"Sup she's someone we found turns out we may not be the only humans around. Also mosshead you should probably guard the younger Digimon, as you are now you have the same usefulness as just a kid. Heck the new girl is probably more useful than you."

Robert could never get enough of making fun of Phase, though this would be for the best if he was going to go down after one attack that means he's in more danger than even the in-trainings. After all they are not going to care about a weaker level Digimon, but a human? That was a different story. Robert looked at the firewall of the base and from what Wolfy said this seemed fishy. Though he had to note the irony since his plans of finding the origin of the decode rings involved firewalls as well. Robert looked out at the others.

"So, anyone else want to stay behind?"

Doru was facing towards the base, he had to note the flaredramon's bravery or stupidity, it was probably the latter, as while they may not get the BDS's wrath they may attract the wrath of Tactimon for wasting the army's resources for no good reason other than spite. To be honest between the two he would have taken the former any day. Though he was fighting against Tactimon now, so he'll probably incur both, so maybe they were the biggest idiots, but looking at his partner... of course they were the biggest idiots, but he doesn't care. Doru spoke up.

"Shouldn't we be filling, moss- I mean Phase on what we're doing?"

"Geez, Did you have to say it like that? The name is Nami and I can stay behind and help if you guys want me to." She said to Phase and placed her hand on her hips." I won't mind babysitting and if anything comes, Hawkmon and I can deal with it." Hawkmon nodded and have them the peace sign. "Yep, I have enough energy to fight if we have to..by the way i was thinking. ' Hawkmon paused and shook his head. "Hum...nevermind. "

Danny wondered if he should offer to stay behind to let Hirschmon rest, but he thought that if he did his partner might end up feeling useless again. On the other hand spending time with the Rookies could alleviate his guilt over Minomon somewhat. Before he could reach a conclusion however Nami offered to help Phase babysit.

"Great, let's go." Not wanting his friends to worry about him Hirschmon did his best to sound somewhat but not overly cheerful, however it still came across as slightly forced. "Well, if you think you're up for it."

Thirty minutes, that's really all it took for the dragon army to attack the base of beasts. The scenery changes from a quiet noon day with a clear sky to the sound of fireballs flying through the air and roars from both sides shaking the earth. On one side stood a couple dozen dragons, almost all of them were the same species as the fire dragons they followed here except one digimon that took the shape of a humanoid dragon digimon, his skin was black with small red wings. He stood in the back of the small army yelling commands and such as the lizards advanced.

On the defending side stood Sagittarimon atop the walls of the fort with an army of his own on the ground level.. These digimon took the shape of what should be gentle animals, sheep and moose. But the digimon themselves were not as gentle. They stared down the fiery lizards as if they were equals.

Long range attacks fired from both sides, most digimon getting hit square in the face, others dodging, but one thing was clear to the commander of the Dragon digimon and that was that the wall was not going to get destroyed any time soon.

“Guess nows our chance.” Kiba said as he saw the last of the beast digimon exit the building. “Lets go go go!!!” He said as he, Danny, and Robert plus their partners charged forward into the fort. The other two sitting back.

As the three entered the room they come across what looked like a glass table, electrical wires running through it. "Wonder what this does." Kiba said as he approached a panel to the side of it and flipping a couple switches.

"Idiot don't touch tha-" Wolfy was then cut off by a hologram appearing above the table. "This is a ..."

Kiba chuckled. "It's a map." He said as he examined it. "So we aaare, here?" He said as he pointed to what looked like an enterance all the way to the right. "Over here looks like a computer room." He said as he pointed to a room down the hall.

Wolfy then pointed to under them. "Down here looks like a dungeon. If there are any captured digimon here we need to save them." He said.

Kiba nodded to Gabumons plan before raising an eyebrow. At the top of the map looked like a room, but it looked like it was blocked off, away from the rest of the facilities. "Hey Wolfy, whats that?" He asked

"Who cares, we have bigger things to deal with."

"But what if THAT is where something important is." Kibas said as he looked for a path. He then looked to his companions, "Theres three paths and three of us. Me and Wolfy will go up. Robert, you and your partner head to the computer room and get as much info as you can. Danny, You guys go down and free some innocent digimon." He said as he charged forwards towards the stairs, Wolfy chasing him in anger at his partners rashness.

"Goddammit Kiba!!!"

As the two other pairs stayed outside, a blast sends one of the Moose like digimon and dark lizard digimon towards the other side of the battlefield. "I'll kill you, you lizard scum!!!!"

"Bring it on Antler head!!" They both taunted each other, Both standing in the open field between our protaganists and the fort. "Wait, whats that smell?" The Dark Lizarmon said as he raised his head before looking in the direction of our Protaganists.

"Yes, I smell it to. The smell of fresh meat." The Moosemon said as he also looked in the same direction. "How bought I finish you off after I deal with this ... snack."

"Haha, not if I eat them first." The Dark Lizarmon said as he jumped towards them.

Robert sighed as Kiba ran off. He should have seen this coming Kiba was always in his own little world. To others this place should have set off some alarm bells in their mind and a sealed off area would have had the greatest amount of security, as well as whatever was in it, it usually was some sort of nasty monster, like an alien or a demon or a psycho with a chainsaw... he watched way too much horror movies. The base rumbled as he was reminded that they did have time to do their respective jobs. Robert told Danny.

"Finish checking out the dungeon quickly and we'll meet up back here then go to help out Kiba."

With that Robert and Doru ran off to get to the computer room luckily for them most of the Digimon left to go help out with the battle raging outside, they were able to get to a large room right before the computer room. The room had nothing else besides the large wooden doors leading to the computer room. Doru's ears perked up and in the next moment Doru pushed Robert to the left as a gash appeared across Doru's back and Robert would feel a tingle as it appeared.

"What the heck?"

Their mysterious enemy showed itself, it looked like a an alligator standing on it's hindlegs, it was covered in black military like armor with two wing like appendages ending with knife blades with it's tail also ending with with a blade. It had a visor over its eyes with mismatching lens, with the smaller one glowing red and a larger white one. In it's hand it held a survival knife and it looked like it could use it.



"Doru."

Doru looked at Robert before nodding.

"Well then, time to put on a few pounds?"

Robert grinned and put up his digivice.

"Walk all over him. Digivolve, Doru!"

When Robert told him to finish things in the dungeon quickly Danny agreed, ut he wordlessly decided to stop and fight every Digimon working for Gravimon that saw them, to decrease the chance of any high ranking member of the BDS learning about the humans. After quickly memorizing the path to the dungeon he and Hirschmon took off. The pair got decently far, by pure luck, without being spotted.

"Halt intruders!" Since the Digimon looked like a bipedal Calico cat and was smaller than Hirschmon they both though it was a Rookie. "You better deal with him before he sounds the alarm or anything."

Hirschmon agreed and underestimating Mikemon went for his only mêlee attack. "Right. Deer Leg!" Surprisinlgy the cat like Digimon easily dodged the powerful kick and went on the offensive itself. "Paw Punch!" The attack packed quite a punch and easily pushed a blocking Hirschmon backwards a few feet, while also causing him to start leaking code. "Disappointing. I was gonna absorb your Core but if you're that weak, I might just let one of the weaker Digimon here finish you off and let them have grow stronger."

Phase sat against the a slim, dark tree. Its leaves were verdant but shaded a grim color in the darkness. Gilt staid nearby, watching over the little ones as if order by Phase, albeit silently. The truth was that the pair was just sitting in a odd tension. Neither knew what to say but the both of them had a weight on their chests.

Phase pulled his knees up, his arms on the kneecaps as he stared at Nami. There was hardly a reason why, except perhaps to escape the situation with Gilt, but he spoke up to her.

"Try not to get in my way," he told her, standing up and not really needing any answers.

His posture grew tight with his pain but he managed it. "Can you fight?" he asked.

Then a furious blow rocked the earth, spreading dirt and chaos. Phase moved near instinctively in front of Nami and Hawkmon, his arm shielding his face as he did. Gilt appeared next to him, ready to fight. "Get the kids...Get the kids out of here!" he barked through gritted teeth at Nami. "Go, Gilt!"

Gilt forged forth, golden claws catching the Digimon's antlers as it pushed him back.

" Hey! No need to be rude.." Nami watched as Phase walked in front of her and frowned. What was he doing now? Man this boy was strange..but she finally saw what he was trying to do. There was a bother digimon that approached, seem like a enemy. With the help of Hawkmon, Nami grabbed the baby digimon. She wanted to help, but she had to make sure these little ones where alright." Are you going to be alright?"

Hawkmon thought he saw something out the corner of his eyes and blinked. Another digimon? A little one to..should he go get check out he wondered

When Mikemon was done gloating about how much more powerful he was than Hirschmon, he finally noticed Danny, having heard about humans and their ability to make Digimon Digivolve he decided to capture the boy and turn him in as a guinea pig. Completely ignoring the injured insect the Champion rushed at his new target.

Luckily Danny had taken his Digivice out after Hirschmon took the punch and managed to use it to Digivolve his partner. Less lucky was that he still took a punch from a Champion, which even though it wasn't a special attack and not delivered at full force, knocked the air out of his lungs forced him on his knees and probably damaged his ribs. In fact he nearly dropped his Digivice but since he didn't know if Käfermon would turn back to his Rookie or not if that happened he just barely managed to force himself to hold on.

Not wanting Danny to get hurt any worse Käfermon tried to come up with a way to lure Mikemon away from his partner. Ultimately the only way he could think of doing that was to create an "Earth Barrier" underneath the other Champion and then attack before Mikemon could regain his balance.

Robert realized his mistake. Doru took a quick flip barely hitting his wing on the wing, as the enemy Digimon jumped off the wall at blinding speeds and tried to stab at them once again causing Doru to dive down, in indoor areas like this a large flyer like Dorugamon was the enclosed space didn't give him enough room, however, he wouldn't be able to fight him properly if he didn't digivolve Doru. So, not the best situation to say the least especially since they didn't want to damage what was on the other side of that door.

Doru looked at the Digimon, he didn't recognize it. He didn't know if it was part of the army, there was something odd about the Digimon. Doru was knocked out of his thoughts as the Digimon attempted to strike at them, which he leaped back to dodge however the Digimon left a gash as it gazed him once again. This was getting on his nerves. He fired three cannonballs at the Digimon, though the only thing it hit was the left wall leaving a scatter of dust. Doru clicked his teeth, however, Robert spoke up.

"Doru I think I got a plan."

To which Doru responded with.

"Oh you think you got a plan?"

To which Robert responded with.

"It's either that or we keep up this game of cat and mouse."

Robert leaned over and started to detail his plan to Doru.

While neither knew it both Dorugamon and Käfermon were struggling with the same problem, though in the Insect Digimon's case it didn't help that he was up against a small target that seemed focused on targeting his partner. Not wanting to give Mikemon a chance to regain his balance Käfermon immediately fired of his next attack. "Thunder Rocket" While some of the missiles hit the earth wall most of them as well as the beam of electricity managed to hit their target.

Unfortunately it wasn't enough to defeat the Beast-type but it drew Mikemon's attention away from Danny. "Interesting. Guess I'll have to defeat you first." Since he was a close range fighter and had no intention of getting hit with missiles again he naturally rushed towards Käfermon and went for an attack he was sure the Insect didn't know about. "Cat Claw!"

Käfermon's exoskeleton was tough enough to prevent the attack from doing much damage but it soon became clear that the cat had though things through. After scratching at his opponent's face he used the horn to flip himself onto the giant bug's bug out of the reach of his missiles and arms.

From Käfermon's back, Mikemon began to directly hit him with a barrage of Cat Claws, trying to weaken the champions exoskeleton enough to let his claws sink in. "Wheres that gusto from before big guy? Huh? Huh? Just wait, once I'm through with you I'll get that pathetic meat bag of a partner." He said glancing over at Danny.

Over in the corner of the room, a cage with a humanoid digimon dressed like some sort of wizard. "Hey you, human! Yeah you! Hurry up and get me out of here!!! Do it or else you're friend'll be sashimi!!!"

The digimon in black said nothing as it charged forward. Intending on striking while the Tamer and Digimon talked. He jumped off the wall again like before, falling from directly above them with its knife ready to stab the beast dragon digimon for an assassination like kill. Intending to end this battle now rather then later.

Before either Ankh or Nami could check on the digimon however they were both interupted by the Dark Lizarmon landing in front of them and the in trainings. "Where do you think you're going little lady? I'm sure the boss would very much like to speak with you." He said to Nami before looking down at the other digimon. "As for you guys, sorry. Not interested!!!" He said as his mouth began to for a flame before shooting it out "DREAD FIRE!!!!" He yelled firing a small ball of fire, hitting Ankh square in the chest.

Moosemon was genuinely surprised by the rookies ability to keep him at bay. "Truly commendable, although how foolish of an attempt!!!" He said as he raised his antlers, raising Gilt in the process before throwing Gilt behind him. Now Gilt was alone in an open field, separated from his tamer by the Moose digimon between them. "They say don't play with your food, but I just find it much more satisfying. Now show me what you got rookie!!!" He yelled as he charged forward, trying to strike with his enormous antlers.

Robert extended a part of the wall to block the Digimon's attack to which Doru dashed back and fired a metal cannonball to which the black armored Digimon jumped off the pillar, which caused it to crash to the ground with a big thud throwing up dust everywhere. The army Digimon got back into a stance as the white haired hacker prepared to end the fight. Doru prepared his claws as the Digimon dashed at them in a zigzag pattern to dodge the purple dragon's ranged assault. The two Digimon clashed iron hard claws and teeth clashing against blade, both combatants focusing more on keeping up their guard then striking the enemy, both looking for a weakness in each other's guards and end the fight. The white haired hacker hung on for dear life while attempting to create the opening. He was trying his best to input the commands to activate specific commands he programs which he set up in the digivice at the Locomon ride, which was difficult due to constant screen shaking and loud clanging disrupting his concentration. Which was finally stopped when Doru did a quick tail swipe and then flew back to create distance. Robert wasn't going to waste this chance and finished his preparations then pulled the purple wyvern's collar fur to indicate that he was ready. This next move would end the fight.

While Käfermon's exoskeleton protected him from most of the damage done by Mikemon's claws, he knew that at this rate would he would eventually lose. Even if he was completely protected from the constant scratching, which he wasn't, he would inevitably revert back to Hirschmon.

When Danny noticed that Mikemon was behind Käfermon's boosters he knew how his partner could get the cat of his back, but he had to think of a way to tell him that wouldn't alert the enemy Digimon. "Remember how you defeated Airdramon!" It took a few seconds but Käfermon got his partner's point. "Honey Badger Storm!" Hoping that the sudden acceleration combined with the flames coming from the booster would be enough to throw his opponent literally off Käfermon dashed forward at full speed.

Ankh slid back on his feet and fell one knee." Ouch! That didn't feel to good." He saw Nami rush to his side who helped him up once she made it to him."Ankh, are you ok? Can you fight that fire thing?" She asked. Nami was scared for Ankh,fighting that big firey thing.

"Ankh huh? Strange name, but I like it. Anyway, That Dark lizardmon won't get the best of me...but I'm going to need your help." Ankh looked back his partner and smirked. Nami nodded and pulled out her red and white digivice

"Right...time to digivolve~" Nami's digivice begin to glow and watched as Ankh change into Aquliamon. "Alright Ankh, show em who's boss! "

"Right, no problem. " Aquilamon flew towards Dark lizardmon with glowing horns"Here I come!"

The army digimon dashed forward with blade in hand as AND the pure determination to end this fight here and now. As he dodged left and right his blade began to glow, emitting a low ringing sound as it vibrated in the air. “Death Behind.” He said in a whisper as he thruster forward, going for an end of the dragon.

Mikemon screamed in pain as the flames from the thrusters enveloped him, forcing him to let go and get flung to the side and crash into one of the jail cells opening it up. “Haha, nice try you little freaking bug. That trick won't work on me twi-” before the cat digimon could finish however, a hand was placed on his shoulder.

Behind him stood the previously trapped wizard looking digimon staring him dead in the face. “Why hello there.” He said in a menacing tone before a ball of electricity formed in his other hand. “Thunder Ball!!!” He yelled as he shot the ball of thunder point blank into the cats face. The second Mikemons body hit the ground an eruption of cheers came out of nowhere. Dozens of digimon who were hiding in their cages came out of their hiding places to celebrate the incapacitation of their captor.

“Hehe, now THAT was satisfying.” He said before looking at Danny and Kafermon. “You rooks did pretty well just now. Using your brains, I like that.” He began as he ran to what looked like a key rack and began looking through them. “Names Wizardmon, I got captured a while back by that overgrown fur ball.” As he said that he threw a couple keys at Danny. “We gotta get the rest of these digimon out of here. You unlock these cages, I'll get the ones in the back. You guys help them. I'll see you on the outside.” And with that he left through the back door. A grin underneath his cloak.

DarkLizarmon jumped to the side as the bird digimon a horns grazed his side. “Ah SHIT SHIT SHIT THAT HURT YOU FLYING FLUFF!!!!” He yelled as he fell onto his side. “You'll pay for that bastard!!!” He said as he fired a large volley of fireballs at the bird digimon. “I'm gonna enjoy eating you you overgrown falcon!!!!!”

Robert turned to the army Digimon and then pushed a button on his digivice causing what looked like a ball with a mouth full of zigzag teeth and exaggerated lips. While the firewall will prevent things like this from being going past it, it didn't protected it from being manifested inside. It's basically the same thing as a virus hitching a ride on another program to bypass a firewall. Well this virus was Zeta_2 and part of what he called his Zeta series made to help with infiltration, Zeta_1 was built to track people Zeta_2 on the other hand... was built to cover up other programs or in this case: A large cloud of smoke came out from Zeta_2's mouth covering the room in a inky black fog.

Losing the target meant [Death Behind] would fail as they needed to know were the behind was. Sealsdramon looked around blinded, these people were annoying him he could see a single thing, but there was one thing he could track them with, the wingbeats of Doru. He closed his eyes to focus on his sense of hearing. Quickly picking up the sounds of the winged Digimon moving to his left before nothing, he was going to land and when he does that was his chance. He waited until he heard a giant thud and then used [Death Behind] once again, the knife wielding Digimon instantly closed the distance bouncing off the wall and landing behind the enemy and then calculating the size and location of the purple wyvern he swung what was supposed to be a fatal blow only for his blade to meet the air rather than anything solid.

The confusion only lasted for a moment as the swing of the knife brought enough wind to sweep away the smoke to reveal the trickery. It revealed a dedigivolved Doru and a Robert holding up a his digivice with a microphone app. They grinned as The purple dinosaur opened his mouth. The assassin Digimon knew that this range would be extremely damaging even if Doru was now at the rookie stage, he needed to get away from the duo before Doru unleashed his attack, but it was two late as the two was already done charging their attack as if for dramatic effect both of the shouted in unison.

"[Hyper Dash Metal!]"

Sealsdramon had barely enough time to bring up his arms to defend himself from the cannonball. The attacked swept him off his feet and sent him flying back sending enough wind pressure to sweep away the smoke cloud in it's path, causing the army Digimon to crash into the back wall causing it to crack in a spider web like pattern, replacing the smoke cloud with a dust cloud instead. Robert smiled exactly as planned.

The dust cloud scattered and in it's place was a Digimon, but it didn't look like Sealsdramon. It was much smaller around the size of Doru and the rest of the rookie Digimon. It's skin was a navy blue camo pattern, it had the equipment of a standard military infantryman M16 included, however it was covered in scratches and bruises and all of it's equipment was cracked and cut open in places. The arms was the worst of the damage as they where leaking streams of red data. This was Sealsdramon's rookie form, Commandramon. The radio on Commadramon's combat vest flared to life as a feminine voice came out of it.

"Delta! Delta! You hear me what happened?"

The Commadramon now known as Delta responded back to the voice, looking at Doru and Robert cautiously, though they weren't making a move as they were more confused then anything.

"I ran to some trouble just before the target. I need you to digivolve me to Tankdramon."

Robert was shocked that meant that this Digimon had a human partner, but Doru wasn't having any of it, he couldn't let this guy digivolve further he needed to stop him. Doru got ready to pounce on the wounded Digimon, but the voice on the other side of the radio yelled out in disapproval.

"No! It's too risky in your current state, we're pulling out."

"But I-"

Delta was interrupted mid sentence by the girl who said adamantly.

"No you are getting out of there and that's final! I'm using the return program. Oh and you two, next time don't get in our way."

Before the two of them could react green code surrounded the army Digimon before disappearing and taking the Digimon with it. It would seem their adversary had gotten away. Though it did hammer in a fact that was discussed earlier. They weren't the only humans in the Digital world, it would seem their were others and not all of them were friendly. Robert sighed they weren't going to get much done if they stood around here. Robert took out a sandwich from the digivice and handed it to Doru, they might need to digivolve again, so it wasn't a bad idea to keep Doru's energy up.

"Well then time to get back to the important part."

The white haired hacker told his partner. Doru quickly snacked down on the sandwich, before licking his lips and walking towards the door side by side of the white haired hacker. They stood infront of the double metal doors of the terminal room, as Robert connected it to his digivice and hacked the doors open. As long as there wasn't anymore complications. This would be one objective complete.
