Just to clarify, what is a Mystic Adept? A more magical Adept?

Nope.

Basically, a Mage who also has a limited number of Power Points that can be used to buy Adept Abilities - They were not as good as pure Mages or Pure Adepts in Shadowrun 4e, but become really good in Shadowrun 5e, while as for 6e... Not sure.

I suppose that works unless Fading Memory has anything to say about it since he knows more than I do about Shadowrun and is co-gm.

Also, since we have five interested folks here. I am going to work on a ooc and expect that either tomorrow or Saturday.

There's nothing inherently wrong with Mystic Adepts. If this were tabletop and we were using, say, 5e Rules I'd advise against them in general, but for pure roleplay they simply represent someone magically awakened who also achieved some physical manifestation of their mastery. It's a concept of balancing power to achieve great heights, whereas the specific Magicians or Adepts are much more focused than them.
