I semi-followed the previous version of this due to @Pudding showing me their character in my hang-out thread, and I actually did create a CS for the role-play, but the GM never got back to me about whether or not my Quirk idea was okay (I sent them a PM about it).

I wasn't even sure if I'd have time to get involved, and now that I'm running my own role-play (which is quite in-depth) I've got even less time. Still, I'll consider it. Don't know anything about the source material though, and generally speaking I don't join role-plays -- I only GM them, for a multitude of reasons.

I have an idea with probability manipulation quirk, so like a luck quirk. I was wondering if that wouldbe okay, and if I could reserve it? I am at the parent's place for Christmas, so I can't make a proper sheet till I get home.

While I don't want to speak on behalf of the GM, I'd imagine probability manipulation would depend on what it's capable of. That power is exceedingly broken unless it's limited to very specific applications (I'd know, since many of my characters are capable of using it and using it to the most extreme levels), so you'd probably need to be more specific for them to answer you.

@Shoryu Magami oh yea, its a power that I would be careful with. My general idea is making it affect things that he directly influences. So something someone else does can't be affected, like he can't pull a domino and like jam peoples guns, or make them win the lottery. His power allows him to random chance his way into a situation, so he can say guess things well, but not pwrfectly and say throw a rock and have it start a chain reaction.

I would want it to be a power that is situationally really good, but not nessisary a combat focused ability, if the description makes sense

Given how you described it as a luck-based power, it seems like it's more or less 'fortune manipulation'. I imagine it'd largely depend on how you describe it, yeah. It's similar to the situation I was in when I made my CS for this role-play last time -- my character's power revolved around space manipulation, but I gave it a lot of very specific applications in order to prevent the character flat out being broken as all hell.

My main story project has a lot of exceedingly powerful characters (my circle of people who follow my work actually think it's the most powerful fictional verse ever created, period) while still remaining balanced in-universe, so I'm very good at scaling powers and knowing what might or might not break a setting. That's one of the reasons I'm usually the first to offer my input when people suggest powers like this -- I spend a lot of time severely toning down my own characters for role-plays.

Anyway, I imagine the GM could give you an opinion more fitting to this role-play. They know what they want, after all.

Aah, I like Fortune Manipulation, that seems like a much more fitting name for what I had in mind.

But yea I know what you mean, I am not the best at balancing myself but I always try and make powers that are less focused around being strong and more focused on situational strength. I find it more rewarding when you can work around a problem without simply overpowering it. But those types of powers can be pretty fun too :P

Yeah, fortune manipulation makes more sense, because probability manipulation can pretty much be used to make impossible things happen depending on how it's used. When push comes to shove, there's not a lot of difference between probability manipulation and outright reality manipulation.

Balancing powers is one of my specialties. I mentioned before that my characters in my main project are all incredibly broken, but due to how I set up the setting and due to each of their various powers a lot of time they end up just cancelling each other out -- they'd all pretty much be unbeatable if put up against characters from other fictional worlds though. That space manipulation character I had in mind for this role-play was pretty powerful, but severely downplayed compared to anything I'd do in my main project.

Situational powers can be interesting, yeah. The current role-play I'm about to start running is more or less going to have completely normal people in a situation where they have to use their wits and intuition to find their way around situations that are vastly beyond anything a normal human could ever hope to take on directly.

Anyway, hopefully I've assisted with making it easier for the GM to know what you're looking for.

Yeah your pretty much right, since Komei is a renowned school characters should have some strengths but they are still young and inexperienced so they will have weaknesses.

We are open for creativity as well just shoot me or Animal a Pm. I usually check the website every other hour. We want to focus more on how the characters develop into heroes not just kids in school with superpowers. I want to make sure everybody in the Rp is involved somehow.

Good to know I was on the mark.

I'm interested in the role-play, but I find that my creativity tends to be a bit too boundless for me to function as anything other than a GM most of the time. I'm also a leader by nature and never a follower, but I understand that taking part in someone else's role-play doesn't automatically mean you have to feel like you're being controlled. More than anything, I just don't like stifling my creativity, and once I make a character for a role-play I find I end up having a whole world built around that character and nine out of ten times I can never use any of it in the role-play because it's too much for the GM and usually involves NPCs, so I tend to operate better when I'm the one immersing other people in a world -- I feel I don't make that good of a player due to this.

Anyway, not to get off topic, since I need to head out to a Christmas Eve gathering in the next hour or so. I'll probably toss you the PM (or a modified version of it) that I sent the previous GM, since I'm interested, but I can't guarantee my presence at this point because I'm very overworked as it is and I need to get my own role-play moving forward so I can focus on my main story project's work again (it's a massive project -- I'll leave it at that) since this site's been distracting me too much.

I'll leave it up to you whether or not I finish the character (I didn't bother writing his backstory once I realized the GM wasn't gonna answer me) before sending you the Quirk idea. There's actually an NPC connected to this character who is vastly more powerful than he is, but I didn't plan on that character even making an appearance unless you wanted him too. It's just - like I already said - I'm not capable of making a character without finding myself building a whole world around them.

The things I absolutely want are wings, a tail, enhanced sight(seeing in the dark along with a small improvement to distance.) and smell/hearing, and some scales in places. Sharp teeth would be nice along with denser muscles but not necessary. Oh and there is a drawback I would have if that would be needed for a couple extra. It would be the reversed scale on a dragon.
