Lexi found herself smiling at the excited boy, his energy practically tangible. Her eyes flickered to the ‘beautiful’ drawing of a… tiger? Yeah, tiger, that he’d drawn. At the word ‘muffin’ she was unable to stop the small snort from escaping. Honestly, it was precious.

“It’s truly a marvel. Beautiful. Truly.” She added a teasing smile and wink, showing more of her playful nature.

Eyes following ‘cupcakes’’ eyes, her head tilted lightly to the side. Hmm, we always need a paranoid one. Oh, dear sir… looks like it’s you this time, eh?

Roxy followed the others to the room at the end of the road. The room at the end of the hall was larger than the others she had passed. It was set up like an auditorium. There was row after row of seats. In the front of the room was a large white board. Right in front of the whiteboard was a large white table. The table was filled with food. Plates filled with all kinds of food. There was sodas and other beverages. Her stomach grumble. She stumbled out of the shadows. She hadn't eaten in awhile. Apparently the offer of food was enough to cause her to lose her grip on the shadows.

Collin laughed and bowed.

"Hot damn, a compliment! I thought it would take at least a week to get one of those." Collin exclaimed.

As he finished his sentence, a girl seemingly appeared from nowhere. Her sudden manifestation caused Collin to jump. She was wobbling as she walked and had here eyes focused on the spread of food in front of the white board. He backed away from the spread of food, cautious of this mystery girl.

"Hey, uh," Collin began, a tinge of nervousness in his voice. "Pretty sure food is free and all,
but how exactly did you get here? You kinda just... spawned..."

Jarek was starting to loose interest in the 'tiger' as well as the conversation in the room. Though his attention snapped back as a girl appeared from out of the shadows. Now there's something you don't see every day... She pretty cute too. Jarek leaned forward to grab a pop and took a drink. "When is this gonna get started anyway?" He said to no one in particular.

"Just go straight down the hall. There's a conference room at the end. We will talk there."
Relaxing her grip on her suitcase, Angelica walked down the hall as instructed. She couldn't help but peek into the different rooms on her way. Yep, it was a certainly a laboratory or a medicine school of some sort.

Once she arrived she arrived at the conference room, the ruby haired teen sat down on a random chair. Slipping her hand into the suitcase, she retrieved a pen and a notebook. Ignoring everyone around her, she carried on with her story draft she began a week ago.

Roxy glanced at the guy who spoke to her. She studied him cautiously before looking back at the table. As much as she wanted to help herself to the food there it was too dangerous. There was no way of know if the food was drugged or what the price of eating the food would be. It wasn't a chance that she was willing to take. "Nothing is free. And I came from the shadows. I was walking in them until I fell out." She answered honestly although she had been tempted to keep that information to herself.

"Help yourself to the food. We will be here for awhile here for awhile. I will tell you about the gems and my knowledge of them. First my name is Gem. I called you here because you received the gems. Once you got your gem I know who you were, where you were, and which gem you received. There are others but they either aren't here or haven't gotten their letters yet." The older man explained.

Zahra stumbled into the building described in the odd email. She couldn't see anything. And then she realized what it was. She didn't have her glasses on. Silly Zhara, she thought to herself. Then, she put her glasses on. Now she could see. She heard voices so she barged into the room where the noise was coming from. "-haven't gotten thier letters yet." The door crashed open. Everyone was staring at an old man who looked like an Einstien impersonator, and there was an odd drawing of a tiger on the whiteboard behind him. "Oh-er-uh- hi," said Zahra nervously, while she was blushing furiously. She took a seat in one of the chairs.

Jarek raised an eyebrow when the girl explained her shadow ability and thought about how he could relate with his dark powers. He looked at the food as Einstein offered the food, which Jarek sure as hell want going to be the guinea pig for. He would wait and see how the others react to it.
Jareks thoughts were interrupted as a blushing girl with glasses barged in and took a seat with what looked like a hint of embarassment. Sure are a lot of ladies showing up... Can't complain I guess, better than a sausage fest. He thought to himself.

Gulp, Zahra thought as at least one pair of eyes settled on her."I'm Zahra," she said with as much cofidence as she could muster. She picked up a slice of pizza and sunk her mind into it. No poison. Zahra took a bite."The pizza's good. Thank you, Mr. Einstein."

"Gem, huh?" Collin chuckled. "Seems like your parents already knew what you were going to grow up to be."

Collin strolled over to the food table and grabbed a slice of pizza, waving to stuttering girl who just joined them.

"Heya. I'm cupcake, and that's muffin over there." Collin said, gesturing over to the girl he only knew as muffin. "But you're name's Zhara? That' won't due. Only people named after pastries are allowed. I'm gonna hafta ask you to leave."

Jarek directed his attention to Zhara. "Don't mind him. Seems he has elected himself as class clown. I'm Jarek by the way." He kept his voice low and calming, trying to be the friendly one so that Zhara might not be so nervous.

Roxy ignored the invitation to help herself to the food. She moved as far from the food as she could. Nothing was free. There was a price attached. Until she knew what it was she wasn't touching anything. This situation was too unpredictable. There was no telling what this odd old man was capable of. He seemed to have more information than anyone here which made here which made her wonder how he knew so much.

"I am the guardian of the gems. It is my job to guide you. You were chosen because something about you matches the gem you received. The gems have many powers. Most you haven't discovered yet. These powers come with great responsible. Unfortunately once you have been chosen there is no going back to the live you once had." Gem told them. He studied them. There reactions to each other would tell him how they would work together.

Sven said with a strangly comfortable voice.

Lobo had finally arrived at the address given by the email after many hitchhiking rides and a few vehicles 'borrowed' from their owners, he grunts in annoyance at the building's modern architecture being more fire-safe than he was used to. No matter. They will soon learn what happens if I am to be trifled with.

The tanned teen makes his way into the building, duffel bag slung over his shoulder, eventually he came across the doors to the conference room. With a flame flickering from his lighter in one hand he pushes open the doors with a newly-formed fireball in the other, "Okay you cabróns I'm here for what I was offered. Hand it over. Now."

Unable to focus, Angelica put away her notebook into the suitcase.She thought that this whole gem thing was a prank, but the Gem guy didn't sound like he was joking. " The only thing offered was the information about the gems that have appeared on our body- and the fire suggests that you have one too-and their functions." she stated after the man with a fireball burst in. Her voice was monotone-like a narrator's. She grabbed a glass of water and took a sip.She didn't feel any form of liquid in her mouth. The ruby haired girl continued to hold the glass in her hand.

" So, Gem, I have a question, could these stones cause hallucinations or something along these lines?" Angelica asked due to random things and beings appearing around her recently. That's when the glass disappeared but she took no notice.

"Thank you for the explanation of his ridiculous behavior, uh-Jarek" Zahra said, beginning to calm down at long last. She took a deep breath. Some other kid was rattling on about something, but she caught 'four eyes',and 'Oh, and is the pizza poisonous?' Zahra turned to him

"What have I already said," Zahra said, exasperated, as a bit of her nervousness began to fade. "The pizza's not poisoned. And please don't call me 'four eyes'."

"Clearly we were offered something else on top of information about the gems," the pyrokinetic growaled at the redheaded girl in response. He picks Gem out of the people present in the auditorium, an elderly among mostly teens, "Old man. Did you send me the email?" Lobo emphasises the urgency of his question as he points the fireball on hand towards him.
