Honestly thinking of Fallout NV Vegas as just some mailman trying to deliver the mail and in the process upturning everything is kind of funny.

@lavulmanHahahah. God I loved Boone. He was such a grumpy son of a bitch but so much fun to have around, especially when killing the Legion. I loved playing with the infinite companions mod and backpacking across the wastes with all the companions, Veronica, Boone, Rex, ED-E, Nightkin Grandma, Mexican Gunslinger Ghoul, Gannon, and Cass.

Imagining their interactions despite not really being compatible with one another was a lot of fun.

Kerrigan hears unguarded thoughts, I'm assuming once everyone knows that she's going to be unable to, which is why I thought it was okay to add it... but uh... I didn't expect a character with ulterior motives to show up late and start thinking about how he's going to manipulate everyone... I don't know how to write my post now .-.

So, one thing I'm curious about - I'm open to suggestion on either front, but I'm assuming that the Batter is immune to Telepathy and other mental powers? Only on the basis that he's pretty expressly in-universe a kind of 'Embodiment of Nothing' who only sort of resembles a human being.

Since it never comes up in universe I'm fine with it if y'all want him to be vulnerable to psychic abilities like mind-reading and what have you, but personally I think he shouldn't be.

@Eventua I don't think The Batter would be immune to telepathy. After all it's not like he doesn't have thoughts. However I believe his thoughts are so twisted, so eldritch in nature that anyone trying to read his mind wouldn't be able to really comprehend them. And if they did perchance understand what they saw they'd likely just go insane/lose a great deal of sanity from the horrifying glimpse they got into The Batter's mind.

He would likely be immune to abilities like Mind Control or attacks directed at warping his perception of things. The Batter will likely always see the world he is in as needing to be purified and will always seek to purify things. No external force of will of any kind, however great, is likely to be able to change that given what we saw in OFF.

That said The Batter is still vulnerable to offensive and certain status dealing PSI attacks.

It's funny you brought that up because I honestly considered The Batter's resistance/immunity to certain psionic powers.

The are various ailments, afflictions, status effects, and such that Player Characters can get depending on their actions and the situations/enemies they are involved with. However I try to take every character into consideration and regardless of their sheet work to understand what might and might not effect them as much.

I think that'd be a pretty reasonable assumption for her to make. Even with her diminished powers Kerrigan could probably easily sense there is something inherently warped, and wrong with The Batter's mind.

Also don't fret about the post. As long as it gets done eventually then delays are understandable. Just remember to relax and enjoy yourself.

I'm almost tempted to just do a one paragraph post in the IC, and it's just Tam tearing off his heavy-af Winterhold snow gear while his soul is utterly fails to process that any part of the world could be this hot.

I'm really excited about this development for some reason. Maybe it's the idea of one of the leader-types of our group running for mayor of AnimalCrossing-ville. Maybe it's the idea of John being horrendously uncomfortable with the idea of talking to animals he skins for a living. Maybe it's the idea of the HRA judging the interior design choices of 2Fort.

On further thought, there are a lot of reasons why this idea appeals to me.
