The Holy Grail War. A battle Royale fought between seven Magi over the "Holy Grail" an omnipotent wish granting device. Unlike any other contest between Magi, this war utilizes Servants- The Spirits of long dead Heroes and Historical Figures- to fight in the stead of Magi. These Servants are far beyond any human or magus, and are capable of amazing feats of endurance, strength, agility, and cunning. Beyond that, Servants can bring to bear their trump card, the Noble Phantasm. With the Noble Phantasm, a Servant can replicate a crystallized feat from their past- Be it the use of a Holy or Demonic Sword they used, or a recreation of their ability to kill an enemy without a second strike.

To control these god-like beings, Magi are given Three Command Seals. They are three absolute orders- that must be spoken out loud. They are orders that cannot be ignored by a Servant. The more specific the order, the more powerful it is.

There are seven servants. Six must die for the Holy Grail to descend to this Earth and grant one wish with its limitless power.

Your origin is the basis of one's existence, your inner impulse at their most base terms. For example, Shirou Emiya's is "Sword". If your Elemental Affinity is not one of the Great Five Elements, your origin and element should be the same.

Number of Magic Circuits and Quality of Magic Circuits: A magus having 20 circuits is considered average.

Quality of Magic Circuits: The amount of magical energy each single circuit can sustain. 20 is considered average.

Magic Circuit Switch: (What activates your magic circuit. For example, Tohsaka Rin activates hers through the sound of stabbing herself in her heart. Emotions and feelings such as pain or sexual arousal also work)

Prana Tank: How much magical energy you can store. Prana Tank only affects battle in Bounded Fields. The average is 25 units of prana.

Magecraft: Includes all magecraft and magecraft related abilities like High Speed Aira the magus knows as well as that in the crest. If it's not here then your magus does not know it. The place you should put Sorcery Traits and Finalities.

Mystic Codes and Equipment: A magus' tool. Usually either an amplifier, or limited effect type. Equipment would be items totally unrelated to magecraft.

As a general, Rider is also very pragmatic, though still willing to show mercy to worthy opponents and showing preference to battling with a sense of honor.

The crystallization of Napoleon's army. However, rather than summoning the Grande Armée itself, Napoleon summons forth its legendary firepower.

Using this Noble Phantasm, Napoleon can deploy multiple guns and cannons at will, allowing for a very versatile Noble Phantasm. Additionally, each piece counts as its own separate Phantasm, meaning if Rider breaks one, it doesn't break the whole set. In terms of power based on the standard damage/Strength scale, generally muskets are around E-Rank, rifles are around D-Rank, motars are around C-Rank, area of effect cannons are around B-Rank, and precision cannons are around A-Rank.

In life, Marengo was wounded eight times and still managed to carry Rider through the Napoleonic Wars. Thus, it was crystallized as the concept of 'absorbing eight mortal wounds'. So long Marengo is near Rider, any eight mortal wounds that were to heavily damage Rider will affect Marengo instead. However, after eight wounds, Marengo will disappear.

The strength of vitality for predicaments. Also, the ability to withdraw from combat and reach allied territory alive after being defeated.

A+: Makes possible to fight even with deadly injuries and can remain alive so long as one does not destroy the brain.

The aptitude to merge one's own flesh with body parts of others. The higher the ranking in this skill, the further away one is from being a proper hero.

Zabaniya: Delusional Graverobber

The bodily alteration of one who received the title of Hassan-i Sabbah. In this case, the integration of a ghul - different from Nasuverse!Ghouls, these are a type of shapeshifting jinn that dwells in deserts and burial grounds, and consumes the dead, among other things - into oneself.

This ability allows Assassin to integrate the body parts of the deceased into his own body. Upon invoking the name of his Zabaniya, Assassin can fashion his raw bodily materials into whatever he pleases, limited only by the amount of material he has available. While this use is mostly activated to assist in combat ability, it does possess the ability to change into one of the deceased it has consumed, assuming the entire corpse was integrated... However hiding the extra body mass from all the other corpses is a whole different problem entirely. In addition to its bodily integration aspect as well an increase in Strength and Endurance parameters depending on the amount and quality of the bodies at hand. Unfortunately, after consuming somewhere between 10-20 bodies, or one Servant or Master, Assassin's mentality will begin to degrade, at a rate equal to Mental Pollution of (E-)-Rank. This increases to E, D, and so on for every Servant or Master integrated, while mundane corpses will only increase it by a +, with 4 +'s equating to a Rank-Up. This effect can be reduced a single rank by disposing of the attached bodies, though the rest of the ranks are permanent, and reintegrating the bodies not only restores it, but increases it further by how many bodies have been consumed.

Personality: For a guy whose job is all about killing people, Nigel is surprisingly friendly and optimistic. He understands that sometimes people need to die, but it isn't as if he's some killing machine with no emotions. He can actually be swayed into not putting a bullet into one's head, assuming that the person doing the swaying is someone he trusts or respects, and not merely a man begging for his life. He isn't really the type to consider lives 'disposable' whether they be human or not, and actually pretty emotional, all things considered. Lastly, due to a side effect of his Origin, Nigel fancies himself a bit of a storyteller and likes to make records of events.

Biography and Family History: The Cress family of magi is a rather old one. Though, despite the family's wide and varied history of magecraft, almost none of it matters since Nigel did not receive the family's Magic Crest. However, there is only one anecdote of notability: their participation in the Heaven's Feel of 1938, the Third Holy Grail War. Long story short, they ended up becoming pals with the von Einzberns after allying with them and survived the war.

Nigel himself was born in Cornwall as the latter of two twins. His juniority, compounded with his lack of inborn talent and odd Origin/Element combination made it quite obvious which of the twins was to get the Magic Crest. Despite this handicap, however, Nigel was still determined to study the craft, but due to his lack of a basic element, he was absolutely terribad at most of the family spells he could pick up from the library and eavesdropping on his brother's lessons. However, he noted that he was much better at using Runes, Bounded Fields, and Formalcraft rituals than anybody in his family. Unbeknownst to him, this was due to his Origin of "Composition".

Unlike the rest of his family, Nigel opted to join the Mage's Association, where he spent most of his teenage years learning Magecraft he could actually deal with. Unfortunately, he wasn't very well treated due to the status of the Rune and Formalcraft schools of Magecraft being looked down upon. Figuring that he had nothing left to lose in terms of reputation, he decided to join the Association's Enforcers. Quickly learning that he needed a way to equalize the skill gap between himself and many of the other Enforcers, Nigel decided to find inspiration in a rather odd place: Kiritsugu Emiya, the man known as the "Magus Killer". Sure, firearms were taboo within the Mage's Association, but hey, he was already looked down upon due to his profession and choice of Magecraft, so why the hell not equal things out a bit?

Eventually, after many, many Sealing Designate and Dead Apostle hunts, as well as many other events he doesn't wish to speak of, Nigel was contacted by the von Einzberns for participation in the same war his great grandmother had participated in. According to the von Einzberns, they had been watching his progress and examining his abilities once they had heard of him and the early reemergence of the Holy Grail, and wished to utilize his experience killing Magi to bring them victory in Heaven's Feel 5. They even offered to share the facilities of the Einzbern estate and provide a partner to share the burden of Master with. Naturally, the young man accepted.

However, Nigel has the sneaking suspicion that they just asked him because his brother denied their offer.

As previously mentioned, Nigel is absurdly proficient at using Runes, Formalcraft, and Bounded Fields. If those schools weren't so looked down upon, he'd likely have been considered some kind of prodigy. Despite his preference for the written forms of Magecraft, Nigel can use his Magic Circuits. Though it's mostly for Reinforcement and creating familiars using a variant form of Shikigami Exertion.

A modified M40A3 bolt-action sniper rifle with a thermal and a regular scope, and a grip and tripod. Its main upgrade, however is the custom forged bolt that etches non-elemental Runes onto their bullets. The Runes in question infuse the bullets with Prana to deal more damage and punch through barriers. Additionally, Nigel can etch specific Runes into individual bullets for different effects.

Seamstress: A
The capacity to create “threads”, “strings”, or “wires”, which may function physically, magically, or conceptually, so long as the user perceives what the strings are tying together. Strings can be to bind things together, to serve as a conduit to magical energy, to serve as a “bridge” between two states of affairs, and the like. Also grants the capacity to perceive and, if desired, “cut strings" in the form of severing connections between things which already are so long as she can perceive the things being severed from one another. Metaphysical constructs such as "will" can have strings involving them made/broken so long as she perceives their crux, IE for "will" the existence whose "will" is having a string involving it made/cut. Concepts may have strings made/broken in regard to them unlimited of distance, as there is no such thing as a concept's "location," however only non-alien concepts apply. However, the "thing" at the other end of the string must still be within perception. Construction/destruction of a string is a single action, and multiple strings may be created and destroyed simultaneously. The greatest of all mortal weavers, and one who will weave forever.

Monstrous Strength: -
Boost of STR for a time determined by the skill's rank. Existence becomes that of a spiderwoman, considered equivalent to a Monstrous Beast of the Millennium Rank. It is worth noting that this transformation is permanent. Once used, she can never return to human form.

Web Construction: A Plus
Allows for the creation of a "web" by injecting prana into the world and allowing it to flow along leylines, functionally making leylines and everything around them the threads of a web. The injection process itself is done briefly, but the process takes half a day to cover a full city. Can be considered an extension of the user's Territory Creation as a laying down of "threads" to make the city itself surrender, and so can only be initiated when the user is in her territory. If an existence dies while "on" her web, ergo in the field that is its area of influence, one-half of the dead's capability is added to Arachne's just as a spider consumes what dies on its web; unique abilities may not be gained by this, but ones that are possible for others to possess may. Further, the user gains the ability to perceive a full disclosive sketch of any existence upon her web in a manner not dissimilar from Presence Detection, regardless of concealment abilities or complexity, anything can be analyzed.

He has a playful attitude and takes a very carefree approach to life. He enjoys fishing, hunting, and hitting on cute girls. He is a proud warrior, someone who can't abandon a fight just because he's losing. He's ready to fight until the end, for the sake of his fighting will and also for his Master. He easily loses his cool, especially to insults calling him a dog.

He's not interested in killing innocent people, though he still strictly follows the rules of the war to kill bystanders like Shirou. He's very keen on his mission and somehow professional in his "work". He's noble and he can't really stand people who're joking with him or simply betraying his trust. He's also easily touched by others problems and if he chooses to protect someone, he'll do his best till the very end. He really enjoys dating women or simply to spending his time in relaxing hobbies like fishing.

He regretted nothing in his life, though it was one full of wrong turns. There may have been disappointment, but he does not regret his life one bit. His spear only took away the lives of his loved ones, his close friend and son, but it's only regret was that it had been meant to murder a single woman that he was unable to kill.

Under the effects of his Mad Enhancement, he becomes a mad killer, more beast then man, but at the same time a horrible threat all the same.

Personality: Katherine is strict and no-nonsense, always believing in the god's will. However, that seemingly cold outer layer is simply a protection she put up to prevent people from coming close to her - in her reasoning, she is an knight of the church and she should be devoted to her mission. She had no time for any distractions, particularly not some man trying lame pickup lines on her. She is quite charitable and is willing to extend mercy - to anything that is other than a dead apostle, heretic or anyone who would threaten the innocent. Then, she'll hunt you down like a wolf hunting down deer.

Appearance:

Biography and Family History: Katherine was born to parents who were devoted to the lord and the church, and as such was granted magic circuits as a miracle of the faith. However, after an accident in which they were killed she was orphaned; being dropped off in a church-run orphanage. Said orphanage was a training ground for future knights of the church, and as such she was trained in combat and to have absolute faith in god ever since she could walk, read and write. Joining the Chivalric Order of the Church at the age of 15, she fought the likes of Dead Apostles and Mages, earning quite a kill count. After five years as a member, Katherine was granted the title of Knight-Captain and given the Scripture she uses to this day.

When the next holy grail war was announced, the church decided to appoint someone more skilled than Risei, remembering the fiasco that the fourth holy grail war ended up becoming. As such, they appointed Katherine to become the next overseer of the Holy Grail war, and she swore to be impartial and ensure that each participant would compete following the rules, no matter how despicable she might find some of the participants to be.

Enchanted clothing: All clothing that Katherine owns, from the nun habit to her combat clothing, is enchanted by the church's protection spells.

Black Keys: Special Blades used by the church to combat beings such as Dead Apostles; the blade portion of the weapon is formed by passing prana through them. These blades do devastating damage to Dead Apostles. Katherine has several hilts of Black Keys with her at all times.

Pure Eyes: Eyes that allow Katherine to see someone's emotions through "color"; these eyes also allow Katherine to see spiritual entities such as dematerialized servants.

Unused Command Seals: Katherine owns all of the unused command seals of the holy grail wars. While they are normally meant to be offered as prizes for any missions Katherine deems necessary to announce, she can also use them to bolster her own magic when materializing Black Keys in self defence.

Holy Scripture: Prima Hostia: The Holy Scripture granted to Katherine upon her promotion to a Knight Captain, Prima Hostia can be said to be the "First" Black Key ever created. The actual "hilt" of the scripture is a bracelet which is forged from the horn of a unicorn. When activated, Prima Hostia takes the form of a lance which materializes around Katherine's arm, thus making the bracelet a "hilt" of sorts and giving it the designation of the first ever black key, although it's abilities are far superior to what any Black Key can do. Aside from being extremely effective on Dead Apostles and demons, the lance also enforces the concept of severing and binding.

Non-Magecraft Related Skills: As a Knight-Captain, she is able to perform extreme physical acts which would quickly tire any normal person out without even being winded, such as jumping ten metres into the air or carrying someone while running at full sprint. Having fought many battles against Dead Apostles and Mages, Katherine is able to remain calm and rational in the face of any opponent. When in hand to hand combat, she uses Super Bajiquan, which is the strange term used to describe Bajiquan infused with magecraft to make each strike and blow much more swift and powerful.

She is also extremely skilled in the act of using a computer is able to utilize one without accidentally summoning characters from Fate/Extra for more than five minutes. She is also able to record a tv program with Blu-Ray Recorders with only five minutes of struggle. Take that Tohsaka.

Personality: While retaining the basic personality of the Einzbern homonculus with a odd sadist streak and tendency towards sarcasm that seems to stem from the outside genetic material, she has a defect that manifests in having a strong temper and trouble emotionally connecting with people due to a harsh exterior, even if having a loving interior. This has been defined as "tsundere." Her ultimate wish for the grail would be to give herself a normal lifespan rather then the heavily abbreviated life of a homonculus.

Appearance: While from a vague glance she appears to be an attractive if somewhat scarred twenty-something, with black hair, odd yellow eyes, and abnormally pale skin, along with oddly prevalent "assets" and a penchant for long coats and long sleeves. Without long clothing, the full extent of her morpholgical abnormalities becomes apparent. Her skin, sans her head, neck, hands, and a few other areas is covered in a white, segmented exoskeleton with black "accents" and spots.

Biography and Family History: Around two decades ago, Heinrich Zepter, or what was left of the man inside the monster he had created, was killed by Kiritsugu Emiya and his mentor for his... unorthdox human expieriments and sheer revelry in them. Of course, Kiritsugu could not allow such a man's Magecraft to be destroyed, and attempted to destroy it rather then let it be kept and allow someone else to use it. Of course, he simply burned the flesh using an incindeary grenade, rather then allow the horrible noxious fumes to strangle him. Of course, assuming a man such as Zepter hadn't prepared for this, even despite his madness, was somewhat absurd. The family he had long ago abandoned quietly came and found the damaged crest, repairing it using what traces of their Magecraft they had retained, along with genetic samples, for no reason they could readily ascertain. The family eventually managed to reintergrate their Magecraft, and fled to their native Germany in order to escape the fate which could await them if they held their ground. There, they by chance met the Einzbern family, and found they had much more common ground then one would initially expect. Eventually the heir of the family, Heinrich's son, was married to a spare homunculus, and told to perform joint research in order to synthesize a new, stronger, backup Grail in case of the failure of the natural-born homunculus Illyasiel. The sweet, sweet "joint research" (intercourse) that produced Ameise about 6 years ago. In-womb modifications, like those performed on Ilya, helped shape this child into a secondary grail and homunculus based on Justica. Her odd (for an Einzbern homunculus) appearance is due to body modification in order to make herself "stand out" as it were, along with certain survival based enhancements. Was eventually partially given the Zepter crest to give her a higher chance of survival in case of her being utilized as the Grail.

Wish Granting- Spellcasting without possessing the knowledge of the spell itself; to skip the thaumaturgical process altogether and recreate miracles just through the use of prana. Still bound to the limitations of the Magic Circuits.

Magecraft: Transmutation- Magecraft that uses prana to change, alter, or better an object or material, along with the creation of homonculi and so on.
Spirtual Surgery- A "curse" that can remove a part of the soul without using a single physical manipulation of the target body. It is more or less healing spirtual damage (including that of the circuits) and being able to remove things such as cursed areas and command seals, though it requires a still patient. No matter how great this healing method is, it is only a contact treatment relying on the body. It is nothing close to a miracle that allows connection with the "soul.
Healing Magecraft- This brand of Magecraft is based around the concept of restoration, and in a very basic form holds similarities to the Curse of Restoration of Dead Apostles. In theory, this Magecraft, using the image of the body contained within the soul, attempts to reverse damage and expel foreign bodies (shrapnel, bullets, poisons, piercings) from said body, with the Prana and count needed depending on the extent of the damage. Severed limbs (or new ones, considering this is the Zepter) can be reattached by holding it close to where it should be and utilizing healing, reconnecting the bone and blood vessels.

Zepter Necromancy- The virtually "perfect" "resurrection" of the body, it allows for giving life to corpses in a manner that could be compared to the literary Frankenstein, even if the body has been "distorted" in a sense.

Zepter Body Modification- In the nature of their necromantic expieriments, it is not only the modification of the human body from a natural standpoint, but also the joining of disparate parts and bodily traits in living organisms, allowing for everything from changing minor parts of appearence to growing the exoskeleton she currently has, and so on,

Mystic Codes and Equipment:

Insectile Adaptations- As per Zepter expieriments in order to improve the survival chances of their homunculi jointed created from a marriage with the Einzbern, Ameiseviel has received several "enhancements" that serve to adapt insectile traits to her human form. For example, most of her body has been covered in an incredibly tough exoskeleton modeled after the Ironclad Beetle, or Zopherus nodulosus haldemani, which allows her to shrug off 9x19mm Parabellum rounds without issue. She has also been granted with greatly enhanced reflexes and, due to heavy muscle modification based on ants and other insects, allows her to lift something roughly 10x her weight and punch with the force of a 9mm pistol round. If need be, this exoskeleton can be relatively quickly shed and regrown in order to allow access to her "human" body.

Magus Blood Tank- As with any focused surgeon, spare blood is needed. In the Zepter's case, they have requisitioned a tank of roughly 10 gallons of potent Magus blood through sources in the Clocktower for surgical purposes.
