@rush99999 Just because I don't like making assumptions; Are the javelins Brutrumukk is carrying of bugbear make?
Trying to determine what all about this little gnome who's just run up to Voth looks out of place before I write my reply.

Brutrumukk isn't carrying any javelins. He lost them when he died.

Also, Brutrumukk didn't run up to Voth. He's still sitting in the spot he woke up on and called out to Voth from there.

See, this is why I asked; Your character sheet still has javelins listed in your inventory.

I'm guessing you didn't notice that the javelins are listed in the elsewhere section of the inventory. As in they are not in Brutrumukk's possess, but rather somewhere else.

@rush99999 I saw they were listed in your inventory, under the inventory tab. Suppose I've never really had cause to question whether someone's inventory and the things currently in their possession are not the same category of item.

But, again, that's why I asked instead of just assuming. Got the answer I was looking for, ultimately.

I decided to take the Observant feat. Aurora's Passive Perception is now 19 and passive investigation in 20. Took the point it gave for wisdom and she can now read lips and if the creature is speaking a language she knows she can understand them.

Sorry for the delayed response.

The usual pattern is I write a DM Post after the players post once. If a player doesn't post after a certain amount of time, I'll write the next DM Post to get the game going again. If I can't for some reason, I'll follow up OOC. Communication is key.

You are welcome to respond to rush, but just be conscientious: Don't get carried away and leave the rest of the players behind.

Fun Fact: Brutrumukk being a cannibal wasn't actually something I had envisioned as being part of his character back when I made him. But when Haruki ruled that eating the Bunny Brigands counted as cannibalism, I sorta just went with it and made him into the man-eating glutton he is today.

I wasn't actually aware of that; I just knew Bugbears were among the races for whom eating sentient creatures is normal. To the point they've been known to eat goblins.
