History of Your Nation since start of Great Depression:
Mexico, initially hadn't been to badly affected by the Great Depression too much, with signs that the industry and the economy would recover and even improve for a time. And amazingly, they did just that, the economy improved and was on the rise.
However, with the new president Abelardo L. Rodriguez(who took office in 1932) failed to keep up the improvement of the nation and soon, the economy was back on the decline yet again.
In the date of 16 of September, a man arrived in the south of Mexico, claiming to be the grand-nephew of the Emperor of the Second Mexican Empire. His name was Maximillian the IV and claimed the rightful rule of Mexico.
He held a speech, saying that the corrupt democratic rule of current Mexico would see the country fracture into weaker and poorer disparate states, easy targets for any country. With that, he promised that he would bring Mexico to great heights, making it the strongest state in both North and South America.
A lot of the common people, whose situation had been worsening, had joined Maximilian in hopes that he would fulfill his promises. The president, seeing the claimant emperor heading towards the capital with tens of thousands of people following him.
So, Abelardo ordered the army to arrest Maximillian IV if possible, if not, he could kill him and the crowds would disperse. Soon, an army of 2.000 infantry and 45 tanks headed in the direction of the emperor.
However, the officer at the head of that army, joined up with the emperor. And in a situation reminiscent of Napoleons return to France after his defeat in Russia, the following three armies sent towards him also joined the president.
Seeing the situation, Alberado resigned as President when Maximillian arrived in the capital. The population cheered the emperor as he entered the city. Maximillian soon dissolved the previous government and named himself Emperor of the Third Mexican Empire.
For the following years until 1937, Maximillian decided to blame the woes of the country on the United States and it's people and started to import more modern equipment from other more developed countries, even surrounding himself with many more progressive advisors, be they Mexican, be they foreign.
Soon, the military and industry of Mexico began to develop and while still not the equal of a unified United States, the separated states now were starting to prove a very good prize for the Mexicans to seize.
At the start of the hear 1937, Emperor Maximillian IV ordered the mobilization of the army to prepare for war.
