The sun was just above the horizon when the door stemming from the main chamber to the throne room in Stradonia opened. A young man, with his pale skin and light clothing looked to each of his guards before giving a very stiff walk towards the throne itself. Sitting down, he looked around for a moment. All was silent before her finally let out a sigh and sat up a bit.
"Where is mekkah?" He spoke in a rather dull voice.
As soon as he spoke, the guards seemed to tense a bit, clearly worried for their sake. After a few while one of the guards, a small blue cape on him as he knelt. Kanaan waved his hand and shook his head at the man, and he stood. The knight then spoke.
"Mehhak decided to venture into the city, sir. I think that she may be at the tavern again"

Cheers from inside the tavern where heard as a small woman spun and lept from table to table. She was smiling and dancing and held a large mug of honey ale. Tossing a sack to the bartender she was given cheers as she shouted. "Another round for everyone!" and lept to a new table, sitting with the person on the booth.
"Well, hello there, how're you liking the display?"

Lyn looked at Mekkah frostily, her ice blue eyes seemingly drilling into her very soul.
"I've seen better," she said, turning back to the drink in her hand, taking another gulp.
She'd heard rumours about several shady individuals in this city, and had come along to check them out. So far, she had found nothing.

Mekkah was instantly defeated mentally by those eyes. The emperor happened to have some similar to that and he always stared her down when he was mad. But that changed when she heard the other girl's words and stood up instantly, a cheerful grin on her face and a wink.
"Well then, I suppose I've just have to do better!" She gloated, spinning up into the air, only to spread like a starfish, holding a large red ribbon as she stopped. She twirled it around her as she danced, stopped on to swing backwords and gulp down her drink, and to occasionally fill it with more alcohol.

As Visel walked into town and down the road she thought to herself "this looks like a good town to stop and settledown in for a few days" then she spotted an inn where she heard people yelling and she assumed were having a good time. As she walled closer the yelling got louder, she opened the door to the inn and sat down at the bar "the strongest stuff you got and a room" she sed as she threw a couple of coins on the bar table.

The bar tender came back with a brown square bottle with black contents that read 'oil water' and poured her a shot glass "what are you doing?" She sed to the bar tender "I ordered a whole glass not a tinny one" then the bartender spoke back "but this is not meant to be drunken by the glass mam" he'd sed with awe in his voice. "Just poor what I ordered" she sed.

The bartender poorer a whole glass of the black liquor. Then she grabbed the glass and downed the bitter black liquor and asked for another glass After she stood up and leaned on the bar to have a look at everyone. Especially the one dancing on the tables.

Lyn sighed, putting a hand to her forehead.
"I don't have time for this. Either tell me where I can find Kanaan Zuguan or leave. Im on important business," she said, standing up to pay her tab.
She'd heard that this Kanaan had jobs for explorers, and she needed the money. Her personal quet would have to wait a while.

Emma gleefully watched the girl jump around on the tables, playing a happy tune on her harmonica. This girl definitely seemed like her kind of girl. Emma stood and began dancing along with the music she was playing, taking sips of her ale every once and a while. She clicked her heels and skipped around the room, until she stopped in front of the exciting girl. She took her lips away from her harmonica for a few moments to say, "Nice dancing, lass!" before continuing to play her tune.

"Thanks, same to you" The same eager voice responded to Emma happily, continuing to dance until she heard the ice elf's words. She stopped dancing instantly, and squatted down on the table to get a better look at the person before her. Carefully she scanned her up and down before sighing, her finger raising in the air. She seemed a bit more serious now.
"Well, I suppose you'll do...he tends to like people with a bit more clothing on them, but that doesn't matter. Knowing mister Kanaan, he'll hire just about anyone. I bet you if you stay here a bit longer you'll see him" She said, putting her hand by her mouth as if to hide her words from the others.
"He hates when I go out into town, he thinks 'i don't get enough work done' hehehehehe"

Lyn blinked when she heard the comment about Mekkah not getting enough work down.
"What does he work as, a pimp?" She asked, genuinely not sure.
She wasn't sure what weird customs they had around here. Though she wasnt looking forward to having to stay here for even longer.

Mekkah looked to her in suprise before pulling her body back, laughing loudly. Returning to Lyn as she wiped away a tear caused by her laughter, she held her stomach and spoke. "Oh, that is comical...wait, you really do think that don't you?" She said with a bit more of a chuckle. She then moved to slowly try and tap Lyn with her fist. "Kanaan is too nice of a man for that. I'm his adviser! have you not heard of the illustrious 'Mekkah' ?" she said eagerly, puffing her chest out and giving a dramatic stance.

It felt weird not having the whole Company with you, still it also had a certain charm to it. The small group of 13 men had left the rest of the Raven Company in four small camps roughly a day's ride apart from each other. The men carried no banners, but the black raven emblems on their armors gave away their allegiance.

Oddly only one of the men wore a helmet, and what a helmet it was! It was shaped like the head of a roaring lion and it completely hid the wearer's face. Still, those who had heard the rumors would easily recognize him as Martel Corbanet, or Lord Corbanet as he wished to be called. He kept his gaze towards the ground as the sunlight made his eyes ache. "If it had not been my own idea coming here I would be complaining." He shook his head and headed to the tavern where he finally removed his helmet and managed a polite smile as he ordered drinks for his men and an empty goblet for himself. The group of armored men quickly found places to sit and began their own little conversation.

"No," Lyn said plainly, "I haven't. What does this Kanaan do then?"
This girl was annoying her, and she wanted to be rid of her and get on with whatever job she would recieve. Her eyes darted over to the soldiers entering the tavern, noting their emblem.
"Raven Company," she muttered to herself.

"Oh, kanaan normally just sits around, acting all high and mighty and tries to keep his kingdo-" SHe began, only to see the multiple soldiers. She noted the other girls words and sat down, filling both of their drinks. "So...you know them then? They look like trouble to be honest..."

"I've met them before. They're a private hire army, one of the only ones of its kind. And a good one at that. However, me and my order disagree with their tactics," Lyn said, sipping her drink, before pausing for a second, "Wait, did you say running the kingdom?!"

Makkah glared through the tavern as it went silent now. She could tell these guys where up to no good. Probably starting troubling in the direct area. She scuffed before reclining in her seat with her same old smile. She would keep an eye on them, and more importantly keep Kanaan away from them. He tends not to do well with people like that, but who knows what he might hire. Hearing the other girl's words she jumped up.
"Of course, didn't you know? Lord Kanaan is the man who rules this kingdom"

Lyn sighed and put a hand to her forehead.
"Why on earth does an emperor need an Unbound Sisters assistance?" She asked Mekkah, "Surely he has an army to do his bidding?"
She groaned for a second.
"Can you take me to him?" She asked eventually, hating that she had to ask this annoyance for help.

Martel did not pay that much attention to the conversations that were happening around himself and his men, not until he noticed Lyn. He could sense the self righteousness of a member of the Order of the Light. The tall man finished his drink and left the two large bottles in the care of one of his men. When Martel got on his feet he noticed the other woman - whom he deduced was a Djinn, or other such being. When the smaller woman mentioned 'Lord Kanaan' the vampire knew he needed a word with her.

"Lads, stay out of trouble." The tall man stated before approaching the two women. He made a little bow and even managed a polite smile. "Now, this is highly impolite of me to butt in to a conversation between ladies. However I heard Lord Kanaan mentioned and it just so happens I need a word with the Emperor." Though he spoke with a very polite tone and focused his attention on Mekkah, Martel's eyes kept moving to glance at Lyn like he was expecting to be attacked.

Lyn stiffened a little as Martel walked over. Her hand moved to the hilt of her rapier.
"And what business does a creature such as yourself want with an emperor?" She said in a low voice.
After working for the order for so long, one almost got a six sense when it came to supernatural beings.

"Oh now, now, M'lady... I would suggest you keep your sword sheathed." Martel rolled his eyes. "Your precious Order does not hold a monopoly on offering their services to someone now does it?" He still kept his tone as polite as he could, but there was a little hint of annoyance in his voice. "I tend not hide what I am. Now, if you have something against me let's hear it, m'lady."

Mekkah looked between the two of them, she could feel the tension, you could close your eyes and the pure anger alone could make you shiver. Still, she kept quiet for the most part. Unfortunately, it would be impolite to just ignore the man, and she had a reputation to uphold in the long run. "Well, like I told her, stay here a bit and he's bound to come in... you look a bit pale, are you alright?" She asked of him, but was fully aware of what he was. The gleam in his eye showed that of an ancient person, someone about the same age as herself.

Martel nodded to the djinn and smiled faintly "An emperor coming to a place like this? Hmh, guess the ale is that good then." He rolled his eyes at her other question, but still smiled. "As I said earlier I tend not hide what I am. I have heard my vampirism is easy to sense, even by the average peasant." He lifted his hands slightly "Now, there is nothing to worry. I am not here to cause trouble. I give you my word."
