Okay, um... my ruling is the guns have to be kept very secret(so no blatantly walking around with them) and extremely well-locked-up. Toshiko probably puts a magic lock on stuff like that(she has her own dangerous items to lock up too) so the kids can't get to them.

As for why children are detectives, most likely because they're willing to help and Toshiko is generally okay with taking them on cases as long as there's not a corpse or something.

Jun's not an actual employee of the detective agency even part time. He just gets involved in cases because he insists on going and will probably try and get involved in cases regardless of whether Toshiko lets him.

Mm, that'll probably cause some confusion with Mearii then. Something along the lines of...

*walks into the building with all her equipment and stuff in a sports bag*

*spots little kiddies jumping around and doing kid stuff*

"Could've told me that it's a daycare as well, Toshiko..."

More seriously though, is it still alright for Mearii to carry around the Glock? She pretty much passes it off as a model gun due to that magic 'safety lock' when she's not using it, and sees it as a necessary component for living safely as a cannibalistic youkai with no magical powers.

Hmm...I'm trying to think of how Jun would interact with the various different characters.

I'm not sure what he'd think of a Youkai that eats other youkai given that his family's original duty before they all died under mysterious circumstances involved hunting rogue youkai and other magical threats.

Kei will probably like kids. Enough to hang around despite how distrustful he is of generally everyone.

By the way, for the mysterious benefactor of Kei I mentioned before, I don't mind if he's included in a minor/major/relevant part of the story. I prefer that said benefactor won't be evil, but... (In fact, I think his benefactor will be the only reason Kei comes to Fu Sonzai no Genso. Namely, him leaving Kei a note telling him to 'get a job!')

Well, not exactly sure how detecting youkai works, but going along the myth in which gumihos become 'human' if they abstain from eating humans for 1000 days or something, and considering Toshiko won't even let the kids see a corpse or touch a gun, I doubt she'll inform him that one of the detectives is a cannibalistic youkai. And Mearii's pretty good at keeping quiet.

The worst scenario would just be that Jun would think that she was an illegal immigrant working as a youkai hunter (maybe to escape loan sharks from some foreign gang), I'd think. XD

I have a few character ideas, the foremost of which being somewhat complex.

Would it be possible for a supernatural creature to be sealed and serve as a familiar (or more specifically, a shikigami)? My first character idea is that of an older, experienced onmyouji who some time in the past depowered and sealed into servitude an old and powerful vampire.

Hmm... sealing magic does exist, but I'd have to think about it...

Well, she dislikes humans in general, since she's going to have a bit of a superiority complex to start with. Age doesn't really have much to do with that, though it probably has made her more jaded as time passed. Hopefully this RP runs long enough to have some good Character Development happen~
