I find it unusual that a situation (the augmented rebels) most likely handled best by Intelligence students, yet there are none at the scene. Pressumably Intelligence division trains them in infiltration and deception.

It's instead being handled by two warfare soldiers and one healer. o_O!

If I were the commander I'd be spamming Lisabet's and Roland's whatsapps right now! 😥

Maria is short in stature but does not fail to catch the eye of observers. She moves with the confidence of someone who has survived their worst nightmare, and with the beauty and grace of a dancer, but not with a cockiness that might lead people to dislike her. She is certainly beautiful, most everyone would agree. She tends to wear her dark medium length hair up in a pony tail, per military regulations, her gray-green eyes tend to draw you in and captivate you for a moment longer than you intended to look. Her Right arm from the elbow down is prosthetic. The outer surface of the limb is matte black with the slightest traces of stainless steel inside the joint plates, there are also a few indicators on the arm to show status and energy levels of the limb and equipment on board. Maria is quiet and generally keeps things simple, liking not to drag others into her affairs as much as possible. So some people will find her cold. Most other people will simply acknowledge she exists without much of a second thought. She always has on a heavy utility belt around her slender waist and a satchel thrown over the shoulder, both loaded down with various tools, equipment, and gadgets.

Maria believes that the battle against Janova is a holy war that is required. Due to the united military's effort in this endeavor, Maria is willing to put the State above all else. The military is absolute in authority in her life and will do what ever it takes in order to complete her mission. Despite her outward appearance of confidence and grace, she has a deep self-loathing due to her stigma. But her mission isn't over yet, so she perseveres and will continue to fight until her last breath. Maria does not like most members of the intelligence division, she finds that most of them are liars and deceivers out to gain for themselves, placing themselves before the state. Though she tries not to let this interfere with field work and missions, she will not willingly associate with the intelligence community.

Maria is a mech pilot, putting her short stature to good use fitting into the cramped cockpits of these units. Her mech, which she calls Oscar, is designed for variable load outs and also intended to carry cargo, whether that is gear for her comrades or gadgets to help her finish the mission. This allows her to play both a support role and a more active assault role when in combat.

Both in Oscar and in hand to hand combat, she is excellent at improvised and thrown weapons which keeps her opponents guessing as to what is coming next.

Maria is making the best of a situation and has her prosthetic arm loaded out with additional tech beyond something to open doors with. She has sensors on board that allows her to scan for signs of life in the vicinity, allowing her to locate enemies that may be hidden from view. The outside of the forearm is armor plated, allowing her to use it as a shield in the event that she is caught off guard and someone gets that close to her. She has a high-output electric shock on board that allows her to stun most opponents with a simple touch, though the dedicated battery only holds enough power for a single use. She also has diagnostic tools installed to assist in machine repair and maintenance.

A J A X - Ajax and Maria go back a ways as on again, off again, romantic partners. So there is always this deep friendship between them, and just a little bit of sexual tension. Things are usually amicable between the two, and neither are ever sure why they can't seem to make it work out.

O S C A R - Custom made bi-pedal warframe with variable load outs depending on the mission needs.

For a little background information, that I couldn't really figure out how to put into the profile formatting, but would be available for anybody to know if they looked Maria up: Her aptitude tests were extremely high, so she initially entered intelligence division so that she could be trained to be a standalone soldier for infill and extract missions. However, she quickly found that she did not much like the subterfuge of the division and their innate selfishness that she experienced with most members of the division. From there she went to Warfare division where she met Ajax and worked to complete her training. On a training mission, things went wrong and she gained a stigma, losing all of her spirits and her right arm. After some time, and a few petitions to the school, she was allowed to stay on at Oakridge academy and moved yet again to the navigators acting in the role of engineer where her aptitude was certainly best applied.

Question. The concept I have for Spectre is this:

In his younger years, Spectre was in the Warfare division, but was constantly picked on by the "manlier" guys because of his feminine appearance and soft tone-of-voice. So, he covers most of his body and becomes mute-by-choice. Though his nature is not the mysterious-silent-type. Actually quite the opposite. I would place him on the side of comic-relief. Though, being that most of his features will be covered and he is mute, he relies heavily on gestures and his phone to communicate with others.

Would this be an acceptable character for play?

I think so. We can always try it and see how it goes. You'll probably have to write quite a bit when explaining these gestures when a phone/note pad can't be used.
