Brief Biography:
Alexis Fortuna was born into a harsh world since birth. Born to a hooker and a client, the first thing she learned before she could even speak was to hide while "mommy" had a client.
At the age of 14, she was put to work like her mother but when her first client came he hit her again and again to prove his "manliness" and while she was taught not to do anything, Alexis's temper got the better of her and she lashed out at the client almost killing him by accidentally throwing him over the window. Her mother found out about it and knew that Alexis was good as dead and so, gave her whatever money she had saved and sent her away to America in the hopes that she'll be able to make a life for herself there.

At the age of 20, Alexis, lived a normal life in America but something in her kept her restless. She wanted to explore and feel alive and so, at a friend's advice, she joined the US Army. She made 3 tours in the baddest places in the world and she quit the job because...as she said it to someone "there were not enough money to be made and being drilled by an idiot that was more lucky than you, didn't fit with me". She instead took her years of combat into private contract. Becoming a mercenary for hire.

She was 23 when her powers awakened. While on a mission with a few unknown mercenaries, they got right into an ambush. Their Humvee was hit by rocket and then everything went black. When she awoke she was being dragged out of the Humvee by one of the other mercenaries that managed to survive the blast. A bullet passed through his chest the moment Alexis struggled to get on her feet and then another was just about to hit her when suddenly and without any warning, her skin changed colors and went became harder and harder until when the bullet hit it simply bounced off her.
Alexis was amazed and took cover while a few other bullets hit her without piercing the skin but she was defenseless, no weapon meant no way for her to kill the enemy. She didn't knew how strong her skin was and didn't wanted to test it, so instead she decided to play dead until someone came over to check on the bodies. It worked, the moment she could see someone she tackled him and threw his weapon out of his hands. She then proceeded to punch the guy in the face when another enemy jumped on her and tried to choke her. Alexis's body immediately replied by impaling the poor guy using spikes that went out her skin.
Eventually she escaped and another year passed until, while trying to find out more and more about her powers, all while trying to understand and control them she found out about the Academy and decided to apply.

Powers and Abilities

Genetic Shift : Alexis adjust her body to her needs, by rewriting her DNA as she sees fit. Changing her fingers into claws or her skin into something akin to body armor is something that Alexis does on a daily basis. She can change every single body part that she wants but she can never change her whole body. She can change her arms into big claws and make her skin akin to body armor but cannot change her whole body (shapeshifting is impossible in other words). She can also use this power to elongate her teeth, 'thus making them razor sharp or change her eyes to see in the dark. The only problem with her mutations is that she cannot keep altering her DNA again and again, she either has to stick with some mutations she chooses for some time or risk her DNA to collapse. Changing skin color, hair color, eye color and minor modifications are easily done and these are the first things she learned to do.
