[IC] The Room

*The purple flashes keep going, and dark clouds center in a certain part of the forest.*

*Jillian keeps smoking her cigarette in the kitchen, and sighs at her boredom.*

[Overlord Thraka]

*The path chosen by Karma leads down, down, down, several winding flights of carved stone steps. The air grows colder and colder until Karma would be able to see her own breath. The lights are fewer and farther between. At the bottom of the stairs is a large room with a number of cells set against the walls all around. Only two of the cells have occupants. One, a rather large looking rat, and other other the crumpled form of Mergoux. She's been stripped and chained, not to the wall, but to the bars of the cage, to prevent her from hiding in the corners and out of reach. She's been badly beaten, her body covered in bruises. gashes and burns from what the WereTigers have done to her. Some of her tattoos are almost invisible against the dark bruising covering much of her legs and her face is barely recognizable, nose broken, both eyes blackened and a long gash down the right side of her face*
*She lies in the cell, breathing shallowly and obviously unconscious*

*Iris stands in the doorway, utterly in shock before she screams*
Iris: HANNA! NOOOOO!!!
*She races to Hanna's side, and with her new claws, slices the crude rope holding her up. She pulls her down and lays her on the bed, hot tears streaming from her eyes*
Iris: No baby please don't do this... Please..
*She starts preforming CPR, trying to bring Hanna back*

*Horus sighs*
Horus: Iris is my wife, she had some... troubles... She's resting now but I should go and tend to her soon

*Hanna is unresponsive, her skin is very pale and she has no pulse*

*The massive insect reaches the room and looks in through one of the windows*

*It's jaws chatter and its antenna twitch, it then moves away from the window and towards the front door*

*Lecter stumbles after where Karma went. Although no longer mortally wounded, the Devil Hunter is still in bad shape*
Lecter: That old bird will be fine...
*The Devil Hunter knows it'll be a long time before he catches up to Karma, but presses on regardless*

*Karma embraces the cold, taking comfort in it*
*She notices Mergoux and slashes her bindings to free her*
We are leaving, mortal.
*It actually pains Karma to say 'we'*

[Overlord Thraka]

*Iris keeps trying to revive Hanna for over 10 minutes before breaking down completely and sobbing heartbrokenly next to the bed*
Iris: Why Hanna....?! Why?!

*Mergoux doesn't respond, again, unconscious*

*The insect starts to scratch on the door trying to get in*

*The chattering of its jaws can be heard from behind the door*

*Furia grabs a crossbow and hands it to Nonac as he grimaces at pain but loads a bolt and winds it back*

That not sound good...
I think we have unwelcome guest.

*Furia looks over and nods loading a second and looks round'
Da, door not hold long if attack.

*both set aim near door hearing a clawing and chattering relising it cannot be something exactly likely friendly *

*Karma just rips through the cage, and conjures up smoke to lift Mergoux, similar to what she did with Iris*
*The familiar then turns and heads back towards the room she killed Togan and Taboo in*

[Overlord Thraka]

*In the main room, there are now about a dozen slave girls of various races and ethnic backgrounds. A Wood Elf woman steps towards Karma as she enters the room then pauses and gasps at the sight of Mergoux*
Wood Elf: M'lady! M'lady! We need to thank- Is that... her? The Butcher?
*The other former slaves press forwards, some cautious, others afraid, but most curious*

*The scratching on the door is eventually replaced with a hard knocking*

*The insect's chattering has gotten a little quieter*

*Hanna's body grows cold in Iris's arms*

*Furia looks over at Jillian and any other present *

I open door... Be ready for whatever comes through.

*Nonac nods and keeps weapon ready at side*
Da, ready. Be as it may...

*Furia kinda heads over very carefully and nudges door so will open of pushed and then vacks off a safe distence*

Crom wills it... Be as it is...

*Karma stops to examine the Wood Elf, and tilts her head slightly*
She was butchered today, not her enemy.
*Karma appreciates the politeness the elf gives her, not that she shows it*

*The giant insect watches the door open*

*It makes a few clicking sounds then tilts its head*

[Overlord Thraka]

*The Wood Elf nods*
Wood Elf: Yes... She needs healing... But we've no supplies to do that here... Where are you taking her?
*The other Slaves look at Karma in mild awe*
Slave1: You freed us...
Slave2: Like before!
Slave3: Quick! We must be off! We must find safety!
Slave4: There is no safety from him! I'm staying here, so that I don't suffer like she did.
*The 4th slave points to Mergoux with a finger trembling in fear*

*Iris weeps, heartbroken over Hanna's death*
*She holds Hanna tightly to her, sobbing openly*

[PrinceAlexus]

*Furia has left door ajar so it can push in but backed off out of mellee range immediately *

*Keeps crossbow in hand and looks concentrating on whatever behind the door*

*Nonac*
Whatever ye are, show yourself..
Who are you. Show your face.

*Nonac and Furia are stood back a good 20 feet from door*

*Karma stares at the slaves*
I am taking her to her home. I suggest you run, far from here. But if fear makes you stay, then become cattle. I will not return, unless it is to feast upon Tiaz's heart.

*The insect pushes the door open and looks around inside*

*It looks at Furia and Nonac*

Insect: Ahhh ssso you are English ssspeakers...

*It doesn't sound pleased by this*

*Furia rather suprisrd by a talking insect*

It is the understood tongue of most here..
*switches to native northern language*
This one seems only known to the northern lands.

*Nonac shakes head at a giant talking insect, as pretty freaky*

*The Wood Elf glares at the cowardly woman*
Wood Elf: Stay then! See how he rewards you for your loyalty!
*She looks at the others then back at Karma*
Wood Elf: I wish you luck with him, but even you I doubt would be able to end him. He is a Shaman, and a deadly one at that. Farewell, and keep The Butcher safe, she deserves to live.
*She and most of the others run for the door, but just as they reach the entrance, a rune glows around the arching doorway
Wood Elf: Oh Hellfire! The arch seal!
*The arch detonates in a firey explosion as one or two of the faster slaves are able to dive out of the way of the brunt of it. Gore sprays as the others obliterated and the 3 slaves who chose to stay scream in terror and cower behind whatever cover they can find*
*As the dust settles it's shown that the entrance is blocked by tons of rubble, having buried the bodies of the slain. The wood Elf lies with one leg trapped under the rubble and a dark elf woman lies dying next to her, the explosion having blown open her chest*

*Karma hadn't flinched at the explosion, and moves towards the dying woman*
I saved you from Tiaz. I can save you from suffering.
*With one swipe, the girl's spinal cord is severed, ending any feeling from below her neck*
*Karma then turns to the elf and tilts her head*
