Kathy instantly recognized the lion from the party the night before. It was a little difficult to miss a big, white lion making its way through a student cafeteria. She was so surprised to see the big cat there that the girl beside him, despite her unique attire, seemed rather ‘normal’ in comparison. “Hi Little Feather, nice to meet you. I’m Kathy.” She smiled in a friendly manner, but her gaze kept going down to the lion by the girl’s side. She was trying not to be rude, but she just couldn’t help herself.

She smiled gratefully at Zivon when he invited Eric to join them for dinner. Kathy had wanted to invite him herself, but didn’t want to add pressure to Zivon in case he felt uncomfortable about inviting a stranger along.

Giving everyone another final wave good-bye, she turned to Eric and pointed towards the cafeteria exit. “Let’s get going.” She took a few steps away from the table before hesitating a bit, then turning to look at Little Feather she added, “Um, sorry to leave as soon as you got here. We’re going to the library if you’re interest. If not, hope you have fun with everyone here.”

Bael - Cuddling ^-^

"It's... bearable." Lily told him and tried to push away, but Bael's embrace only grew tighter around the girl.

"Bearable is no good, we have to find a way to get you rid of this headache." As Bael spoke as he glanced down at her, offering a smile of his own. "So don't think about it for now, then. Are you sure you don't want to rest or something? It might help." While the boy was talking, he raised his eyes towards Matt, catching the glare for a moment. He didn't seem to care about it; not a single facial expression or a word in response was gave, after all, but he made a mental note that this... Matthew would become a problem, but what sort of problem was still unclear to Bael. The boy suggested the nurse to Lily, Bael simply glanced at her and was relieved to see a negative response. That nurse was... dangerous.

The demon exhaled a soft sigh, moving one of his hands to poke Lily's forehead with his index finger. "Hey, rather than resting... How about we take a walk? We could check the campus, or even go outside." He casually suggested, eyeing her over while waiting for a response.

Matt - Main Office
"I know it's not your fault. However, we need to find out who or what did this to you. Where and when did you wake up this way?" Matt asked. Bael needed to be dealt with, but later. If Lily was put back to her original state, she would probably realize what was going on. Besides, friends first.

Dani - The Cafeteria
Dani silently sat as the others chatted. He didn't know what to say. It seemed like they had already been in a conversation when he arrived, and he didn't want to interrupt anything.
Eventually, Kathy got up and waved goodbye at everyone.
"Let's go," she told the boy who Dani didn't know the name of.
"Where are you going?" asked Dani.

Lily - Still Being Cuddled

"Bearable is no good, we have to find a way to get you rid of this headache." She listened to him, a smile forming on her face. It was nice to be cared for once in a while... "So don't think about it for now, then. Are you sure you don't want to rest or something? It might help." Bael told her after she explained why it started hurting. She nodded slowly.

Yeah... Rest might help.

"Hey, rather than resting... How about we take a walk? We could check the campus, or even go outside." Bael added at the end after sighing and poking her on the forehead. She giggled lighthearted and shook her head excitedly.

"Yeah! I could fly around for a bit. It'll probably help take my mind off of all of this." She exclaimed, smiling brightly up at Bael. The smiled faded when Matt started asking questions. He questions only made her head hurt worse. "I don't... I don't know, Matt. Every time I t-try to think about it. My head starts... p-pounding." She tried to explain through the waves of pain. It wasn't very sharp like before but enough to make her want to change the subject. "I just want to go relax... Thinking about it isn't... helping me." She explained to the boy.

Little Feather

Little Feather played with a tassle on her dress her smile fading slowly, a feeling of awkwardness descending to rest in her stomach. Lion’s tail flicked as he looked up at Little Feather feeling her discomfort. Say something else, something they can react to Lion hummed low in his throat, it wasn’t a threatening noise but it may have surprised a few people. Little Feather glanced sidelong at Lion, for a moment before looking back at the students. She exhaled inwardly as one of them introduced herself, her smile returning she watched though as Kathy’s eyes drifted to rest on Lion. “This is Lion, he won’t hurt anyone...he’s a big softie” Little Feather grinned at her, rubbing Lion between his ears. Big softie huh? Lion purred in response to her. Her face fell a little as Kathy turned to another student and pointed at the exit. She rubbed her hands together nervously in front of her, looking at the other students uncertainly. She looked up blinking as Kathy turned back and spoke to her again.

“Um, sorry to leave as soon as you got here. We’re going to the library if you’re interest. If not, hope you have fun with everyone here.”

Little Feather’s smile returned and she took a little hop forward. “I’m interested!” She blurted out, hopping in front of Kathy and past her towards the cafeteria doors Kathy had pointed to. Lion tilted his head to the side, trotting leisurely after her as she moved off. “Thank you for inviting me along...and talking to me” Little Feather thanked Kathy as they moved along the hallways heading towards the library. Lion padded alongside them as they walked, blue eyes watching the other students curiously. “I...erm don’t know the way to the library” She announced, dropping back to walk the other side of Lion, playing with a ring on her right hand as she walked. “First day here...technically” She grinned. “Although I was here last night, I’m not sure I like parties...it was a little too chaotic” She continued speaking, it was like a nervous gabble. “You’re not...like those two people last night are you?” She asked looking at Kathy and Eric questioningly. Slow down a bit Little Feather, you’re chewing their ears off Lion rumbled next to her, butting her leg with his head. “Oh...I’m sorry, I’m babbling” Little Feather apologized, staring down at her hands.

- Leroy

Raising a slight eyebrow at the guy’s transformation into a cat, though his smile never faltered, he gave the purple animal a small pat on the head before getting back to work. ‘A little unexpected.’ Leroy thought, listening to Carmen’s solo. Considering the night’s events he would have thought she would pick a darker piece, or one that was bursting full of loud dynamics and quick notes. ‘The calm after a storm perhaps? Interesting.’

His smile remained on his face, but his eyes were now focused with incredible concentration as his brush danced across the white paper along with the music. Stopping only every so often to dip his brush into some water or ink, it was incredible how fast he was working. Yellow, orange, and red were his main colors. Just tints of black to accent lines to make them clear, and barely visible bubbles of blue and purple acted like little specs of light. The Carmen in his painting was playing her trumpet with a slight smile, holding her instrument up high towards the sky with streams of bright light enveloping her figure. He didn't bother with backgrounds.

A few minutes after Carmen finished her piece, Leroy finished up his painting as well. It was difficult to believe he managed to produce something of that level in such a short period of time. He could certainly do even better, but it was definitely a work of art. Of course, his own ability helped with that. In his work he decided to depict ‘Pride’. It was a good painting to look at if anyone needed some boost with their self-esteem, or a slight cheer-up.

First showing his finished work to the cat beside him, he waved Carmen over as he asked, “What do you think?”

Oona - Garden

she realized she had been staring at the pond for awhile and decided she had to do something and pulled out her schedule
"weird school" she muttered "no times, maybe we can just go, so ... i guess i should try swim class then"

so she stood up and hurried to her room, her stuff was still in her room, as it had been the day before and she quickly found her swim suit, which was in a small gym bag, mostly by itself. and headed out towards the pool.

as she walked she threw her hair up in a braid and then wound it up into a bun and pinned it in place.
when she got to the pool, there were a few people there and someone who appeared to be some kind of teacher
Oona walked over to him "is this the swim class?"
the man nodded "locker rooms over there, you have a swimsuit right?"
"yes"
"go get changed and you can take the swim test, if you need any individual help come to me"
"alright, thank you"
and she hurried off and got changed.

of course the swim test was easy and so she just started swimming around in the deep end.

Zivon

He continued to look at the lion until Kathy introduced herself to her she then left with Eric to the library. "Where are you going?" asked Dani, right he wasn’t really here when Kathy said she was going to the library. “Th-ey are bo-th going to the li-brary.” Zivon answered his question. He turned back to Eric and answered his question. “It’s in m-y dorm, roo-m one one one, at sev-en or eig-ht.”

“This is Lion, he won’t hurt anyone...he’s a big softie” The girl or little feather said that her lion was a big softie, which is cutie and made him want to pet the lion. She then agreed to go with Kathy and Eric to the library. Now he was there with Dani and another girl that he had not seen. He looked back at Dani, trying to think of a conversation then he thought of asking what classes he has. “O-h, what a-re your cla-sses?”

Seven

He purred as the boy pet his head while he watched him paint; it was interesting to see how the boy worked. The colors looked vibrate, the movement felt so loose and free. He was sort of in trance with it. The music of the girl had a vibe of boldness then a hint of lightness. He wasn’t really much an art of music know it all but he knew some stuff and the two…defiantly work interestingly well. The boy showed his painting to him first, seeing the sight or the art. Seven wanted to…touch the art, he even laughed at the thought of maybe it will lead somewhere. “What an spectacular performance!” he said to the boy.

Bael - Shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot~

Bael was happy and relieved that she seemed to enjoy the idea; she even became noticeably better. If she took her mind of those things, she'd be just fine, otherwise... The boy shot a glare towards Matthew when he asked her those questions, apparently bringing up the same headache from before. The demon took a step forward, releasing Lily from his embrace, finally.

"Listen! I'm aware that you're trying to help, but you're harming her. None of us know what exactly happened to her! And I'm sure that asking her questions won't help, what could we do, anyway? We have absolutely no idea of what happened." With a grunt, Bael grabbed Lily's arm and pulled her close to him, his other hand reaching up towards her face; he'd gently grab her cheek, running his thumb over it while staring inside her eyes.

"Try to forget all of this for now, Lily! I promise I will do everything I can to help you recover your memories." The boy smiled brightly, moving himself closer to her, planting a soft kiss on her forehead. "And if I can't do that, then I will help you create the best memories ever!"

Lily - You're so f-cking cute and I can't stand it

He pulled away from Lily, walking closer to Matt and seemed to... shout at him. "Listen! I'm aware that you're trying to help, but you're harming her. None of us know what exactly happened to her! Confusion swept over her like a tidal wave. She never been treated like this by one of her friends. She blinked and then chuckled slightly, a smile growing her face.

Whatever. He's just being kind. He's probably just worried about me. Though... he never did answer my question...

"Try to forget all of this for now, Lily! I promise I will do everything I can to help you recover your memories." Bael told her, smiling brightly. He leaned over and gave her small kiss on her forehead.

She grinned up at him and nodded. "Mhmm!" She exclaimed excitedly. He was making her feel better and it was possibly the most anyone had ever done for her in her life.

"And if I can't do that, then I will help you create the best memories ever!" He finished, the bright smile never fading. Lily smiled up and him and wrapped her arms around him.

"Thank you, Bael." She mumbled before pulling away and floating over toward the exit. She turned to face Matt, the same smile on her face. She fluttered over to him and placed a gentle kiss on his forehead. "Thanks to you too for trying to help me." She told him, a bright smile planted on her face. "Come with us, if you want!" She called out, heading for the door that led outside.

Matt watched the two snuggling, and it felt like his world had fallen apart. Lily, Matt's best friend, his only true friend, had forgotten him. He had been replace by someone else. He showed no emotion, but inside he was being torn apart. Everything faded away. Nothing. Nothing mattered anymore. He heard nothing, saw nothing.

He turned and walked calmly away without saying a word, not hearing a word that was spoken to him. He didn't know where he was going, but he just walked. He left the building and walked down a garden path. He passed by a couple of students who laughed together. Others were sitting on park benches, chatting. Matt didn't notice.

He eventually got to a secluded part of the garden, and sat on the ground by a pond, watching the fish swim around.

Dani
"I totally forgot about classes! Oops. At least we don't have to go, right?" Dani said with a smile. He pulled the piece of paper out of his pocket.
"Let's see, I have Math, English, Science, Sculpting, Astrology, and Latin. I'm going to be skipping Latin, however. I don't even know why I signed up for that." Dani laughed. Most people ended up with classes because their parents made them. Dani either didn't have any parents, or didn't know who or where they were.

Bael was feeling...

What exactly is this?

It aches, but I feel good about myself.

The sensation of saying the right thing? Doing the right thing?

I haven't done something right yet.

The boy just raised a hand to pat Lily's head when she embraced him, laughing softly afterwards. He tilted his head up, watching how she floated towards Matt, even inviting him to come with them. Damn, say no. Urgh. Apparently Bael could induce people with his own hopeful thoughts: The boy didn't say a single word before turning his back to them and leaving, the scene was nearly dramatic but all it did was bring a wide smile to Bael's face. Yeah, it's not like you matter, anyway. The boy followed towards the door which would take them to the campus, gesturing vaguely towards Lily with his hands.

"Don't feel bad about him." The demon's eyes sparked up, a smile so wide in his face that his teeth were dangerously close to reflecting the light... Not really, but you know, he's smilling. "I heard theres a bookstore on the campus, hmm! Oh, and a clothes store... You know, we should take a walk there."

Taking a few steps towards the exit, the boy tried to reach over and wrap a hand around Lily's waist (if she wasn't floating, that is, if she was... he'd just try to grab her hand). "I haven't seen how earth actually is, you know..." His glance shifted towards the ground, though he kept his smile. "Though I've came well prepared, heh It seems everything you need to have fun in here is..." With his free hand, he briefly searches his jeans' pocket before taking some strange looking paper. Money, obviously. "This." He exclaimed, now grinning like an excited kid about to do something devilish.

Christopher - Problems at the arrival

You know, sometimes things happens and you can't help but feel terrible about yourself while you spend the night at a cheap hotel because your sense of direction is terribly warped. That's exactly what happened to Christopher; the boy got lost after taking the wrong bus and ended up... somewhere. He had no idea. He wandered for hours trying to find Athalia's Academy and was already starting to believe that it did not exist and that he had been lied to... Which made him apologize thirty-five times to God for thinking such thing of his mentors. They'd never lie to him, so it had to be somewhere. After wandering aimlessly until night, the boy had decided to sleep in an hotel (a cheap one, even) to resume his search at the other day.

And so he did, the boy departed very early in the morning and with some help, he managed to find himself standing in front of Athalia's Academy. It looked... normal, was this really it? His oddly orange colored eyes scanned the place, the boy humming softly as he began to walk forward. No one stopped him from entering, and so he made his way to the main office. So far, so good. So good that he was growing suspicious of how a school 'for special students' was so quiet and normal. He didn't loiter around for too long in the main office, after confirming his identy and getting a small paper with his room's numbers the boy hurriedly left towards the dorm's building, wishing to get in his room as soon as possible. He needed to put that thing somewhere, it was heavy and his arm was already starting to hurt.

Finally, his room. Not only his, but someone's else too. He had no idea that he'd be sharing a room, but oh well. The boy placed his bag down, relieved to be finally freed from it's torturing height. Now... What was he supposed to do? Classes, right.

The boy took five minutes to enter and leave the room and was carrying nothing, as he wasn't even sure if classes were the same. He was walking around pretty distracted in his own thoughts, trying to figure out how would this all be; he couldn't deny feeling slightly anxious after all things were pretty different from before and there were plenty of opportunities to both meet new friends and become stronger; as a person and as a lightbringer. Christopher hoped everything would go well.

Zivon

"I totally forgot about classes! Oops. At least we don't have to go, right?" Dani said with a smile. “Yo-u don’t nee-d to?” Zivon was surprised with that thought; he wasn’t really paying attention during the opening ceremony because of …being near a lot of people. “I w-ould lik-e to go to so-me clas-ses…” He still wanted to study, being in school for the first time made scared but really excited. He wanted to learn, something he didn’t do much as a young kid. "Let's see, I have Math, English, Science, Sculpting, Astrology, and Latin. I'm going to be skipping Latin, however. I don't even know why I signed up for that." Dani sure had some interesting classes like Astrology and Sculpting but he was curious why he would take Latin if he didn’t know why he did.

“Tha-ts cool, I h-ave Science, Hist-ory, Engli-sh, Art, Home econo-mic, P.E and Gard-ening.” Maybe he should go to one class at least for the time being, he could get the ingredients later it was still early. He stood up and bowed to Dani. “I ki-nd of wan-t to go to on-e of my cl-asses, oh for din-ner later my dor-m room is One-on-e-one at seve-n or eight. Se-e you la-ter.” He then left the cafeteria. ‘Now which class…’ He could go for history but it seemed to be a bit to much for now, Science also a bit to early for that. ‘I guess I should go and take Arts…’

He wandered around looking for the Arts room but he still doesn’t the school’s layout, he didn’t know where he was going. ‘Where is it, if the school had a map, I would be so thankful…’ He kept looking and walking arounf just wondering, where is the Art room. He then accidentally bumped into someone without seeing the person, who made him, surprised enough to fall on the floor, on his butt. “Gah!” he shouted as his butt really hurt badly. He took a while to recover from the pain and he slowly got up. He looked at the figure that he had bumped into so he could apologies. A guy with what look likes goldish hair and orange eyes. “I am sor-ry! I di-dn’t see wh-ere was I going…” He bowed his head.

Lily - Leaving for Bookstore

Her eyes followed Matt as he left, something inside of her aching. She felt the tears beginning to form.

"I... I made him angry." She mumbled, her gaze falling to the floor. She fluttered down, her toes lightly touching the ground as she stopping flying. Her brows furrowed and her lips quivered. She was about to run after him when she heard Bael.

"Don't feel bad about him." He told her. She looked back him, starry eyes to see him smiling. She blinked, a single tear falling from her eyes.

"But... He's upset and I made him that way!" She shouted, shaking her head vehemently.

"I heard theres a bookstore on the campus, hmm! Oh, and a clothes store... You know, we should take a walk there." He said again, ignoring her.

"But... I can't just leave him like that. I need to apologize!" She shouted again, heart sinking. The longer she spent here, the longer that boy thought she didn't want to be friends with him... She blinked when he wrapped a hand around her waist.

"I haven't seen how earth actually is, you know..." He began, "Though I've came well prepared, heh It seems everything you need to have fun in here is..." He began to rummage through his pockets and pulled out something. Money? Lily blinked, looking over at him. He looked so happy but she didn't understand why. "After I apologize... Please?" She begged, turning to pull on Bael's shirt. "I don't want him to think I hate him and he seemed so upset. I can't... I don't want anyone to feel that way because of me..." She explained, her eyes at the floor. She glanced up at him after a few second with wet eyes, her brows furrowed with worry. "You'd want me to do the same thing for you, wouldn't you? He's my friend..." She continued, still looking up at him.

Making sure Eric was also following, she walked after Little Feather who seemed really enthusiastic about going to the library. Hearing the girl thank her, Kathy lightly laughed, “It’s no problem at all. And all the credit really goes to you, since you came to talk to us first.” Pointing in the right direction, she took over with the navigation as Little Feather returned to Lion’s side. ‘Quite the literal name,’ She mused, glancing over at the white lion again.

“You’re not...like those two people last night are you?”

“That party was really chaotic. Abnormally chaotic.” She nodded in agreement, subconsciously touching her bandaged hand again. “I think you’ll be happy to know that I can’t do anything nearly as amazing as the two from last night, and that most parties don’t go like that. At least, they were fine last year. I’m sure we’ll have a normal one again later on in the year.”

Then looking at Eric with a smile she asked, “Are you glad you glad you escaped all the trouble or disappointed you missed out on the action?”

Finally reaching the library, she held the doors open for Little Feather and Eric and invited them inside. “Here we are.”

Anedine, Isse
Wow, the smell was more attractive than she had thought. Ya know, the feeling that something you made did well in making others appreciate it-- or in this case, crave for it. Although it looked like her first time, judging from how young she looked, she had always been practicing cuisine from since she had moved in to the orphanage before being adopted by the Ancerils. What was stranger was that on her first attempt, it was as if she had already knew how to cook, maybe a knowledge instilled in her since the beginning of her existence in the world.

With a glance first on the three, Anedine spoke up,

"We have all the men in the group! My burgers are like milkshakes in the yard, brings all the boys here. Now we wait for Cortez. Let's look around more."

Isse raised a question.

"Excuse me, but where do we eat again? Is it on the cafeteria?" The cafeteria was the first place in the thoughts of most people when they see packed food. He didn't care if it was inside or ou-, nevermind, he wanted to eat outside, probably since it's possibly crowded in such a place. When Anedine repeated that the venue was outside, Isse breathed a sigh of relief. Sure, he did want some company, but a noisy crowd would probably disturb him too much and leave.

Anedine swayed her hands back and forth on the three. "Hurry up, let's look for Cortez!"

Christopher - Halls, somewhere

Everything was going fine, nothing extraordinary happened. Christopher was starting to believe that everyone, despite being powerful or not, was likely normal in how they acted, there wasn't any loud noise of spell usage, screams of battles or something like that. Even though there might be literal practice I suppose... the boy thought to himself, still fairly distracted... But this didn't last long, the boy was literally knocked back into reality by someone; the bump catching him off-guard and sending him staggering backwards until he lost his balance and felt on a sitting position, similar to the boy in front of him. Luckily, he didn't feel a lot of pain despite falling like that.

"Waa!" The scream was actually because the bump startled him, the blonde boy quickly recovering as he stood up and moved towards the other boy, offering a hand to help him stand up as well. "Oh my, I'm terribly sorry." Christopher apologized, smiling when he noticed that the other boy apologized as well. Phew, not one of those arrogant school jocks. The random thought came into mind as he took a step back, rubbing the back of his own hair. "I was pretty distracted myself... In fact, I just got in here. Even though I was supposed to be here yesterday." He explained, for no reason at all, his eyes glancing backwards to check if anyone else had seen the two of them... It'd be pretty embarassing if the first thing everyone saw Christopher doing was bumping into another student and falling backwards.

Bael - Leaving for Bookstore

While Bael was talking, he didn't even notice that Lily was actually trying to talk with him until she tugged his shirt, which made him look at her worriedly. His worried look slowly morphed into a less than desirable one, his eyebrows furrowing more with each she spoke... Until Bael simply smiled. Well, that was Lily; genuinely worried about... anyone, the very opposite of Bael, who couldn't careless about people... With the exception of Lily, that was. The boy pated her head again, taking a step back while still facing her. He raised his hand and gave her an embarassing thumbs up, of sorts.

"Hrm. My apologizes! I was just thinking about myself. Go for it! I will be... Around, you know. I'm sure you will find me when you come back, heh."

Bael wasn't irritated or... stressed out about the fact that he had just been dissed out, but there was... an annoying feeling in the back of his demonic mind. It was impossible for him to tell what exactly was it, but it made him feel like punching walls or breaking stones against his head, or using his head. Either way, he tried to shove the unknown anger deep in his mind and simply forget about it, making his way to the bookstore by himself, anyway. He had his hands inside his jeans' pockets, casually humming as he walked about, noticing some faces he had seen before.Did someone see me transform back at the party? I hope not, being recognized as the party-wrecker would get me plenty of angry grumpy fools with a burning desire to insult me for destroying their fun. Other than his curiosity about that, he didn't pay any other student much attention, being rather occupied with studying the place he found himself in.

Lily - Going Outside

"I'll meet you in the bookstore later!" She yelled after him, smiling brightly, glad he was willing to wait. She ran in the direction she'd seen Matt go. She searched for a few minutes before spotting the familiar hair. She smiled brightly and ran over to him.

"Matt!" She called out, jumping up and flying over to him. She grinned as she stopped, fluttering above him.

"I just wanted to apologize if I made you think I didn't want to be your friend." She began, lower her head to hide her sad eyes. "I... I upset you. I'm sorry." She continued, looking up at Matt, her eyes red from the tears from before.

She floated down next to him, sitting herself slowly. "I just... I can't stand the pain that courses through my head when I try to think about you and when I try to remember knowing you from before. I feel like even if you told me... It'd just destroy me." She explained, her hands in her lap.

She bit her lip nervously. "You're welcome to join Bael and I. I need to get some clothes because I didn't really bring any with me. I hope they have white dresses!" She exclaimed, her train of thought racing. "Anyway, he's waiting on me. We'll be in the bookstore if you change your mind. I do... want to be your friend, Matt." She told him, smiling at him brightly.

Satisfied, she jumped up and flew back over to Bael. She smiled, watching him as he looking down at the ground, studying it. "Do you often study the ground?" She asked, hovering above him. She chuckled and gave him a smile. "I'm ready." She told him, a big grin on her face.

Certainly, when Valentine flipped her tiny envelope over to discover her room number was different from that of her sisters, she practically ran back to the main office to ask for a new room. Civility kept her from doing so in the end, and she accepted her fate. At the very least, she could hope for a friendly roommate who wasn't overbearing or loud. Or even better, one who simply left her alone. The beds were separated by walls anyways, right?

Avelynn, on the other hand, was disappointed for an entirely different reason; the office assistant had explained to her that she didn't have a roommate... yet. She didn't throw away the idea that she'd be alone for the entirety of the year, but it seemed a little less prospective considering she herself was already a day late. Unlike Valentine, Avelynn actually wished for a roommate whom she could make friends with. To her, it was the fastest and easiest way to make connections at the beginning of the year. She visibly frowned upon the news, but quickly returned to a more cheerful disposition. No need to be disgruntled from the get-go.

Mary was about as passive as one could be upon getting their key. She read the number silently and with a blank face before turning back to the bags and hoisting them up.

"I'll bring the bag to your room, Val," she declared. The two younger sisters made off for their rooms in succession, where Avelynn was left to unpack into an empty new home. At least she didn't have to room with Mary. Her musical habits would have left her truly mad by the year's end.

"You packed snacks into your duffel bag?" Mary asked, more disappointed than surprised. Valentine had managed to set her bag upon her bed with a heavy bounce, and begun to unpack even before Mary could leave. The first things she noticed, however, were the various junk foods that filled her bag. "You packed snacks for a place that was going to serve you meals 24/7? You think this is a camping trip?"

"No! I just... wanted food from home is all," Valentine objected.

"But you could buy this at any common grocer. What the hell Val?" Mary shook her head and glared, choosing to leave Valentine to her poor choices than stand around and gawk at them. Mary retrieved her bag again and made for the door after saying farewell to her sister. Mary proceeded to her own room, and finding it empty, unpacked to her hearts content fueled by a small boombox she had brought with her.
