First of all, you have to throw out these stupid and manipulative terms like 'Pro-Life' and 'Pro-Choice.' They're bullshit for the sake of bullshit, and we should laugh at people who take those words seriously.

Next. Any sane human being needs to approach this conversation with the expectation that his or her opinion is probably wrong. If your argument includes the phrase 'But I personally (don't) think that....' you're being a cunt. Mothers who are considering sucking a baby out through a hose don't give a shit what you think about it, except for the part where you can cause them serious and permanent psychological trauma. Next, you can't come into this to make a judgment. There's no such thing as a 'typical abortion.' Pregnancy is not a community issue, and neither is terminating pregnancy. These are personal matters, and even if you've gone through an abortion yourself, you don't know shit about the woman next to you who's grappling with the exact same issue. You have nothing to do with it. It's not about you, or what you think, or 'what we should be doing as a country' or whatever bullshitty catchphrase you're using to inject your feelings into the debate.

Next, it's safe to assume that whatever source you're using to get information about abortion statistics is fucking lying to you, because they're probably people, and that's what people do. Here and here are the only sources of data worth a damn. You'll notice that they present a complicated picture of abortion in the US. Fancy that. It's complicated.

Next, intellectual tribalism is fucking retarded, and that's the only way these conversations happen in a national scale. Anybody who uses the phrase 'Abortion rights' when describing a new law is fucking lying to you. Any time someone tells you 'This law is pro-abortion,' they are fucking lying to you. These are facts.

The general community of Spam really gets sick of the countless, stupid, pointless, nonsense threads Nat pumps out 6-7 times a day. When a mod said something along the lines of posting something serious for once, Nat's thinking was:

Guys, this isnt a legitimate attempt on Nat'x behalf to be serious, this is just more of his bullshit. He has an infinite amount of topics to seriously talk about, and he chooses abortion?

When I said you should 'get more serious', I wasn't implying that you should post about something controversial like abortion... I was thinking more along the lines of posting what music you like or what your favorite movie is -- things that can actually be discussed with other people because they're not the usual weird/random one-off topics that you post. (Things like that don't usually warrant a reply because they're nonsensical and no one really can say much to them, let alone when it's done time and time again, through multiple threads.)

I'm going to chalk this one up to having some wires crossed and, while I am impressed that the topic managed to get three pages in without an absolute shit-storm brewing, I'm going to close the topic and we're all going to move on.
