Kray is correct only generation one suits at the start of this roleplay. Maybe later but I doubt it the Freedom is rather OP when it's not used by Kira. Because you know just spam and kill EVERYTHING within the next battlefield radius.

Also I decided to go with Calamity it's a good support unit despite it being grounded. It will prevent Richard from stealing spotlight from other characters. Also it's more or less was made in 71 and it is considerably less powerful than other suits such as say Justice or Akatsuki depending on the pilot. Orga was a boss.

Calamity was made from the designs of Buster gundam but it was made "In mid CE 71" so the time line fits. For the sake of convenience let's just assume it's just another model. If it is such a big deal to the others I will switch to Buster itself.

I think it's safe to say we should just shy away from anything that has a Neutron Jammer Canceller installed, AKA Freedom, Justice, and Providence.

Strike, Buster, Duel, Aegis, Raider, Forbidden, Blitz, and that's about it. Grunt suits are also acceptable.

I mentioned it briefly earlier, but would it still be permissible for me to create a modified Astray?

Can't decide between Aegis or Duel? Will the option to customize come in later? I can see potential upgrades for Duel's detachable armor pieces (AKA bits).

I'd personally just take one of the already made Astrays since they seemed rather good but it's all good here just remember that'd be a rather advanced piece of tech. My guy won't be the designated pilot for calamity off the bat himself since it is a OMNI Enforcer model.

Customization later will be allowed.

Well, if no-one has a problem with it I'll probably end up going with the Strike if that's okay (yay, versatility!). Either that or a mook unit, but... Hmmm.

Oh, what customization is there wouldn't be too significant yet. Most of the Astray tech that really gets cool isn't even invented until a bit further in the timeline anyway. XD In all likelihood, most customization would come later.

CS'll likely be finished by tomorrow, perhaps sooner.

Go ahead and pick Strike but remember it's versatility may be a bit hampered in actual use so I'd think going with a different suit would be better. But that's just me do as you like Strike is a pretty good unit. It can at least fly and handle itself decently well in melee unlike my Calamity.

I'm personally done with Mr. Stone. He's more or less the Mu La Flaga of the group in terms of piloting ability.

I see the Strike as more of a jack of all trades, really, so if I do go with it I won't be making it dominate every combat situation (especially since my character is not our Lord and Saviour). XD Aside from the versatility (which is always good, since it would give me a few options to play with), the main reason I'm considering it is because it's been years since I last saw SEED and it's the one I remember most due to being the protag's MS. ^^;

...I do like the idea of starting with a mook suit before upgrading to something more substantial, though... I'll figure out what I'm doing for sure tomorrow, since it's 04:11 right now and that's not exactly the best time to come to decisions. ^^;

Upon reading, I've discovered something interesting; Most of the Astray models (And boy there are a lot of them. XD) were actually equipped with a hardpoint on their back, similar to the Strike's.

Naturally, my innate reaction to this as both someone fond of technology and Gundam is "What if someone tried to attach one of the Striker Packs to an Astray".

Fortunately, I don't think that's one thought that will ever leave the confines of my mind. XD Just noted it while I was reading and thought that those here might find the thought similarly amusing.

Working on my CS now, will likely either finish or be nearly finished before I sleep tonight.

Well, we've easily got three to four players, and that's a decent number. Especially for a storyline like the ones Gundam usually uses.
