As soon as Row'tu caught a glimpse of the monster's level, a lone thought shot through her mind: 'You do not want to be hit by that thing.' Choosing to listen to her conscience and act upon it, Row'tu pushes hard on her carrier's chest to release her from said person's grip quickly, hopefully using enough force to get the message across that she was trying to get out of the Black_Rabbit's hands quickly on purpose. Of course, with the speed they were running, Row'tu tumbled on the ground a bit, however immediately made sure to state she was OK so her courier wouldn't need to distract precious time on her.

"I'm OK!" Row'tu says, gradually getting to her feet as the beast roared. "We need to avoid getting hit by this guy; he's level 25, so-"

Row'tu was cut off as shadowy tentacles bound her feet, keeping her stuck. "U-uwah!" The girl with glasses fell back from having her mobility suddenly constricted, managing to keep at least one arm free from the tentacles should they proceed to coil her upper body limbs also simply by holding onto her staff. Things weren't looking too good for her, that was for sure. However, two could play the bind game...

"Immobal Root!" Row'tu announced as she cast a spell. Just like how the monster had bound her with a spell, she thought of doing the same. However her spell was significantly weaker than the monster's due to the massive gap in level. Even so, she had enough support spells to hold out for a little while if Black_Rabbit had been caught as well...

The girl could already make out the town center, it was only a few more roofs away! As she jumped over a small gap, one of the monsters suddenly appeared right in front of her. Oh well, this makes things interesting she thought, ready to attack the creature as soon as it gave her an opening. What happened next though was unexpected. The skill "Call of the wild" appeared briefly above its head, and out of thin air 3 more monsters materialized all around her. One LV17 would have been a tough challenge, but 4 of these things at the same time? The ninja's smile turned into a sour grin. Crap...what no she couldn't even finish the thought, as every creature attacked her with what seemed a thousand tentacles.

Ruby tried to dodge away, but the tentacles were too many and too quick. One managed to grab her foot, a few more grabbed her by her right arm. With the free hand she grabbed her Kunai, and started slashing angrily at everything that moved. If she wanted to get out of this, she would have to be quick. After a few slashes, the grip on her right arm got loose, giving her just enough time to grab another smoke bomb. "So long suckers!" Ruby announced cheerfully, dropping a little pouch that engulfed everyone on the roof in smoke. The ninja used the opportunity to slash away a few more tentacles, hoping that the rest of them wouldn't be able to grab her through the smoke. When she managed to set herself free, she rolled to the edge of the roof, and slowly dropped down to the street below.

If she wanted to get away undetected, she had to stay away from heights, where she could easily be spotted. Hiding under her hood, she started running towards the city center.

The world was beautiful. All of the hype that had dominated the internet for months didn't even come close to describing it. The colors were so bright, in such high definition, that it seemed even clearer than real life. Aerin breathed deeply, taking in a huge lungful of imaginary air. She loved virtual reality. The sky was a brilliant blue, and the sun cast a shadow back across the ground behind her lumbering form. The programming was so detailed, she could literally feel the grass beneath her now gigantic feet. She looked down at her (well, technically "his") massive hands. It would be fun playing a guy.

"Start Tutorial?" A touchscreen appeared in from of her face, presenting her with two options. She (er... he? She didn't quite know how to think of herself in this form...) was about to select "Yes" when another message popped up to cover the first. Apparently there was some sort of error. Great.. She thought. Rampaging monsters, huh? Oh well, it was dinner time anyway, and brand new games were bound to have a few bugs. She'd log out, eat, and hopefully come back and run through the tutorial when everything was fixed.. Dismissing both notifications, she scrolled through in search of the "Log Off" button.

It was nowhere to be found. She spent a solid minute scrolling through the different screens, trying to figure out if there were any hidden tabs which might provide an escape. She figured out how to equip items, view quests, and track skill progression, but her search was to no avail. Perhaps it was another error? No, she was probably just missing something obvious. Everyone else would be heading toward the center of town, so she decided to follow. Maybe she'd find a beta tester who could show her how to log out.

It was then that she heard growling behind her. She clutched her rusted sword, starting equipment for Paladins. "All right. Guess it's trial by fire for me!"

Lance smirked as he saw the guy take down the monsters, "Nice job" said. He watched as more monsters started to surround them, he opened his menu and accepted the guild invite as well as equipping his beginner sword. "Alright time to strike" he says unsheathing his sword, it gleamed in the light, despite the situation he was in he took the time to admire how well the graphics looked. "Damn this is a good ass game" he said before fighting a lvl 5 shadow monster, He felt his movements being guided. He jabbed at the monsters core twice then slashed its body, his sword then began to glow as he activated a skill dealing a good portion of damage, another shadow monster leaped at him from behind, he saw it out the corner of his eye and used his riposte skill blocking the monsters attack as well as throwing it off balance causing some damage on it. "Damn that was close" Lance said, it seemed that his riposte skill had a cool down. He used an empowered slash finishing off the first monster then back pedaling to create distance to fight the second monster. "There seems like no end to these things" He said.

"Just when you think that it couldn't get any worse..." Black_Rabbit mumbled as the level 25 monster appeared. She had released the mage she just saved and focused back on the monster, which had started it's attack already. Upon activating her weapon, her bracelets began to change forming her gun-gauntlets. It wasn't easy but Black_Rabbit managed to dodge it's attacks for now with her agility, but she wouldn't be able to keep it up for long.

"I'm OK!" Row'tu says, gradually getting to her feet as the beast roared. "We need to avoid getting hit by this guy; he's level 25, so-"
The girl couldn't even finish her sentence before some tentacles wrapped around her. She could only keep her arm and staff save and casted a binding herself on the creature.

The creature had been binded for now and Black_Rabbit knew that she had to do something. I hope this works. She turned towards the tentacle that coiled around the mage. Black_Rabbit began to take a few swings, at the air and with each swing, her gauntlet fired a single explosive shot. It wasn't much but she had to try to free the mage or they would both go down. However Black_Rabbit didn't notice that the mages binding spell began to wear off and the creature was not amused at all, even so more with Black_Rabbit firing at it's tentacle with explosive shots.

IBS finally got his miracle and gripped the rooftop ledge and then pulled himself up escaping the monsters and then he raised his hands to look at them and suddenly got enveloped in a bright light and he was changed into his IRL appearance, he pulled out his sword and glanced at the flat side and then frowned. He looked at the horizon to see if anyone else had the bright light. He then realized he had to get to the Town square and meet the players there so he began running across the rooftops.
