@Gordoth - Now that she mentions that how does equipment play into the rolling factor? Does what you own factor into the results of the roll? If, say for example, you owned a heavy helmet and a foe strikes you in the head would the result, even on a terrible roll for the helmet wearer, be less severe than for someone with a bare head?

Equipment doesn't really have an impact. The action you are taking is what gets rolled for.

@Gordoth Yes and no on impact, in my opinion. I mean, there's going to be a difference in wearing armor to not wearing armor. One of those will keep you alive.

@A Lowly Wretch So basically you roll only for the action and you get a number. Then, if the GM deems it appropriate they can reduce the dmg you take(cuz of armor) or whatever they choose to put in their description of what hit, connected, and what took damage....

And this brings up another question, should we add stats to our equipment? Makes it easier for you to calculate damage or whatnot and I love distributing stats. Or you are just gonna use words to describe what you feel appropriate?

Nah, no stats to armor. Just make it realistic. A leather armor set is not gonna protect as well as a plate armor set. I'll be telling you how I think things should go, according to piercing stuff or cutting stuff, influenced by the dice, but all in all we should be the ones deciding what goes on.

So, If I've got it straight, It's largely gm adjudication based plus a roll on the characters applicable stats when it comes to deciding the outcome. Armor serves to influence the decree by merit of a determination as to what would logically occur, yes?
