[OOC] Kingdom Hearts: The Keyblade War.

There's something about the Heart Types that still confuses me. Each one is apparently designed to fulfill a sort of RPG role. Wise are Mages, Guardians are Tank Fighters, and Champions are DPS Fighters. Where exactly does that leave the Valorous Hearts? They wield two Keyblades, sure, but it sounds like they have all the worst traits of Guardians and Champions (slowness, frail defenses) but seemingly none of the advantages save for a second blade. I'm actually wondering if having a second blade is worth being comparatively weaker than other characters since I'm not seeing any other real advantage to having a Valorous heart. I'm sticking with my character regardless, it's just that this has been nagging at me for a while now.

I have been a bit curious about this as well. I think it was designed to make them a bit more fair because they have the two blades but I see what your saying where it could look like being comparatively weaker than the other characters. I would be curious to hear the answer to your question.

@Double it gives you two abilities, it also allows better dueling. You might be a bit slower and less agile but it's made for in the fact that you are just flat out better in a Keyblade to Keyblade fight. With two blades against one you generally can win pretty easily.

Keyblade powers: Chen's Keyblade has the unique ability to transfer small groups of people through the world's. It takes a big toll on Chen when transporting more than himself and he can only do so once a week. Combat wise Chen has an innate understanding of Magic and can rapid fire spells with little effort.

Spells: Air, Blizzard, and Magnet Spells
Bio: There once was a world named Eden. Eden was world of forests and nature, yet also one of cities and technology. Animals and humans lived in harmony with one another. Chen lived a life of peace and happiness in a city called Sky. He was the resident magician, he brought joy to all the children with his amazing magic tricks. He could make it snow, find lost toys with a flick of his wrist, no such thing as a cloudy day when he could blow the clouds away.

It was on a Wednesday when his life changed. He had found a strange key in his home and darkness shrouded the city. There were no clouds, no children playing in the streets, no animals galloping through the streets, only monsters. They were made of pure darkness and they fed upon the hearts of men. Chen had never seen anything like it, there was no talking nor reasoning with them, all they did was feed and destroy. He somehow knew that the key was the only defense, so he grabbed it and got to work. His magic could now hurt, his ice which caused snow now caused blizzards, his talent to make toys fly into his hands now caused the monsters to fly into each other as he created what appeared to be black holes, where he once pushed away clouds he now pushed away the darkness. Alas, no one man could fight the dark. He was overwhelmed and in what he thought were his last moments he activated the final base ability of his Keyblade. He teleported to the Radiant Garden to save himself.

When he awoke he spoke with a few locals to find out what had happened to his beloved Eden. Over time he found out his world was now gone. Taken by the monsters who he now knew to be the Heartless. Apparently there was a war going on between Keyblade wielders like himself, the ones in Darkness could control the Heartless while the ones in Light fought to destroy them. Chen thought long and hard on who was right in this war and after a few months of thinking he reached a conclusion. After what he saw in Eden, he knew that the Dakrness could not be destroyed. It could only be controlled, lead to destroy what was unimportant. This lead him to Twilight Town and with it, a life of Darkness. With his new life has taken on the name Azazel, The Fallen Angel.

The World

Name: Eden
Description of the world: Eden is very similar to Earth, the only real differences being a complete lack of war. Everyone loves in harmony and there is no violence whatsoever inside of Eden. It is essentially the perfect world with a completely pure heart.
Where you fit into the world: Chen is a magician who entertains people within the city of Sky. He's also the resident problem solver, whenever there's a problem people usually call on Chen to fix it.
Recent history: Eden has been completely destroyed by the Heartless.

I've honestly only played one of the games and half of another. Most the info I looked up or asked Apollo about. Just thought I should give a heads up so that if you see a flaw in something I write or it doesn't work that you all can let me know

Yeah and don't forget that Chen is from a world where war never existed. So even if he knew the full scope of the situation he would still be pretty confused.

The Keyblade War was, as far as I can tell, not necessarily fought between Light and Darkness. It was just the Keyblade Wielders killing each other off in the hopes that their fighting would allow one of them to forge the X-blade. It's never stated, but to me that implies that there was a lot of manipulation and backstabbing going on a la Game of Thrones, hence why Cyrus's backstory is the way it is (he was introduced to war via manipulation by one of the more experienced Keyblade Wielders, at least until Cyrus got wise and started fighting for himself, becoming the Grimm Reaper).

Right now everyone is in Twilight Town.

Arthal and Bellasiel have sent out an invite of sorts for people to join their cause.

The others are going about their own thing, some hearing of this invite but weary on the idea it might be a trap as far as they know since these two are strangers to them.

Arthal summoned his Keyblade's which made some heartless appear as well as a Darker KeyBlade user though a weak one and Arthal sent her back to tell the other Dark Keyblade users a warning.

It is still very new so you could probably read the posts pretty quick but this is the jist I think?

Pretty much anyone if fair game to interact with except for maybe Cyrus seeing as he is alone on the clock tower.

Beginning to think that Trusted Heart's ability is a bit... well, lame to be honest. At least in comparison to my Reaper's Touch and some of the other Keyblade abilities that others are using.
