Personality: A naive young tactician, he knows little of the world having barely ever left Ylistol. He often talks to himself under his breath and his attention span moves at a mile a minute. However when not working he's curled up with a book preferring them to people. However he is fighter and will not take things lying down.

Biography: Orphaned as a baby when his parents were killed in an attempt to steal there Lordship. Jacob was taken in by the castle and his Lordship was given to cousin. Raised in the castle alongside Exalts daughter and many young lordlings and squires. The boy learned Swordplay from the Knight Commander and Magic from the court mage, he showed great aptitude for both. Seeing this the Exalt ordered the boy tested for entrance into the Tactician's academy he passed and was sent to the academy to study and train further there.

As he grew he visited the castle frequently forgetting his friends he trained in the mornings with Knight Commander, his sword skills improved constantly. The court Mage would tutor him in magic at night until he could understand magic even theoretical principles. During the days he would attend school, the Exalt kept a close eye on him. When the diplomatic party asked for a representative the Exalt selected Jacob. Jacob was excited by the idea of the trip however he personally didn't want to go.

He doubts the idea of being "Champion" yet he knows the only way he's going to be able to help is if he accepts it. So begrudgingly he's returned to Ylisse and plans to ask for the right to reform the Shepherds, his hope is that he can find a handful people willing to join him.

Personality:
Marianne is quite the interesting persona to all that happen to stumble upon her. Despite the fact that she’s a Dark Mage and generally looked upon with fear and scorn for meddling in the forbidden arts, she is soft-spoken and polite a good majority of the time. So much so in fact, that she often stresses the proper difference between a lady and a heathen to anyone caring to listen.

That being said, Marianne’s favorite topic of discussion would have to be the many ways in which to incapacitate her foes. She’s the kind of person who would gladly explain to you when and how you’ll die over a cup of tea. She does not fear death, claiming that death is only the next stage in Naga’s course. Of course, that doesn’t excuse her rather…odd habits.

One such habit seems to be a fascination with eyes. Human eyes, dragon eyes…really anything that moves around in the socket and blinks. Probably has something to do with her covered right eye, though she’ll momentarily drop the regal air and proceed to go into something akin to a panic attack whenever people mention it.

And yet despite all of these…interesting features, Marianne is a person that genuinely cares for those around her. That is, those who can tolerate her poetic and morbid nature. Of course, with friendship comes loyalty and protection. The others may be bound by their morality, but Marianne is a girl who is willing to do any and all things for the sake of her friends. Anything…even if it means taking a few lives through dirty manners.

Biography:
A distant nomad from the land of Plegia, Marianne would rather not speak of her past, though it probably has to do with that eye-patch she’s always wearing. She hasn’t claimed it to be host to any magical powers, so there’s no reason for the secrecy. Even so, she will lash out without thought or reason whenever people question it.

Skimming the whole eye thing aside, Marianne’s mother taught her what she knew of magic while her father helped her to eventually read and write, inspiring her to create her own spells. In the present day, Marianne travels around simply for the sake of doing so, finding interest in the stories all around her.

Recently though, her interests lie in the current religious crusade going on. Usually not one to get involved in such stupid things like warfare, she remained neutral no more when news of a “Champion of Naga” reached her ears. Now she seeks to meet this hero of the world…if only to strive off her boredom and give her amusement.

Solanne

Personality:
Bright, chipper, and just overall optimistic, if one were to call Solanne a tomboy, she’d jokingly pound them on the shoulder before saying that they weren’t doing her enough justice. Yeah, she’s one of those girls. To be fair though, her laid-back and happy persona is normally a fresh relief to all the war-mongering going on.

It usually takes something truly horrendous or traumatic to dampen Solanne’s burning spirit and joking nature. Did we mention the laid-back attitude? Yes? Good, then now you know that it also takes something incredibly dire for Solanne to be taken seriously.

Despite her initial cheery front though, she does admit that her life has been crappy so far. Only the most observant and perceptive can see through her idiotic grin to see the pain swelling up inside. Because of her own past, Solanne is dead set determined to create a future where everyone can smile freely. As such, she is usually one to put everyone, friends and allies alike, above her own well-being. She is fiercely loyal to those she wants to protect and will do just about anything for them, earning her the nickname of “Crimson Hound”.

Biography:
Ironically enough, most people tend to think of “Crimson Hound” as some sort of deranged killer bent on ending all life. People usually don’t think that maybe she earned the nick-name due to her unyielding loyalty? Oh well. That makes Solanne laugh every time.

Hailing from the nation of Valm, Solanne lost both her parents to Plegian bandits at a fairly early age and spent the remainder of her childhood being raised as an orphan. Most children would have caved into depression at that age, but Solanne took her parent’s teachings by heart and desired to help out all that she could. Soon, she was everyone’s “big sister” at the orphanage before finally becoming old enough to wield a sword.

Soon enough, she set out on a journey to travel the lands, taking up the job as a Mercenary to provide constant funding to the orphanage. She still visits from time to time, despite her many travels. However, war was always near, and Solanne soon found a new reason to fight when news of the Church of Naga’s Crusades began. Seeking to protect her adopted family from the carnage of warfare, Solanne sought out the supposed Champion of Naga in hopes of ending the violence before it spread to Valm.

It should also be noted that Solanne has a history with a certain Dark Mage. Whether or not she’s on good relations with Marianne has yet to be discovered.

- Personality: Jerod is a very down to earth, spiritual in a general sense, and honest to a fault mind of man. Jerod tends to be the one to call someone out for some reason or another, whether its warranted or appropriate or not. While the man is slow to anger, the quickest way to do it is to confuse his spirituality with religious fervor. He actively shows disdain and distrust for any organized religion, preferring his own, unshared beliefs. But this doesn't mean Jerod is a necessarily bad or mean person, as often as he might come across it with his uncensored mouth and generally common, crude manner of speaking. He just doesn't know to portray himself that well, nor does he care to in the slightest. He would rather be despised for what he is, then loved for what he is not, and will gladly be the first to make that happen, and talk someone's ear off about it, if they get him started, which can usually be done after about 6 drinks at the local tavern.

- Biography: Born to a group of bandits, one would have expected that Jerod would not have turned out much better. But, while he was a child, several warriors tracked down and slew the band of bandits, leaving the young child without family for a brief moment. The oldest warrior adopted the bandit child and took him in. Adopted by a bounty hunter, Jerod learned swordsmanship and other useful wildland skills, from tracking and trapping to skinning and scavenging. Once he was old enough to hold his own, his adopted father took him out hunting bandits and other criminals, letting him learn on the job opposed to just study and safe training. The next few years were of him going from place to place, bounty to bounty, focusing to zero in on his swordplay and swordplay alone. When his old man passed on to natural causes, Jerod took what he had been willed and left for greener pastures, as the saying went.

Having been 17 after his father died, Jerod drifted across the land, visiting sites and locations of legend and notoriety. From battlezones to memorials and everything in between, learning the history of the world and earning a paycheck with his skill, used to work here at some point after all. Gimme a few. He made enough money to make ends meet and afford clothes and a place to rest for a night. He made a small name for himself as a reliable source, and kept well clear of any attempts to involve him with this new Church going around. Wasn't his thing still, so he didn't bother, not until he could verify looking didn't hurt. At the age of 25, he had done a lot of work and shrugged rather then let it get to his head something fierce. He eventually drifted into Yllise, to look for more sight seeing spots or some work to do when its now.

Niya

Personality: Niya is not one to talk much, finding her words wasted on most people. Generally only speaking a few words at a time, sometimes far fewer than is appropriate, one could consider her bedside manner as a healer rather lacking. What little she speaks, is made up far more in actions, being a woman that prefers to let actions speak for her rather than hollow words. Coupled with a complete lack of a sense of self preservation, she is one who will have no problem riding her horse into a fusillade of arrows and magical spells to bring a comrade back up to their feet, because its her duty to do so. A sense of duty drives her actions, more so than anything else, although to whom this duty is sworn to is hazy, at best. But still, she will generally heal before harm when it matters, but one should not expect her to be nice about it.

Biography: Born to Feroxian family, one would be surprised to hear this on first meeting the woman, but one word or action out of her casts any doubt of that aside. Both her parents were descendents of those who immigrated to Ferox after the wars over 70 years in the past, having progressively grown more adapted to the climate of the land, that much so with their own single daughter Niya. One would have expected a far more warlike occupation for a Feroxian, but her family had been apothecaries and healers prior to their immigration, and all the warriors in a war can only go as far as their wounds allow.

Niya was trained in both apothecary and healing magics, usually acting as an attendant at arena battles and with bandit hunting patrols, ensuring battles did not end lethally (Without undue reason), and that the hunters and their quarry made it back alive (For the quarry, not necessarily alive AND well, just alive). Her quiet, harsh exterior was not unduly noticed by those she tended to, as the Feroxian woman provided far too vital of help to worry about her attitude. Spending much of her life either healing, or in the saddle, it was unsurprising that she would eventually not return home, just riding onwards with travelling supplies enough to get her to another land, and do more work there. Duty drove her on, as always.

Niya had heard much about the Church of Naga, its teachings and plans for the world. A load of madness, lies, and hatred, the lady had decided quickly. This Champion of Naga, however, did not sound like the rest of the church, on a gut instinct's decision. That, and she suspected War would follow this Champion and whoever he ended up leading and siding with, and that meant the sick and injured would be there as well. So it was a natural fit for her to make her way for warmer climates, following the trail of this Champion of Naga as best as she could, the proud woman high on her horse taking time in each village to mend the injured and cure the sick, never giving a name or purpose, just asking one or two questions, seeing to the unwell, and moving on, earning a monicker of just "The White Lady" on the way.

Marius

Name: Marius

Class: Cavalier (Red)

Appearance: As the Class section briefly mentioned, Marius falls under the ‘Red-Cavalier’ archetype and therefore dons a suit of red armor (I personally prefer the FE7 armor, but if I need to use the Awakening armor, so be it). His physical build is similar to Sain and Kent (from FE7), although his hair and eyes do not match his armor, like the previously mentioned cavalier-pair. Instead, they are dark brown and blue, respectfully. Furthermore, unlike the previously mentioned cavaliers, Marius has trimmed facial hair, which has a slight reddish tint.

Equipment: Iron Lance (40/40), Bronze Sword (50/50), Javelin (25/25), Vulnerary (3 uses)

Personality: Marius is a serious and dedicated knight of Ylisse. While he does possess a softer side of his personality, he usually masks it with his seriousness and dedication, which sometimes makes himself seem cold to others, even though he has the best attentions in mind. In war, one’s mind must be focused on the task at hand and Marius follows that philosophy to the dot of an ‘i’.

Marius is also a pious follower of Naga. It sickens this knight of Ylisse to fight is fight against fellow worshippers of Naga, but he also cannot stand by and watch the will of Naga be bent to the whim of mortal leaders. With more and more blood of the followers being shed, Marius must console himself that such violence shall prevent an even greater evil.

Beyond this, Marius is a loyal friend and ally, even if his serious and focused nature might make it seem otherwise.

Biography: Marius was from a long line of lesser commanders of Ylisse and he chose to follow in his ancestors footsteps. Once, when Marius was still young, the knights of Ylisse had in their stables a great horse that would not allow any mortal man to mount it. However, one day, the men found Marius with that great horse and they were surprised at how calm the horse was. They were even more surprised when it allowed Marius to climb onto its back. From that day on, Marius called the horse Bucephalus.

In the present day, Marius, along with his steed, Bucephalus, served in the knights of Ylisse. With the aid of Bucephalus, Marius proved to have great potential for advancing through the ranks of the knights of Ylisse. Once the news broke out about the crusades declared by the Church of Naga, Marius held distain in his heart against this decision. How could humanity know the whims of the gods? But due to his nature, he hid his distain under his dedication to the state, standing by one phrase: regi patriaeque.

Abra

Personality: When someone first meets Abra, that person would describe her in one of two ways. One person might describe her as peppy and carefree, trying to look at the bright side of life. Another, on the other hand, would say that she is very studious and has a thirst for knowledge. While these two personalities might seem to class (“Don’t waste a single hour of the day” vs. “I want to read this thousand page book!”), both of them, to a certain extent, are only fronts that Abra uses to hind the pain that she has experienced in her life. Otherwise, she probably would break down crying.

Abra was extremely close to Helike (the kind old witch who raised her). If she happens to lose any memorabilia of her foster mother, Abra might become rash in her attempt to retrieve said item. Her witch’s hat possesses a priceless value for Abra, as it was Helice’s last gift to her before Abra’s foster mother died. Trying to stop her usually would be fruitless, unless one could either physically or magically can restrain her from putting herself into harm’s way. And if she could not retrieve it, well, Abra probably would not be in such a chipper mood.

Once someone has earned her trust, Abra will be loyal until the end. However, once must first earn this near-unbreakable trust. However, until that level of trust has been reached, Abra keeps at least one eye open, looking out for anyone who wishes to take advantage of her, either for her intelligence or anything else.

Biography: 23 Years ago, an infant was exposed in the forest (Greek Mythology style). Nevertheless, some of the forest animals took pity on the child and placed her on the doorstep (Santa Claus is Coming to Town style) of a kind old witch named Helike. The kind old witch took in the child and raised the child on her own (using her magic to compensate for her growing age).

Once Abra was old enough, Helike began to teach her some basic, almost harmless magic, like making objects levitate and such. What was surprising to the kind of witch was not that Abra caught on, but at the pace at which she learned. When Abra had exhausted all the spells and incantations that the kind old witch was comfortable with teaching the young lass, Helike had to resort to throwing theoretical books on more advanced topics to hold her over until Abra was old enough to do some more advanced magic. And from time to time (more often than not as she was running out of things to give her young apprentice), Helike would take Abra down to the nearby village so that the young girl could interact with real people lest Abra grow up without any social skills whatsoever.

Once Abra had turned 16, Helike finally decided that it was about time to allow her young pupil attempt some more potent magic (of course under the kind old witch’s supervision). Nowadays (I mean modern day Earth), 16 year olds would get excited about getting their driving permit and being able to drive. This would had been the same amount of excitement that Abra felt when she finally was allowed to advance in her magical training. For her whole birthday, the young girl practiced and learned the new material. By the end of the day, she had entirely wore-out Helike, who immediately retired to her sleeping quarters.

However, Abra was too excited to go to sleep yet. Therefore, after the kind old witch had went to bed, Abra snuck down stairs and picked out one of the spell books that had been previously off-limits until that day. Once she reentered her room without making a sound, she peeled open the book and began to look for a spell to try. However, as she looked through the book, none of the spells in it looked familiar, or at least her foster parent did not show any of them to her.

After taking some time sorting through some bizarre hexes and spells, Abra finally found one that looked somewhat normal. She placed an apple on a plate and tried to make it grown. However, after the first and second tries, nothing happened. She then looked back at the tome and looked over the spell again, double checking to make sure she was not doing anything wrong. When she made a third attempt, something did finally happen. For a brief second, a bright, white light enveloped the young girl’s room. For the next few minutes, she just sat there, listening to see if her light night activities had stirred awake the kind old witch. But fortunately, all the work that they had achieved the past day had worn the old woman out so much that even that flash of light could not wake her up.

When Abra noticed that the apple had not been affected whatsoever, she quickly (yet quietly) closed the book and returned it to Helike’s library and returned to bed. The next morning, when she woke up, Abra felt weird. There were not any physical changes, but something just felt off. When she went out for breakfast, Helike was already busy at work making a hearty meal, knowing fully that they both would need all the energy they could get in order to get though another day of teaching and learning. But at the first mention of magic, Abra burst into tears, admitting everything that happened last night. Helike consoled her, telling the young girl that there was no such thing a complete failures, but accidents that allow for personal growth.

As the years slipped by, Abra found herself taking care of the old witch more and more as her condition slowly slipped away. For six years, the young apprentice had to go to town to get supplies for the one person who had spent the last several years raising her. The trips began to become more common as the years piled up.

Or they did until recently. One night, Helike was bedridden and Abra fell asleep keeping watch over her sick foster mother. Before she passed away, Helike, using the last bit of strength she had, repaired her own witch’s hat, as if it were brand new, placed the hat upon her young apprentice’s slumbering head. With this final gift, Helike took her final breath. Once Abra finally woke up the next morning, her heart was drowned with pain and sorrow when she saw her foster mother lying peacefully in her own bed. What broke her heart even more was that Helikes’ final gift. Finding the hat on her head, Abra knew that Helike was thinking about her when she passed away.

Konrad the Priest

- Personality: Konrad is very kind and absent minded. He tries to respect everybody and is non-confrontational, as he would rather let diplomacy and logic to end a possible confrontation. He’s very naïve believing others easily and is far too sympathetic, but he makes it up by his hard working and optimistic attitude. He is a very emotional person, and shows every feeling on his face and body, and his emotions are strong, feeling strongly for things and others, rather if it's happiness, sadness or betrayal. He's easily confused, often forgetting the point of topics and forgetting little things and leaving items all over the place, and he can easily forget the day of the week and if he has his mind on something will only focus on that one thing for hours, and will forget to eat and drink throughout the day until he's very hungry and thirsty to the point of being light headed.

- Biography: Konrad was born into a minor noble family that has fallen into bankruptcy and loss of status as a noble house. His childhood was tough as his parents tried for years to gain back their nobility status, but never could. Konrad unlike his parents was born into the commoner life and he was well adjusted to this lifestyle, often doing most of the cleaning and cooking since his parents barely knew how to do both even after years of peasantry, due to their stubbornness of being like the rest of the rabble. When Konrad was of age his parents made him join the clergy they would never admit it but they were embarrassed by him since he was nothing like a noble son they wanted, Konrad never knew this and often thought they wanted him to have a better life for him. He had lost contact with his parents since then, while he was sadden that he never heard of them after that he kept his head high and kept looking forward to his new future. Which his was perfect life, a life of silence and helping others. But that all changed one day when the church of Naga announced their crusade, he was aghast at the whole idea and even vocally denounced the crusade and left the church as he couldn't join the church which was meant to protect people wanted to become an army. He has heard stories of the champion picked by Tiki herself, Konrad has decided to look for before the Church does and do his best to protect him with his staff and life.

Melody the Wyvern Rider

- Class: Wyvern Rider

- Personality: Melody is an honest and well-intentioned young woman, but her bluntness and crudeness can be rather off-putting and offensive. And she is free spirited and wild, rarely listening to others. She is brutal in combat and with a strong assertive personality which makes it simple to see why her Wyvern listens to her. She is kind and protective to animals and children, or anything inherently weaker than her. If you can gain her trust and respect she will do everything in her power to help and support the person who has gained it, and never doubting that person. She is persistent and hard headed, as she will never stop what she believe is the best course of action even if it can be consider a brutal and dishonest action.

- Biography: Melody was an orphan in Rosanne. She never learned anything of her parents and put the idea of learning about them behind her never seeing the importance about people that left her on her own. From a young age she was a troublemaker, never staying in the orphanage longer than a few days before she tries to run away. She doesn't remember why she tried to runaway but when finally ran away she went into Wyvern valley by accident. Where she met her lifelong companion and friend, Pearly the Wyvern, The Wyvern has only hatched a few days before but wasn't aggressive to the young girl, and even protected her when older wyverns tried to attack her. The two managed to survive the attack by working together, Melody loved the little wyvern and was grateful for it protection, so much so that she took it from the Valley and two has continued to work together into adulthood. Melody has become a vagabond, helping those in need on the back of her wyvern and drinking men under the tables once she was allowed to drink, the two were inseparable. Once Melody has heard the church’s announcement to kill all non-believers, she decided to fight back and help the only person that could resist the church, the Champion of Naga, she finds it all grimly silly.

Jonathan Walker

Name: Jonathan Walker

Has a square jaw and strong features. Jonathan's green eyes are underscored by constant bags from sleepless nights and heavy boozing. His blonde hair falls over his eyes in a lank mop that is in constant need of a good wash. He's badly shaven and constantly has stubble sprouting along his jawline. He's tall, but slouches, and thickly muscled from years of work. Underneath his clothes, he has a horrible scar that crosses the left side of his stomach.

Equipment: Iron Axe

Personality: An insomniac boozehound who doubles as a meat shield. He's vulgar and completely uninhibited with his various desires and dislikes. The axeman has heard nearly every insult in the book and throws them around when he gets upset. He has a nigh-inhuman alcohol tolerance despite actively despising his inability to get drunk. He's tough, both mentally and physically. Has an intense and powerful hatred about things ordained by 'fate'.

Biography: As the son of a whore and a bandit, the child that became the alcoholic known as Jonathan Walker was always stubborn. He was born and nursed by his mother for only long enough for him to learn how to walk. Then he was tossed directly into the workings of the local banditry by one of the men who could have been his father. As a child, he didn't approach the front lines, but was put to work quickly doing menial labor tasks.

His work with the bandits was short-lived as the local banditry were finally routed by the Plegian military in between one of the civil wars that plagued his home country. As a so-called 'impressionable youth' he was drafted into the standing militia in time for yet another of the wars. He was barely more than a child when he killed his first man.

When the most recent civil war ended, he deserted taking his axe and his anger to Yilsse. He spent the next mouths lost and aimless, getting in brawls and using brute strength to bully his way through his new life. He's made his living as a chained dog, and finds his new life below even his sub-par standards. If nothing else, he wants to show the world that damned him to a life of drinking away his problems and beating the ones that stuck around that he will take the fight to it.

Personality:
Mei'lin has a strong sense of loyalty due to her background and is not easily wavered by decisions concerning her family and country, this being the case, her choices in taking sides in battle is heavily dependent on them. Being influenced by her nationalistic family, she takes pride in her Chon'sin origin and willingly fights for the nation. Her thoughts on Naga is positive, mostly thankful for the adoptive family she was given but is not exactly active in her religious belief. The maiden is usually collected, believes hard work is the key to anything, and repays debts without fail whether or not the person asks for it. Her personality does not defer even in the guise of a man as she does not see the need of changing her true personality.

Biography:
Hailing from the peaceful nation of Chon'sin, Mei'lin was brought up by a family of warriors who had generously picked her up from the streets to take her in as a young servant girl. Despite the position of servant that she was given, the members of the family treated her fairly well, as if their own. Due to the family composing of swordsmen, its members demonstrated and even trained her in the art of swords to raise her to be able to fend for herself. As she grew into a young maiden with swordsmanship skills, rather than simply being a servant, she also becomes the family's bodyguard with a strong sense of duty, out of gratefulness for what they have done for her all these years.

After the retirement of the head of the family from the army, Mei'lin decides to volunteer herself as a representative of the family saying she has nothing to lose whereas the actual offspring of the family either have children or a family of their own. This way, she feels as if her obligation to repay her debt for the family would be fulfilled and the teachings of the sword they gave her would be of use to her country. The head of the family, after having a number of debates with Mei'lin in her enlisting into the Chon'sin army, became convinced in her decision but advised her to present herself as a man to avoid gender issues and danger of being taken advantage of.

Lei'min, the male disguise of Mei'lin, climbed his way up in the hierarchy of the army with his impressive skill in swords and is currently one of the generals of the Chon'sin army.

Personality: Sanctus is known to be usually cold, ruthless, and even brutal when fighting. In reality, he is a very kindhearted and caring individual who will always try to assist those in need and for others who he considers friends or those who he believes is just in their cause or act., even if it puts himself at great risk or harm He is unwilling to hurt those who stand in his way if they are innocent, but he will do so, while begging them to forgive him, if all other options are exhausted. He is completely ruthless, however, when dealing with those who are his enemies, as he has never hesitated to kill any who get in his way or anyone who pillages or harms civilians.

Outside of combat, he is a cheerful and mature person, but not afraid to make a joke and pretty laid back. He has a fondness for alcohol and a near-disturbingly high tolerance for it. He also loves to eat, and loves trying new cuisine whenever he can. He owns a flute, is a decent flute player. His music can often be heard flowing through the air after meal times.

He has been known to put on a child-like air when it suits him to act as such, like when he was travelling around with the caravan, he acted as he appeared, a naive child. However, towards those who know his true self he is far less inclined to do so.

Biography:
Born somewhere, raised nowhere. Sanctus has traveled around for the most of his life, seeking to hone his skill and in search of adventure. He has manakete ancestry, however it was so far back, he does not have any manakete powers; he did inherit his appearance and long levity from that ancestor. He doesn't know how old he is due to never having a birthday to go from. Due to his appearance, he has often been insulted and ridiculed, he has learned to take it, but one time, he snapped and nearly killed someone. He has also had trouble making friends, despite his personality.

The earliest Sanctus could remember, he lived in a small nameless village by the blacksmith for 6 years. But then bandits attacked the village, most of the villagers were slain, Sanctus survived because the blacksmith hid him before he too was slain. Cursing the fact that he was not strong enough to protect them Sanctus picked up swordsmanship and he became a wanderer. He made his way through many lands, seeking adventure. He came to a city, were he was robbed. Alone and without belongings, he too turned to thievery just to stay alive. He was semi-successful until he tried to pickpocket a certain man. The man who was the head of a traveling entertainment caravan caught him, and through several interesting events that ended in a rampaging bull, Sanctus ended up joining them. He traveled with them for several years, in that time he learned many different skills. The caravan owner was getting on in years, so soon, he retired and the caravan was disbanded. Sanctus was back to being a wanderer. He learned of underground fighting tournaments, and so, looking to increase his skills, he entered. He fought his way through and became the champion. The prize was a lot of gold and an interesting scroll. That scroll, when he read it, gave him the powers of a Dread Fighter. Strangely enough, he found he could use dark magic too. He has heard that the Shepherds where being reformed, so he made his way to Ylisse out of curiosity and in hopes that he could improve his new found skills.

Personality: Lilith's personality is both complex and simple. She fights for money and she does not care about who is paying her or what they want her to do, once it is done and she is paid that's as far as her loyalty goes. Although once she accepts she will not go back on her word even if she will die otherwise. To other people, she is cold, and often rude. But beneath that hard, cold exterior, she is not as heartless as she would acts. She does care a lot about others and sometimes she will go out of her way to help someone in need, even if it could be disastrous for her. She has a soft spot for children and is known to keep candy on her to give out to them. She has no sense of humor, although she grasps sarcasm and uses it often.

History:
Lilith was born in Ferox to a very poor family. Her father was an abusive drunk and her mother often very sick. They lived in two room shack with little clothing and blankets to ward off the biting cold seasons. Her father beat her often and the other kids made fun of her and threw stuff at her. Despite this, Lilith never lost hope that one day everything will turn out all right. Her mother was a good storyteller and often told her tales of kings, knights, and heroes of old. Lilith loves to listen to those tales, and her favorite was the Tales of the Shepherds where a band of courageous men, led by the dashing and Noble Prince Chrom took on a dark dragon and saved the world. She also liked exploring the woods, and she was there almost every day.
As she grew up, she taught herself how to fight and trained day after day. She also learned to deal with both physical and emotional pain. The other kids soon learned to be wary of her, after she single handedly beat a large group of boys that made fun of her. She also stood up to her father more often. One day when she was fifteen, she wandered farther in the forest then she had ever gone before, she was suddenly surrounded by bandits. They captured her then, bound, blindfolded and gagged her. They took her back to her father, and she learned that her father had sold her to the slavers for a very large sum of money. She was taken away. But, as the slavers were traveling a mercenary band called Silver Falcon, hired by the crown to hunt slavers, found that group. They slavers fought rather than give up. The band killed the slavers and freed her. One of the mercenaries , a kind pacifist named Marcon found Lilith and decided to take her in. She lived with the band for many years and they taught her all about the arts of war. Several years later she decided to leave the band and go off as a freelance mercenary where she built a formidable reputation as a very reliable merc. She never forgot about her mother, and she sends half her earnings to her to pay for medicine, treatments and so she can live in comfort.

Personality: Travis is a young man that can rarely be seen cracking a smile. He remains mostly stoic at all times and prefers to keep most people at a fair distance. However, those that manage to befriend him can easily obtain his loyalty. Travis is a very diligent worker who can constantly be seen training. Because of this, he tends to put more priority on keeping his body in top shape than improving his book smarts. While he isn't slow-witted by any means, he is considerably less learned than he should be. He can usually be very short-tempered when dealing with carefree people and won't hesitate to chew them out if he catches them fooling around. He tends to be very blunt when he's speaking, never hesitating to speak his mind no matter who he's speaking to. As a result, he often comes off as rude, which, in all honesty, he is. Travis is very aware that he lacks people skills and sometimes tries to remedy this, to mixed results.

Biography: Travis was born the son of a farmer named Hiram. His mother was nowhere to be seen, as she died soon after giving birth. While his father would sometimes show bitterness over this fact, he knew better than to force his anger upon the child.

For a good portion of his life, Travis would spend most of his time helping his father run their small farm in Ylisse. Their lives remained mostly uneventful for some years, that is, until bandits struck. They stole what they pleased, threatening to kill Travis and his father if they interfered. Soon afterwards, they left after taking everything they desired, burning down all of the father and son pair's property. With their only means of surviving clearly gone, both of them had to find new work.

They took what little farm tools they had left and became mercenaries for hire, using the tools as improvised weapons. For obvious reasons, many were reluctant to even consider the duo for work. After only a few days, the two of them became desperate for any sort of job. A new window opened up for them in their time of need. Not to say that it was necessarily a good one.

On their travels, they were offered a job by an up-and-coming group of bandits. While Travis was reluctant to accept, his father quickly convinced him to accept. By this point in time, they were already reduced to begging for both food and work. Promises of proper equipment for the job also sweetened the deal. The job? Raid a nearby village for goods and supplies. Not only would they be able to keep the weapons they got from the bandits, but also whatever items they managed to pillage. Their offer was suspiciously generous, yet they accepted it anyway.

When the time to actually do the job came, Travis was understandably nervous, as was his father. For the most part, they did next to nothing as the bandits stole supplies. Conflict soon came as the villagers fought back. Due to their lack of proper equipment, they were useless against the group. Travis tried avoiding a fight for as long as he could, seriously considering running away altogether. He wasn't given the chance, however. A young villager came charging right at him, giving him no choice but slash at his enemy to survive. Travis nearly had a panic attack as he saw the other boy's head laying on the floor.

Countless corpses surrounded the area after all was said and done. The village was noted by the bandit leader, Trevor, and was scheduled for a revisit in the future. While Travis was still getting over the trauma of having killed a person, Hiram was being paid their fee for the job. He, too, had killed on the mission, yet ignored any feeling of regret with the reasoning that he had to commit such atrocities to even stand a chance at surviving in the world.

Upon hearing of Travis's regret, Hiram comforted him by sharing the same thoughts he used to justify his actions. His words successfully calmed Travis down, only for his son's fright to be replaced by anger when hearing what else his father had to say. Trevor offered the duo a permanent spot on their still growing gang, which Hiram accepted. Initially, Travis was outraged. especially because. He thought something strange was going on from the very beginning. But when Hiram brought up that it was their only shot at a steady job, Travis had no choice but to accept as well.

For two years, Travis was forced to help the bandits with their raids. During this time, he noticed some odd changes in Hiram's personality. With each battle, the fury Hiram fought with increased each time. Over time, he had grown very accustomed to fighting with axes and his skill in combat had changed drastically. It seemed as if the man was born to fight, to the point where Trevor had even chosen him as his right-hand man for this fact alone.

Eventually, while attacking another village, the bandits were met with a group of noble warriors who had heard of the bandits' deeds. They went by the "Falcon". Unlike the others they've faced, these people proved to be a significant challenge. Well...to all but Hiram. On the battlefield, the man was an absolute monster. Death befell countless men that day. Travis, who was near the warrior, was still horrified by how much he had truly changed. Shockingly, he even smiled while cutting them down.

A realization dawned upon him as he saw this. That man was no longer his father. Everything he had been told about joining the bandits for self-preservation was a complete lie, Hiram enjoyed having the power to kill. After being weak for so long, the former farmer had been corrupted as soon as he got the strength he so desired. Completely sickened by the man, Travis decided that putting him out of his misery was his only choice.

Travis stabbed him in the back (both literally and figuratively), killing him on the spot. For the rest of the battle, he sat down with his sword right beside him, surrendering himself to the will of the opposing force. His former comrades all died one by one, including Trevor, signifying the end of his commitment to the man. Then, his turn to die seemingly came as the leader of the Falcon, Lionel, approached him. Before he could be struck down, he inquired as to why Travis sat down and did nothing. Travis replied that he knew the error of his ways and expected comeuppance for them.

Instead, he was given the offer of tagging along to the Halidom of Ylisse instead, which was where the band of warriors were formed. While taken aback by the offer, he consented and rode with the Falcon to the Halidom. During their traveling, Travis asked why Lionel allowed him to come with his group despite his actions. To which Lionel replied that it would be a chance to repay the debt he owed.

Travis would soon come to realize what that meant. Lionel personally welcomed him into his family, telling him that he could make up for his misdeeds if he chose to protect Ylisse. Travis accepted and was welcomed into Lionel's family. The great warrior had even chosen to pay for his admittance to a sword fighting academy. The boy was very young, only 15 at this point, but had great potential due to the experience he had as a fighter.

For four years he worked hard to become a powerful warrior for Ylisse, honing his skills. Soon, as the religious crusades began and the Champion of Naga sought people to help him, Travis decided to step up as his first official task as a soldier.

Very matter of fact and blunt, this man comes across as one of the most honest- if not abrasive- souls many have ever encountered. Though his loyalty lies truly with his family, his service to the Church has been steadfast and zealous- some would say even cold hearted. In combat, he's like a statue, standing erect and ever still; his eyes ever scanning the battle before shouting orders to his house guard that accompanies him.

However, as sinister as this man seems, he cares for his men. He'll never send his troops into a situation where they have no chance, and does not execute prisoners or surrendering enemies. Though he has raided a few cities of the opposing faction, he has a surprisingly low amount of civilian casualties- punishing any soldier that dares to step out of line. If spoken to in private, one will find it near impossible to garner any secrets he does not openly speak of; an unwavering stare unnerving many that find themselves in it's gaze.

- Biography:

Fourth born heir to the Volkanon family, a noble house located in the Kingdom of Valm, he was offered to lead a contingent of his families house-guard under the banner of the church by his father. Though having no personal opinions on the matter, Varrus was quick to take up the charge in an attempt to bring honor and power to his family name. Though possessing a strong position as they were, the Volkanon's patriarch had grown power hungry and saw a chance to bolster his standings even more at the cost of a distant heir to his title.

As both the boy and his father's figures came into view, both were seen seated at the opposite ends of a rather large and lavish display of food and beverages spread across the table in the family keep.

"So I take it you've heard already?" The boy's father stated, reaching across the table as he drew a piece of bread from a display before him, "It's to be expected. Seems every secret spoken these days spreads like wildfire."

"Yes, father. Though I've forgotten the name of the person divulged the information," Varrus offered, glancing knowingly over to a female servant now fidgeting in the corner. Though she offered him a subtle smile and bow of her head in thanks, he'd fail to acknowledge it as he looked back to his father, "So, you'd send me to the front."

"Yes, yes- but merely as a figure head, and nothing more. You're to lead our troops in whatever endeavors the Chuch lays before you. Though I doubt you'll be anywhere close to the fighting." Spoke Lord Volkanon, his thinly veiled attempt at a lie all but ignored by his son.

"I see. So what has the church promised 'us'," Varrus spoke pointedly, "In return for our loyalty? Something worth the cost of your men and blood, I hope."

"... That is no concern of yours," The narrow eyes of his father pointed like daggers in his son's direction, though maintaining a half-hearted smile as he did so, "Just do your family proud, and you'll see your loyalty rewarded."

"Very well, Lord Volkanon. I'll see to the perparations at once. Gods willing, I may actually return." And with an empty bow, the boy turned and left, earning an even harder sneer from his father who now openly displayed his disdain. No more words were spoken, no more lies told; Varrus simply rallied the company of men his father promised, and marched them with all due haste to the church to awaiting his new life... A soldier on the front lines.

Personality:

A cold, quiet, mountain of a man, Roark stands head and shoulder above many in the Kingdom of Valm. Known across the land as the 'Reaver', this once legendary Axeman had settled down in the service of Lord Volkanon as the court's executioner. Though seeming completely devoid of any sort of emotion, the man revels in the prospect of combat, and is only loyal to whomever offers him the next fight.

Biography:

Born as a 'servant' to a devilishly cruel and ruthless Lord, Roark grew up knowing only the hardships that were forced upon him and his family. Serving as a whipping boy for the Lord directly, it was said his station was the result of punishment upon his mother and father- who had conceived the boy without permission of their betters. As such, he received many beatings and other abuses that threatened to break the young boy at an early age. However, when his body began to grow and change over the years- into a rather formidable form- the Lord grew scared of the boy and turned his punishments back onto the mother and father. It didn't take long for this to strike a nerve with Roark- having grown wise to his own strength. So the day that slavemaster grew too zealous and murdered the boy's mother and father, the same boy took an axe to his 'Lord's' skull and cleaved it in two.

It was said that the battle for this keep lasted five days, in which Roark led his fellow slaves against their masters, showing no mercy to any noble within the keep- no man, woman, or child. It was this bloody display that earned the man the nickname, Reaver, and saw him lead his band of slaves to become some of the most feared bandits in Valm. Though this continued for several years, eventually the Kingdom of Valm sent in a contingent of their own military in to deal with the problem. After another bloody battle had been fought, Roark was now upon the losing side. Subdued and captured, Roark was set to be executed for his crimes against the nation, but Lord Volkanon had other plans. He offered to keep an eye on Roark in such a way that he could never be in that position of power again, but able to reap all the poor souls his heart could desire. Being no stranger to bloodshed, his new master set him to work almost immediately as the court's executioner.

It wasn't until he was called to work for the boy under the banner of the church that Roark protested. Why should a mighty warrior like him play second-fiddle to the bosses brat? Yet, when Volkanon threatened to remove his 'hospitality', Roark reluctantly accepted his new charge. Now serving as an informant for his master, Roark stands beside Varrus in combat, ready and willing to feed his axe.

Personality: Isacc is a collected and calm young man able to keep his cool under extreme circumstances. He is a merciful person as he would never kill an enemy if they put down their weapons and begged for their lives. Isacc is an honourable man caused mostly by how he was raised and how he was brought up to dislike cowardice and shady tactics.

Biography: Isacc is the son of a noble living inside a city within the country of Valm his family are known for being devote to the Gods and Tiki. When Isacc was a child he had a mostly sheltered life sometimes just spending hours just thinking of his future. at the age of eight Isaac's Uncle who was duke of Valm began to teach Isacc the ways of the sword. Isacc had also practiced magic and magic theory but he felt inclined to swords. By the time he was an adult he was a capable fighter. Currently he was sent to Ylisse to get away from the upcoming war by his uncle.

Personality: A hardened and strong young woman, she leads the church's armies as the Grand Master tactician of Valm. She seen wars and horrors beyond the scope of what can be imagined here, however if you get past the bitchy attitude she's generally very nice, a lover of music and the finer things in life. She enjoys most of all however winning and defeating her opponents.

Biography: Having begun serving the church two years ago she climbed up the ladder and is now second in power only to the grand Cleric who many believe is her puppet. Some say she orchestrated this war while others claim she is simply a devote follower. No one knows anything on her history before her arrival whoever it's clear she has made it her mission to capture the Champion and have him stand trial.

She kills manipulates and schemes to get what she wants and she always get it. Some claim that she could be the next great tactician, joining the likes of Mark, Robin, and Morgan in the history books. She believes that she is smarter than that wretched Ylissian boy and plans to insure his total destruction, Naga help those who fail her in this task.

Personality: Sweet and kind the picture of a good follower of Naga and dedicated Cleric. She was raised and named a living Saint of Naga by Tiki. Shy and quiet fears her new role she embraces the people and millions would follow her to the end of Earth. Naive and easily embarrassed she declared the crusade believing it could help those in other countries, seeking only to aid others.

Biography: Growing up in a noble house the youngest of eight daughters she found herself sent off at a young age to join the Church. She stayed in a small monastery in the southern edge of Valm, yet when was but seventeen the village was raided. The wells were poisoned as the bandits left and they would all die without water. The only remaining member of the Church she lead the people towards the hills, into wild land and two days she asked them to dig. They struck water, geysers of it shot from the ground huge artisan wells. She'd saved them and it was miracle a year later she was given a Saint who and three years ago after the passing of the last Grand Cleric she was named head of the Church.

- Personality: A reserved man, Sammael enjoys the energy of being around a group of people, but is very introverted when it comes to larger groups or complete strangers. Because of his upbringing needs a sense of loyalty from an individual before he is talkative, but that won't stop him from going through the normal graces of a conversation. He kills only to eat or protect himself and allies.

- Biography: On an island off the coast of Valm there was an area called the Garden of Giants. At this place many individuals wanting to test their skills travelled from all different lands, supposedly even from other realms. Under the tutelage of Priam, the island, now known as Pria, became a center for learning the art of combat and magic. The main trades and exports were strong arms and mercenaries, but salves that came from distant lands and items with infused magical properties became common here as well. Before Sammael was born a male Wolf Clan Laguz came over to test his might against Priam. Having lost as many others had, he stayed and joined the community to better himself through training under the Radiant Hero.

After many battles and losses this Laguz found love in the healer that continued to mend him. They wed in the Garden of the Giants in front of the eyes of dozens of nationalities. Not long after they began to have children. A small litter with three children came first, then one of six afterwards. All nine male, much to the chagrin of the mother. As they children grew the island's size and population did as well. The center for trade became its own utopian country, for better or worse. The Radiant Hero grew old and left for his home world, but not before leaving a council of a dozen different people in charge of the island, one of them being the Laguz Wolf.

Each child grew up with a normal human appearance, yet increased senses of smell and hearing. A few learned their mother's gift of magic, while other preferred a more physical form of combat. Sammael was one of the second litter and learned some of his mothers potion making. While he was a mother's boy Sammael did eventually learn a fighting style, despite being fairly non-violent, at least in comparison to the rest of his family. the Bow fit him best, being away from the fight and making precise, necessary kills. Life on Pria was wonderful until the raids began. The invaders were unknown and could not match the might of those trained by the Radiant Hero, but even the strongest blades do break. A couple boarding parties did eventually make it to shore and had a very precise plan; target the women of the isle. When ashore they were efficient, taking the lives of many women, including Sammael's mother.

This sent the family into deep depression, causing all nine children to eventually leave home, traveling the world by themselves to find their own way. Sammael made his way across the southern tip of Valm, traveling over ships to reach Plegia (and Alley) and eventually the Halidom...

Personality: Very happy-go-lucky, Alley is usually seen with a small smile on when she isn't trying to make people laugh. She finds fights to be enjoyable, like a game, and even when she gets injured she laughs and congratulates her opponent. Her mind wanders easily, like walking through a bazaar with many shiny objects and colors everywhere. The only time she concentrates is in the heat of battle, and even then it would be hard-pressed to call what she does "concentrating".
Biography:
- What Alley Remembers: Less than two years ago she woke up half naked and bloodied in an alleyway. Around her were a dozen corpses, five of which filled with arrows by Sammael who was now treating her wounds. When he asked "What were you doing in this alley?" she mistakenly thought he was calling her by name, as she couldn't remember anything. Her response? "In what?! I'm damn near nude!" and proceded to try and find bits of armor to cover herself in. Amnesic from either being beaten or another recent experience, Alley continued to follow Sammael, assuming she knew who he was, trying to figure out her past through him. After a month of finally convincing her he knew nothing she broke down into tears for a whole day, having travelled so far with him and being no closer to her answer.

The next day she woke Sammael with a smile on her face saying there was nothing to be sad about, because now she would start a new life with her new best friend, him. Unbenownst to her, Sammael plotted course for the capitol city of the Exalt, hoping she would be able to find a solution to his new comrades ailment. With time her skills with a lance came rushing back, allowing the pair to survive in the wild or be mercenaries when needed as they travelled. Now they find themselves in the heart of the largest city either has laid eyes on, both searching for solutions...
