Misha yawned as she walked through the corridors in search of her classroom. There were signs and posters pasted on the wall pointing towards the direction of her class, ensuring that the newcomers would never get lost.

She walked at a slow pace, taking the time to get used to her school's layout. Upon arriving at her class, she saw a staff at the door with a table in front of her.

"Hello, are you a new student?" Misha nodded. "Welcome to DWMA. Please sign your name here," the staff gestured towards a clipboard with a list. Misha found her name and quickly signed at the space next to it. The staff then handed her a tag with the words "WEAPON" on it.

"Please put this on and go in, then wait for further instructions. Have a nice day!" She cheerfully greeted as she ushered Misha in.

"Oh my god, oh my god, this is so. . ," Evie paused to look around the colorful corridors that lined DWMA and all of the students that walked through them, ". . exciting? Nerve-wrecking?" She asked herself walking down the hallway, waving her hands in an animated gesture as she turned to her cousin that was walking a few paces behind her. "Are you listening to me, Natalia?"

"Hmm? Oh, yes. Of course I am. I'm just thinking about whether or not this was a bad move on your part," Natalia's eyes scanned over the students at the school, both new and old. These would not only be their classmates and possible friends, but also their possible rivals. Would poor little Evie be able to stand up to that? Not a chance.

"Well. . thank you for thinking about me," she says, offering a soft smile to her cousin as they headed in the direction of the posters, "But I'll become the best Death Scythe ever!" As Evie said this, the two arrived in what would presumably serve as their classroom until graduation. Evie immediately found herself looking around the room with a certain anxiety and excitement. She was practically greedy with ambition at this point.

"We're going to likely become the same type of Death Scythe, idiot," Natalia stated as she immediately turned to offer a charming smile to a woman who had asked if they were new students, "Yes, we are. I'm Natalia and this is Evie. We're both weapons." And with those words sealing their fates, both received stickers saying WEAPON.

Soon, Evie and Natalia would meet their partner. And soon, the quest for Evie's destiny would finally have begun.

Leo arrived at the entrance of his classroom with a huge grin on his face, excited to get started on becoming a meister. He smiled energetically to the staff on duty and followed her instructions, signing his name on the list and receiving his MEISTER tag.

Leo entered the room with the same smile plastered on his face and walked towards one of the walls. He stood there for a few minutes, waiting for further instructions, before he decided that standing alone was lonely. He walked towards two girls that he saw enter the room before him.

"Hello!" He greeted cheerfully. "I'm Leo, it's nice to meet you!" He extended his hand for the two of them to shake.

"Come on, let's make ourselves look like we're doing something productive," Natalia said in a hushed tone to her cousin as she grasped the younger girl's arm and pulled her away from the classroom entrance. "We have to make ourselves stand out to somebody after all."

"Uh, okay, like what?" Evie had just begun to ask and before Natalia could roll her eyes at the girl's question, someone had approached them. Where the hell did he come from? It didn't matter. What did matter is that the bright "MEISTER" tag caught Natalia's attention. The boy introduced himself as Leo and held out his hand for the two of them as a greeting.

"Oh, h-hello! I'm Evie!" Her cousin said in a rather awkward and cheerful voice with her hand slowly making its way towards Leo's for a shake. Before Evie could do so, Natalia jumped in front of her cousin and took Leo's hand, giving it a firm shake, "And I'm her cousin, Natalia. It's a pleasure to meet you," she flashed the boy a charming smile, "Oh! You're a Meister. Are you new here as well?"

Remmy had come as early as possible to DWMA that morning. It was about as soon as the doors opened, really. He had only arrived in Death City the night before and probably could've benefited from a little rest and relaxation, but the anxiety was too much. These early bird tendencies might as well have been both his greatest strength and weakness at the time. The reason? Coming early had only made his anxiety spike to even higher levels.

And now the young teen who had found a comfortable seat in what would likely serve as his classroom noted that he had been officially sitting there and reading for over two hours. By now, people had begun filling the room wearing one of the same two labels: "MEISTERS" for some and "WEAPONS" for others. He was a Meister and therefore needed to pair himself with a weapon.

Remmy was a little embarrassed to admit that while he had the ability to wield a Demon Weapon, he wasn't exactly physically fit and was definitely hoping that his weapon would be a gun of some sort. With his luck, he'd end up getting the extremely illogical weapon that was a scythe. He certainly hoped that this wouldn't be the case.

Glancing up from his book, he peered around the room, inspecting some of those who wore "WEAPON" labels. He wondered which of these would become his partner, if any. Who knows? Maybe his partner hadn't even arrived yet.

Leo smiled sweetly at Evie as she introduced herself and patiently waited for Evie's hand to come into contact with his, however, he was slightly taken aback when the other girl, who introduced herself as her cousin, took his hand instead. Nevertheless, he gave her a firm shake and returned her smile.

"Yep!" He replied cheerfully, "No wonder I thought you two looked alike. Are you both weapons?" He asked, "Weapons bloodline?" he arched one eyebrow up in question. "Sorry, I don't mean any offence, just curious." He smiled apologetically.

Misha yawned for the nth time as she watched the people in the classroom start to mingle with each other. She didn't expect that she'd come to class early, and thus had not prepared anything as entertainment while she waited.

She considered going up to one of the hot guys and flirting with them, but felt too tired to do so, having not slept early the day before. "Damn...shouldn't have stayed up all night reading magazines..." she murmured, feeling another yawn come up.

After a few more minutes of trying to stay awake, there was finally something going on.

A teacher had walked in, quieted the class and instructed everyone to gather around the front table. S/he then introduced her/himself and gave a welcome speech. Feeling herself about to fall asleep, Misha gave her cheeks a slight pinch.

The teacher then went on to what Misha felt was the highlight of the day, the pairing of partners. One by one, the teacher called out the names of her classmates and revealed the pairs.

"As this class has an odd number of students, unfortunately the Meister Leo Beltz will have two weapons. Do not worry, this is only a temporary arrangement until a free Meister is found," The teacher explained, "As this is only the first day of school, we've arranged for a welcome party for everyone! Please follow me."

Misha groaned, although she loved parties, she was feeling so tired she didn't want to have to deal with one right now. "Wonder who this Hayes person is..." She mumbled as she followed her class and the teacher to the party venue, remembering only the first name of her partner.

A strong handshake and a little critical thinking. A good start. "Why, yes. We're cousins. Evie and I are from an exquisite Weapon bloodline, but I'm sure that wouldn't interest you much," she said with a fake laugh as her eyes met Evie's. Evie seemed lost at this blatant lie, but kept her mouth shut as her cousin continued to speak. "Ah, it's not offensive. Don't worry about it!"

As she finished this sentence, there was a sudden shift in the classroom atmosphere. A teacher moved to the front of the classroom, perhaps it was theirs? The idea seemed extremely likely. As the teacher went to quiet the class, Natalia turned to Leo and with a soft voice spoke the following words - "We'll talk again later."

Now to hear what the teacher had to say.

After an excruciatingly boring welcoming speech, partners were announced. Of course, the teacher referred to him as "Hayes" and so Remmy nearly smashed his head against the long table that served as a desk in complete and utter embarrassment. It was to be expected on the first day of school even if Remmy didn't approve of it. He'd get over it.

Maybe he would get lucky and his partner wouldn't remember. Or maybe they weren't paying attention. Or even better, they would just respect the fact that he hated his name and that he preferred to go by Remmy or Remington. Following the end of the speech, Remmy stood up with a sigh, following the party out of the room. All the while, he couldn't help but think about the fact that he wasn't familiar with the name "Misha". It sounded Russian or something. With a name like that, it's possible that his partner would be a guy or a girl.

Great.

How would he find them now?

Immediately after the finale of the speech, Evie grabbed her cousin's arm and began jumping up and down like a child who had one too many pixie sticks, "Natalia! We're paired together! With a guy who is also named Leo!" As she said this, she looked over to the other Leo that they had just met. "Awww, looks like you won't be our Meister."

"Unless," Natalia began harshly, removing Evie's grasp from her arm before softening her voice, "his last name is Beltz."

Leo nodded towards Natalia when he noticed the teacher walk in. He listened to the teacher's welcome speech with boredom, waiting for it to end patiently. When he heard his partners' names, he smiled slightly as he had already met them and wouldn't have to go through the trouble of finding them.

Leo smiled cheekily at Natalia and Evie. "Yep, that's me." He replied with a grin. "Strange how we just met and now we're partnered," He remarked, "What kind of weapons are the two of you? Let me guess...swords?"

The teacher lead the class into a huge multipurpose room, decorated with colorful balloons and banners printed with words such as "Welcome freshman!" The room itself was also heavily decorated with many balloons, as well as ribbons and a few flowers on the tables, which were covered by a liliac tablecloth that reached the wooden flooring. The tables had a huge variety of food, ranging from Eastern to Western cuisine, as well as drinks. Misha's stomach growled at the sight of the food, causing her to realize that it was nearly lunch time.

She moved quickly towards the nearest table, placing just about anything she could see on her plate. Misha wasn't a picky eater, and she was hungry after all. Satisfied with the food she collected, she decided to finally socialize with her class. She set her eyes on the nearest guy she spotted and approached him with a charming smile.

"Hey cutie," Misha ran her eyes appreciatively down and back up to look into his eyes, "you look interesting... What's your name?"

"Yeah, funny how that works," Evie said with a bit of a sheepish laugh as she watched the other students leave the room. "Natalia and I are. . chalkrams? Chakarams? Something like that." Natalia nearly slammed her palm against her face from this comment. Just how stupid could her cousin get? How could someone not know what weapon they are?!

"We're bladed chakrams. You know what those are, don't you? I'm sure you do. I certainly hope you're able to handle us," Natalia said, her eyes flashing to the last students trailing out of the room. "Hold that thought. We can talk later. For now, we should follow everyone else."

The line of students had led to a beautifully decorated room that was loaded with a delicious variety of food. Or at least Remmy assumed it was delicious as it looked like it would be. However, the mere smell only made him nauseous. Had to be the anxiety. Honestly, he should've tried eating something and of course he would choose not to. After all, why would he be satisfied with common sense?

So instead, he ended up taking a seat at a nearby table and resuming to where he left off in his book. This reading session didn't last long as he was immediately interrupted by an unfamiliar female voice with obvious intentions. Was she trying to flirt with him? It most certainly seemed like it. Though Remmy wasn't very outspoken with his thoughts, he certainly was with his personality. He would make it clear that he wasn't going to return her flirt.

"Remington. And you are?" His accent was obvious, but at least his words fell flat. The more uninterested he sounded, the better. It seemed that this day wasn't going as planned.

And he still needed to find his partner.

Misha noticed Remington's disinterest, which made her lose interest as well, she chose to instead talk to him as a classmate would. "Sorry if that made you uncomfortable, just thought of starting a conversation." Misha smiled as sweetly as she could manage, she wanted to at least be friends with him. "Mind if I take a seat here? I'm Misha by the way. Nice to meet you." She said, she held out her free hand for him to shake.

Leo followed behind the last few students and kept his walking pace the same as Natalia and Evie's, "Ah, chakrams. Heard of it before though I've never seen one." Leo remarked sheepishly, scratching the back of his head in slight shame. "I guess I already don't meet your expectations of a meister huh?" He asked.

"Whoa, this is one hell of a venue," He commented as he eyed the array of food. "Would you ladies like anything?" Leo gave a small wink towards the both of them.

In a matter of seconds, the girl's demeanor completely changed from flirtatious to sweet. What exactly was this girl trying to do anyway? It didn't really matter. For now, he'd believe that she really was just trying to start a conversation. And her name was also apparently Misha. He wasn't sure if that was a popular American name or not. Maybe this was. . . his partner?

Could it really have been that simple?

"No, I don't mind," he said, folding back the top corner of the page he was currently on in his book and then proceeding to shut the cover, "Although, if you wouldn't mind me asking you something. . .," he paused, catching a quick glimpse at the bright sticker on her shirt that read WEAPON, "your last name wouldn't happen to be Bonham, would it?"

As the trio followed the trail of students, Natalia matched an equal pace with Leo while Evie occasionally skipped a few steps ahead. Surprisingly, she was doing fairly well if one were to keep her take her hyper personality into consideration. "Nope! I have no expectations for a Meister! Oh! Except maybe niceness and you already seem really nice!" She said, offering a genuine smile as the trio arrived in a flamboyantly decorated room.

"Oh, wow!! Yum!! Everything looks sooooo good!!!" She said, her eyes almost shimmering over the mounds of food, "I want pancakes! If they, uhm, have them," Evie said sheepishly as she inspected the other students in the room, "Wow, they're so many people here who look interesting! And cool!"

As Evie continued to look around the room with bright, child-like eyes, Natalia glanced to Leo, "She's just excited. She's not used to this whole 'Weapon' and 'Meister' thing quite yet," a smile, "Shall we get some food?"

Leo smiled at Evie's honesty, She's just like a child...so innocent and energetic. He thought. He chuckled at Evie's excitement and turned to Natalia, "It's fine! It's a party after all, what's the point of a party if everyone isn't having fun? Come on let's go see if we can find pancakes!" He cheerfully lead the way around the tables, searching for the said food. "Don't think I see it here..." He murmured as he went to another table to continue searching, "Oh but look, I found brownies!" He smiled. "Do you want anything Natalia?"

Misha raised an eyebrow at Remmington, how does he know? She asked herself. Taking a seat next to him, she put her plate of food down and began to eat. She scrutinized him closely, trying to find anything familiar about him to see if she knew this guy from somewhere before, Maybe one of a friend's friend? Someone I flirted with in the past? She questioned herself. "Yeah it is, do I know you from somewhere?" She asked, feeling slightly suspicious of the man.

As Misha got comfortable in her seat across from Remmy, he noticed that she was inspecting him. What exactly was her problem? "Yeah, it is, do I know you from somewhere?" Oh. That makes sense. She was trying to figure out exactly how he knew her name. Their teacher had referred to him as "Hayes" but he could probably write it off as a mistake on the classroom roster. Yeah, he'd try that and see where it would go.

"Well, interestingly enough, I think you and I are supposed to be partners," he said, glancing over to her WEAPON sticker, "Unless there's more than one Misha Bonham at this school."

As Evie ran off towards the food like an energetic child, Natalia took the chance to look around at the other individuals in the room. She briefly wondered what other weapons and meisters would be found here. What other competition. Not wanting to continue to stare like some sort of socially awkward outcast, she decided to follow Leo between the tables looking at the food.

Though she had a rather luxurious breakfast, the food did and smell rather good. Maybe she'd get something to eat. While she was pondering this, Leo had asked her if she wanted something as if he had read her mind.

"Those cookies look rather good. Or maybe the brownies. Not sure if I should be having so many sweets so early in the morning, though," a somewhat genuine smile, "Well, I suppose it wouldn't hurt. After all, it is a party, right?"

Leo grinned, taking a plate and putting a few brownies and cookies for Natalia, before offering it to her. "Here you go! A breakfast full of sweets to energize your day like no other food can do!" He joked. He took a plate of desserts for himself as well. Leo then noticed a table with an array of juices available. "Want any drinks?" He asked the two of them, "I don't mind taking it for you while you find a seat for the three of us." Leo smiled.

She shrugged, her name wasn't anything unique after all, there could be hundreds of Misha Bonhams out there. "Wasn't my partner's name Hayes....something something though? I remember it being some really long name." She replied, taking a bite of her food as she tried to recall the name the teacher announced. "Wow, this is really good, do you want some?" She offered, holding out a fork of a mini sausage towards him.
