I had no idea there's a rule against posting Discord quotes on the forum. Can I get a source for that?

It's Dynamo rules, not Guild rules.

One or two of the mods mentioned it, before, cant remember which ones. Its not a site rule, its more of a thread rule specific to this one. That we dont drag any 'drama related stuff from discord' I told Andy off for it when he was trying to talk about someones discord ban, so im just trying to be consistent.

For those wondering, yes, indeed you will receive your tax reform and likely reduction in taxes this next coming year and its tax season. The last I had checked on it, eight out of ten Americans will see a reduction in their taxes, with the other two seeing either a negligible increase or an actual increase. The increases appear to correlate to citizens who live in high state and local tax states, California and New York being the well known examples, but I cannot say if that is universally true or if the rough ratio will be eight to ten or whatnot.

Regardless, the bill was authorized and signed into effect by the President of the United States today. The President then spoke on it some after he signed a few other documents, which included those that focused on improved missile defenses.

"Under the new tax law, individual rates will be lowered, but those cuts are set to expire in 2025. The standard deduction, which will almost double, is likely to become more popular. The tax credit for children will also double, which Republicans have said will benefit lower-income families."

@catchamber That's unfortunate, but it's still individual tax cuts five years longer than the others presidents. Bush never signed a law like this into office. And really this evil corporation thing really needs to be put into question, who screws over people, jails you for hate speech outside the united states, starts war and ste-taxes you under penalty of law? Five Guys? Best Buy? Your local mom and pop store? Or the government? People really need to pick their battles...

I swear some of these people are going stages of death of their narrative, but without acceptance anywhere in sight. First it was, this will actively kill 9 million tiny tim's. Then it was, it only helps big rich people, who can feed families for 3,000 dollars anyway? (The quote is facetious) Now it's everything isn't like that, it cuts everyone's bill and there's some nice deductions for everyone. BUT-there's a 5 year limit. And this random dude is too blame, so don't vote for this guy. Because it wasn't Trump's but another republican's decision to change the bill.

Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch.

Not as juicy as a story if it can't tie into Trump though.

And because of the tax bill, helping those greedy corporations for no benefit to the common-oh wait, some have already raised their minimum wage and gave bonuses to employees...it's a small start, but I'd bet it's not the only bit of it we will see.

cnbc.com/2017/12/20/this-is-just-the-…

So no, that's not the best news. Trump can't make every republican elected to bow to his whim. Obama tried his damnedest to have everyone bow to his whim, and it didn't work for him either.

@catchamber It does benefit everyone. And while I agree, it's still a victory.

The first article is solely a guy whose the fucking head of a bottled water company, just saying a bogus claim about we'll run out of fresh water before oil. Hahahaha. Yeah, no. The bottle water industry is one that can die off and I'd feel no guilt.

The 2nd article is about the UN...did I miss something here? The UN is useless and outright sucks (and is a government creation.) And technology and innovation has made our water cleaner than ever.

The idea we're running out of water (especially due to anyone particular person or corporation to blame) is absurd.

@catchamber Aw...but blackjack is fun. ;_;

I guess if the first link was an argument for some dicks existing in corporations, I wouldn't have ever disagreed to that. But as useless as the water bottle industry is...is it evil? Can it really compete with government jailing, killing and otherwise?

The UN, really hasn't been useful for quite a while now. I mean recently they just had an immature pissing contest against Trump. When back in 1999, it was a 300 "for" vote for the exact same thing. I'm quite skeptical of how useful the trillions of dollars it's costed to keep the UN afloat and what's it's given the united states in return. Also that we evil Americans, are also footing the bill.

@catchamber I suppose it's possible because corruption is everywhere, but unlike governments the people can't just stop going to them and have the fools go bankrupt. But I disagree that there isn't evil in this world. There's definitely evil in this world.

And I'm really not, they've not been particularly helpful to the united states. And I'm not the only one that thinks so.

I might have gotten the numbers mixed up, with the UN climate accord deals. It's only "half a trillion" of cost according to "The Guardian" where even they admit it's bloated and very expensive.

(Top link regarding the 100 trillion it would of cost.)

@catchamber If people stop interacting with governments they get shot or jailed. But we've already got into this discussion so I have a feeling we both know each other's position already.

As for providing instances for the UN's incompetence and doing things that don't help anyone. I can literally go back to the very last thing they have been in the news for doing, which was the pissing contest with Trump. Or the Paris Climate Accord which would have screwed over the United States primarily. And they're also in my articles. The quora article has plenty of information on that. The things I can't find, are recent examples of them being useful...(or any instance it wasn't primarily America's doing.)
