It's... different and I hate that my brother's the one whose account has the game, because to buy it and all the DLC for myself again... x_x

But hey, it's a game where political intrigue and marriages and alliances can be far more effective than conquering, and there's no "go take over everyone" thing. Hell, you could even just make it a goal to stabilise your realm and try and get your family on every country's throne.

More of a fan of Vicky 2 personally. Someone needs to unite the Germanic people under one banner.

I got civ 5 a while ago but I just have not had the time to play it yet, unfortunatly. I am very behind the ball on civ 6. Though it was good to see Gilgamesh get his just kingly due in that game.

I will have to try and check out cursader kings at some point, but I may be in my 80s by the time i get there.

Has anyone here played Dominions 3 or 4?

See, that one I actually have on my account (and cannot get the hang of). Not EUIV or CKII, though.

There are entire mods to introduce some of the Fate/Stay Night characters as playable civilisations. Off the top of my head, there's EMIYA, Gilgamesh, and Saber. I think there's a few more. Also a lot of Touhou civs... and Metal Gear ones for some reason. And Madoka civs.

Mods are fun.

thats awsome, im going to have to look that up. Cuchulain is already in the vanilla game though, he has a chariot that gives him awe +2 and hes perminatly on fire with trample. Then the one time I got him he was killed instantly by a random knight off the charge. T-T

I do a lot of MP sessions is the real reason why I have so many hours with a few of my friends which funny enough I learned from my challenger friend and master friend. Single player is fun but once you break down and understand what the AI is gonna do, it is all about breaking the systems in the game rather than playing the game imo.

Seyrun's part of my next post is ready, I'll leave Atalanta to do tomorrow and go sleep now.

I can barely keep my eyes open anyway.

I'd rather break the AI or make things harder. Or set goals/restrictions on myself. Playing against people in strategy games is no fun for me: either you team up and the game gets even easier than before, or it's a fight against the other person and I'll burn out long before anything reaches a climax unless it's utterly one-sided.

Yeah, a lot of people tend to die. We had a 30 man game and within the first 60 years 10 of them died. Mostly because we are very aggressive individuals. People go from 20 dev to 100 then back down to 40 then 300 in the span of years.

I got booted out of my room for the entirety of the night (and am still not allowed back in for another hour), so this is as good a time as any to write a post, right? :D

Edit: And there we go.

@PKMNB0Y

Such a shame that the joke regarding Atalanta's confusion of pie and pi flew right by. Either way, Kintoki keeps on making things fun as well.

EDIT:

I anticipate Atalanta having the shock of her life when trying ice cream for the first time. That'll be interesting to write.
