and her head snapped toward him, dropping Sams hair and bringing her hands down instead to nervously play with his earlobes, “And in walks trouble. Watch Dean.”

Esme Stirling

Esme watched Cason as he took in her words and shrug his shoulders at her mention of Cupid, seeing he wasn’t sure how Cupid could control him either. She continued to look at him as he sighed and shook his head, not knowing what to say. She wasn’t really expecting an answer from him on it, knowing he probably didn’t know how to answer or even know what to say. At her mention to help keep things calm and essentially protect him, she saw his head perk up and his gaze soften as he scanned her eyes. As he spoke, her smile grew a little. “Of course I care.” she started in a warm tone to his awkward laughed.

Esme let him take her hand and pull her away from her car and across the parking lot. “There may be some tension between everyone, but you have been a help to all of us. Not to mention, you know more about angels than all of us. I hope they can see past what happened last night, since none of us had much control over what we did, and see what a help you can be with the angel situation.” she told him as they stepped through the garage. As they passed Dean’s Impala, she reached out and let her fingertips gently brush against it as they walked by. Esme still loved Dean’s car, almost as much as she loved her own.

Both cars had a special place in her heart that held both good and sad memories. She pulled her eyes away from the Impala as they reached the door, glimpsing Cason’s shaky hand as he opened it. As they entered, she could feel the happiness that filled the kitchen, but could also feel Dean’s sudden tension and Annabeth’s nervousness when Cason entered the kitchen ahead of her. Once she was in, she closed the door behind her and stepped around Cason, a small smile on her lips to everyone. “Good morning everyone.” she greeted warmly. “I hope you all slept well.”

With little thought, she began to softly project calm and happiness into the room. It was just enough to fill the room, but not tire her out or drain her too quickly. She didn’t want to see anything go wrong or get off to a poor start this early in the morning. She let her eyes travel to everyone in the kitchen, scanning them to see what they were feeling and possibly thinking. Her gaze stopped on Annabeth as ,she watched her nervously play with Sam’s earlobes. Other than being nervous of Cason being there, she seemed like she was doing a lot better. Even Mika seemed to be doing alright, which made her relax from her nervousness from when they arrived.

After a moment, she dropped her gaze to the table to see the plate of sandwiches, then lifted her gaze again, looking around the kitchen at everyone again. Esme hoped that her projecting would keep everyone in a good mood for the most part.

MIKA CHAMBERS, SAM AND NATALIA WINCHESTER

Mika was well aware of Dean watching her which just made her look at him back and smile back at him. She also knew if she didn't turn back to others soon, she would soon forget they were even in the room. So it was almost a blessing in disguise when Cason and Esme walked through the kitchen door, even if she didn't want to admit it.

She looked around the room but mostly between Esme, Cason and Dean to make sure that Dean stayed well behaved. After a few glances at the three of them, she looked down and decided to just focus on eating her breakfast. She was also aware that Annabeth had been whispering to Sam, even before Cason entered the room with Esme. Mika looked at Esme when she greeted everyone, she wasn't sure if she should reply to the woman or not, especially after the night before, even if she did apologise. She still felt that pang of awkwardness around the woman as she tried to come to terms with all of the night's relevations.

Natalia smiled at Esme but not Cason and nodded, "I think we all did yeah, I slept as well as one can on that couch anyway" she smirked, seeing Esme look at all the bacon sandwiches, "help yourself, I made plenty knowing Dean has a bottomless pit of a stomach" she said to her, never passing up for a dig at her brother.

Sam listened to the whispered words from Annabeth and gave a discreet nod, being careful not to headbutt Anna in the process. "Yeah she does, let's hope it remains" he whispered back, just as Cason and Esme entered and Annabeth whispered to him again to keep an eye on Dean. "Way ahead of you" he whispered, before leaning forward with a single step and grabbing two sandwiches, giving one to Annabeth and keeping one for himself.

Natalia then grabbed one for herself after Sam did, taking a bite out of it when her phone started ringing making her sigh in aggitation, placing it down on the worktop as she pulled out her phone from her pocket and answering it. "hey, what's up?" she asked, staring at the floor as she listened. "the what of the what now?" "if I knew what the bloody hell you are on about, I wouldn't asking now would I?" "You're bloody useless sometimes you know that? Fine...fine, I'll let Bobby and co know and look into it" "yeah yeah...pretty sure you owe me a lot more than I owe you..bye" she sighed, pinching her nose as she hung up the phone.

"What was that all about?" Sam asked her, "was another hunter contact of mine. Seems they just had to deal with something called the raising of the witnesses and some other screwed up monster murder spree that a a group of demons were found at." she explained to the group.

"Raising of the witnesses?" Mika asked, getting up wondering why that felt so familiar to her as she went straight to the pile of books, grabbing one and flicking through it until she found what she was looking for. "They're breaking seals" she stated, looking up at them all.

Dean Winchester and Annabeth

Dean stared at Cason for a few moments as he stepped through the kitchen and perched himself against an empty counter, far away from most people. He didn’t want to start a fight this morning, but it did make him a bit angry that Cason looked so clean and uninjured, while Dean felt like a train had hit him in the face. Demon healing powers…ugh.

Dean’s eyes then scanned over Esme, his gaze softening as he stared at her, hoping to catch her gaze as she stood in the kitchen. He could feel the familiar wave of calm that she tended to project onto him before or after a hunt, and he sighed wistfully, dropping his shoulders.

Annabeth watched Sam, trying not to make eye contact with Cason as she sat behind Sam. When Sam confirmed that he was already watching Dean, Anna sighed, letting go of his earlobes and letting her hands fall from his shoulders as he stepped up grabbed some food for both of them. She took the sandwich from his hands and smirked, “Thank you sir.”

Reaching a hand out as she took the sandwich in one hand, she placed her hand against his hip, finding it hard to lose contact while they were in a room full of people, especially Cason. Apparently, she was still in the last few stages of detox, because he smelled amazing, like food. She shoved her finger behind Sam’s belt, forcing herself to hold onto him.

But her head perked up, at the same time as Dean’s when Nat answered her phone and began talking to someone in a confused but intrigued tone. When Sam spoke up, asking what the phone call was about, Anna’s eyes followed his to Nat and she raised her eyebrows, just as Mika chimed in, “What’s the rising of the witnesses?”

Dean watched Mika leave the room to go and find the book he knew she already had in her sights when she stood. He slid off the counter to step over near her, wrapping his body around her back as he leaned over the book above her, “Breaking seals? Bobby? What does that mean?”

“I was hoping I was wrong.”, Bobby chimed from the living room with a huff. He stood from his chair, and walked over toward them, throwing a large book onto the center of the table near the food, and opened it, “If what I’m reading is right, the seals are keys to a door. And I don’t think we want to see what’s behind that door. We might want to call your angel friend.”

“He’s not my friend.”, Dean snapped, glaring up at Bobby.

“Alright. Then your angel aquaintance. Call him what you want, but if anyone’s going to know about the damn biblical apocalypse, it’ll be an angel.”, Bobby snapped back at Dean, picking his book up from the table and walking off with a grumble.

Anna carefully pulled Sam closer to her and swallowed her bite of food, “We’re gonna bring angels here?”

“An angel. He seems like a good guy. Wears a trenchcoat. Tiny little thing.”, Dean answered, before lowering his head toward the table with his eyes closed, “Castiel. You said you would be around. Well, we got questions that we think you have answers to. So…if this prayer works or whatever, I don’t know how to do this…please come help?”

Castiel

All of a sudden Castiel appeared somwhat uncomfortably close to the elder Winchester brother. It was if the trench coat wearing angel had no idea of the concept of personal space having teleported into Bobby's residence in-front of Dean with only a few inches of space in between the two.

"You don't know how prayer works? You seem to have no problem performing it correctly to summon me here. But prayer is a good sign, it is an indication of one's devout nature. Something a skeptical heretic like you so desperately needs, so I'm glad your picking up the behavior." Castiel spoke matter of factly to Dean happy that he was praying at all as it was a sign that the heaven & the angels hadn't made an error in lifting Dean out of the furnace.

"As for your friend Bobby, he is correct in that what's happening indeed is the breaking of the seals. When I first met you I told you that we broke you out of hell because God himself has work for you. This is the work I was referring to. There's over 600 seals, but the demons need only break 66 of them to open the door enclosed behind them." Castiel paused for a moment as if for dramatic effect, but really to let the words he was speaking sink in to Dean & the other hunters present. "We cannot allow that to happen, if the seals are broken, then Lucifer will be free once more & he will raise hell on earth literally. Why do you think that we angels are once again walking the earth again for the first time in 2000 years?" The heavenly trench-coat warrior said directing his speech to Dean without even turning to look at the others or pay them much attention.

Esme Stirling

Esme avoided direct eye contact with everyone in the kitchen. She either looked between two of them or looked at their foreheads. After everything that had happened since meeting up with them, she felt like the oddball of the group and still wasn’t sure if she really fit in with them. Yes, she was a hunter, but she wasn’t normal either. Trouble seemed to follow her wherever she went, whether or not she went looking for it. If it hadn’t been for Dean pleading with her for her to stay, she would have left and gone through things on her own once again, but not before doing things properly this time. She couldn’t leave like she had done last time, not again. Esme couldn’t allow herself to do that again. She was better than that. She hoped that the awkwardness between her and Mika would calm and not hinder them working together.

Esme stopped projecting her emotions when she felt Dean calm, and his shoulders dropped. She could feel him staring at her, but she didn’t dare look in his direction at that moment. She still wasn’t too happy about him telling Cason to kiss her, to pull her out of her deep sleep that morning. Her gaze had dropped back to the table, feeling that everyone was relatively calm at the moment. Though when Natalia spoke, she lifted her gaze in her direction, but didn’t look directly at her, giving a smile and a laugh at her words, followed by a nod in agreement. “Thank you, and yes he does.” she said with a laugh in her tone. Esme then reached over the table and grabbed a sandwich for herself and took a bite after Sam and Natalia had their own. When Natalia’s phone rang and she answered it, Esme looked in her direction again, listening as she spoke.

The one side of the conversation she heard caused her to raise an eyebrow, wondering what exactly the conversation was about. She continued to eat her sandwich as she waited for the phone call to end, then Natalia explain what the call was about after Sam had asked. “Raising of the witnesses?” she whispered softly as Mika left to get a book. Esme watched Mika as she grabbed the book and flipped through it as Dean followed, then spoke. She didn’t like the sound of this. Esme’s attention soon went to Bobby at Dean’s question to him. She could feel herself growing tense as Bobby brought the book to the kitchen and spoke about what the breaking of the seals meant as threw the book on the table. Esme looked over at the book that lay not far from her, taking in what she could before Dean snapping at Bobby pulled her attention from it.

She didn’t blame him for getting snappy about Bobby calling the angel his friend, when it was clear they weren’t. She closed her eyes briefly at Annabeth’s words and Dean’s response before he prayed to the angel to come and help them. The last thing she wanted to deal with right now was an angel, but she knew they needed answers about what was going on with the seals being broken. Esme listened to Dean’s prayer and took in the angel's name, making sure she didn’t forget it. Castiel. she thought to herself. As soon as Castiel appeared in the room and spoke to Dean, she could feel herself tense more as she took in his words and how he seemed to have no concept of personal space. Esme could hardly believe what she was hearing. If these seals were broken, Lucifer would roam the earth and bring hell with him. She had to agree with Castiel that couldn’t happen.

They would all have to work together and do what they could to keep that from happening. Yes, she knew it wouldn’t be easy, but they had to at least try to keep it from happening. If they had an angel on their side, maybe that would give them a better chance of stopping it from happening. Lucifer couldn’t be allowed to roam the earth. Though she wondered how they would keep the seals from being broken and which ones were being broken.

Dean Winchester and Cason

Dean gasped lightly as the flutter of Castiel’s wings blew around the room, and he felt a presence dangerously close to his face. He clenched his jaw, and turned his face toward Castiel, almost brushing noses with him, “Cas. We really need to work on personal space, with you.”

The second Castiel popped into the room, Cason stepped instinctively closer to Esme, quickly grabbing her hand. None of the information about Lucifer was exactly news to him, as he had learned most of the information he had about angels from the defective angels that were trying to break the seals, in tandem with Demons.

Dean stepped back and listened to Castiel’s matter of fact speech, and raised his eyebrows, nodding incredulously. He waved his hands in front of him, urging Cas to go on. As he explained the seals, Dean turned his eyes from Castiel to the rest of the room, his mouth hanging open to say something, but then pressing closed.

Bobby simply stood nearby and narrowed his eyes as Castiel paused, and then kept speaking without allowing Dean to say anything. As he finished with a question, Dean turned his gaze back to Castiel’s face, and he brought both hands out in front of him, palms up, “Well thanks for the information! How do we save them? Do the angels have some sort of weird biblical map to these things?”

Across the room, Annabeth tightened her grip on Sam, practically hiding behind his large frame as she watched Dean interact with another angel. She just hoped this time, the angel wouldn’t notice her, or her similarity to Sam.

Castiel

Castiel could only raise an eyebrow at Dean's first comment not being familiar with modern day human lingo or concepts such as the one he mentioned. "I'm sorry Dean but I believe we need to prioritize stopping Lucifer, we don't have any extra time to work on dealing with this "personal space". I don't have ample time on my hands to assist you with other minor threats that you as a hunter should be capable of handling on your own."

As usual, the divine soldier was oblivious to the fact that Dean wasn't referring to some sort of monster or supernatural mishap but a simple courtesy of putting adequate distance between himself & others. "As for the seals there is no divinely ordained map designed to specifically direct you or us towards the seals, however many of them have been written in numerous texts spiritual & otherwise, such as the book on that table that refers to the rising of the witness's. From what I here another group of hunters led by a descendent of the judges named Josiah attempted to prevent it, and while he was able to quell the irate spirits who perished by unnatural means the demons still managed to shatter the seal."

"Me & the other angels are engaged in a war of cosmic proportions the likes of which the earth hasn't seen since Lucifer's first rebellion when he initially fell. The demons are being led by an enemy you are already familiar with, Lilith the original demon. During the earliest days of humanity in order to spite our heavenly father, the devil took & twisted a female human soul beyond recognition, the result of which being the birth of Lilith. "

It was at this time that the angel turned his head to recognize Cason, another demon in the room as well as noticing Annabeth's demonic presence as well. A scowl came across his face at the sight of the beings he most despised as a soldier of Heaven. "Tell me Dean why is it that you are keeping demons & those tainted by their horrid evil as company? Surely as someone given a second chance by God himself you know better then to associate with abominations such as those? Or perhaps they managed to disguise themselves in a manner that even with your years of hunting experience you were left unaware of their presence? If that is the case it is a simple matter for me to purge their existence from this house-hold." The angel spoke and raised his hand accumulating bright divine energy in his right hand as he effortlessly began charging a blast of white light to smite both Cason & Annabeth. "Shut your eyes & step away from the demons, I can smite them both with a wave of my hand if you'd like." He spoke in an authoritative tone believing that both Cason & Annabeth where evil entities whom infiltrated Dean's group without their knowledge, getting ready to obliterate both of them unless Dean said otherwise.

MIKA CHAMBERS

Dean's brief look at Cason and not being pleased he was back in the house didn't go amiss on Mika, but neither did the softening gaze toward Esme. The only difference this time was that Mika didn't react badly to the gaze, sure it did still give her a pang of sadness seeing him look at another woman in such a way but she did also feel slightly better over it after her heart to heart with Dean the night before.

Reading the book she got, she became hyper aware of Dean leaning over her shoulder, something she was all to used to experiencing from him. Out of pure habit, she placed her hand on his as he leaned over her before he asked Bobby what the whole breaking of seals meant,, or even what they were. She read the book he brought out and practically dropped onto her hands, as Bobby gave his own reply which caused Dean to almost snap in offence that an Angel got called his friend.

She frowned a bit when Bobby snapped back at Dean and grumbled as he walked off with his book again. She hated it when the two of them snapped at each other, even though she knew they both cared about each other greatly, it still panged at her when she saw them bicker. There was also times when she did think that Dean could have spoken to Bobby better than he did at times, but she wasn't going to get into that whole fiasco with him.

She let him do his prayer to this Castiel, the Angel that knocked her out and caused her to hit her head on the worktop in the garage. not expecting it tp honestly work considering what it took to summon him the last time, so when it did work and Castiel stood right in front of Dean uncomfortably close, she rose an eyebrow. Before they could even open their mouths, Castiel went on this tirade of information about the breaking of seals and what it meant. She looked around the room to see all the other reactions to the news and it seemed they all echoed the same reactions.

Hearing that there was no aid for them to find where the seals were so they knew how to stop them made Mika sigh in frustration, rubbing her forehead as she did so. "typical" she muttered under her breath, feeling that she could do so as it seemed Castiel was far more focused on only Dean than anyone else in the room. Yet then he suddenly laid eyes on Cason and Annabeth, she perked up and thought 'of shit, here we go'. She almost forgot that they had a demon and an angel in the same room for a moment, then Castiel's reaction to Cason and Annabeth reminded her sharply of that very fact.

When he geared up to smite the two of them, she saw Nat and Sam instantly get into front of Annabeth, protecting her with their own bodies as neither were prepared for anything to happen to the girl and she fully agreed with the decision. Cason could look after himself, and after what happened bewtween them she wasn't so sure that it would particularly be a bad thing if he got smited, even if he was using Esme as protection.

NATALIA AND SAM WINCHESTER

Natalia and Sam had listened to the whole conversation going back and forth and even before then Sam smiled as Annabeth took her breakfast from him gladly and thanked him. It felt like such a normal morning, talking hunting problems whilst eating and drinking copious amounts of coffee. He almost had to wonder when it would all go to crap as it seemed that after last night, it was almost too good for them all.

Low and behold his curiosities were proven right as they heard about seals being broken for a door they really didn't want to know what was behind it, but with Dean's prayer and the arrival of Castiel Sam couldn't help but look slightly wide eyed as Castiel was nothing like he was envisioning in his head. For some reason, the idea of using human vessels like demons did wasn't something that came to his mind. He also found it incredibly curious why Castiel had no sense of personal space, but he also found it ironic as as much as Dean liked eprsonal space, he very rarely kept to it when he was around Mika.

As the conversation was had between his brother and the Angel, he watched on and looked around the room trying to judge if anyone else was thinking along the same lines as himself at the news that Lucifer was behind said main door the seals were keeping in and the idea of Lucifer himself roaming Earth was not something he was liking in the slightest. He couldn't help but wonder when their lives turned from basic hunts of fighting monsters to now having to fight demons and angels to keep seals closed and Lucifer in Hell.

Both he and Natalia tried to remain pretty silent throughout the whole conversation, even when Castiel mentioned jOsiah which piqued nat's interest greatly, as it was Josiah that was on the phone to her only moments ago, but when Castiel layed eyes on Annabeth and Cason, that's when things were going too far and off topic in their minds. Both of them shielded Annabeth as Cason cowered behind Esme, neither prepared to let Annabeth get hurt again. "You're not doing a thing to them, especially Anna" Natalia said firmly but calmly.

"Annabeth is of no threat to you" Sam stated, not caring that the Angel knows of how she's different, she was just Annabeth to him. An innocent woman who got dealt a rough life and destiny that she didn't want.

Dean Winchester and Annabeth

As soon as the angel turned to him, Cason disappeared with a ‘pop’, leaving Esme standing alone in the kitchen. He wasn’t going to risk his ass with an angel, not this early in the war. Annabeth was on her own, and had a Winchester shield. The angels had orders, from what he gathered, not to hurt either of them, yet.

He landed on the gravel in the junkyard, and walked around to the garage, leaning against Dean’s Impala, while lighting a cigarette as he rode out the angel storm.

Dean quickly reached out for Castiel’s harm, pulling down roughly, as he stepped close to Cas’ back, “Don’t…purge anyone. Assume that if they’re in this house…they’re family, alright?! You too. They won’t hurt you, and you don’t hurt them. Look at me. What do you need me to do, right this second, that doesn’t involve SMITING ANYONE?!”

Dean’s voice raised and he leaned in close to Castiel’s face, keeping his hand wrapped around the angel’s wrist. Realizing he was still holding on to him, he shoved his arm away and sighed, clenching his jaw at his own disrespect, “Please. No smiting.”

Annabeth allowed Sam to push her further behind him, her hands gripping his shirt as she buried her face in his back, her hands heating up a bit against him in her fear. She squeezed her glowing eyes tightly shut as she waited for Castiel to take them again, but when he didn’t right away, she furrowed her brow, glancing under Sam’s raised arm slightly to see Natalia shielding her, and Cason was gone.

“I’m just like Sam…”, she muttered quietly from behind Sam’s back, “I don’t want to hurt anyone. In fact, if the angels are good, I want to help, too!”

Dean closed his eyes and ran a hand down his face, before pointing a hand toward Anna and opening his eyes at Cas, “See? Just like Sam. You haven’t blasted Sam into the next life, so why her?”

Castiel

With angelic power surging through his palm he was just about ready to remove Annabeth & Cason not only from Bobby's living room, but the world of the living all together. Apparently the two beings he was about to kill were not in disguise nor lingering around bidding time to kill Bobby & the Winchesters off guard.

Cason vanished leaving the house entirely which was fine with the angel anyway as he hated being around demons for a multitude of reasons including being able to see their true disgusting faces within their vessels. He only scowled when Nat & Sam spoke in defense of Sam. It wasn't until Dean himself grabbed his arm that he "powered" down for lack of a better word & the white light he'd gathered to obliterate them completely dissipated almost quicker then it was gathered. He'd intentionally drew his power slowly in order to give Dean & his friends time to shut their eyes.

After all the Winchesters had a destiny, and he was under strict orders not to harm any that bore that name. "Forgive my confusion, from what I understood of human relations family is meant to describe groups related to the same bloodline." Once again the angel's lack of understanding prevented him from understanding that Dean's description wasn't literal but an expression of how close he felt to Bobby, Mika, Esme & AB even though they came from different lineage's genetically.

"For the record I don't believe anyone here wields the power required to harm a soldier of God, however as you request there will be no smiting of anyone in this household. But be warned this girl has an even deeper connection to Lilith then Sam, considering she is the very demon leading the others in their escapades to break the seals I advise you to remain vigilant. As for your brother, there isn't an angel loyal to Heaven that would dare lay a finger on him or any others in your "family"."

Castiel then turned his gaze fully to Annabeth for the first time since his arrival at Bobby's. "As for your desire to "help", a good place to start would be entirely abstaining from demon blood. That is of course if you truly desire to differentiate yourself from the enemy we're suppose to stop." That was the beginning & end of his lecture to her, at the end of the day he was a warrior sent to aid them in war not a parent coddling their wounds.

"As for what's required of you, I happen to have a mission for you. As stated earlier we do not have any sort of divine map towards the seals, but our intelligence is quite literally the best in the universe." Castiel stated before taking out a sticky note with the name & location of a town written on it. He handed the note to Dean before resuming speaking. "That's an assignment for you straight from our Father, failure will result in the breaking of another seal, I expect you'll be able to handle this matter? Hopefully so as me and my brothers have other battles to fight in order to stop additional seals from being shattered."

Dean Winchester, Annabeth, and Bobby Singer

Dean couldn’t help but roll his eyes, and wipe a frustrated hand down his face as Castiel rambled detailed responses to the references the group made. Working with angels was going to be a blast, especially this one. Castiel was the driest person Dean had ever met, and didn’t understand a lick of humor, something that Dean normally would actively avoid.

“You’ll find out, the longer you stay with us…family is a bit different, around here. We take in people who need help. We keep them around. We take care of them. That’s family.”, Dean explained, genuinely trying to explain to Castiel that he didn’t mean ‘blood family’. He had to admit that the little trench coat wrapped child with wings was amusing.

However, Dean raised his eyebrows at Cas’ words about Annabeth. Dean had already heard a bit of the information from Cason, back when he first met Anna, but considering he had known of Anna for years, and she and Sam had come back together like opposite sides of a magnet, snapping back into place as if they had never left each other, Dean couldn’t help but wonder if part of it was manipulation. The thought caused his stomach to twist into a knot as Cas continued, speaking of the demon blood, which Dean had NOT been told about.

Anna barely looked at Castiel, before sinking back behind Sam, not able to meet Dean’s eyes. He had just started coming around to the idea of her staying around, and now this…The odds of Dean not throwing an absolute fit to get her out were low.

“Demon blood? Sam, did you know about this?”, Dean snapped, his eyes suddenly burning into his brother’s face as he stared at him, and then glanced down to Anna. He didn’t have much time to discuss it with Sam, before Castiel continued, and Dean simply gave Sam a ‘we’ll talk about this later’ glare.

Dean’s attention dropped from his brother’s face to Castiel’s hand as he pulled a note and handed it to him. Staring at the information on the note, Dean raised his eyebrows, “So, we just go here…find whatever freaky thing is going on and stop it, and no seal pops? That sounds easy enough. Right guys?”

He looked around to everyone in the room, knowing that they would be just as overwhelmed as himself, but he needed backup. He needed to know he wasn’t alone, and reassurance that they were at least coming with him.

Bobby stood finally, having been quiet while Dean dealt with the angel. Dean was the only one that Castiel was technically supposed to protect, from what Bobby gathered from his body language and even his use of his powers around Dean. The last thing he wanted to do was get in between an angel and a demon that he wasn’t quite sure they should even be working with.

He walked over to the table, and snatched the sticky note from Dean’s hands, his eyes trailing up to Castiel, “What’s the seal? A little more information might help us get to it faster…”

Bobby stepped over to the fridge and pulled out a beer for Dean, one for Castiel if he wanted it, and one for himself, before signaling to Nat, “Sweetheart, there’s more in the garage if any of you want one. This is gonna be a hell of a day.”

Dean eagerly took the beer from Bobby’s hand, and took Castiel’s too, opening it and handing it to the angel. For Dean, offering Castiel a beer was a sign that he didn’t mind his company, as long as he was chill., “Drink up…”

Castiel

Castiel accepted the opened beverage and eyed it with suspicion. He analyzed it for any signs of enochian or any other anti angel spells before taking a sip of the beverage. Like the rest of his species he didn't require food or drink even though he had a vessel. His grace connected to Heaven maintained the body he had control of, unlike demons they tended to keep their vessels in tact the only exception being that if a particularly powerful angel just wearing a meat-suit left it mentally & physically ruined.

"Thank you, that is the proper response for accepting a beverage from someone correct?" Castiel asked once again being prim & proper as always. As no curse had taken effect from the sip he quickly downed the contents of the entire beer & set the now empty container down on the table. "You people consume these for fun, the taste I experienced wasn't much of a pleasant one, but without a connection to Heaven's energy I suppose you all require food & drink to survive." Castiel summarized not realizing that alcohol served other purposes besides being a refreshment while also oblivious that he didn't have to chug the entire beer at once like he did.

"Bobby is it? Unfortunately that's all the information me and my superiors have right now. There is a powerful magical force at work in that town, one with the ability to elude even us angels. With that being the case we figured this was an assignment to pass along to the humans, and to answer your question Dean if the threat is neutralized we do believe that will prevent the seal from breaking which is of course the primary objective with this mission. I have to return to the rest of the garrison soon, but I'll rendezvous with you in the town shortly after your arrival to get an update of your handling of this case. Failure to save this seal will not only get the demons closer to their goal but also trigger the return of Samhain, lord of the dead. A white eyed demon with immense power one of the few of his kind with power equivalent to that of the angels, who has the unique power to effortlessly raise massive armies of zombies, ghosts & all manner of undead supernatural entities."

Josiah

Josiah wasn't particularly happy with everything going on, he was no closer to finding his mother. Every passing second he was filled with worry about what those demons who took her might be doing to her. He wanted nothing more then to gank every single one of those sons of bitches who took the woman who was most precious to him.

That's how he got wrapped up in this whole business of preventing the Apocalypse. As a descendent of the judges, his powers had been awakened a few months ago with angels once again walking the earth. To that end an angel had been assigned to mentor him & bring him onto Heaven's side as they wanted his gifts on their side. The angel who'd been sent to be his communication with Heaven was none other the Uriel.

"You think you can handle this situation without having to pray to me every five minutes or would you like me to hold your hand thet whole way through" The rude soldier spoke with unhidden disdain in his voice towards Josiah, he had no particular love for humans. It took everything in his power to refrain from calling them mud monkeys around them as he often did when he was only around other angels. The dislike however was mutual & Josiah had no particular love for this angel, but couldn't help but feel bad for the poor bastard he was using as a meat-suit. Every insult & taunt he received from him made him inch closer and closer to using his divine breaker on him.

"I think I'll be fine by myself Uriel, I don't need you or my sister to handle a couple witches. Hell I don't even need my right hand." Josiah replied back with pride.

"Oh is that so, I'd be happy to take it from you, it won't be an easy task, but your disrespectful behavior should provide the creativity needed to get the job done." Uriel said smirking for the first time since the start of the conversation they were having this afternoon.

Josiah instinctively turned his body so his right arm wasn't facing the angel indicating that although he was fed up with his talking down to him he didn't want to risk truly irritating a soldier of Heaven. Despite his well of pride he knew when and with whom to pick his battles with. "That won't be neccessary, look all I'm saying is I got this. So how about you tell me where I need to drop you off so you can get beamed up by Scotty." Josiah asked as he picked up his car keys and walked over to the front door of the crappy motel he was staying at. Instead of getting a vocal answer he got the sound of wings fluttering and saw the angel was gone.

"Huh well that works too, guess it's time to get me some witches huh, then off to this town." The hunter had also received a note like the one Castiel had given to Dean about the town where Samhain was to be revived. The witches he was refering to was a coven in one town over working together with the ones in the town. He'd gotten tired on his way over to his actual destination something he attributed to having five servings at a buffet spot he passed on the way over here. He couldn't resist once the smell of home made southern food hit his nostrils, not to mention the sight of the fresh peach cobbler through the windows at the front.

Regardless of how he'd fallen victim to the itis, it had happened. Perhaps it all worked out for the best, he was only a town away from where the endangered seal was. He thought back to his earlier conversation he'd had with Nat before Uriel had popped in to remind him of his true destination. He hated taking orders from others, and that included the angels, but once they promised to help him save his mother he was basically their bitch. Mainly because he had no idea where to even start looking, nor did he knew how powerful the demons were that took her.

He'd gotten extra cocky & confident with hunting thanks to his newfound powers, but he thought back to his initial days with his powers working a few cases with Nat. He remembered the words of wisdom she'd imparted with him crystal clear, even with his gifts he was far from being Superman or an angel. "Alright whatever time to get to work." He muttered as he made his way to his car and started it up.

Despite Uriel's insults he hadn't spent his time in this town doing nothing. He'd actually uncovered some information about the coven in question which consisted of four witches, and gotten two residential locations. In-fact he was only missing one more, as two of the witches were in a committed live in relationship. Growing up his father had always been someone who liked getting a good bargain and he'd inherited that aspect of his personality himself. In this case the deal had nothing to do with the grocery store or lawn care products but supernatural baddies. "I'm sure it'll be easier getting some answers with a couple, I can torture one interrogate the other, just in case there tough to crack, I can use whatever love they have for each other as leverage but that's if they even have any, you never know when it comes to monsters."

Josiah figured he wouldn' make any progress just sitting around in the parking lot and configured the destination on his GPS. Moments later he had reversed out of his spot and started heading to the house.

SAM WINCHESTER

With Castiel talking to them all, even if it was mostly at Dean about everything, learning about what family meant here on Earth and to the Winchesters, he couldn't help but find it curious and amusing that this Angel really had no idea about human emotions and mindsets. That this Angel was completely void of humour, and human interaction told him that they really didn't come to Earth as much as believers liked to think they did.

It was however the mention of the demon blood when speaking about Annabeth that he knew would not go down well with Dean which made him look at his brother seeing the stern look he was being given. He didn't even get to reply to Dean due to Castiel continuing to speak about matters but boy did he recognise the 'we're talking about this later' look he was being given. He knew there was no way on Earth he was going to avoid that conversation. He also knew that conversation was more than likely going to turn into a bit of an arguement which he really didn't want to happen when everyone was beginning to be on good terms with each other again.

He was actually thankful for Castiel shoving a piece of paper into Dean's hand as he felt aNna still almost cowering behind him, making him reach one hand back behind him and place it on Anna's knee to give it a comforting squeeze. "I'll deal with Dean, don't worry" he whispered to her, not wanting to interrupt the important conversation being had, whilst also keeping one ear focused on that conversation.

At Dean's group ask for clarification and back up that they could easily deal with this seal, he nodded. "Yeah we can deal with it" he agreed, seeing Natalia and Mika also nod their agreement.

MIKA CHAMBERS AND NATALIA WINCHESTER

Mika was about to take a look at the note with the address on it when Bobby beat her to it, deciding that focusing on the subject of not letting another seal break was much better than dealing with the clear tension that was building between Dean, Sam and Annabeth and the whole demon blood conversation that needed to be had. THough she had to admit, she was curious as to why Castiel just had to bring up how Anna was a lot closer to Lilith than Sam was.

She watched as Bobby then grabbed beer for himself, Dean and Cas noting how they were the last ones in said fridge and he signalled to Nat to get more from the garage, to which Natalia nodded, pushing herself off the worktop she was leaning against after Dean left his spot on said worktop. She looked at Esme, "fancy giving me a hand bringing in more beer?" she asked, but her tone said 'just come with and let this lot deal with the angel', deciding that the two of them could use an exit and this seemed to be the perfect one that was opened up by Bobby.

She headed outside, waiting for Esme to catch up then walked to the garage where the spare beer was stashed, seeing Cason standing in there smoking. She gave him a simple single nod of acknowledgement before turning to Esme, "So you really think we can stop this seal from breaking?" she asked her curiously. Not only that, but Nat also found herself wondering if Josiah was on this same case and if he knew about this new seal or case. She figured he would know as he called her about the rising of the witnesses but even so, she hoped he was alright wherever he was.

Natalia also hoped he always kept in mind the words of advice she once gave him. TO keep his head straight and not get cocky on a hunt. The more grounded he was mentally and used his brain instead of solely relying on his powers, the better he was on a job. She knew she'd probably have to recheck in with him after Castiel went, just to make sure he was still alive.

Mika watched on as Castiel took the beer from Dean and seemed to make a comment about human response to accepting drinks and then continued to down the whoe bottle in one hit, which made raise an eyebrow seeing how it didn't even effect him after. She got even more intrigued when Castiel said if they fail keeping the seal closed, it would mean the rising of Samhain himself and that she did not like one single bit.

"Great...just..great" she muttered sarcastically, as if they didn't already enough pressure on them, now she felt like Castiel had just put extra pressure onto their group. "Okay, so stop Samhain from rising, keep the seal closed and consider it job well done. Shouldn't be too hard...I hope" she commented.

Dean Winchester and Bobby Singer

Dean smirked but rolled his eyes at Castiel’s response to being handed a beer, “Yeah. And you’re welcome.”, he responded watching as the angel drank the entire beer at once. He raised his eyebrows and shot a glance at Bobby, who shrugged his shoulders, his eyebrows also raised.

Dean simply nodded and picked up the empty beer bottle while scoffing, “yeah. We require lots of food, and drink to survive. I’m assuming you don’t.”

Bobby turned his eyes back to Castiel as his name was uttered, and watched his face, “Well doesn’t that just sound like a fun time at the beach? I guess I’ll start doing some research on this guy, and you guys can start with the grunt work. You’ll probably need your suits.”

Dean nodded, turning toward Mika as she chimed in, “We’ll be fine. This should be simple, if we’re just stopping something. It hasn’t happened yet. So, we’re not fighting a big bad. Easy in and out, right?”

Bobby cleared his throat and glared at Dean momentarily, before stepping away from the group to go back to his desk, “Pack up and get ready to head out. I’ll grab a fresh card for gas money.”

Annabeth and Cason

Anna was honestly terrified that Dean was going to want to kill her after he found out what she could do on demon blood, or even worse, that she turned into essentially a demon predator. She glanced down at Sam’s hand on her knee. She smiled weakly, knowing that if Dean wanted to get to her, he definitely could, whether Sam liked it or not. It was one of the reasons she had mostly kept her distance from him, until this morning.

“Well. Good luck with that.”, she muttered against his ear, leaning up closer to his back, “And whatever this is that we’re about to do sounds like it might be a demon thing if it has to do with Lilith, or Alastair. You don’t think…our powers…”

She whispered the words with her eyebrows raised, a little more than nervous about the hunt in general, or what she was capable of if she was stressed enough. They hadn’t had the chance to find out.

As Cason watched Natalia and Esme leave the house, he straightened a bit, narrowing his eyes at them, but nodding at Nat as she passed.

“Wait. We’re talking about stopping seals from breaking? That’s like trying to find a needle in a haystack, in the middle of a hurricane. No one actually knows where they are…”, Cason spoke up, but quickly tilted his head to the side and pointed, “Unless the angel told you where they are…”
