Um... Just so you know, people wearing kimonos aren't actually an uncommon thing in Japan. I mean they're not something that the majority of people would wear, but it's still not unusual to see someone wearing one. Thinking that it's cosplay is kind of weird and doesn't make much sense.

And is it technically safer for Toshiko to get drunk before driving, on the off-chance she can't actually find the steering wheel and gives up?

Toshiko's driving is... impressive? I suppose that's a compliment that could be given to it. Miraculous, maybe, even.

She never causes accidents, at least. Because no-one on-foot or in a car wants to be close to her when she's driving.
