"Well if you seem to think you are so much better then everyone else, go ahead, get out of here and go "deal with it yourself" then why don't you, since you clearly think you can handle everything yourself. Oh wait? Is it because you actually can't? Feel free to go off and get yourself killed within 5 minutes alone if you entered that area. Or do you just clearly expect them to just ignore your entire existence or something?" Mary snapped at Jade, since she was really getting on her nerves. How the hell could the other two who were with her even stand to be within 5 feet of her?

Lance decided that it was probably a better solution to ignore Jade, as fighting seemed to just make things worse and continue to sort of engage in the arguing and fighting, so he turned his attention entirely towards Ed when he asked what people could do. "I can control light, and stuff like that... Though I typically use it to craft shields and for healing, as opposed to actively using them for combat..." he explained with a shrug. He wasn't a fighter, he didn't even know what to do in a fight. His powers were more sporadic, and not exactly the best. He had come up with way more ways to use his powers for support or defensive purposes, even though he probably could create just about anything that he wanted to.

"Things are just hectic. My powers are a bit obvious, most people at this point know what I do. And seriously doubt many people outside of this city trust me. Doubt too many really trust me in the city either. But eh, whatever," Pietro responded with a bit of an eye roll in general. Of course, he knew that the Brotherhood and that group didn't trust him because he left the Brotherhood for the X-Men in the first place, and he knew others didn't trust him because he had switched once before, what was stopping him from doing it again?

Mary turned her attention away from Jade and looked at Ed now, "I control plant life, all aspects of it, down to a cellular level. Learned a few other tricks I didn't even think about, but that's all I'll say on it. What the hell are you all able to do?" she then asked in turn, since it wasn't exactly plainly obvious (aside from Ed being able to heal people) he fact that Jade was obviously a human and didn't even really have super powers of her own, so the question was more for him and Thalia.

Thalia was sort of glad at the moment that Jade seemed to more or less be removing herself from the situation and going to go call Jakobsen. If she hadn't, Thalia likely would have suggested it in the first place anyway. Since it was plainly obvious that Jade was not going to get along well with everyone else. And despite how Jade seemed to be acting at times, they really really did need the help. The more help they had, the better. "...I can do a few different things... One of the things is kind of the dragon wings that I can have sprout from my back. Claws, and breathing fire and all included..." she commented. There were a few other things that likely would be useful to mention, but one of them was something that she wasn't too sure about mentioning. That being her ability to control time, or at least, in a minor way. She at most has been able to have things go backwards an hour or two, but that was about it. It wasn't super powerful, and going back that far tended to give her a major headache or something.

Having calmed down a little bit from the existence that was Jade, Mary was able to fully pay attention to what others had said, including Cass' question towards her. "...I can, probably rather easily. The difficulty would be making enough of that sort of plant life in order to cover the entire area. And there is no guarantee that whatever sort of spores I created would enter the actual building itself. But that sort of thing shouldn't be too difficult. Just might take a little bit to find something that easily would be strong enough to effect everyone in the area."

Another thought did cross her mind about it though that she didn't state out loud, and that was to just poison everyone in that area. They wouldn't have to deal with them getting back up (as most likely would end up dead) aside from those with a healing factor, and it would be so much simpler to just release an extremely large dose of a deadly poison into the area, as opposed to a knock out gas or spore. Plus she felt like it might make her feel a little better, since it would decimate a lot of Magneto's forces, and make it easier for them to potentially kill him. Yup, that was a lovely thought that crossed her mind, and she likely was going to end up doing it like that anyway.

Carolina Reed

Location: New York City Building Interior
Skills: N/A

Carolina stared at Jade for awhile and glared at her, the woman was really getting on her nerves as she crossed her arms and rolled her eyes. "Whatever the thing is if your mask breaks or has a breach in it you'd be dead quickly." Carolina said to her and just left it at that, she leaned back slightly as she ran a hand through her hair as she looked at everyone else in the room. Out of everyone in the group she probably was the weakest link in the group.

She wasnt sure if Cass' idea or suggestion would even work if Mary was able to use her powers to make some poisonous plants that could weaken Magneto's men or not would work. "Just tell me what to do and where you want me and i'll help out wherever I can." Carolina said, she wasnt sure if she'd live through the fight against Magneto or not they just needed a plan that would work out the best.

Cassandra Reed

Location: New York Streets
Skills: N/A

Cassandra shook her head slightly, at least she was trying to figure out and come up with a plan to take the fight to Magneto, she watched as Jade headed off. She turned her attention towards Thalia as she mentioned her abilities could be pretty useful in a fight as well when Mary answered her question.

"What if we get the schematics of the building, we just need to sneak into the building and find the ventilation system. If you can make a plant potent enough to take them down we plant it down in there, then the ventilation system can do the work for us and fill the building." Cass said, she hoped that the plan could work, she wasnt sure how long or effective any of it would even work at least it was an idea anyway.

Ed's jaw tightened as Jade was a jerk to the others. He sort of understood where she was coming from, but if anything the group that had been in New York could serve as a distraction. "I have access to the arcane arts. I can track people I have a sample from. I can heal. I can create force and manipulate it." That was the boiled-down version of what Ed could do. And it was enough information.

"If Jakobsen is able to get us blueprints that'll save us some effort. Though I don't know how he'll get it to us." Ed frowned thinking. Lance's power would be good for a distraction, or blinding opponents.

"Guin, can you go from one person to another person if they touch? For example, if you touched me, then I touched Lance, would you be able to transfer to Lance? Also, while in a person can you read their mind at all?" He hated asking it. The question weighed heavily on him as he said it and felt like acid in his mouth. But if they could get an edge by having Guin read minds and learn secrets, like codes or people distribution it would be worth it.

Then he looked to Caroline, "Caroline, what is your range? And are you invisible or can someone see you easily? Lance, can you do solid light?"

Jade Cornish

Jade didn't bother pointing out to the rest of these people that she had what O.M.E.N. classified as a deviance. They seemed far too narrow minded to comprehend such a subtle gift and ability. She also let the ginger's comments just roll off of her back, not giving them too much weight or mind. She didn't see a point in the young British woman informing her of an obvious conclusion. There were plenty of ways for people to die. Jade didn't even know how her deviance or the fact that she had been resurrected would interact with Magneto's virus, but she didn't care. She wasn't here to survive. She was here to stop Magneto - something this group proved incapable of doing. "You could be killed with something as meaningless as a paperclip," she told Carolina, before stepping out of the area where everyone had crowded in order to contact Jakobsen.

"Jakobsen, this is Cornish, do you read me?" Jade said into her communicator.

"Yeah, I hear you, what's the situation over there?" Jakobsen's reply came.

"We located Magneto's base of operations, he's taken over the buildings near Madison Square Garden. Resistance efforts seem to be made up of Thor, the Hulk, and the Thing, as well as a handful of the kid X-Men. They haven't made much traction, seemingly from either a lack of skill or experience or leadership or both," Jade said, delivering her assessment.

"So they are alive huh? Though doesn't sound like there is a whole lot that has been done. The good news seems to be you do have more then just the three of you to potentially do something. Though the fact that they haven't been able to accomplish a lot isn't exactly a good thing, or reassuring really."

"The way I see it, their most effective use is as a distraction," Jade replied bluntly.

"You likely won't be able to accomplish much if you only use that group as a distraction, you'll need their help to likely be able to have much of a chance. There is only so much three people can do against Magneto and his group. No matter what you'll need to be careful, as you are severely outnumbered."

"Then we use the baby X-Men as the distraction and take the Hulk, Thor, and the Thing with us."

Guinevere Stark

Guin wanted to claim independence and leadership and all of that, but honestly, it was nice to see Edus more or less taking charge. She didn't know him, but he seemed like he was confident and had a plan - and unlike Mary, he didn't scream at them all the time. It also didn't hurt that he was a bit older than the rest of them, helping him to look somewhat like an authority figure - like someone her father might've asked to join the Avengers. "Blueprints should be kept on file at City Hall, in the city planning office," Guin pointed out. They should be able to get physical copies from there - at least, she had watched enough Parks and Rec to be fairly certain that they'd exist there. The other option would be to somehow get access to the Internet and be able to download them, but Guin wasn't going to hold her breath.

"Yeah, I can leapfrog from body to body..." she said to Edus. She hadn't done it very often and it took a bit more energy out of her. People seemed to end up back in their correct bodies when she was done with it, so that was nice - it would've been stressful if people ended up randomly mixed in the wrong bodies. "And no, I can't read their minds, since they're displaced by me."

"Getting any sort of info if you couldn't tell from outside the city is next to impossible. Most electricity doesn't run in this area, we barely have anything that really runs in this area. I mean, the one thing that might work would be a computer that Guin built from scavenged parts that runs on an old operating system... Thing is doesn't exactly have any sort of internet connection around here and it barely works because of a combination of things... Though it isn't bad considering the fact that it's made from spare parts and wires that have been found around the city... Though not exactly a way to send info in and out of the city..."

"I mean, I can get a few people over to city hall fairly quickly. Will say it might take a while to look through all the stuff that they have there, even for me," Pietro commented. It sounds like they were a little pressed on time, but Pietro figured that it was better off to state that out loud. That of course assuming that nothing horrible happened to stop them and slow them down, or that the files and everything were even still there.

"Just a reminder it would be exactly a gas, it would be a pollen, since that's how the plants and everything would work. It'll take me a few minutes or so to find the right combinations of things to get the desired effect, so if anyone cares, I'm probably going to be messing with that for the next little while," Mary commented, before she started heading out of the area into a different tunnel, and she pulled out some of the plant seeds she carried around and was starting to mess with it. Mary was still wanting to just poison everyone there and get it over with. Though she easily could create a version of the poppies from the Wizard of Oz, the flowers of course putting people to sleep, but honestly, life would be easier to just kill everyone.

"Well, if we wanted to split up for a little bit, do more at once. Some people could go with Quicksilver to city hall, others could go scout out the area immediately surrounding where Magneto and all are setup. Others could stay here and figure out potential ways for us to get even to the building without possibly getting swarmed and attack when we get within 10 feet of the place or something. At least that would give everyone something to do or whatever..." Thalia suggested with a bit of a shrug. They needed to have an idea of what they were going to do. They didn't exactly have much time to accomplish everything, but they couldn't exactly go charging in.

"I can carry up to around three people with me, however speed wise it slows me down a little, it would be better if I only had to carry one or two others with me there..."

Meanwhile with the conversation with Jade. Thing was, Alex knew that most people didn't get used to Jade very quickly, not to mention with everything that had happened, he had a feeling that the group wasn't exactly too trusting. "Jade, just keep in mind, you will need their help no matter what you all end up deciding to do. So be careful, especially since I doubt all of them are trusting of strangers who they haven't met before. However seems like you seem to have as much of a handle on this situation as you possibly can, which is definitely a step in the right direction..."

"Thank you for looking into it Mary. That'll be good for us." He then turned his attention back to Guin.

Can you use their power while in their body? So if you go into Pietro and speedster over to someone so we can secure your body and keep whoever you leapfrog into from attacking." Of all the powers Ed could see this being one of the more useful ones. If she could get close enough she could leapfrog right into Magneto or someone close to him and assassinate him.

"As for getting the blueprints, I agree we should get our hands on it. Pietro, if you take Carolina to keep an eye on the building from the outside if she's invisible. And then either Thalia or Jade to the City Hall to get those I think that'd be a good start. Is there any map of the city you have? I'll be honest I've never been to New York before and while I know it has a simple grid layout I'd like something to use for visualization. Whichever of you, Thalia or Jade doesn’t go for the City Hall should go on recon. I’ll stay here.” He said expanding on Thalia’s idea of splitting the group to get more done in less time. He figured it would be a good idea to get Jade out of the base before she punched someone. Mary would be staying to work on her pollen so maybe Lance and Cassandra could go on the recon mission. As for Thor, the Hulk, and the Thing it would be good to keep them back for now. None of them were the most subtle. In the end, though this was all still a suicide mission. If anyone survived he’d be surprised.

They had two possible plans, and maybe the plans could work in tandem. Depending on how powerful Mary made her knock-out pollen. The more plans and backup plans they had the better off they were. Jade was being a bit unreasonable and wasn't looking at the possibilities in his opinion. But maybe if he presented the ideas to her and had her fine-tune them she'd calm down.

"My astral form is invisible to most people unless Magneto has someone who could see astral forms, I can also possess people and take control of them. Range i'm not really sure I havent really tested it maybe a couple hundred feet at best." Carolina answered Ed as she turned to look at him to answer his question, she ignored Jade's comment as she went off to make her phone call. She liked Thalia's suggestion and splitting up the group to do different tasks, she was better suited for going into city hall and getting the documents.

"Though whenever I do use my power, it leaves my physical body vulnerable so someone would have to stay back and watch it, or drag my body with them. I'll go with the city hall group and whoever else wants to go there." Carolina said, so long as she wasnt with Jade she didnt really care who else went there.

Cassandra looked towards Mary and nodded slightly she wasnt a botanist or anything like that really, most of her knowledge was with engineering and technology as well as computers. But at least Mary had agreed with her idea it would make dealing with Magneto's people inside easier. She just really hoped that the plan would work she listened to Thalia and nodded towards her, she was fine with some of them going off to City Hall to get the plans.

While some of them went out and doing a little bit of recon around the area. That way they'd be able to have a better feel for who all was there and the best way to actually sneak into the building without getting caught potentially by Magneto's people. "I'll go with whoever wants to go in the recon then." Cass said as she watched Mary heading off to try and work out with the knockout pollen plan.

Jade Cornish

"I can handle this. I'm not worried," Jade said honestly over the communicator to Alex. She wasn't worried. She was incredibly confident. She had been killed once before and it didn't take. Part of her even figured if she did die here today, there was a 50-50 shot that someone else would find a means of resurrecting her - she had hardly known Darren and he sold his soul for her. He was burning in hell at this very moment, all so that Jade could breathe the air here in New York and take down Magneto. She had killed the Devil already - doing it again wouldn't be particularly hard. Maybe the Avengers should've approached her for membership - maybe more of them would still be alive.

"Any plans you could try to get to us of the area Magneto's taken over - near Madison Square Garden - would be helpful," Jade said. She wasn't one for showing more positive or gushy emotion, so she didn't end with an I love you or anything, rather just leaving a moment of silence. She didn't have time to waste talking to Alex. He'd been updated on the situation. Hopefully he could give some aid, but if not, that was fine. She needed to get back to her, ugh, her team soon and start getting things into motion.

Guinevere Stark

Guin was feeling a little hesitant with all the questions Edus had about her power - she didn't have very fine tuned control over it. The psychological trauma of everything that had happened and then just the circumstances they were stuck in meant that she didn't have a super great grasp on it, not as much as she could have. She didn't want to be close to people and that's what her power required, being so close to someone that she literally became them. "Yeah, I can use their power but, it's not like they come with an instruction manual, and those powers aren't always intuitive. So unless they happen to be similar to a power one of our group has, it'll be my first time trying to use it." She hated that she didn't have good control over her power. But another part of the problem was she gained her power the day her father died - she couldn't help but connect the two in her mind, her power and his death.

"I'll go wherever, but I'm guessing you'll want me on recon," Guin said. If she could find someone to hop bodies with, it would be an easy-ish way to handle things - assuming someone could knock out her body or restrain it or something. She didn't want to leave someone like Sabretooth inside of her body unattended. And then there was the issue that if she did bodyhop, whoever she swapped with couldn't be kept in the tunnels, else they would learn where the resistance was based out of.

"...Wouldn't it make more sense for me to be in the building trying to help find the stuff? Cause super speed and all, plus if we get attacked I can get whoever is in there with me out and if someone is outside keeping watch, I can speed by them to pick them up. Though as I said, as an escape route only two people total should go with me there, since anymore slows me down, and makes it difficult to make a quick escape, especially if I have to make multiple trips for more people. I can't guarantee that I'd be able to get everyone out..."

"Ok, well, personally I think I should go do recon. It's the group most likely to run into trouble and I can probably cause a bit of a distraction if need be to let others get away. Plus I can potentially look from the air in a quick zip around..." Thalia said with a shrug. Personally she figured she was better equipped to go do that as opposed to go look around City Hall for the blueprints to the building. She wasn't sure if Jade would really want to do that sort of thing either, it just came down to potential preference really at this point.

Lance wasn't entirely sure about this sort of thing, at least at the moment. There wasn't really much of a group that he felt like he could actually be super helpful with. The group with Pietro to City Hall had to be small, but also running recon likely would require a smaller group to potentially avoid detection. "Um... I can be in whatever group people want me to be in... I don't exactly have a preference and can really be put with any group, I don't care which one," he said, looking at the group. Ed and Cass seemed to be the ones more or less taking charge in general.

"Well we should then just see about getting going, no use sticking around here. And as stated, anyone else who isn't going with either team can try to potentially come up with the best course of action, but it might be easier to come up with a more thorough plan once we get the info from the other two groups..." personally, she wasn't too sure how things were going to go with anything. Things could go from bad to worse in an instant if they weren't careful no matter what they did. She wondered what was going on with Jade's conversation with Jakobsen. She personally wasn't entirely sure she trusted OMEN (or SHIELD really) but she had joined he effort because in a way, she sort of felt a little guilty about a few things, but she wasn't going to openly tell anyone why or what her reasonings for joining the OMEN/SHIELD effort so long after the initial threat presented itself.

The speedster shrugged a little bit, hearing all of the conversations, but he did stick close to Guin, before leaning over and whispering to her, "Hey are you okay?" he asked her quietly, making sure no one else could hear him but her. Pietro was a bit worried about her in general, and just wanted to make sure she was alright.

Mary had gone off by herself, and was sort of just messing with a few plant seeds that she had with her that she could easily grow into as many plants as she could ever want. Her mental state had gone downhill since the whole ordeal a year ago. Though at the moment she had told a small sort of lie with regards to creating a "knockout pollen". She knew she could do that, rather easily actually, she had made the poppy flowers from the Wizard of Oz before, so essentially a stronger version of that to last longer wouldn't be too hard. However right now, she very much was done being nice, or just knocking people out, no.

Personally, she'd prefer them to be dead.

That was the hard part, considering she couldn't very much test a poison on anyone or anything, something like that. So she was trying to come up with a bit of a failsafe in a way, in case her trying to kill them didn't work. That was the part that was difficult, since it would require her joining the two together The idea was, that if she somehow didn't make the pollen strong enough to kill the Brotherhood goons, then she'd have the backup of essentially the overpowered poppy flower pollen. Though killing the group was the option she preferred, and if the poppy pollen didn't work, she'd add something else to make it a bit more uncomfortable and to slow them down if they tried to attack.

After all, many plants were poisonous without being deadly, for instance the newer name she tended to use if need be was "Foxglove" based around a flower that definitely cause some discomfort and illness unless treated, though could be potentially deadly if ingested in large doses. Since it made things a little easier to create things based around plants, she was going to see about incorporating poison from one of the most poisonous plants around, belladonna, also known as deadly nightshade.

"We can try to create a distraction for you and march to attack the city, but that unfortunately would be the most we can do. They can spot any of our planes and such easily and shoot them down. Just let me know when you plan on going in to try and stop the group entirely, and in the meantime I'll organize a force for one last fight if that works for you. I'll see you later Jade," he was choosing to obviously stay a bit optimistic, though he knew what the odds were, and they weren't looking good at all no matter how you looked at it from his point of view.

Carolina looked over at Guin and Pietro for a moment. "I'd feel better if Lance and Pietro would come with to city hall it'd be a bit more helpful maybe." Carolina said, with Pietro's speed he could easily read through anything fairly quickly, and Lance could be useful since his powers were more versatile in both a defensive and offensive way as well to.

She leaned back slightly as she looked over at the others who would be going on recon and turned to Ed. "Where are you going, recon or city hall?" Carolina ended up asking him he and Thalia seemed to be the most helpful out of the group, Jade she didnt really like still and just rubbed her the wrong way a lot of the time.

Cassandra Reed

Location: New York City Sewers
Skills: N/A

Cassandra turned to look at her sister for a moment, she didnt like the idea of being seperated but she knew that she could easily handle herself though. She turned to look at Thalia she would be good with the group since she could easily just fly around, and have a birds eye view of everything. "Alright then, lets get going." Cassandra said as she stood up and stretched slightly she wasnt sure who else would go, Carolina offered Lance to come with them and Guin was going with her, and Thalia to do a little bit of recon.

She wasnt sure where Ed was going to be going, Mary was busy making the pollen for the Brotherhood which she hopes that it'll work out well enough for them to weaken the brotherhood quiet a bit to make things easier for them whenever they end up fighting against Magneto. "The rest of you guys stay safe."

"Since Pietro can only carry so many people I'll go with the recon group. From City Hall bring any maps or blueprints you think will be useful. Stay out of sight as best as you can. Don't get into a fight if you can help it, just get out of there." He didn't know if they'd take that advice, but he hoped they would. "Pietro, you'll be the primary searcher. Good luck." He nodded to him acknowledging that he would be the fastest at it.

"Those of us going on recon, we'll head out as soon as Jade is done with the call with Jackobsen so we can catch her up." He supposed that put her with their group in recon. He had hoped to split Jade and Thalia up, but maybe it was good to have them with her so if she got...well, into a fight with any of the kids at least he'd be there to bubble them and split the fight up. Ed couldn't help but think of most of the survivors here as kids. They were all young, probably barely out of teenage years, if they were even that old, he'd be surprised if more than half of them could drink legally here in the States. Except maybe Cassandra who seemed to be closer to his age.

"Understood, Jakobsen," Jade said, before ending the communication via her communicator. She wasn't one for sappy goodbyes or speeches. She trusted that he understood how she felt about him, but this wasn't about them. This was about everyone still stuck in this hellish city - and those on the outside, looking at the beginnings of WWIII with bated breath. She barely took a moment before leaving the little area she was in and returning to find the others - well, most of them. It looked like the plant girl had gone off somewhere. Jade wasn't worried.

"I made contact with Jakobsen. He's preparing reinforcements for us, waiting on our signal." That was short and to the point - pretty much giving everything pertinent from the conversation. She barely paused for a moment before continuing. "Where are we at with our strategy?" she then asked. She was looking mostly as Edus and Thalia, the two people she had come in with, as the rest seemed to either be children or just inefficient. Jade figured she would die here, but she didn't want to die pointlessly or without reason.

Guinevere Stark

Pietro had checked in again with her - it was sweet, but even little things like that wasn't enough sometimes to get her mind to shake off the general feelings of agony and despair. She wished that she could close her eyes and open them again to find that everything had been undone, that she had never joined SHIELD or gone to work with the X-Men, that she was just another rich brat who only needed to worry about what parties to go to or what to wear. Her mutant power had kept her alive, but the real joke was that she hadn't been able to use it to help anyone else. Even if she could switch with someone to infiltrate Magneto's base, the minute she switched back, they would have information about their group as well. The only way to eliminate that concern would be if Guin never switched back... if the person in her body ceased to be... along with her...

Guin shrugged a bit at his check-in. "I'm just tired of it all," she answered him quietly. She couldn't help but wonder if this would be the last time they'd ever see each other - even at the end of the world, Guin couldn't help but be dramatic. But it was drama for good reason. Doing recon was potentially deadly. Not only could she be killed in someone else's body, but her own body would be left vulnerable, easy pickings for any psychopath who happened to come across it. She didn't doubt that he would make it out though - he always did.

Well, everyone seemed to be more or less dividing up into how things were going to go, so that was something overall. Thalia turned to look at Jade when she came over and explained the whole sort of situation with Jakobsen and everyone outside of the city. Well, they were sort of going to end up dealing with a bunch of stuff, but at least they were going to be able to rely a bit on them gathering some reinforcements for them and all, that was a good thing. "We're splitting up into two main groups really, one to city hall to try and find the building plans, the rest of us to try and do some recon around the area we're going to infiltrate to get some more intel on what's going on there, Isley is going to see about making something that could potentially deal with a large crowd and knock out the goons in the inner part of the city to make things easier for us," Thalia explained simply to Jade about everything.

Pietro nodded a bit to Guin as she spoke, and he thought for a moment on how best to respond. "...I can understand that sort of thinking Guina... And yeah, I kind of am tired of it all too..." he admitted to her softly. This was tiring in general, and they didn't know how things were going to go in all. Though he was preferring to potentially stay a bit more optimistic in general about it, well, as much as he really could given their situation and all.

"Everyone try not to get yourselves killed, since things are not exactly the best out there really..."

"See you later Guina," Pietro said to her, before giving her a kiss and a smile, before zipping to stand by Lance and Carolina, "Alright you two, hang on," he commented, before there was a gust of wind and the three of them were gone.

Turning her attention back towards the others, Thalia looked at the group a bit that was going on recon, they'd likely need to split up once they were out of the tunnels in general in order to cover more ground. "Let's get going then, no use sitting around here to do nothing about things right?" Thalia added, before she headed out of the sewer tunnels and led the way back up above ground going back the way they had entered from. The area they would enter in was eerily quiet, but fairly normal really due to the city's population. "Alright, we need to see about maybe splitting up a bit more to cover more ground around the outside of the city, once again, who wants to pair up with who? If needed, I can easily do a flyover via the sky to see if I can spot anything, but if I'm up there for too long, they definitely will know that we're out and about and might cause even more problems for us."

Meanwhile, with Carolina, Lance and Pietro, they'd reach city hall, or at least, the remains of what used to be city hall. The building was rundown and very deserted, clearly in an area that not too many people went to. They'd be able to enter the building, and it was incredibly dusty and filthy on the inside, not to mention the usual smell of dead bodies decomposing. Even considering the fact that they were likely used to that sort of smell, it would still be a little nauseating.

Lance instantly went a little ahead, looking around, "Okay, so the archives that would likely have paper copies of everything including building plans and codes and all of that should be down in a sort of basement area... So we probably should look for the nearest stairs down to have an easier time trying to find them... And of course, we're hoping that those sort of things are still here and just haven't been touched. But based on the state of things, they likely haven't been messed with..." he said with a bit of a shrug. This was definitely going to be a bit of a fun scavenger hunt in general with everything.

"Honestly, doesn't look like this building has been touched in general. So looks to me like our odds are pretty good that everything will still be where it was a year ago."

"I mean maybe, but let's be realistic, everything being perfectly fine is not really something I expect. There could be water damage or something still, plus let's be honest, the entire interior of that building could have been messed with."

"Just trying to be optimistic, seems like half the time someone has to be since everyone else is always so down... Might as well try to see things from the bright side..."

Carolina Reed

Location: New York City Sewers -> City Hall
Skills: N/A

Carolina looked at Edus and nodded towards him, it seemed like it was just going to be her, Pietro and Lance going down there to find the building plans then. "Lets get going then." Carolina said to Pietro as he picked her and Lance off and sped the two of them off to City Hall. She still wasnt super used to going at that kind of speed as Carolina stumbled slightly as he let her go, as she looked up at the building the building looked like it had seen better days. Carolina started to head up and into the building everything seemed to be abandoned, she could smell the dead bodies as they laid about and shuddered slightly feeling bad for all the people who had lost their lives here.

"Lets just find what we need and get back, this place is kinda creepy." Carolina said to both Pietro and Lance as she looked around the hallways, before finding a door that led down to the basement level of the building. Due to the power being off there wasnt any kind of light, luckily Pietro had some flashlights on him. "Thank you." Carolina said to Pietro as she headed down the stairs and started to search around the basement of building blueprints.

Cassandra Reed

Location: New York City Sewers
Skills: N/A

Cassandra looked at Jade as she came back and told them that she made contact with the outside and that they were going to be sending some help whenever the time was right which was a good thing then. Luckily Thalia was able to fill her in on what the plan was, she turned to look at her sister. "Stay safe." Cassandra told her as Pietro sped off to go with the building plan search, she started to make her way back up the ladder the way that they had came from earlier.

She didnt really like the idea of splitting up, again but they did need to cover more ground rather quickly as Cass looked at Thalia and nodded towards her. "I'm fine if you are willing to do the areal search, just stay safe." Cassandra said as she thought for a moment on who she wanted to go with. Thalia would be doing the air search, that just left her with Edus, Jade and Guin to go with, she had a feeling that Guin would rather strangle Jade than work with her. "I'll go with Jade if she wants to go with me up to her." Cass said.

Thalia answered Jade's question. The City hall group headed off. He had wished that one of his group had been with them, but Pietro couldn't carry more than two people and Carolina had been so insistent that Lance join her. He hoped that they'd at least be smart enough to keep an eye out on the outside of the building in case of someone following them, or bad luck.

He turned to Cassandra, "Alright you can work with Jade. I'll work with Guin and Thalia. Thalia will cover aerial reconnaissance. We'll work in two separate groups, but within shouting distance so if something goes down we can support each other." That at least split Guin and Jade up. He did not need them fighting with each other during this. He straightened his coat and started out of the hide out the group had.

Jade nodded, listening to the plan that Thalia had relayed to them. It wasn't too horrible - perhaps even passable. The main concern she had was these people didn't seem to know what they were doing, and prematurely alerting Magneto to their intentions could be catastrophic. They couldn't sit around and do nothing though. Jade just had to hope that these people could be quiet and do recon properly. The not-so-subtle speedster at least wouldn't be probing Magneto's lines with them, so that gave them a bit of a chance, and the loudmouth ginger also wouldn't be joining them. Maybe this would work. "Lovely," Jade said, her words relatively clipped. "Perhaps this won't be a complete disaster."

Jade went with the small group that was doing recon, heading out of the tunnels. Cassandra, one of the older members, volunteered to go with her. Jade sized her up for a moment. It was better than taking the actual child with her. "Fine, suppose us ex-pats ought to stick together," Jade said, joking ever so slightly at the end - as she knew that Cassandra was also British, just on the basis of Cass' accent alone. "I'd advise against shouting. We can communicate using the devices Jakobsen sent us in with. Shouting might ruin any element of surprise we'd hope to keep."

Guinevere Stark

Guin nodded slightly, knowing that Pietro was trying to cheer her up and stay positive - and she appreciated it, she really did - but sometimes everything that had happened would just weigh on her, feeling like all of the trauma and tragedy was going to just bury her alive. She didn't even think about what she would do when all of this was over - she didn't plan to have a future as she was suffocating over her past. She didn't really get to open up about that though, as the silver lady broke up the conversation. Pietro said that he would see her later and he gave her a kiss, before rushing off. "... Bye, babe," Guin said quietly. He was gone now and Guin tried to mentally give herself a little shake, just to get out of this bad headspace, so she could have her head back in the game.

Her group was heading out of the tunnels now and Guin went with them. It was a little easier to shake her depressive mood, mostly as Jade had come back and the British woman's every word made Guin want to gag. It was like watching BBC Sherlock all over again, fully aware of all the horrible queer-baiting and that the show would only get a little worse each year. "So many fucking Brits here," Guin said, shaking her head slightly. "Guess we should get started then. Pip pip cheerio god save the queen and all that nonsense."

City Streets
"I can also just go and check in with both groups from time to time so we aren't having to yell out any sort of updates and such just so everyone knows what's going on, just to ensure I'm not in the air for too long, otherwise they'd likely notice me easily, and to ensure that we aren't alerting them to our presence unless we actually have to..." Thalia commented as her wings started to sort of appear on her back and extend out to the sides. "I suppose I'll see you in a little while then."

She instantly took off into the sky, soaring up above one of the buildings and out of easy view of the others. It was moments like this where she sort of wished that she could turn invisible, since then she wouldn't have to risk them easily spotting her or even really knowing that she is there in general. Being spotted would likely end badly, and she was preparing herself for the possibility that she'll be shot out of the sky or something if she gets spotted. She's more of planning on potentially hopping from rooftop to rooftop to hopefully not be seen too easily.

As for the others, they'll easily be able to get closer to the area where Magneto's goons have set up base. They'll hear the noise getting a bit louder and voices easily being heard from the distance that they were at. Eventually, they would be fairly close to the area, where it might be better to potentially split up and cover more ground that way. If they looked up, they'd be able to spot Thalia on a nearby rooftop, but other then that they'd see no one, unless they got more into the area that is.

City Hall
Lance just sort of followed along towards the stairway that Carolina had found downwards, with Pietro flicking on a flashlight as he followed along. He rolled his eyes slightly, before he lifted his hand and a ball of light appeared, allowing him to see more easily his surroundings. It did help that he was more or less able to conjure up some form of light The basement area wasn't exactly very big, just more or less a hallway with a few doors along it leading into the few rooms that were in the area.

"Shouldn't be too far along I'd think. Then again there aren't too many potential options for that or whatever," he commented with a shrug, before glancing at the various doors. Pietro was getting a little bit bored though, thinking this was going way too slowly, and started racing around at the least opening up the doors to poke his head inside before screeching to a halt right next to a room a few doors down from the staircase.

"This one, pretty sure, only one that looks like it might be the one we're looking for," he said to them, before stepping inside. Lance went up to the door and walked in, entering a room with what looked to be several shelves filled with boxes and various filing cabinets sort of scattered around the room. There was a bit of a musty sort of smell in the room, and it definitely was just as rundown and all as the rest of the building, but this definitely looked to be the room that would have the plans for the building. Lance walked up to one of the filing cabinets, and with a bit of work, he managed to get it open, though the cabinets were stiff and seemed like they might need some force to open.

Edus Penior

Skill: Stealth

"It is a figure of speech, Jade." Ed shook his head smiling. And walked with Guin. "I'm Welsh actually." Ed didn't consider himself British even if Cardiff was part of the UK. He could understand the confusion though. Especially thanks to mainstream television. It didn't help that the BBC was basically based in Cardiff. But they had their own parliament.

As they approached an area where some of Magneto's men were set up Ed slowed down. In a low and quiet voice, he said. "We should split up here. Head in different directions and see what we can find. Meet back here in twenty." He gestured for Guin to follow him and started in one direction. Letting Jade and Cassandra go the other way. They could cover more ground this way.

"I want to listen in and see if these guys are talking about anything important. And see if we can get a headcount." A good idea of how many people Magneto had working for him was their best bet in his opinion. They needed to know what sort of odds they had, beyond 'bad'.

The group wasn't talking about anything important, unfortunately. It also didn't seem to be anyone he had heard of, which wasn't totally surprising. But it also was a large group. He figured probably eight, maybe more. He backed away some.

Carolina Reed

Location: New York City Sewers -> City Hall
Skills: N/A

Carolina looked around the room some as she held out the flashlight and followed behind Lance and Pietro into the next room, she started to worry a little bit for her sister and the others. Even if it was just recon they still could get themselves caught or something like that, but they seemed to have the numbers though then their little group which was a good thing then. "I'm going to go and check over here." Carolina told the two of them as she headed down an aisle of boxes and shelves. She held out her flashlight and started to look at some of the files that were there.

Carolina then found a folder containing some maps of the surrounding streets near Madison Square Garden, though not something that they were looking for really it might still be a bit useful and grabbed it. "Have you guys found anything yet?" Carolina asked Lance and Pietro as she continued to search around.

Cassandra Reed

Location: New York City Sewers
Skills: N/A

Cassandra looked at Jade for a moment and nodded towards her as she waved towards the others. "Sounds like a plan then, if anyone gets into any trouble radio one another." Cassandra said as she started to head in the opposite direction of where Ed and Guin were going, and headed down another area, ocasionally Cass would hide behind some cover.

She didnt see to many people in the area at the moment as Cass turned her attention over towards Jade. "Do you see anything?" Cass asked her, hoping that Jade would be able to find something that she might have missed. She knew that her sister was going to be alright they had Pietro with them and he could get her and Lance out of there pretty quickly as well to.

Jade Cornish

Jade raised an eyebrow at Edus and his insistence it was a figure of speech - she wasn't too confident in that with this group. They had already shown themselves to be ineffective and ill-equipped, so she wasn't going to trust that they would know to not start shouting in the middle of this mini-operation. She wasn't even, if she was being honest, that confident in Edus' and Thalia's abilities - they weren't spies, they had never been agents of any sort. But at any rate, Jade went off with Cassandra in the other direction once they got nearer to some of Magneto's group, her careful skills of observation already coming in handy.

"Yeah, I see things," Jade told Cass simply, keeping her tone light and quiet. The area was rather sparse for the sort of population she'd expect in this zone of the city, there was hardly anyone present. "Or rather, the absence of things. This area is a weak point - it's under-guarded," Jade finished. This would do nicely. They'd be able to sneak in through here and make it to Magneto without facing as much resistance as she had anticipated.

Guinevere Stark

Guin shrugged, not really caring that Edus was Welsh - to her, that was just another word for British, like how both people from California and Florida were part of the United States. She didn't think deeply about the history and distinctions that people might think about when it came to stuff like that. "Love that for you," she said absentmindedly, walking off in the same direction that Edus had, away from Cassandra and blegh Jade. She did wish she could have gone off with Cassandra. She had known Cassandra longer than just about anyone else in the group, besides Lance of course.

There was some of Magneto's men nearby, near enough for them to spy on them ever so slightly without being seen. There was a dozen or so from what Guin could tell - maybe more, maybe less. But more importantly, she didn't recognize any of them. "They're all relatively new players, I don't know any of them," she whispered to Edus, knowing that that would be helpful information to have. If this was the area Magneto's amateurs were guarding, this could be a weak point to exploit.
