By the way, im slowly moving forward with getting The Lantern Rings to their true champions. So, if anyone wants to do any one-shot crossover stuff, now is the time.

Aware not everyone is in the Discord planning group I whacked together a while back so thought it best I comment here as well.
Warbird is shortly going to be tied up for a few posts in various conflicts in Southern Africa. If anyone wants to collab some state side action before then do shout!

looking forward to reading everything when I get a minute!
Ok
I still have to write a thing for Zach
How's everyone doing? I'm sorry I haven't been fulfilling my GM and player duties. I'm working on balancing my time more so that I can be consistently active again.

James Bond was orphaned young under circumstances buried beneath layers of classified documentation and institutional secrecy. Alongside another orphan, Alec Trevelyan, he was quietly absorbed into a covert British state initiative designed to identify, educate, and shape psychologically suitable candidates for future intelligence work. What began as scholarships and elite schooling slowly transformed into military conditioning, behavioural assessment, and eventual recruitment into the armed forces. Bond enlisted as early as legally possible, eventually distinguishing himself within the Royal Marines before being fast-tracked into the SBS and later attached to joint operations involving the SAS and British intelligence services. His operational history remains heavily classified, though rumours within MI6 describe an agent unusually effective in deep-cover operations, counter-terrorism assignments, and politically sensitive assassinations. At thirty-one, Bond has only recently earned his 00-status following a series of successful but controversial operations across Eastern Europe. Unlike the polished veterans surrounding him, Bond remains rough around the edges - physically imposing, emotionally guarded, and carrying a resentment toward the institutions that created him. Beneath the tailored suits and effortless charm is a man struggling to reconcile patriotism with the growing suspicion that he and Alec were engineered into becoming tools long before they were capable of consenting to it. This interpretation of Bond draws heavily from the colder emotional realism of Casino Royale while retaining the stylish glamour, dark humour, and larger-than-life espionage atmosphere associated with classic Bond stories. His world exists within the broader Marvel/DC setting through the involvement of organisations such as SHIELD and SWORD, allowing Bond to operate at the intersection of grounded espionage and emerging superhuman geopolitics. I plan on exploring some reimagined Bond villains, along with potentially placing him against appropriate comic villains like Lex Luthor, Norman Osborn, etc. I want to provide a deeper look at agencies like SHIELD through the lens of an agent working alongside them from across the pond. I'd also aim to provide some context around HYDRA and what the fight on the ground looks like against them. I think merging them in some way with SPECTRE could be interesting and provide them with an interesting cast of villains from Bond's gallery to strengthen them. Ultimately I want to have Bond to give me time to work on where I want to go with Otto and avoid being burned out with him. He could encompass the one arc I have prepared for him, or go further than that. Of course, as always I'm open to collaboration, and would find it interesting to have a normal human with a litteny of gadgets alongside superpowered individuals. I could see Bond being a middle-man for the American agencies - SHIELD, etc and their contact with other heroes, along with being a link to Europe and further as a member of MI6. |

No worries! We've all been busy it seems! I've been trying to plan things out for Otto so I can move his story forward properly, I've been conscious to avoid burnout again so to counteract this I've decided to put in an application for a bit of a different character I can run for a story arc while I work on things in the background.0 0 7

Thank you! I'm looking forward to seeing where you take Bond. In one of my earliest and longest forum roleplays, I had a character who inspired the Fleming to write the Bond books so I'm excited to see your portrayal.
And as I don't think anyone else has plans for the character I'm going to go ahead and already approve!
@Half Pint of course, if you wanted to make him book accurate, you would have used pictures of David Niven, who Fleming famously envisioned Bond to look like.

If someone is playing James Bond, can I be Barbie? :P
This is a joke.
