@Dark Cloud Then your character cannot be revived by clone.

Death is a real possibility and danger. But I wouldn't be averse to players creating story arcs to bring back beloved characters. E.g finding a great Cleric and bringing their comrade across the wilderness to bring them back. Making a pact with the Magical Academy for more clones on the dead person's behalf. Traveling to a plane of death or Underworld to bring someone back.

That's all fun stuff. I like stories like that. I just don't want to get people's hopes up that everything is safe and there are no consequences. It's possible to bring people back, but I would consider it more of an exception then a rule

@Dark Cloud honestly though I'm not sure if the RP will be too deadly or not at level 1, so if people start loosing all their clones for no good reason I might give out more. Gotta find that middleground where things are fun but not a blender or cakewalk!

@Dark Cloud oh! Yeah you can create new characters when you die, you wouldn't get kicked out the rp.

On a similar topic, I hadn't thought too much about multiple characters, but I've ran roleplays with rules for them before. Stuff like making new characters is for fun and not to buff your favoured PC - can't trade between your own PCs, can't use your own PCs to outvote on a problem, ect. Or you can 'bank's your characters in town but can only run one actively at a time.

Food for thought anyway. Don't think anyone is wanting to run multiple PCs yet either way.

@rocketrobie2 Carl ordained to scuff the dirt. Upon the release of his burden he stood there for a long moment. Slowly, perplexed by this new development, the tiny mule turned in a circle. Then backtracked a step. Then hopped forward.

That was more then enough riveting excitement for one day. He stands still again, watching the sky languidly. Much contemplation is had.


Man, Carl is a party animal. Who'd have thought?
