It was a surprisingly warm night for Nesel City this time in December. A nice balanced fifty degrees, not cold enough to snow but not warm enough to go out without a coat. No insects would chirp this time of year, and traffic was mostly clear though the streets were never fully empty yet this time of night. About half a mile from the main road that cut through to the heart of the city, past the narrow back streets and into the little sections of urban living; a small convenience store was slowing down....

The street lamp above the sign shined it's best florescent light that did little to light up the street thanks to the large Neon Sign advertising the location of the convenience store which read in big colorful letters "The Stop Shop." Within the nearly silent store, a Middle aged man inside gently mopped the green and white tiled floors; occasionally fixing products that were mixed and placed in spots they didn't belong by indecisive customers. Occasionally, he would find empty wrappers that would cause him to mumble profanities to himself before returning to his cleaning slightly more angry than before. Meanwhile on the counter, a fat, fluffy, orange cat was lying down taking a little cat nap in front of a small oscillating plug in fan, enjoying the nice quiet of the lazy evening.

The Middle Aged man was naturally the owner of this establishment, in the process of closing down the shop for the night and retiring to his armchair sanctuary in his apartment a few buildings down. Everyday he followed the exact same routine: Wake up, come to work, sell a pot and a half of coffee to a group of road workers bright and early, read the funnies, yell at the delinquents that would come into his store to snatch some snacks, stock the products, mop, and close up. Over and over, every single day. Of course he felt a little bitter, but it was his life, his way of living. Though he wished he had a little more time to catch up on his shows.

Just as the thought passed in his mind, something dark moved out of the corner of his eye causing him to jump up to attention and almost drop his mop. His reaction caused the kitty on the counter to let out a slight meow. He chalked it up to the cat moving, and got back to work in his silence. God it was so quiet. Occasionally the silence caused him to zone out into his task, to the point that he sometimes ended up mopping the same area for 3 or more minutes at a time. He really wished that he still had his radio on the counter, it always did the trick to break the quiet monotony of a slow night. But those damned teenagers that sneak in to steal snacks broke it one day as they were running out when he caught them red handed.

"Damn delinquents..." he muttered to himself before beginning to hum to himself.

He maneuvered his way over to the soft drink section of his shop, making him directly parallel to the windows that faced the street outside. After mopping around an end cap filled with various meat sticks, he heard the sound of a loud cat growling at something causing him to glance upwards. Shock took over his body as he watched a unusually tall figure lurk swiftly out of view down the left of the street as the growl turned into a sharp cry followed by a hiss. It took him a moment to collect himself, but soon his minor fear was taken over by anger. He threw down his mop and went to the front counter to fetch a wood slugger. The cat jumped down from the counter in a terrified scramble, causing the fan to fall onto the floor along with it.

Quickly the shop owner made his way into the street brandishing the wooden bat. But as he looked up and down the street, nothing was there. Nothing at all. He walked his way past the corners of his shop, checking the alleyways to confirm that there was nothing to be found.

"Yeah!" He called out with notable fear in his voice, "You stay away from my shop you hear!?"

He took three deep breaths and made his way back into the convenience store, and let out a shout as he realized that the little plug in fan was now on the floor. The Man walked to the fan in frustration, and quickly realized that it was indeed no longer functioning properly. He gave it a sharp smack, causing it for a second to start back up with a "zzzzzt" before stopping again. Again, the man gave it a sharp whack to the side, again a slight start up then instantly stopping. It didn't take long for his frustration to win him over, and he aggressively threw the fan down the bathroom hall so hard it unplugged from the wall before storming off to finish his mopping.

The job was finished in less than ten minutes, and he crowned his job complete with the classic wet floor sign. This was more habitual than anything really considering that he was about to close the shop for the night and go home. With this, he looked over his store once more. Everything in it's place, everything finished for the night, finally. But something was odd, when he glanced towards the window a light fog was clouding the glass and the street appeared to be a featureless pitch black.

This time, the man was speechless. It was almost surreal as if the store was transported to another world, but that misunderstanding was immediately cleared up as the black abyss began to shift and form with two large glowing orbs of neon blue emerging to press against the window as if peering inside. Sharp teeth began to form under the glowing eye like orbs, finally prompting the man to react with a loud shriek. Simultaneously, the creature let out shriek so loud that every window in the store shattered inward, and the echo of the creature's cry could be heard for miles out into the city beyond.....

♦ Hotaru Hakurai, Magical Girl of Lightning

It was a calm evening for Hotaru, ever since she found the artefact and became a magical girl she had taken the habit of doing nightly patrols around her neighbourhood. She was far from having the experience to not look suspicious, and didn't get yet that it was better to do such things in her magical girl form, but it was a start. Though a less excusable behaviour was having her headphones on while theoretically being on the look out for signs of strange events happening.

No headphone would be able to muffle what she heard however, and it wasn't even anywhere within her neighbourhood! She immediately reacted, raising her arm and allowing the bells of her wristband to ring, this would trigger the transformation though she wouldn't wait patiently for it to be done, the girl already starting to run towards the direction of the loud roar as bolts of electricity shot from nearby power lines and appliances into her clothing, making it glow with an electric cyan light while it shifted.

It didn't take long before she went from the streets to the rooftops of the urban area, jumping from building to building with great speed and grace, an aspect imbued into her from her magical powers, as she made her way across the city blocks, soon arriving at the clear source of the incident.

"What... is that..." the girl said in a confused whisper, holding her scarf over mouth as she tried to be sneaky. She knew there was trouble, she knew she would fight, why else would she be a magical girl, but seeing the enemy in person was another thing entirely, even a girl as confident as Hotaru would find herself vacillating.

Though it all would change once she noticed something, her eyes widening. "Its after a person?" she questioned, as there was more than one type of shriek in the area, and one was clearly born from fear. This made her mind, she wouldn't wait in the shadows any longer, instead her suit glowing bright as she jumped down and ran into the area, aiming for one of the many broken windows, wanting to make her way into the store and rescue the civilian before anything truly terrible happened to them.

Sarah sighed, rubbing the back of her neck. Agh, she was starting to feel her age these days. Maybe she should retire sometime soon, from both of her jobs. She was good at juggling them while also being a parent, but also teaching a new magical girl? If it was Isana she could do it easily, but fate seemed to have a rather annoying twist to it. She had an affinity for the metal element, whilst she was of the lightning.

She could teach theory and basics, but anything else? She'd have to let that happy go lucky chef handle it, as much as she would rather her not.

"Aaaah, at least she's not ice." She sighed, leaning back in her comfy office chair and draining the rest of her coffee. "I'd have to disown her." She chuckled to herself, gathering up the last stack of papers she had signed. There was a new exhibit opening next week, and along with inspecting the artifacts in question for authenticity as well as getting the promotions and handling clerical duties, she had her hands full with a lot of things.

"Hey! Who'd be disowning who now?"

"Wuh?!" Sarah jumped lightly as the door to her office was almost thrown off its hinges, nearly dropping both her coffee and the papers Isana walked in, her usual lively stride carrying her to a couch nearby before plopping down. Her usual fancy attire was slightly disheveled. Sarah sighed, shaking her head with a small smile. Well, she couldn't say anything since she had been the exact same way. "Do I need to remind you to be quiet in the museum grounds?"

"Eh, no ones here this late." Isana replied with a shrug as she pulled out an energy drink from he purse. "'Sides if you're gonna disown me, I don't gotta listen to ya." Isana gave her mom a dismissive wave as she pulled open the drink.

"You work here part time," Sarah walked over, whacking her daughter lightly on the head. "And I'm your boss, so you have to listen to me anyways."

"Ow-well, what can I say, I'm terrible at following rules."

"I know that very well, thank you." Sarah chuckled lightly. "Well anyways, how was your day, Isana? Finish all your work?"

"Yeah. Cleaned the exhibits, mopped the floor, filed paper work. School was...eh, you know, same old same old." she replied dismissively. "...so when am I gonna get to see the mummies?"

"Maybe once I think you won't try and harm them." Sarah replied, filing some papers in a few cabinets. "Because I could have sworn I received a call from your principal today."

"Ah? He coming to the next exhibit?"

"Well, he did call about that." Sarah said with a small smile as she finished the papers. "However, he also mentioned something odd happening. Something about the car of a a certain disliked teacher having had its engine displaced during school hours. Pretty sure he said something about a rolled up ball of metal, too, being found on the basketball court." Isana nearly choked and sputtered on her drink.

"Ahahaha, w-weird how that happened, huh. Crazy." Isana glanced away from her mother, a small bit of cold sweat forming on her forehead.

"It is, isn't it?" Sarah took a seat back in her chair, resting her chin on her hands and smiling menacingly at her daughter.

"...h-hey now, someone totally wouldn't have turned the cars engine into scrap metal then used it for a basketball, hahahah. That's crazy." She chuckled nervously, nervously taking another drink of the energy soda. "Weird how that happens."

"Isana Mulryan~?" Her mother replied in a suspiciously nice tone.

"Okay okay, I totally played basketball with it!"

"Goddamn it Isana." Sarah sighed, leaning back in her chair. Despite her tone, she didn't seem too upset, luckily for the teenager. "I don't care if you have fun with it, but can you try not to cause a scene?"

"What? The guys a tool and everyone found it hilarious."

"Just don't get caught, okay? Next time just don't leave it behind. I'd really rather not find my daughter the subject of new government experiments."

"Yeah yeah, I'm not gonna get caught." Isana replied with a dismissive tone.
"Anyways, mom, you said you wanted to talk to me about something before we left?"

"Mhm." Sarah frowned. She had thought of how she was going to approach the subject, but no idea sounded great to her. How could she send her own daughter to fight those beasts? Let alone let someone else teach her? It made her nervous. The others probably couldn't understand even if she asked about it. None of them had kids, and their apprentices weren't going to be their own flesh and blood. "...I suppose it's time I stopped putting off getting into contact with Ishimiya." Sarah said. "Like me, she's a magical girl of the older guard, but she's of the Metal element. That is to say, she is the going to train you."

"Eh? Really?" Isana replied, sitting up.

"It's best if you have some sort of teacher." Sarah said, standing up and grabbing her own purse and a light jacket. "I can't teach you because my element is lightning, unfortunately."

"Eeeeh...I dunno, I think I'm pretty good as is." Isana said with a small frown, standing up as her mom walked to the door. Isana grabbed her bag, following her out of the office and towards the Museum's entrance.
"Not like its something I can't just pickup?"

"Isana, shadow beasts are dangerous." Sarah replied seriously, stopping in front of the doors of the museum to turn and face her daughter. "They're not things you can just casually take on by yourself or carelessly-"

Mid sentence, a loud, piercing malevolent shriek echoed through the darkness of the night.

"...speaking of..." Isana looked up at her mom with a gleam in her eye. An almost endearing, childish excitement. Sarah sighed, she couldn't say no here, could she? The older magical girl quickly adjusted Isana's tie, before giving her a quick hug and holding her shoulders.

"Alright. If I tell you no you're gonna go anyways."

"Hehe, I'm glad I have one of the cool parents." She grinned, earning another smack on the head from Sarah.

"I'm serious. You be careful, Isana. If I have to come save you, you're grounded for a week."

"I'll be fiiiine, you worry to much mom." Isana turned, bolting out of the museum.

Maybe one of the other girls would show up? It'd be a good idea to go on patrol herself anyways, in case she found the heir of the lightning element. Sighing, and wishing she could have just one more cup of coffee, Sarah pulled on her jacket and headed out herself.

Running to the source of the commotion wasn't hard. Isana was already fairly physically fit, being a magical girl only made her physical state better. Running across rooftops, across streets, and generally taking the quickest route there, she was at the site within minutes. A convenience store? She could snag a few snacks on the way out once the shadow beast was taken care of. In fact, she could take enough to have enough for awhile, heh.

Pushing that slightly errant thought aside, Isana leaped from the roof of a nearby building, landing on the ground. Right, she needed a weapon. Casually walking by a street lamp, she stopped just long enough to put a hand on it. The metal began warping and morphing, shrinking and compacting itself into a rather crude, hunk of steel. It wasn't the most elegant of weapons, but a giant 'fuck you' club to some monsters head worked just as well as a blade did.

Hefting the mass of metal over her shoulders, Isana walked towards the convenience store, ready to lay the beat down on whatever manner of beast this was.

❄ ❄ ❄

A sharp cold breeze swept through the elegantly furnished room. The night had been still just a moment ago but now the freezing breath of the night had come to say hello. The room was becoming much too cold, too fast. The pale girl wrapped in a towel rushed up to hurriedly snap the window shut. "I don't think I need that open anymore," she muttered.

Clothes lay uncharacteristically thrown about on the bed, but she managed to pick out her warmest of nightgowns. After quickly throwing it on, she sat carefully across from her closet. It was open, and though the room was hardly lit, she could somehow still see the object of her confusion. She blinked a few times, just to make sure. But it was still there.

Anya could barely believe it. That there was a magical object now in her closet was shocking enough, but even worse was the highly likely chance of there being more creatures out there like the ones that had attacked her friends some weeks ago. She'd always prided herself on being somewhat coolheaded, so after it had happened, she'd rushed straight home after taking her terrified friends to a clinic. Anya had wiped off the snow from the shovel, wrapped it in a thick fleece, and put it into her closet away from prying eyes. And she'd been peeking at it every night ever since, wanting to be sure it'd all been real..

But now what should she do? Was this power meant for only her, and if so for what purpose? Why her? And what in the world had the shovel done to her when she'd touched it? Anya rolled all these thoughts over and over in her mind as she inched forward and took the shovel into her lap. She'd just begun to peel back the fleece to fill her eyes with the sight of a real magical object yet again, but a faint echo of an animal cry reached her ears.

Her heart froze.

Rushing to the window was an almost instinctive reaction--very uncommon for her-- as Anya tossed it open to scour the faraway city lights with her own eyes. Perhaps she was imagining things as this cry was not a howl, but she felt as though she recognized the sound... almost like it just seemed similar to the frightful horrors she'd encountered before on what was also a dark night. An involuntary shudder went through her, and it was certainly not because of the cold this time. She began quietly speaking to herself, as she sometimes did when she got nervous.

"What do I do? I don't really know what that shovel does, nor do I know how to use it..."

She continued as she anxiously scrunched up her nightie into a ball, "someone could be in trouble like I was, but I'm not a hero. I'm all hesitant when it comes to helping others if it puts myself in trouble..."

"But if I want answers, then I've got no choice."

It would take a quick train ride, but Anya could be there in several minutes. She snagged a fluffy winter coat and, though she hesitated, took up the shovel. She knew she'd need it.

The night was cool and calm as Koharu sat on the rood outside her bedroom window, feeling the soothing wind caress her skin as she tried to tune out the tantrum her father was throwing downstairs. He had been watching a football game while drinking, something that was all too common, and his team was losing - not a good thing for someone who was a bad drunk. A sigh slipped past her lips as she laid her head on the tops of her knees, which were pulled against her chest. Of course her mother was ignoring him, it was a miracle if the woman even acknowledged anything going on in the house.

Soon the cool breeze got a little too cold for Koharu and she was forced to retreat into her bedroom. Upon shutting the window the girl's room instantly warmed up, a little too quickly than what was normal.

"I really need to figure this out..." She muttered as her bright eyes drifted to land on a paid of ornate chopsticks that rested upon her desk. It had only been a few days since she the things had suddenly appeared in her backpack, she had no idea where they had come from but she felt compelled to not throw them out. The warmth they radiated was...comforting.

It had been a long time since she had felt a positive emotion or feeling within her home, normally it was nervousness and a hope that she would be overlooked so as not to be an object of her fathers drunken tantrums. But these two pieces of wood made her feel warm and safe, she didn't know why and couldn't explain it. So in her room they stayed, though she had to admit that she really wanted to know where they had come from. Had someone at school put them in her bag? Why did they give off such heat? Why did she have such a strange feeling of duty when holding them? So many questions yet no answers.

Koharu went to sit on her bed but stopped when a faint yet piercing sound echoed through the air, the hair on the her arms prickling with apprehension. Her gaze was instantly drawn to the window, looking to the city that rested beyond. She felt something pulling her, wanting her to follow that sound. Without really thinking the blonde girl grabbed her chopstick and shoved them into the ponytail in her hair, slipped a coat on and rushed out of the house, ignoring the screams of her father as he told her to come back.

Thankfully she didn't live far at all and a quick run found her in front of a convenience store, though as she stood there she felt herself freeze up. What was she doing? Why had she come here? If something dangerous was in there what was she supposed to do?

Kori stared at the whistle as she walked out towards the school gate. It was so tempting.... She hadn't done anything but carry it around since that day it appeared in her hand after her little adventure. Her father always told her not to play with things she found in the street after all. He was always so stern about it to, and the things he told her always stuck in her head.

"You never know where they could have been before you picked them up. And some of things like that can make you really sick too."

That's what he would say to discourage her from picking up garbage and random objects that were sitting around on the sidewalk. She most certainly didn't want to be sick. Kori recalled a time when she was ten and had to miss three days of school because she had a nasty case of the flu that forced her to be bedridden the whole time. That was awful, her head was pounding and just her breathing caused her to cough in a painful way. She never wanted to feel like that again surely....

But something about the whistle looked just so... fun! It was just a whistle but there was something in her head for days now pushing her to blow into it. It was so shiny and it was made out of real metal, she never had a whistle before but she did hear Mr.Malone the gym teacher blow into his whistle every chance he got to. He always looked like he was having fun! Maybe she would give it a toot, just to get it out of her system.

NO! No no no! Back in elementary they taught the class the importance of not blowing whistles willy nilly just because you can! Whistles are important tools to get people's attention, and if you run around blowing whistles as loud as you possibly can people will think that there's some kind of emergency! People thinking that there's an emergency when there isn't one is bad! Right, so it was decided; she was not going to-

Before she knew it, she blew the whistle loudly in the middle of the street after exiting the school grounds.

...A sudden sharp jolt shook through the bus, making Kori very abruptly yelp out as she clenched the pole designed to assist her in keeping her balance. She was already nervous enough with everyone staring at her, and it didn't help that she was such a shy girl. The murmurs and whispers were the only other sounds in the bus besides the clanging metal of the under the bus that shook with every single bump in the road. She rested her forehead onto the pole making the light green locks fall into her view as she stared at the poofy black dress adorned with bright fresh flowers and black high heels.

"Wow, isn't she kinda young for modeling?"
"No no they're getting younger and younger these days."
"Well maybe it's just a cosplay?"
"I mean it would explain the trumpet..."
"Is there some kind of event in town?"

With that little whisper her face flushed just a bit after drifting over to her large instrumental horn. Her father was right you shouldn't play with things you find in the streets or magically appear in the palm of your hand in the forest. But how was she supposed to know that the whistle was going to turn her hair green, and change her clothes, and turn into a big cumbersome brass horn? Carrying it around was tough when she also had to carry her carrying bag with her, especially when it weighed like a million pounds! Stupid magic whistle... And these heels were making it hard to keep her balance, she never wore anything like them before....

"But she looks so cute though, do you think we can get a picture?"

She heard the one of the gossipers whisper it to a friend. Kori's face turned bright red for a moment, and she turned her head towards the back of the bus to hide her embarrassment. Though as she calmed down for a moment a little smile did sneak across her face. Nobody ever called her cute before... Well, nobody that she knew of besides her father. Wait, how was she going to explain her green hair to her father?! What about her school uniform he'd never believe that a whistle magically replaced her school clothes with all this expensive clothing! He was going to think she'd been doing something nefarious and then--

Suddenly a loud piercing shriek echoed through the night so loudly it took her right out of her train of thought. Kori looked around at the other bus patrons, all still gossiping about the odd girl in the black fluffy dress. "Wait... Did nobody else..." she muttered to herself before sharply pulling on the cord to signal a stop. As the bus began to gradually slow and came to a long stop that carried a bit of the momentum with it, Kori clenched the pole so she wouldn't fall over. Without a minute more hesitation, she lifted her large brass horn and ran off the bus.

Before jumping back on for a moment to give a light bow in the direction of the bus driver, "U-um, thank you for the ride!" And with that she hopped off the bus and began to move as quickly as she could without falling down in a direction she felt she needed to go in....

From the two new attendees' perspectives, this large creature looked as if it were fuming black smoke off of the back of it. The deep black shades of it's body shifted in an unsettling and unnatural way before silently sprouting two large hulking forearms from it's upper mass, two stubby legs that seemed to hunch from it's lower mass, and a large thick tail figure from between the new legs. As it manifested it's fully mobile functional form, it didn't break it's sight away from the terrified man and it's large mouth full of jagged white teeth began to widen as if it were going to let out another roar.

The man cowered and cried out as the beast proceeded to shriek once again, which shifted into a garbled jumble of noises as it raised it's hulking ape like arms into the air. The Man quickly stood to his feet and attempted to flee towards the back door, but soon slipped and fell onto some of the glass shards from the windows as a large tremor was sent through the tiling along with a loud crashing noise. Outside, the girls saw the beast swiftly lift into a hulking twelve foot tall figure and begin wailing onto the store front as it let out bestial roars. It's arms came down on the building and the edge of the windowsills, tearing away the cement from the walls as well as flinging scraps of sharp metal into the glass covered road way.

It was on a rampage, tearing into the store itself in an attempt to wedge further in to capture the terrified Owner. The Man let out a terrified scream as he scooted across the floor away from this monster before calling out.

"SOMEONE! ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME! HEL-" His words were cut off by his own weeping as he realized that the beast's roar was drowning out any hope of someone hearing him. His cries once again turned into a desperate scream, and then suddenly the beast froze in place. It took the Man a moment to realize, but when as he took a few deep breaths he realized he could hear something in the distance.

"H-hey!"

The beast shifted it's head out of the store, and off at the end of the road a young girl with bright green hair in a black dress with heels on came running down the road. Even more odd she was carrying a large brass horn and attempting to keep on a large sun hat with what appeared to be an old leather document bag, not to mention she was wearing a sun hat at night. The beast pulled it's hands away from the broken windows and stood at a hunched height of 10 feet tall as it watched her run forward. The closer she got the more clear her voice was to the spectators of the store front.

"You can't do that! T-that's ille- AH!" As she came into full view of the scene, the odd girl tripped abruptly in the middle of her chastising the large monster between breathes and face planted into the pavement. As her horn bounced off the hard ground to a new position a few feet away it was made apparently obvious she wasn't exactly the most skilled girl at running in heels. The Beast's attention zeroed in onto the girl, and as was coming closer and closer it began to lean forward as if it were a predator about to pounce onto prey. It's teeth began to lift up, and it's chest began to expand before sprinting froward with a bellow. As the girl shuffled back to her knees and looked up clenching her nose, the only thing she could see were sharp teeth and an endless abyss leaping toward her. She let out a sharp "eek" sound, which was all she could manage in the short time it would take for it to reach her. It appeared as if in a moment she would definitely be a goner.

Just as Anya stepped onto the open train platform, the wind whipped across her face as the temperature dropped. She was once told going from warm to cold too quickly was never good for the skin or the sinuses... oh well. The moonlight shone eerily through the underground windows, she climbed up brick stairs to the surface as quickly as she could in her boots. Anya had been in a hurry but had still thought to dress warm, though a small voice told her that she looked like a ball of fluff.

She brushed off these thoughts and returned to her task with razor-sharp focus. Right, the animal cry...

Anya looked up to the dark sky but saw simply stars and clouds. She wasn't sure what she was looking for, but stuck to the sidewalk and carefully started walking along, the street lights flickering ominously all the while.

A man screamed out into the night, and Anya whipped around to the direction of the noise in fright herself. Any more of this and she would hardly be able to keep her cool... but she jogged towards the commotion anyways. She slowed down immediately once the bloodcurdling screams were close enough and cautiously ducked behind cover in an alleyway. Peering out... just a little bit further, oh no there it was. The horrifying outline of something familiar yet monstrous was edging closer towards a poor man, but there was a young girl running up behind it?! Anya realized the girl had to be younger than she was, yet she had green hair, a sun hat and... heels? It was odd seeing this as she herself wondered if the girl was the same as her.

But she knew time was of the essence. That horror wouldn't stand growling at the poor man forever. Anya inched forward ever closer, gripped the hilt of her shovel in one hand and felt it transform her as she held it close. Again she was in different clothes, again she would have to fight off a monster and again she... couldn't feel the cold anymore. If anything it felt invigorating this time. But Anya knew to be careful this time too, otherwise she'd be minced meat.

Her best bet was to strike the monster from behind, as she'd done before with the first horrors. She still didn't understand why the first ones she'd seen had icicles appear after she struck them though, it hadn't been that cold, had it? Er, never mind.

After Anya's few seconds of thinking, she hadn't been paying attention and the monster had already leapt for the pretty girl in the sun hat. It was now or never! Before it could get the poor girl in its jaws, Anya rushed up, jumped with newfound strength she didn't know she had, and struck it fiercely.

"It will not happen, strange fiend!!" She cried as she brought her shovel down. P-perhaps she'd only made it angrier, she didn't know... but Anya's goal certainly wasn't the monster.

Anya still couldn't believe any of this was happening, but leapt over and quickly reached out a concerned hand to the girl, "Are you alright?!"
