Nickname: Charmer (A running joke amongst her friends as she is known as being very likeable) or Tabby.

Powers: Tabitha has the ability to create various sonic effects through the combined action of her vocal cords and limited psionic powers which can only be used in conjunction with the sounds she produces. She is able to consistently produce the followings effects:

Sonic Scream - Can create a scream of up to 180 decibels which is strong enough to Shatter, destroy or throw solid objects.

Vocal Disorientation - Can cause intense dizziness, nausea, vertigo and unconsciousness in living things with a variation of her sonic scream. In order to actually render someone unconscious she has to hold the scream focused on the person for several minutes.

Sonic Shield - Can tighten sound waves around herself or others near her, making a barrier against outside attack such as energy blasts, physical projectiles etc. She can create a barrier of up to 20 feet (dome shape) The barrier does not protect against mental attacks such as telepathy.

Empathic Song - Can alternate frequencies when singing to make others feel a variety of emotions (she can make people angry,
or happy etc) she can also lull people to calm by entrancing them (she could calm and angry mob for example). She cannot control what people do whilst under this effect. A person she makes feel fear could run for example or could attack. She has to maintain this effect by singing continuously and if she is prevented from singing the effect fails.

Sonar - Can use her sonic powers as a form of sonar. By sending out a precise, pure note and listening to the returning,
altered wavefront of the note, she can evaluate her surroundings in total darkness with varying degrees of resolution.

Sonic Amplification - Can amplify sound carrier waves allowing her to hear conversations or noises from far off. She cannot communicate this way only listen and she cannot use this through objects designed to soundproof an area or room.

Sound Immunity - Her hearing and equilibrium are unaffected by the effects of her scream and similar abilities.

Vocal Stamina - Her vocal cords are tremendously strong, so that she can produce the various sounds for her abilities without
noticeably tiring or injuring her vocal apparatus. Her vocal cords and the interiors of her throat and mouth are also super-humanly tough, so that the intense pressures and constrictions that she produces do not cause her any injury. However if she were to use her sonic scream at maximum for too long she would eventually damage her vocal chords.

Tabitha's biggest disadvantage is that all of her abilities require her to be able to use her voice so anything that prevents this renders
her powerless (such as being gagged, silenced via magical means etc)
Tabitha does not have full control of her abilities and they are very much tied to her emotions and so if she is feeling heightened emotions then she can accidentally use one or more of her abilities. For example if she is frightened she might use her sonic scream or if she is ecstatic then if she were to sing she would most likely inadvertently influence others to feel the same.
Tabitha cannot use multiple abilities at once so if she were shielding and then switched to her sonic scream the shield would stop.

Skills:
Musician - Unsurprisingly Tabitha has a natural singing voice that is both beautiful and powerful. She also plays both the Piano and Violin. She also writes her own music.

Multilingual - Her mutation makes it very easy for Tabitha to understand other languagues and she is currently fluent in five
(Spanish, Russian, French, Japanese and Mandarin) and is eager to learn more.

Gymnast - Tabitha has been doing Gymnastics since she was a little kid and has always loved it. Her favorite type is the floor exercise as it combines music with Gymnastics.

Personality: Tabitha is a cheerful character with natural enthusiasm and optimism. She appears to others as if she never takes anything seriously, always joking around. She has a witty or sarcastic comment for everything and this only gets more pronounced the more stressful the situation. Contrary to what people believe this doesn't mean that she doesn't take things seriously but quite the opposite but this is her way of coping. Of course this does have a downside, her inability to keep her mouth shut has often gotten her into trouble as not everyone finds her sarcasm and dry sense of humour amusing. It doesn't help that she is blunt spoken and generally prefers not to beat around the bush or mince her words. She is not deliberately cruel or unkind but just doesn't see the point in asking a question if you don't want an honest answer. To those who call her friend however this trait is countered somewhat by her general love of life and infectious enthusiasm. Tabitha is fun to be around, as she always appears cheerful and as though nothing really gets to her, and other people often get caught up in her fun loving attitude.

Bio:Tabitha was adopted by Carl and Selena Webber who owned a popular coffee shop in town, it had long been one of the local hangouts for adults and teenagers. Tabitha fitted in with her parents as though born to them, she was particularly close to her father and they would spend many evenings together singing and playing musical instruments. Her father was also a music tutor, going to peoples houses to teach rather than teaching at school, and he taught her how to play the piano. Her father died six months ago and she was understandably devastated, she hasn't played the piano since as it reminds her too much of him. She helps out her mother in the coffee shop after school and on weekends as her struggles now that her husband is gone. The two have become much closer as a result.

Oh and I'd be happy to play Ororo Oernum as well if no one else wants to :)

@TheUnknowable I was just looking at characters so far and we seem to have more females than males. Woild you rather I take a male as my second character to even things up a bit? I'm happy to do either Ororo or a male Character.

@DC The DragonJust looking at the coffee shop names. I don't get the pun with "Nothing fYancy". The Daily Bagel might work, but sounds like it would fit in better in NYC. Maybe it's a franchise? X-Presso would fit with marvel wanting to slap an X on everything related to mutants, so if the owners were mutants, it could work.

For Nothing F-"Yancy", it refers to Yancy Street in New York City. It's pretty closely linked with the Fantastic Four.

Yeah. Everyone in town would know which kids were "Birth-day children", ie. clones that were adopted, so I don't think it could be a secret. They would probably be told as soon as they were old enough to understand that Mommy and Daddy chose to have them as a child, and that they are special, instead of Mommy having them like most kid's moms had them.

Powers: Energy absorption, manipulation and transformation. Limits are lower than Vulcan's but not fully explored yet

Skills: Physics and maths expert. Excels at mechanics and engineering. Interested in robotics and prosthetics. Basic understanding of computers and programming.

Bio: Growing up wasn't easy for Gabriel. He was always pushed by his adopted parents to be the best he could. He was driven enough himself, so the added pressure of succeeding was even greater. His father, Nicholas (Nick) Pears, was a car mechanic and the owner of the local car repair garage, Re-Pears Garages. He was a lot clever than your average mechanic, but Gabriel didn't know appreciate this until he was older. His mother, Dr. Theodora (Dora) Pears, was physicist at the Rebirth Inc. Labs and specialised in astronomy.

Gabriel lost his right hand just above his wrist when he was 14 during an accident in his father's garage one day. He refused to get a prosthetic from Rebirth Inc Labs and began doing research into his own prosthetic, which took a toll on the young man's mind. He was once quite confident and outgoing. But since his accident, he was a bit more secluded and shy.

Not long after his accident, his powers started manifesting. At first he struggled to understand what was going on, Fortunately, his analytical mind devised experiments which he performed in his shed which was attached to the back of his father's garage. He soon learned what his powers were and after further reading at home, he started to begin to understand what his powers were and how to control them.
