This will be similar to a tabletop. However your stats and rolls are all going to be created by ME the GM. So you can play as you typically do. However, keep in mind the certain rolls needed for which action. I'll show my rolls and all that, but you control what you do. The rolls are simply a background system that will prevent "Perfection" in your actions. Keeping you on your toes.

The Edafos

land mass 2460 miles across. Taking about 2-3 months to travel from Gaia to Nero on foot.

---------------------

The Royal Families

Anyone can join as a family member. Ask the DMs if you can.

A new age of royalty has taken over this world. The former kings and queens have either passed down their titles through bloodline, or have been succeeded through trial. All the same the price for ushering in a new age of command is paid for with life and blood. This means each king and queen of each era has died. This is now on the second era of royalty without dragon rule. Will there be war or peace? The new age will tell a story that will change the world forever.

The Vrondi Family

-----------------------
Rules

Basic rules apply. No Godmoding, Powerplaying etc.
This is casual to advanced so at least three paragraphs is needed for each post.
No ongoing details of sex and mutilation etc. Some is ok.
The IG stands for In Game. What is allowed must be achieved in the roleplay.
The descendants range from demon, angel, dragon, and mixes between these. Nothing more or less.
The world is as it is, confusing and mysterious. Keep it that way, however your own history and even something like a village can be created to fit it. The overall world must remain the same.
Fighting and dealing with death is based on how I decide things should be fated. Most of the time if the battle Is fair between pvp I'll allow the victorious their decision.
Descendants are unlimited except for the Seraphim ones.
Advanced apps can only be given to specific characters. To start with a advanced app you sacrifice your spells and abilities. You can keep 1 however.
Have fun.

Humans do not live in Protogonos and so are not a shared bloodline in the Descendant species.

Great to have you. Shot you a pm.

Super interested in this, looks like so much effort has gone into it.
Here is the beginnings of my character application.
A lot to read!

This is the basic star sheet for each character and their weapons, and spells.

Alright. In combat there will be different rolls for certain things, like for instance a slash with a sword will have an agility check, and in retaliation a dodge from the target would be agility checked as well. Since 3 is the highest any average person can muster it will be my base for agility judging. If you roll a 7 however that's at least more than twice the agility of an average. So to me I will be judging speed based on agility rolls.

If you attack and roll a 7 and your opponent attempts to dodge they too must roll for agility and if they get a number higher then its an automiss for the attacker. If it rolls above then you will roll for either dexterity, strength, or Damage output for damage. Subtract that number by the defense of the one getting hit, there will be a defensive roll for this.

But if it is a miss the one dodging can now counter if they choose to (You can do whatever you want).

For every hindrance that will be a minus 1. A hindrance can be something simple like sun glare, smokescreen, stress, etc. And for each hindrance I'll subtract 1. For every advantage gained or bonus it will be a +1, this includes adrenaline, (Good) Drugs, Territory advantages, etc.

@Rai looking at the above system I think that any retaliation (ie dodge) should be done at a minus. The attacker should be at an advantage for making the move.

Also will you be filling out those stats or us?

Lastly I have just made an update to my back story, please check it out and let me know what you think.

That is a good point. I'll keep that in mind, likely throwing in a natural -1 to the evasion roll.

I'll be filling this out myself. Then applying the rolls as necessary and linking the results in the OC. Then the players will know the results of their actions.
It's coming together. The importance of your family does mean a lot. Otherwise you may have been a slave. Really like the design you're going for so far.

Except for one part your bloodline must equal out at 100% when added up. So 40, 40, won't do. Needs to be 40, 60 or 50 / 50

Fuck these Korean spambots.

Hello, I really like the idea and I'm currently debating on if I want to join or not (mostly because of time restrictions and my lack of time to post too often)
I am an avid player of tabletops and i have even been the GM for a few D&D campaigns.

This would be a terrible idea. The -1 would cause ties to still happen! Let the rolls stay the same but if it comes down to a tie, the attacker is in favor and still hits. That way there will never be an issue with who should win in a tie

This occurred to me already. As hitting a moving target is a -1, dodging from a stand still position is too a -1. So it evens out. As for ties the attacker will hit yes.

Your d&d expertise could be of good use here. I'm considering this a beta for now.

@Rai
What dice will you be rolling for these actions?

I'm also open to a mock trial of combat or such to see how it works before too much is invested into characters.

@Dark Light
My planned dice rolls are 1 dice, with varying maximums. For example 1d1, is the lowest of the low. This is the equivalent of an average individual with no training. I will be using the number 1 as the symbolization of weak, low or almost insignificant. 1 point of damage for example would be a scratch. 10 damage is like 1 scratch 10 times, leaving a significant cut or wound. That's how that is.

For every 2 levels you get a natural +1 to each roll. A 1d2(+1) is slightly above an average person, so some training. The (+1) is the constant level, and the dice represents ones potential in a certain aspect. The higher the dice level the higher likelihood of getting a low number, but, the higher the dice level the higher the natural boost. So a 1d10 will have a (+5), assuring they'll at least never do below a 6 in their rolls if there are no hindrances.

We can do a mock battle. I'll have a stat sheet for us both up soon.

Wooahh..

Got lost somewhere. Ended up here.

With lots of interest, from only reading through the first section.

Never played a tabletop before so I don't know if I'd join or not.

I believe @Rai will be taking care of the nitty gritty details that come into effect during combat otherwise everything else is much the same.

:) give it a go!

it's a slow-ish learning process in the beginning till you get used to how the system works, dice system can be a bit off putting at first, but they add a nice element or reality and randomness that life is (at least that's how i feel) to the narrative experience :) despite being a "home-made" system, give it a try :) you might like it ^_^

@Dark Light@Kibaro

I dont know. I'm usually not one for the killing off of characters which probably would happen at some point in these rp's.

I will subscribe to this. See if I can figure out what to do.

I wouldn't be too worried about character death. There are many ways to keep yourself alive. Then there's Ascension down the line, which is immortality.

What's your dilemma? I'm an open book, since there is no book on this. Yet.
