The Tower. One of the twenty-one biggest Mage Circles located all across the world. The Tower is the biggest Mage Circle in England, located in London. The name is perhaps somewhat misleading at first glance, as the Tower itself is seemingly just a small building of no real significance. However, this is magic at work. The secrecy of the supernatural must be upheld, and as such the Tower is hidden. The tower's location is avoided by those without any magical knowledge, for it is enchanted with spells to make it impossible to consider as significant by them. But those who have entered the Tower are able to see it, a tall, black building seemingly without windows that stretches above and below the earth. It was constructed almost two-hundred years ago, and for all of this time its existence has remained unknown to all but the supernatural community. Within, it is a vast facility for the education of magi and the research of magic. The Tower possesses a vast library of magical tomes, one of the largest even among the twenty-one. However, it would be a mistake to believe this is the Tower's only purpose.

For like all Mage Circles, the Tower's other reason for being is to secure the secrecy of magic and the supernatural. The larger organization governing the society of magi grants each Circle the ability to run its own affairs, so to speak. How to deal with information leaks, to how to deal with dangers to magi society. The Tower has individual agencies to deal with these, modeled off of the organization's own agencies. A Ministry of Secrets, Enforcers... however, there is a unique element to the Tower. There are those who care little for the secrecy of magic. Others who perform magical research using those outside the supernatural community. Still others who use magic as a tool to perform murders, sometimes inside or outside of the supernatural community. For those such as these, these rogue magi, a special agency was formed within the Tower.

The Citadel Six.

Composed of six magi, no more and no less, the Citadel Six are assigned to hunt down and subdue or eliminate these rogue elements. If they cannot be taken in, they are to be killed. This is the purpose that the Citadel Six were composed for. However, not everyone calls them by such a name. No, the fact that their purpose is to eliminate other magi has earned them the nickname of the "Unlucky Six".

After all, to have them sent after you is quite unlucky.
So, a bit of urban fantasy! In this RP, players will be one of the six members of the Citadel Six. As such, I will be closing the RP after I receive six acceptable bios. Members of the Citadel Six are highly-trained magi brought together to form a force intended to kill or subdue rogue elements. This isn't always rogue magi, but often it is the case.

Now, it's time for some information on the setting this RP takes place in(Out of all of these, magi are the only playable group for the purposes of this RP):

Magi: Capable of magic, invoked by spells and symbols, sometimes in conjunction with one another. Magical prowess is passed through bloodlines, some families having more or less mana(and higher or lower quality mana) then others. Magi will have an affinity, which can range from things like fire to gravity to numbers. Affinities(which are also passed through bloodlines) are not limited to the affinity itself, but also includes things that are conceptually linked to it. For example, a mage with an affinity for fire would also excel at spells involving "consumption", "ignition", and "destruction". Magi can preform spells outside their affinity, though it is more difficult to learn. Affinities cannot be for anything entirely man-made.
Note: The most powerful mage(in terms of raw power) in this setting has an affinity for mana. They will not be appearing in this RP, and mana as an affinity is strictly off-limits.
Familiar: Familiars are beings created by magi from mana. They are existences brought into being by a sustained donation of mana and a reinforcement of existence. Their abilities and appearance are entirely up to the magi who created them, but they must be sustained with mana in order to continue existing. They also require belief in their existence by their creator. Few familiars survive loss of this belief. Magi can support multiple familiars depending on the amount and quality of their mana and the complexity of their familiars.
Homunculi: Artificial humans created via a union of raw materials and a soul, homunculi are able to be created to a variety of specifications, from creating an ideal assassin to creating someone with the power to boost abilities. They have personalities and thoughts of their own, and an infinite lifespan. Most homunculi will hit a certain age and cease to age beyond that. Homunculi are NOT common, due to difficulties involved in creating them and the inability to simply create souls meaning some kind of sacrifice must be involved.
Note: I MAY accept a single homunculus character. However, the bio will have to be very, very good.
Vampires: Rather straightforward, vampires are human in appearance, and must drink blood to survive. They are faster and stronger then humans, and capable of regenerating from any damage that does not destroy either the heart or the brain. The sun weakens them and causes them to fall unconscious, but they will recover when out of the sun. Vampires are frozen at the age they were turned, and cannot die of old age.

There are other supernatural beings in the setting, but the current list is enough of a start for this RP.

Looking forward to your characters! For now, I've decided to take Number One for my own character as I've had some ideas now.

Picking number three, since I am thinking of making an aristocratic ice mage but we'll see how that pans out.

I'm a sucker for urban fantasy and this has a bit of a Dresden Files feel to it. I'm batting around a few ideas right now..

I'll put your number claim up.

For everyone, if you want to claim a number I'll put your claim up, but keep in mind that your claim will be removed if you do not post a bio or that bio is unacceptable. Of course, if you afterwards post an acceptable bio, your claim goes back up.

I'd be interested, if you'll have me. Position number doesn't matter. Have a few ideas, if you have any sort of preference. Was thinking of a mind mage, a white necromancer, or an artificer with either an electrical or arcane theme.

I'm interested as well, and I also don't care what place I'd be. I'd have a lightning-based character, preferably.

Actually, I'd like a character that's got an affinity for space and dimension- the type that, with sufficient power, could make a what appears to be a small, stone house, and on the inside is an entire academy or somesuch. Or make a bag of dimensions or the like. But he'd also study a great deal with electrical powers- it'd be an interesting concept for my character.

Claiming number 6? PMing CS.

I'd have to know what you have in mind for any of these, but I can't say anything for sure until I see your bio.

Difficult to know the level we're working at with no bios yet posted. Do you plan on posting your own as an example sometime soon?

I do, somewhat soon at least.

As for a space and dimensions affinity, that's frankly incredibly easy to break.

Agreed, it had been an idea that had crossed my mind and was discarded almost right away.

The current idea is a mage with an affinity for sensory input. Touch, Taste, Sight Smell and Sound. He'll likely be the kind of man who, could blend in to any crowd. Quiet and exacting in his mannerisms although with an easy laugh and a love for any genre of comedy. He avoids doing things the 'easy' way in favor of finding a neat and tidy solution.

On my lunch break on my phone right now, should have a full CS when I get home.

Can't find the exact line at the moment, but the OP notes that the Six are the only playable faction.

Anyway, I think I've decided on the White Necromancer. I'd be giving them the domain of "Souls," thus giving them spells relating to ghost, spirits, emotions, that sort of thing.

By dimensions, I was thinking less combat, and more miscellaneous. Not like... idk

I was meaning like making a bag that could hold forty times what it could before, or by making the inside of a weapon another dimension, where it could be larger and more complex, allowing to make a handgun more powerful than a rifle. Or make portals- make a dimension with a portal to it here, and then reach through and make a portal at a select spot, and then if the dimension was correctly made, you could jump through unharmed- besides nausea and stuff from being all interdimensional travel, although that'd be like mastery-level dimension making. But I was going more along the lines of bags, chests, or even a pair of jeans with dimensional pockets.

idk how you mean by 'easy to break.'

And if it still no work, then I'm going with electricity based.

EDIT
I SEES WHATS MEANS
