The

An infinite roulette wheel of worlds that are similar, yet different. From a world where ninja summon giant frogs to do battle, to a world plagued by witches and soul devouring serial killers, the multiverse is a place of infinite chaos, and madness. It was this madness, this violence, that gave rise to the great powers that be. Groups of worlds, universes, banding together to do battle against the greater evils of the multiverse. These great forces however, soon turned in on themselves, as good is in many ways, subjective. Now, war plagues reality on a scale not seen before. This has lead to heroes rising that have turned the tides of wars, as well as villains that have brought untold suffering. Now, three great armies have arisen, with many more swarming into the conflict, as well as a council forming to keep the destruction to a minimum, governing the great war from a neutral zone. However, this is not where you start. Where you all begin, is in your mundane lives, as mundane as the average can be. Until, you feel yourselves gripped, and ripped, from your reality.

It's a surreal experience, as you feel yourselves pulled into a void, a place where you see the splendor of the multiverse, the infinite globes lined up. To see how large everything is, and to in the same moment, know how small you are. However, you feel darkness engulf you. Your sight is engulfed by a darkness that even the greatest of sight cannot pierce, and you soon find yourself in a room. You're able to move, breath, without problem, but unable to see, the darkness still there. You soon hear a voice. "Be not afraid. You're not dead. But you are within hell..." It purrs, a man's voice, deep and smooth. The darkness begins to break, as you find yourself within a room, a desk surrounding you on all sides. At this desk, a group of figures who's very presence makes your skin crawl, and your hair stand on end.
Many of them are hidden under some form of robe, or other device hiding their identity, but one, a man with a large set of horns sprouting from his forehead is easily made out. He's wearing a red suit, and is smoking a cigar that has an almost fruity scent to it. He leans forwards. "So, tell me friends. What are your names, and where are you from?" He asks with a smile, smoke pouring from his mouth as he speaks.

Asura looked around. Obviously unnerved by what he saw

"Hell?" He asked "but that means..." immediately, the man began to feel...uneasy to say the least as the god of madness tried to piece everything together

Mithias opened his eyes. It was all blackness at first, but then, the substance of existence began to form around him. He stood unmoved as he felt himself transported between time and space and energy to come into a new universe, a new realm. Such godly transcendence was not unfamiliar to the ancient traveler, only this time, he wasn't driving the bus.

Yellow eyes slit open in his ever-youthful, pristinely proportioned and flawless face. Long black hair, the envy of every black witch, ran free and wild down his back. He wore a black shirt with sleeves that ran under ornate, yet functional, metallic plates of armor that covered strategic locations over half of his body. Three daggers were strapped to the thigh on his right and a coiled whip hung from his waist on his left. His most powerful weapons remained invisible.

Whatever Mithais was, he emanated an aura of strength and unmoved confidence. He had appeared right next to Asura, yet gave no reaction to the mad god. Instead, his surreal gaze fixated upon the red devil that had summoned him here, and he watched him, unblinking for a uncomfortably long moment.

"I am Mithias. Why have you summoned me?"

B-00F, Also known as Frojund, jumped a bit at the sudden shift in reality that had taken place. The myriad of new senses, sights, and experiences taking place all at once rendering his mind incapable to fully processing the information set before him in just the limited time it had taken for him to appear in a chair before the beings that had summoned him most likely at a distance from them rather than directly across the table. The rather large, reptilian creature was shirtless, displaying the creme coloration along his stomach and chest scales, trailing off into the rather poof-y, brown pants tied about his waist via some cordage at the top and the twine of his foot wraps at the bottom. His pants appeared to be made of some sort of rough, thick material suggesting burlap or even hemp with a looseness around his thighs and waist for what little comfort could be afforded to him with a hole in the back for his tail. His feet were more akin to taloned claws, leaning much more towards a bestial nature rather than humanoid as did the rest of him, which meant what served as shoes were more akin to armored foot wrappings than shoes as one would know them made of the same rough material as his pants along with some bits of leather or what might have been thin chitin depending on the observer. Despite his sized, the eye was most likely naturally drawn towards the blackened metal cuffs around his wrists, while the chain was looped around his neck to keep his hands out of the way and prevent him from simply pulling apart the chain with all that strength that seemed to radiate from his visage due to the tightly packed muscle rippling along his body.

Frojund's first inclination was to look around, ignoring the demon briefly while small emissions of border-line magical nature were detected from him, a thin aura of chill surrounding him in order to even out his internal temperature due to the most likely excruciatingly hot climate of what one would assume hell to be. Unless of course this was the sort of hell that would be actual torture akin to attempting to step foot into bureaucracy of the highest degree without even filling out the proper requisite entry forms needed to attempt a beginning. In which case he simply adjusted slightly, shifting his hands close together so the chain around his neck could loosen, along his inhuman-ly large tongue to slither forth from his mouth, scoop up the chain, and pull it back in. A large screech and tearing sound is likely what alerts those that had yet to notice him to his presence as his jaw snaps the chain shortly before his hands take turns removing the cuffs via simply breaking them off. To any that actually took the time to watch him, his motions were slow and meticulous, it quite obvious that he was in no rush to free himself or answer the questions which had been leveled at him by the demon.

"I believe it would be the courteous for the host to introduce themselves first, however seeing as how this is definitely not home I'll hazard a guess and say that things function differently here?" He asks evenly, his voice deep as would befit his size while his gaze is measured and cold, some could even call it calculating. To any that were un-used to multiversal travel it would be quite clear as to the "gift of tongues" that comes with the territory as the language he uses is either complicated or long-winded, yet what is heard is plain English, leading it to sounding like he's speaking rather slowly when in reality it is their perception of what he's saying that is too fast for his intended speech. This also had the side effect of a "bad lip-sync" effect in which those gathered could see his mouth moving yet it might take a few milliseconds before they could actually hear what was said.

- The Traveler, Hell -

Black polished shoes click on the brimstone floor as a figure in a dark blue pinstriped suit stepped forward into the dim light. With one hand he adjusted a pair of horn-rimmed glasses as he checked a fancy silver clockwork watch of a brand unknown to this world. Simple brown hair framed a relatively unremarkable face. Slightly paler than one might expect, and with a small nose, he struck the figure of the typical businessman. The only departure from this image were the eyes, that practically glowed from behind the pair of glasses. Orbs of azure glass observed the gathering of shady figures, a piercing gaze that gave the impression this strange figure was looking into your soul.

With a slight smile the Traveller removed his glasses, taking a neatly folded tissue out of his breast pocket and briefly wiping the lenses. Then, with a slight nod to the assembled stranger he took a seat on a chair that had failed to previously make itself apparent, placing his hands on a similarly spontaneous desk. "Why, isn't this rather ironic? Demons summoning humans into hell." Glancing around in the dim light, the Traveller gave each of the others a short looking-over. Each time he would linger on seemingly innocuous details, and smile in a knowing way. It was a smile that would seem warm, were one to ignore his eyes. And it never seemed to waver, regardless of the extraordinary appearances and behaviours of these assembled strangers.

Returning his attention momentarily to the horned figure who had previously spoken, the Traveller addressed his hosts. "My name is of no importance, I find them a limiting label. I also find that figures aesthetically similar to yourselves often find supernatural uses for names that I don't wholly approve of. Call me the Traveller, or just Mr Travis. As for where I'm from, well... I get around." Leaning forward on his self-created seat, the Traveller carefully placed his glasses back on his nose. "Now clearly this isn't a social call and I'm a busy man, so please do elaborate as to what we're all doing here. What is this going to be? Threats, offers, bargains, job interview, information gathering?"

While outwardly displaying no sign of caution, within his own mind the Traveller was quite unsettled. Although quite accustomed to travel between universes, and probably more familiar with the scale of the Multiverse than most, he had yet to be 'summoned' in quite such an audacious manner. Certainly any being capable of such a feat was not to be taken lightly, and indeed the Traveller had no intention of underestimating any of these various assembled beings. Even now he was cautiously probing the space around him with his powers, seeing whether he was able to contact his pocket dimensions. While certainly not completely unarmed his main arsenal was always stored away. And like any good negotiator, he HATED being at a disadvantage during a talk.

The horned man smirked with delight, as Mr. Travis spoke. "Three points to the sharply dressed man. Offer, is the category of this little business venture. As for your name, don't worry, I'm not intending to bind you or anything. That'd limit how useful you'd be to me..." He purrs out. He begins to open his mouth to speak, but a hooded figure near by beats him to it. Their eyes open under their hood, showing a striking yellow, a hue found in fire.
"You're not in hell, and I'm getting tired with his theatrics. You're here, because your homes are in danger. A war has broken out, and your worlds are on the edge of it, teetering on the edge of cataclysm. Normally, I'd not give a damn, but I've been asked by a dear friend to keep your worlds from being over-ran by demons, zombies, soldiers, or whatever else would be thrown at them. Right now, you're here to picks sides." He speaks, his voice deep, gravely, and cold. "So cut the flowery or the evasive crap, or I'll cut it for you."

"...Ahh, yes. So bluntly put..." The demon starts, before the hooded man punches him in the face, breaking his nose, and shattering many of the teeth in his mouth. The punch echos though the air, making everyone ache slightly due to the sudden shock wave gently passing though them. The demon holds their face, blood pouring though his fingers. He glares at the hooded man, before looking at the assembled cast.
"..Yes...You're here to pick sides. One of them being mine, which I implore you to choose. My name is Ozwald, and I am the best good, anyone will get here." He says, slouching into his chair.

No doubt others would speak out against this, among the crowd of hooded men and women there, but for now, it seems he had the floor.

Asha

The tearing from ones body was normal in the older versions of her people's warp spell, but this was different. The view was not of her spirit traveling over plains, but of orbs more beautiful then an gene. Asha gasped in shock as Infinity was shown before her a shiver running up her spine as the gene unlocked itself. Asha had barely come to terms with the change when her feet hit the floor of the waiting area. Asha fell a hand on her sword as her knees hit the floor staring up at the creatures. Asha didn't understand what hell was, but stood quickly to face these new creatures. The robes covered there faces and her chain mail protested gently at her sudden movement. Asha stood up straight feeling her blood flowing fast hoping to keep a watch on the groups back turning to face the creatures to the rear. Asha could feel the power of this group as her mind focused realising fighting wasn't an option. Asha took her hand off her sword scanning the surroundings for an exit.

- The Silent King -

Among the shadowy figures of the Council, one in particular stood out. An inhumanly tall figure whom's features were hidden beneath a simple dark brown robe, frayed at the edges. All that could be seen of this strange entity's true form was a pair of glowing green eyes, which calmly observed the going-ons at this strange gathering. But even with so little features to go by most would find the creature's presence oddly unsettling, for reasons they could not entirely pinpoint. The more acute observers might discover the source of their discomfort: the creature was completely still. In a manner that no living creature can be, it was without movement. It did not shift on it's feet, or twitch it's muscles, and even the steady rise and fall of the chest could not be observed.

Indeed the Silent King had long before overthrown nature's tyranical rule over his body. No longer was he bound by the limitations of the flesh, and the many seductions of nature had no hold on him. Clearly this was a trait that his colleagues did not share. For even with the power and status of an immortal they were slaves to the impulsive nature of the mortal mind, strung along by hormonal reactions and emotional outbursts. This little display of violence was merely one of the many symptoms of this unfortunate condition, and indeed the Silent King lamented that the fate of the Multiverse lay in the hands of such creatures. Even those who called themselves Demons were no more than mortal creatures, subject to the same inherent flaws.

But such was the way things were. It was simply another unfortunate fact of life that would need to be accepted among all the rest. More important than such age-old laments were these beings that had been assembled before the Coundil, and the situation at hand. While not inclined to pander towards the emotional needs of these biological entities he would require the assistance of these creatures if he wished to continue his plans. And in order to do that he would have to act in a manner that would soothe their simple minds and satiate their simple desires. Certainly no complicated feat, considering the simplicity of the mortal thought process.

When the Silent King spoke his voice was heavy and metallic, reverberating through the extradimensional space. It was not the voice of any normal creature, but it was certainly a voice that required attention. And indeed there was something vaguely commanding in it, the tone of a king. "Ah, allow me to explain the situation further. We are the Council, a group of entities who represent the most powerful factions within the known Multiverse. I myself am the Silent King, and I represent the Immortal Empire of the Necrontyr." Slowly the Silent King removed his hood, revealing a flat metallic face with glowing green eyes and a thin groove where the mouth should be. "I do apologize for the manners of my colleagues, but know that you will not be harmed here. For as long as this meeting is underway you are under the protection of the Council, and not even it's own members will be able to harm you."

Briefly pausing to glance at his aggressive colleagues, the Silent King continued. "The reason you have been brought here is in order to settle an issue the council cannot directly intervene in. To assist in settling a war between council members. This would be the reason that you are asked to take sides." Now came the art of convincing them to choose the right side. Mortal stupidity was a formidable enemy, but the Silent King believed himself up to the task. After all, he had observed such mortal behaviours for millions of years. "As for my side, I am simply attempting to create a unified empire, a single force that could maintain peace and equality. A multiverse ruled by intellect and reason, rather than a Council of gibbering fools. Some of which are, in fact, demons." While the Silent King had no particular issue with Demons, many mortal races associated the word with a variety of traits they considered objectionable. As such, the mere mention of this fact would probably do a lot to discredit the Council in the eyes of these mortals, and convince them to assist the Silent King in disbanding it. Or at least, that would be the logical outcome.

Emotions flared in the room. Mithias stood observant, considering all he had heard and witnessed, from the belligerent council member's violent outburst, to the Traveler's professional dismissal, to Asha's anxious scans for an exit.

Mithias allowed his attention to linger on the latter. The young knight had eyes just like his. He had noticed. In fact, the resemblance of the black-haired human clad in elements of plate and bearing a sword reminded him so much of... himself. He probed her thoughts first, finding them to be easily predictable. She was alarmed, yet her thoughts were practical, like those of the warrior she was. She was innocent, pure in intention, and a helper, no... a healer, to others. Mithais could see the memories of her past actions like images in the flickers of flames, but he had no time to dwell. Chance were, he would have loved her, had he been mortal, but such attachments were meaningless to him now.

Mithias's mind-seeking attention then floated to the next being, known as Asura. Immediately, he was repulsed by the cacophony of madness barely held in check by the demigod's will. Reading him further would likely result in a headache. Thus, he moved on. He scanned briefly past Frojund, noting him as having some significant, hidden power, yet not knowing what form exactly that power took. The other human-looking being calling itself Travis read similarly, but his emotions were more clear. For the moment, Travis appeared interested, yet he was hiding his discomfort and wanted to be in control. Very logical, of course. Mithias did admire his outward self-control.

In contrast, the yellow-eyed member of the hooded council, exhibited a complete lack of control as he smashed the nose of the speaker, Oswald. Instantly, Mithias sized him up as a potential threat. This one's mind, was far more difficult to read, full of fire and rage, and a superiorly relentless will. The latter surprised the psychically gifted creature that Mithias was, for it at least rivaled his own in magnitude. Secretly, the ex-vampire honed in on him for a moment, peeling the layers and seeking out more information on this "friend" that had asked him to protect their worlds. ... a light, white wings, a smile. Mithias drew what conclusions he could. Whatever the friend was seemed in complete contrast to the hulking, demonic beast that impatiently explained the situation to them. Who could say how that matchup ever came to be.

The demon called Oswald was quite different than Mithias had expected. His daily activities revolved around torture and punishment, yet he took no sadistic pleasure in it, only the satisfaction of justice done. He was devoid of sympathy, cold as ice, to the suffering he incurred on his prisoners. Getting on his darkside was utterly permanent, as he seemed to have no concept of mercy or forgiveness. Perhaps, he was the perfect executioner. Mithias then had to wonder, who was the judge?

Then there was the last fellow. He, or it, was tall, with eyes of sickly glowing green, a metallic body, and unearthly resonant voice. He represented the "other side" of this council's present conflict. He was the one charged with invading and potentially destroying the present company's homeworlds, overrunning them with "demons, zombies, soldiers, or whatever else," all in the name of forming a unified empire of reason.

Mithias narrowed his eyes at him, and it was to him that he spoke. "I know of you, Necron." The verbalization of such knowledge came as a shock. Mithias continued, once that shock had worn off. "For I have spent some time in your universe. You claim the noble goal of peace before us, via imposed rule by reason, yet you must know that there is one other who has already succeeded in this. You know of whom I speak." Mithias met the Silent King's undead gaze with his ironically mutant-looking eyes. The implication was obvious.

Mithias had never attempted to read the thoughts of a Necron before, and so he tried to do it now. He had so many questions as to the true intentions and sanity of the galvanized xeno before him, yet, he could get nothing. The shell was empty. It was like trying to read a computer. In fact, the Necron was psychically and spiritually invisible to Mithias, not even registering as a soul. A Necron would be his ideal assassin.

Mithias grunted a soft derisive sound. "You would in no way be worthy."

- The Silent King -

"You refer to the Empire of Man, correct?" The Silent King displayed no shock, no surprise, not even the slightest twitch. His face was merely a mask of metal and wires, incapable of displaying such weakness. "While I am aware of a certain sentimentality that connects many of your species to the leading figure of this dynasty, the Empire was a failed institution. After analysis it became clear that your species had failed on every observable front, and seemed to be making no attempt to correct those mistakes. Had I not interjected, my calculations predict that they would have been irrevocably destroyed after less than 500 cycles had passed." It's words remained cold and monotone, displaying not the slightest flicker of emotion. And as it spoke it gestured, causing a small orb to drift forward seemingly of it's own volition. The orb would then begin displaying images, graphs and detailed paragraphs as holograms around Mithias, reading his eye movement in order to automatically 'scroll' through this information. The data itself was a side-by-side comparison of the Necrontyr Empire and the Imperium of Man, focused on elements such as technological advancement, agricultural development, and judicial systems. "While the original intentions of your Emperor would have generated a far more effective system, he failed to apply his ideas. A number of failures, first and foremost his failure to quell the rebellion of his kin, caused his ideas to fail. But considering his many failures, even if the rebellion had never occurred the resultant system would have been highly inefficient. I believe this is referred to as 'human error' among your species. An immutable barrier that my own people have long passed."

After finishing this little monologue the Silent King briefly nodded to the others in the room. "My most sincere apologies. I have carried this narrative for too far. However," he continued, this time addressing the assembled strangers "detailed information on my Empire and it's goals are available on demand. You will most likely wish to peruse the most important elements of the judicial system, governmental system, and the wartime regulations. I have pre-selected these elements for easy access, but you are free to browse on your own." Orbs similar to the one which Mithias had already been given gently floated over to each of the assembled guests. They briefly displayed instructions for browsing the information contained within, and then allowed full access to a variety of information. Notably, there were occasional sidebars for 'mortal concerns', addressing things such as Oxygen, Disease, and Food.

"Before we continue this meeting, I wish to interject the wartime trial of Mithias Varomere for the attempt to glean state secrets from myself, as well as several other Council members. A crime punished in most governmental systems I am aware of by death or lifelong incarceration." Once more the Silent King did not emote, declaring this trial as if he were merely reciting the weather. Certainly this was not the face of mercy. "Considering the interdimensional nature of this crime performed on Neutral grounds, I suggest that he be persecuted for the action by each affected member individually. Should several guilty verdicts be pronounced, the accused will suffer the punishments in order of lethality as agreed upon by general consensus of the Council. Should he be killed by an earlier punishment, further punishments will become irrelevant." Briefly the Silent King paused to glance at the other members of the council. "Each member who wishes to press charges must speak up now. If there are those who disagree with the proposed method of trial, then a proper method of trial will have to be discovered through a Council meeting and vote. In such a situation, I propose that Mithias Varomere be incarcerated in a holding area on neutral ground until such a time as a fair trial is possible."

He glanced at the guests, once more. "While it is unusual for guests to be allowed to attend a Council event such as this upcoming trial, I vote that the assembled figures be allowed to witness upcoming events. Should they be involved in the coming conflict then they must be aware of how these things are handled. Alternatively, if they wish for a secluded location, then the adjoining rooms are available. I have already ensured that refreshments are provided, and requests can be handled by the local staff for the duration of the trial." Internally, the Necron Overlord complimented himself for having thought of everything. This situation would be swiftly handled, and those in the area would be swayed to his side by the logic of his approach.

While B-00F or Frojund depending on preference of the person in question remained silent, Mithias's invasion of his privacy had not gone unnoticed, along with the invasion of everyone there. His hand raised leisurely so that he might draw attention to himself once the declaration of a trial was proposed. "I would motion that jailing sentences be left out of the list of punishments in this particular trial due to the nature of the multiple accusing parties in question. Multiple incarcerations in a row might cause issues with the shorter-lived among us that wish the guilty party in question punished. It would be difficult to punish someone should the accusing party have long since perished of old age." B-00F states matter-of-factly, his tone similarly melancholic or emotionless as the silent king's, suggesting either a heavy distance from his emotions or a lack there-of as well as his own, personal verdict on mithias's trespasses.

"Furthermore, I'd also like to ask the 'Silent King' whether or not robotification would be required for those wishing to join, as my capabilities lie in the biological." The giant lizard-man adds cool-y, as he shifts in his chair to more comfortably view the information provided to him via the orbs, rather rapidly scrolling through multiple screens at once. Though his face was devoid of any knowable tell to the more human/robotic gathered there, those familiar with the more reptilian species such as Asha would be able to see the look of interest on the scaled giant's visage.

Before asura could speak, a portal opened up. From the portal a young woman, looking to be somewhere in her mid twenties, entered the room, cursing under her breath. She wore a hastily ironed long-sleeved black shirt, black skirt, basically all black clothing. Including an eyepatch that covered her left eye. Her long black hair was messy, overall she looked like a mess. Many of the council members instantly recognized her as she quickly moved to her seat. "Sorry guys, forgot we had a meeting today, I accidentally slept in, but it was the best night's sleep I got all week." She says, adjusting her eyepatch. She then takes notice of the others "okay...these are definitely new faces... did we have another crisis?"

Asha relaxed listening carefully. The assembled individuals had not all spoken yet. Asha had no real problem with the man known as Mithias. The council was of more interest to her bowing politely to the girl who just entered. Asha waited not voicing her opinion on the idea of a trial. Asha read carefully through the info the Silent King had provided. Asha smiled the machine had really thought of everything, but definitely suffered from the same egotistical behavior that had so often destroyed governments. The Endless would have been very amused by this creature. The Silent King to Asha seemed just to be an insane AI perhaps another council member would have a better idea for a future in which her people might survive.

Mithias looked away from his display orb, having seen enough. "For your information..." Began the unimpressed immortal once all accusations had flown. "The Imperium of Man didn't fail, it was attacked, and even the resultant damage failed to destroy it. What you blithely see as civil war was ultimately orchestrated by outside forces, something that could easily happen again, Necron." Mithias waved his floating orb away. "And this detailed information you so rapidly flash before our eyes is slanted and manipulative. You leave out critical time periods and distort the Y-axis to make your claims look believable." Mithias scoffed. "You vastly underestimate the minds of the champions your council has summoned here." Of course, he said nothing of the giant lizard dude who was totally buying into all of it. He looked around at his eclectic compatriots, then went on. "The Emperor did it better my friend. He accounted for problems that your infantile empire would be fraught with, but even still, I have not yet chosen a side."

Mithias looked back to his accuser. "It has not escaped my, or several others', notice that you move quickly to eliminate me as soon as you identify a potential opponent. You have no grounds for accusation, for I was summoned to this meeting, not of my own will, and I can no more be damned for using my third eye as a flying creature can be damned for using its wings." Mithias had no idea how the Silent King knew he had telepathy, but it was obvious he did. "Still, if you insist, then I motion to be pardoned, or for any trial to be postponed in light of wartime emergency and the apparent, immediate need for my service. In other words, we don't have time for your games, Necron."

Some new being with an eyepatch suddenly materialized and joined the council members. Mithias casually regarded her and said nothing of it.

"Council Member Oswald." Mithias had read his name from his mind and admitted it. "You say we are to chose a side in this interstellar species war, yet I say to you, why? What gives us the right to decide who is to live and die and what species is most fit to survive? Why should we deprive natural selection from taking its course among the stars? If these worlds bear the capacity to defend themselves, then why not allow them to do so? If the Silent King can take them, then they should be his."

It was rare Frojund got to watch someone actively got to watch someone attempt suicide through legal trial, though it was amusing all the same. "If the defendant pleads guilty so adamantly then a trial isn't really needed to determine guilt. I'd like to motion we go straight to sentencing and get things over with" The large lizard-man states from his chair, motioning his own particular orb back over to the silent king once he was done gleaning what he could from it. Though the practically palpable air of dissatisfaction mithias leveled at him due to the apparent ease at which he slid into this new role as a council member didn't take an ounce of his, admittedly minuscule psionic capabilities by comparison to detect.

"If anything your admittance as to the lack of control you maintain over your ability's wandering suggests a harsher punishment for such actions should be taken. Normally invasions of privacy in such an intimate nature would be counted as rape, though the more paranormal nature of that actual act in question leaves much more of a grey area. However the fact that such invasions of privacy were carried out wanton-ly and without restraint suggests that you will simply do it again and again indefinitely should you be left to your own devices. I'm sure your demons would be quite familiar with fitting punishments to permanently and without fail prevent such further infractions from ever occurring again. Were this matter physical it would be a simple matter of castration followed by purposefully closing the wound so the organs in question could not re-grow, though in this particular instance the removal of a paranormal ability would require a specialist." B-00F so eloquently states with enough emotion to maintain interest yet enough of a lack there of so as to maintain that he was approaching things from a factual mind-set. Though his words created quite the dilemma between the two upper rulers, due to the fact that he was able to quite skillfully adjust his rhetoric so that Mithias' own words worked against him. While it was clear that there was a certain skill involved in political speaking, this creature seemed remarkably talented in the manipulation of others, his own limited psionic abilities not actually coming into play even slightly.

As for the verdicts, this quite clearly left everyone in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't situation" where, if Mithias was spared, it could very easily be construed that the merciful party was partaking in willful negligence of a known intelligence and privacy risk, meaning that it could be seen as them actively endangering the rest of the group and even themselves to save a single person. On the flip-side, executing this "mental castration" as Frojund put it was singled out quite clearly as the best and most merciful option in a sense due to it still leaving mithias alive, albeit much less potent due to a lack of invasive psionic abilities. While this could be seen as a method of showing that the volunteering party was the much more willing to think of the good of the whole, botching the procedure would likely leave the punished party in question comatose for a time at best and completely lobotomized at worst.

"......" Oswald slowly took in a deep, deep breath. "....Now, let's just start taking some steps back here, because we're all walking on thin ice. As for the slight slip up of information gathered by our pale friend here, he's been ripped into a hostile environment..." Oswald starts, looking at the hooded creature who had punched him, frowning. "...And a creature that just waits for the slaughter, is a sheep. They who ready themselves, who prepare themselves, they are a predator cornered. Far scarier, wouldn't you say?" Oswald states, smirking at the Silent King. "So, I will pardon him of this crime, at least as far as I'm able. He'll be free as a bumble bee..." He always loved using organic comparisons, as he felt like it poked at some of the far back programming of the Silent King. He'd imagine it felt something like irritation. He hoped it did, intensely so.

"As for your comparison of survival of the fittest...I'd like to tell you something. For as long as those advanced enough to control their own fate has existed, survival of the fittest had only applied to the weaker creatures of a realm. Even the weakest man could overcome the strongest monster, should he hone his mind, his faith, and his body." Oswald starts, beginning to walk around the Council table to add dramatic flair to his speech. "He who wields good, and I mean, as true of good as one can get. Well, he can topple empires. He can send gods hurtling down with a single word, or stroke of his hand. He, can obliterate any evil, be it rampaging killer robots..." Oswald puts, his eyes shifting to the Silent Tincan. "..Or be it a corporation who thinks they're doing the best for everyone..." He adds, looking to the newcomer among them, the Woman in Black. "Or be it demons who march upon their world to consume it." He says, leaning over the table at a break in it, to draw attention to himself. "Survival of the fittest applies to animals, and other such creatures who lack a true sense or morality, and self. When it comes to those who can truly tell morality, or self, those who take the route of good. They claim true power....That, is why I deny my fellows. That, is why I put evil under my thumb, and force them into good. It is why I refuse to lose..." Oswald finishes, before plopping down into his chair.

"Oswald, though I understand your choice to pardon the mind reading vampire." The woman begins. Portalling in a cup of coffee "we must keep in mind that reading the minds of council members isn't something that's easily ignored." She pauses to take a sip and continues "We should at least make sure he didn't accidentally stumble upon anything major. Such as key locations, or objects of power we want to keep hidden. Obviously if someone got their hands on such info, things could go south pretty fast." She looks at mithias and says "at very least, I hope after the trial he'll be more careful not to do something like this again."

Mithias exhaled long. "You summoned me here, and failed to make your expectations, your 'laws,' clear before you began. Merely calling upon me without my consent is a violation against me in turn, so I say, we are equal.
Now, if it appears I am unfit for this mission, then I am more than willing to leave and commit to disinvolve myself. There is no reason to detain me, kill me, alter me, or otherwise.

If you feel you must know what I have learned, for whatever reason, then I will allow one of you to read my mind for the information. My simply telling you could be lies and it would also be heard by all present and become public knowledge. Do you desire this?"

- The Silent King -

"Ignorance of the law excuses noone. However, considering the particular circumstances of this case I am willing to grant a pardon. Mithias Varomere is hereby cleared of all crimes under Necron law. My colleague may perform the agreed-upon procedure once the meeting has met it's conclusion, as there remains business at hand." And with that the matter was settled. As if it had been no more than a matter of the weather the Silent King moved on to the next subject. "If you wish to compare any particular matter, Varomere, the information has been provided to you. Should there be any omissions then you are free to ask me for the omitted information. As for your concerns on the Warp..." The Silent King paused a moment, recalling old memories. The battle against Chaos had been a fierce one, and one he had led. It was the first of his great works in the galaxy, and an action he had not regretted. "Your ruinous powers have been safely locked away. All semi-permanent warp storms have been closed, and dimensional stabilising technology has ensured that contact between the Materium and Immaterium is minimal. In addition a project is currently underway to suppress the psychic gene in all humans through genetic manipulation. As of yet attempts to completely erase or separate the Warp have failed, but it is merely a matter of time. Information on the Chaos Wars are provided in the infosphere."

When he continued speaking, the Silent King addressed all those gathered. "Any of those present have hereby been made aware, by Council law, that your homeworlds are to become a war zone. My forces will soon arrive in each of your respective dimensions to transition your civilisations into the greater Necron Empire. This transition will occur with the minimum required amount of violence, and you are here in order to be granted a simple choice." His voice remained cold as ice, a deep electronic buzz that held no hint of mercy. This creature did not joke, and did not threaten. Instead it explained the imminent annihilation of entire civilisation as if it were an obvious act. Like cleaning a room, or fixing a broken machine. "Each of you are powerful entities from your respective universes. As such you have been given this time to decide. Either aid the Necron Empire, and ultimately your own universe, by easing the transition. Or you may choose to incite a war, forcing me to utilise force in this transition."

"From this moment, you have 36 hours until I will be allowed to mobilise my forces. The Council will provide each of you with personal transport devices in order to enable your return to your own dimension, as well as the ability to visit other dimensions. You are free to spend your time as you wish. If you have any further questions direct them either to the InfoSphere or to myself. Refreshements will be provided in the adjoining rooms." With this said the ancient monarch turned and took his place on a granite throne, adorned with strange Necron runes. Here he would remain for 36 hours exactly, until he set entire worlds ablaze.
