♦ Wèi Lái ~ Project Attacus ♦

Wèi Lái listened to the others tell their stories, however short they were. Not complete stories of course, but still. The tall winged Zasshu only hummed warmly in response to most of them, though at the mention of Genbu her antennae perked a little.

"Eh? Genbu?" She titled her head, studying Cade. She guessed she could see it, what with his carapace, but he was so... timid! Genbu was an aggressive, territorial Archon! Then again, the same was true for Lindy and Balaur. Although she knew that obviously the Zasshu, herself included, wouldn't be very similar to the Tenshi for the most part... not for the first time Wèi Lái wondered just where the disconnect happened. "Hm~ I guess I can see it..."

She was busy pondering to herself, surely appearing a bit spacey, when Shirona wandered over with her gift.

"Whoa~ what a big box!" Wèi Lái peered curiously at it until it's contents were finally revealed. Carefully, she took the leg shaped object, slowly turning it over in her hands. It was... well it was a leg. With a shoe and stockings... and a lamp shade...? Oh, it was a lamp. A leg-lamp. Wait, was this a moth joke? Wèi Lái looked up at Shirona, studying the other girl's face for a while before looking back down at the leg-lamp. It was sort of interesting, in an antique way. Sort of dumb but also sort of morbid.

"...

...

...

...it's cool!"
she laughed after a long pause, "Yay~ a gift just for me! Thank you, Sakurai! Or do you prefer Shirona? Saku~? Shishi~? Sa-Shi...?"

Mir was still in his chain of chaotic thoughts, doing monologues inside his head. Good for him, someone decided to ease him off from his very stiff guarding pose. The Major broke Mir out of his thoughts, telling him that these kids were nothing to worry about. For now, at least. He would've been very relieved if she did not add the "for now" part. Were they going to go through kaiju puberty and start knocking over tables and stuff later on? Would they get kaiju puberty problems and rebel against their higher ups? Spit acid around and fly across the hall like a true rebel? Oh, the terror!
Not to mention he was more guarding(if they needed any normal human's protection anyways) the teenagers just in case a traitor within decided to bust in guns ablaze. But he decided not to talk about that part, as it seemed quite ridiculous and yes, he may have been scared at these kids at some point.
"Yes, ma'am."
Mir saluted to Akane and loosened his posture slightly. And he watched one girl hand out presents to others- so far a hoodie, a gumball machine, and a... leg lantern. Truly a grand collection of humanity's relics that was.

Lindy Carlson ~ Project Medusa

@PsyBlade @Metatrooper @Yankee @AlternateMan

If the Balaur relation disturbed Shirona at all, she didn't show it, displaying the same friendliness towards everyone as she handed out gifts. With a smile, Lindy accepted hers. "Thanks," she said, holding up the hooded jacket. Large, warm and comfy, just as she liked - with a snake design on the back. Her lips twitched. Of course. Like the necklace she wore, could this serve as a reminder to embrace her Tenshi side, as long as she controlled it enough?

She unzipped the hoodie and pulled it on, not caring that it seemed to be a men's jacket, or that it swamped her tiny frame. Her tense muscles relaxed a little. Much more comfortable than the damp one draped over the chair. Watching from many angles with her snakes, shifting her focus as the other Zasshu received items one by one, she wished she'd brought something for them. At least they appeared happy with the gifts they had, particularly Wei Lai, who studied a strange yet creatively designed leg lamp in her hands.

Shirona had quite the sense of humour, it seemed.

Cade Lin - Project Ravager

@LuckyBlackCat @PsyBlade @Yankee

Cade raised his eyebrows as Wèi lái studied him. He could tell that he wasn't what she was expecting at all, given that she had to keenly look for a resemblance. He felt a bit embarrassed about it, but reminded himself that not being the aggressive, territorial juggernaut that was Genbu wasn't necessarily a bad thing.

He slumped back into his seat as the rest of the group introduced themselves, taking care to at least try and remember all of their names. Shirona at least seemed to be pretty cheerful though, almost as cheerful as Wèi lái. The main difference being that the moth girl talked a bit weirdly in his opinion.

Cade was brought back to his senses as Shirona stood in front of him with something in hand. His gaze shifted between the gift and Shirona before he realized what was going on and blurted out a response. “Oh, this is for me? T-thank you!” A small grin spread across his face as she joked. “Heheh, yeah…” He studied the gumball dispenser in his hand as Shirona distributed the rest of the gifts. He’d had trinkets like this back home, and he was now regretting that he didn’t bring at least a few to give to the others as well. He opened the head of the dispenser and looked inside. Just like Shirona said, there were a couple of gumballs resting at the bottom of the chamber, along with a few dust bunnies. He closed the cap and turned his attention elsewhere. Lindy had gotten an oversized hoodie, which she already seemed to be quite comfortable in. Wèi lái on the other hand, had received a… particularly unique looking lamp.

Shirona Sakurai

Shirona was happy to get on everyone's good side for the time being. The others seemed to like their gifts, particularly Lindy, who almost looked like she'd disappear in her new hoodie. "I'm glad you like them," she said. "Please take good care of them. Some of them were hard to get a hold of. Especially that lamp, Wèi Lái."

Akane Mitsuishi

The major glanced Mir over before speaking to him again. "No need to salute for the time being. I've seen your file, Corporal. You've been through a lot. You're a team player, you focus on the mission at hand. But, most importantly for this assignment, you don't hate the Tenshi. So relax, try to get to know these kids, and get some rest, because the hard part starts tomorrow."
