Nellie is 5'9" with a slender but lean build. At first glance, she looks meek because of poor posture. She slouches when sitting and when walking, her body curls inwards as if trying to hide from scathing eyes. Nellie is unsure of her descent but she likes to imagine she is Korean like her mother. She has light-brown hair and blue gray eyes. Her skin complexion is smooth and pale, showing off her massive eye bags. She keeps her hair in a loose bun and has some really weird looking bangs that she cuts herself to keep her hair out of her eyes. Her daily outfit consists of plain t-shirts with the occasional turtle neck, cargo pants and boots.
Psychological Profile:
Despite her appearance, Nellie is an intelligent and cunning woman. She is driven by the desire to achieve so many of her decisions will be influenced either on the opportunity to improve or to prove her existing skills. Nellie can also be best described as adaptable. She is a keen observer and empathetic, acutely aware of her surroundings and of other people's emotions. When Nellie enters a combat zone, her mind is cleansed of all fears and worries. She is focused on only one thing - making the shot. She retreats into her bubble, her senses heightened as she calculates the situation such as wind speed/direction or exploiting the enemy's weaknesses. She is meticulous and thorough in her preparation; planning routes for both insertion and evasion. Sparing any feelings towards the enemy could potentially compromise the mission.

Whether it is freezing cold or boiling hot, her body will enter a state as if she has congenital analgesia. Combined with the need to prove herself, Nellie will not move from her position until her target is eliminated. After a mission, it is normal for Nellie to fall into a hour long to three day coma as her body recuperates. In addition, she has an uncanny ability to increase her eyesight at will.
Personal History:
Nellie Jung was found in an alleyway one cold wintry night by a passing university student. The kind Korean woman gathered the silent little bundle in her arms and immediately fell in love with the curly-haired, bright eyed baby. "You were such a strange baby," Nellie's mother would recall years later. "You would just stare at me. You didn't eat unless I begged you to and you slept a lot. I went to the doctor so many times but he would just tell me you were perfectly healthy...Aigo!"
From an early age, it was clear that Nellie was something entirely different. She would stare at everything without saying a word and that scared other people. She was bullied because of her foreign features and strange actions but what hurt Nellie the most was that adults would whisper nasty remarks about her mother. Nellie was painfully aware that she was the root of her mother's problems so she tried her best to be perfect. That guilt festered and Nellie became even more withdrawn.
Eventually, Nellie and her mother were 'accepted' into society once they moved to a different town. Her mother found love and the family of two grew to five. With a little time, Nellie grew to love her stoic strong father and his two high school children. Her father taught shooting classes and was an avid hunter in his free time. In an attempt to bond with Nellie, he took her to a shooting range and taught her how to handle firearms. In a matter of months, Nellie was winning a multitude of shooting and hunting competitions. She had finally found something she was good at so Nellie spent her days practicing. It was only until a Cerberus recruiter told Nellie's parents that the Academy would love to train her as a sniper. Although her mother didn't want Nellie to go, Nellie joined the Academy after middle-school.
Out of all of the students in sniper school, Nellie showed the most potential. Although odd, her persistence and endurance showed just how well of a sniper she was. Her blood-line also gave her quite an advantage over the others. During this time, Nellie became more sociable and outgoing since she felt like she was among 'one of her kind'. When the Cerberus researchers grew more interested in her blood-line, they attempted to find Nellie's biological parents. The search was futile and Nellie has since accepted the fact that she will never know why she was abandoned.

They're generally NPCs that the Lezzad/Dagula characters would get information from, so it'd be kind of redundant most of the time plot-wise.

Bloodline: <Artemisia Gentileschi> - <The Zone>
Hmmm... how do I describe it? Oh! Okay. It's where I go to see things move between the spaces between time. My eyes are open but I don't see reality like most peeps do. It's a weird kind of focus. I just know which chance to take. In movies, they call it 'bullet-time?' Things are slowed to almost dead speed. But in the Zone, it's like you have all the time in the world to see and react. But it's not like arching over backwards in that 'just right pose' to avoid all bullets shot at you.
But... it is similar. When I'm in the Zone... it's like I'm painting. All brushstrokes I make are correct in my Zone. But there is that one... That one incomplete brushstroke that makes my heart race while I'm in the Zone, because completing it is like... ahhhhh, yes. Fulfilment. And so thats the path I choose. It works like my Code name. Ascension. A higher plane. A heightened state of mind and being.
Yeah, it's kinda like that Danny Phantom dude's bloodline, but mine only works while I'm in control of a vehicle. An extension of me, I guess. It's a split-second reaction in the heat of the moment, when lives are on the line; it's the difference between crashing in defeat or cruising to victory.
But it also works for the long haul. It also works against pain. Mental and physical. If you know me, you know that I'm quiet. I can't get hurt when I don't open my mouth. I just find myself in the Zone and paint my feels away. You can't hurt me there.

What can I say. I'm a nobody. I grew up in nobody-ville, population 22,002. My dad worked the trainyard and mom was part time at a flower boutique. We had a crappy little house that leaked all the time and a crappy little car that broke down all the time. But hey, what can I say. I'm easy to please. I thought we were okay. I was an only child but I wouldn't say I was spoiled.
Like I did ride horses when I was younger. But we couldn't afford that. But I got into Then I really really really got into riding mountain bikes. I even won several comps! Actually it really wasn't until I started painting that I started winning comps. But it's weird. You think I'd have been a popular kid since I wons some trophies, right?
But no. I wasn't. I was always that weird chick. I said weird things and still had imaginary friends till I was 9. I painted them and so I had to go to therapy. There was something wrong with me apparently. And that's how I got into horses. It was part of the therapy. Like my folks couldn't afford therapy let alone horse riding to yeah, that's the real reason we stopped. But apparently therapy cured me. So we stopped that too. But I kept painting.
And then I got into mountain bikes. And then those people said I cheated to win. And I got kicked out. Somehow a bunch of riders crashed and somehow, impossibly I made it through and won. They said it was a dirty win. I somehow managed to make them crash. But all I did was slip past them. They said I was dirty. And someone even threw rocks into our window with mean messages tied to them. I kept painting.
But thrown rocks weren't the only things tossed at me. Why were other kids so mean to me? They called me names and picked on me. I got beat up. When I was fourteen, I was invited to a party. Finally! But I wasn't invited cuz they liked me. No. A bunch of older boys locked me up in a room. They were going to do very bad things to me. And so I fought back. And it was me that did very bad things to them. When the police finally came and took me away, they said I was painting while those boys lay there, silently, on the dark carpet.
Know what I was painting? I was painting the reason why me, mom and dad moved out here to nobody-ville when I was little. I was painting the same thing I painted when I was nine. I painted my imaginary friends. I painted monsters doing bad things to people. At age nine I couldn't paint the faces properly. But at age fourteen I could. The monsters had my face on them. They were doing bad things to people; people with my dad's face on them.
Oh gosh, I was staring at the ceiling in the station when I realized it. I had repressed the pain. And I was going to do it again. Repress it all throughout the rest of my teen life. I went to a special hospital for a year, and promptly after that I went back to school.
I wasn't cured because I was still weird and all the rumours going on about me being broken goods was true. But I kept painting and found the safe place in my head that did not hurt. And they kept trying to hurt me. Then came that day when I was 17. I had to get away. They were going to really, really, really hurt me. I swear I knew they were. Just like that party with the boys when I was fourteen. And just like when I was five. We moved here a year later, I remember now.
But I stole that car. I needed to. So I could get away. And I did get away. Until I ran out of gas. 9 police cars, 5 highway patrol cars, 3 blockades and 400kms later they finally caught me. I ran out of gas. It's the only reason they caught me.
I was going to court when I first met Sergeant Mizuna. He said that I could start again. He said that a proper plea bargain was in order, if I agreed to take some tests. And so I agreed. And so I passed the tests. I was flown away and taken in to an alternative school then. Weird kids facility. Boot camp kinda reform school. A pre-req they said for 'The Academy.' I made a friend here. And a girlfriend. Her name is Erin Montgomery. She's blonde, beautiful and has big... brains. Hahahah! And I still love her to this day, 'Rin and her huuuuuge... brains. Hahahah...
I liked that school. It took in juvenile delinquents and made them turn their lives around. Thieves, thugs, hackers, whores and all other sorts of broken goods in between. Even the painterly ones like me. And now look at me! I'm a graduate from 'The Academy!' And I'm now part of the elite group called Div. Six!! Me! A nobody from nobody-ville!
I still have no idea how my folks could afford tuition for me there. But I'll pay them back. Cuz it's been sooooo long and I haven't seen them. I miss them too. Love em sooooo much too. They helped me succeed here regardless of how weird and loner I am here. It's soooooo worth repressing and burying deeper the pain and trauma of what they did to me when I was five.

Actually it really wasn't until I started painting that I started winning comps. But it's weird. You think I'd have been a popular kid since I wons some trophies, right?
But no. I wasn't. I was always that weird chick. I said weird things and still had imaginary friends till I was 9. I painted them and so I had to go to therapy. There was something wrong with me apparently. And that's how I got into horses. It was part of the therapy. Like my folks couldn't afford therapy let alone horse riding to yeah, that's the real reason we stopped. But apparently therapy cured me. So we stopped that too. But I kept painting.
And then I got into mountain bikes. And then those people said I cheated to win. And I got kicked out. Somehow a bunch of riders crashed and somehow, impossibly I made it through and won. They said it was a dirty win. I somehow managed to make them crash. But all I did was slip past them. They said I was dirty. And someone even threw rocks into our window with mean messages tied to them. I kept painting.
But thrown rocks weren't the only things tossed at me. Why were other kids so mean to me? They called me names and picked on me. I got beat up. When I was fourteen, I was invited to a party. Finally! But I wasn't invited cuz they liked me. No. A bunch of older boys locked me up in a room. They were going to do very bad things to me. And so I fought back. And it was me that did very bad things to them. When the police finally came and took me away, they said I was painting while those boys lay there, silently, on the dark carpet.
Know what I was painting? I was painting the reason why me, mom and dad moved out here to nobody-ville when I was little. I was painting the same thing I painted when I was nine. I painted my imaginary friends. I painted monsters doing bad things to people. At age nine I couldn't paint the faces properly. But at age fourteen I could. The monsters had my face on them. They were doing bad things to people; people with my dad's face on them.
Oh gosh, I was staring at the ceiling in the station when I realized it. I had repressed the pain. And I was going to do it again. Repress it all throughout the rest of my teen life. I went to a special hospital for a year, and promptly after that I went back to school.
I wasn't cured because I was still weird and all the rumours going on about me being broken goods was true. But I kept painting and found the safe place in my head that did not hurt. And they kept trying to hurt me. Then came that day when I was 17. I had to get away. They were going to really, really, really hurt me. I swear I knew they were. Just like that party with the boys when I was fourteen. And just like when I was five. We moved here a year later, I remember now.
But I stole that car. I needed to. So I could get away. And I did get away. Until I ran out of gas. 9 police cars, 5 highway patrol cars, 3 blockades and 400kms later they finally caught me. I ran out of gas. It's the only reason they caught me.
I was going to court when I first met Sergeant Mizuna. He said that I could start again. He said that a proper plea bargain was in order, if I agreed to take some tests. And so I agreed. And so I passed the tests. I was flown away and taken in to an alternative school then. Weird kids facility. Boot camp kinda reform school. A pre-req they said for 'The Academy.' I made a friend here. And a girlfriend. Her name is Erin Montgomery. She's blonde, beautiful and has big... brains. Hahahah! And I still love her to this day, 'Rin and her huuuuuge... brains. Hahahah...
I liked that school. It took in juvenile delinquents and made them turn their lives around. Thieves, thugs, hackers, whores and all other sorts of broken goods in between. Even the painterly ones like me. And now look at me! I'm a graduate from 'The Academy!' And I'm now part of the elite group called Div. Six!! Me! A nobody from nobody-ville!
I still have no idea how my folks could afford tuition for me there. But I'll pay them back. Cuz it's been sooooo long and I haven't seen them. I miss them too. Love em sooooo much too. They helped me succeed here regardless of how weird and loner I am here. It's soooooo worth repressing and burying deeper the pain and trauma of what they did to me when I was five.

Bloodline: Audie Murphy - Absolute Fire - In the hands of a Murphy, any firearm is a lethal weapon. While it won't make him a sniper by default, it certainly makes it easier. It is, essentially, a skill multiplier for whatever gun he is using. For example, say he was ranked at 3 on a 10 point scale with a particular automatic pistol by "default". Then, his actual proficiency would be a six. This would be incredibly powerful, if it weren't for the fact that it functions based on his true knowledge of the weapon. He isn't much of a sniper because he never learned it, and the same can be said of heavy AT and other weapons he has no experience with.
Personal History: Jacob Daniel Murphy did not grow up in a town that breeds heroes. He grew up in a small town in Kentucky, a "good ol' boy" as it were. He ran on his school's Cross Country team, played video games and just enjoyed his life. Unlike so many people, he had a good, if lonely, childhood. Sure, he never had any real friends until middle school, but he was fine with that. He had the Military Channel and video games, and what more could a boy need? In Middle School, however, he blossomed into a social boy, functioning almost as the magnetic protagonist, as if his life were some form of roleplay.
Then, however, came the dramatic reveal of what would eventually make him a Butei. He had spent some time training with firearms, nothing too serious as his mother hated the idea of him shooting a gun or becoming a soldier. However, whenever he visited one of his friends, he'd shoot his friend's 30-30, just to get a feel for it. Eventually, he thought that he was good enough to maybe try a shooting competition with his friend. It took weeks to convince his mother to okay it, but she did in the end, so he and his friend set out for the Kentucky State Shoot-off. He didn't know it, but he'd finally reached the point where his "skill" had activated, and that was about to show.
He out-shot practically everyone who thought themselves his better, performing much better than he should with so little practice. This drew the attention of the ones in charge of the competition, the Kentucky State Government. Upon researching his background, however, they found something very interesting in his past. Awhile back, during WWII, a man called Audie Murphy had proven his martial skill repeatedly on the battlefield, eventually garnering a Medal of Honor for gallant actions in battle, including manning a heavy machine gun for an hour in a burning M10 Tank destroyer. The discovery of this is what lead to him being recommended, and sent to, the Butei Academy.
In the school, at least among those with a Bloodline, he was something of a joke. He was, in all honesty, not all far down the generational line. It was likely he was the first Murphy to even manifest this ability, and most thought of the reason his family even HAD one a joke. After all, hadn't others done a whole lot more to get something? Plenty of war heroes had come and gone and not gotten one, so what was so special about this Murphy kid? Jacob didn't have an answer, he didn't pretend to have an answer, but he did prove time and time again he had every intention of being the Butei they didn't think he could. He became one of the top shots in the academy and, with his penchant for military tactics, quickly established himself as an incredibly effective, if somewhat boring, warrior. At least, he was quite boring when compared to the over-the-top stunts those with Bloodlines were famous for.
When he graduated, it was these skills that got him recruited to Division Six. He had charisma, tactics, and was a wizard with guns, a seemingly obvious pick to round out the combat arm. He, however, was still less than happy, and initially resisted an assignment to Division Six. After he'd been endless compared to the other students with longer, much more illustrious, Bloodlines, he had no interest in serving somewhere he could continue to be compared to them. It took the encouragement of several of the faculty, including his assault instructors, to get him to agree to the posting. Though he isn't bitter, he remains wary of being exposed to the teasing once more, and as such strives to do his best in the field at all times.
