Well, If you read my character's sheet you can get some ideas on how it May work.

If Ellion wants, i can continue writing that parte of the CSS and create a more detailed work on how magic, arcane nodes and the arcane Network Works, creating laws and rules for that.

Ps2: someone do something regarding Hestia and all the Cray shit at the Woods.
Shai is a very kind girl, but she doesnt like to be insulted like that. If things keep going, Shai wont be only defending herself.

Oh~ but Herr Ellion, i am but simply dancing according with the music!
In fact, i was Esther preoccupied on my First "action" with Shai. I thought that it was... Well... Too powerfull.
But i simply felt i needed to do something.
Neither one of the Hunters nearby had any means to perceive the Poison, and if i hadnt made anything... Well... Probally one of them would have turned into snake food.

Also, as i said, think on Shai's Abilities as mostly defensive. The only exclusively offensive Abilities she has até Both the dices and the "falling star" (which has more to do with RAW arcana energy than AM actual star... A pilar of RAW arcane energy crashes down on the Target with a mighty impacto and scorching him... Or something like that...)

The gravity would be used mostly to create "gravity Fields" either immobilizing others with it, rendering them impossible to move (or at least very hard and sluggish), OK... It can be used to crush someone under their own weight too, but something that i wont do is creatina Black holes... (Its totally possible, but its ridiculous...). The time shift thing has a good potential. Mainly i would use to turned someone's Actions and perceptivo of the world nearby into slow motion or fast forward, compressing the time around them. And thats basically it. Well, i can "stop" the time in a bubble too, but its not something i would do or abuse. This particular ability doesnt have any offensive potential.

But i think i made my point very clear.
Gravity, time... All those Powers Will be used mainly as defensive measures.
You should be worried about the only thing that can actually hurt you: the freaking thorn dices moving around, shredding and punching holes at things.

But well... If things start to get crazy near Shai, she can use her powers to be crazy too...

Think of it like the cold war. If you send your nukes ill send mine too.

And well... Paralyzing everyone in the forest by Poison, letting you bem able to basically murder everyone without much problems (and they cant do anything about it bcos they cant smell or feeling the Poison) is a kinda... Extreme approach, isnt it?

Well, the Node thing is actually very strategic for either side.

The Hunters would benefit of having someone that is able to make the Witches less powerfull, and the Witches would benefit of the exact opposite.

Idk about you, but i dont feel like Shai is overpowered at all.

I said that it is possible to do some pretty crazy shit, but i will always control the amount of Power i use with Shai. Example: i wont create gravity Wells able to crush EVERY living thing, Black goles or use time shift to instante rot someone's body to death ir any craY thing

Put an Arrow to her head and she is Dead. If a witch managed to sneak near her by surprise, taking advantage of the stronger Magic, she is Dead.

Also, it would be very interesting to everyone (or at least every witch) to note and remember the fact that you WILL clearly feel your Powers stronger and an endless supply of mana when near Shai (the range is quite big... So it would easily affect the entire forest)

I can do some pretty crazy shit with Shai's Power too, but some of them would be very overpowered, só i tend to limit my use of her powers.

Come on... Controlling gravity and compressing time? That can get very messy very quickly

@Noxx do you think so? I Just said that EVERY eitch has her Magic amplified Just by being near to her!

If anything, your Magic would be only 50% weaker If Shai does it, but If she doesnt, Witches Magic are eay stronger.

Just think about having an endless suply of mana, not getting tired with multiple conjurstions, more powerfull Magic...

@Noxx about the shockwave, its not affecting you Directly, but rather the disribuition of mana on that place.

Shai is a walking Arcane Node. Think of it as If you were drinking water and someone half way closed the central water registry.
It wouldnt cut out the water completely, but it would take much longer for you to satisfy your thirst. This affected Every Magic user nearby (ir até least Who is using "her" Arcane Node.
Its worth boring that EVERY Magic user has their powers heightened when using her Magic Node. She cant fully control Who access it and Who doesnt, and cutting someone's ability to access the Arcane Network is a lenghty process that can take hours and even days, requiring physical contact, but limito g everyone's access to it isnt something very hard to do.

Its important to think about that as well. Remember that the fact that you are accessing Directly an arcane Node means that its easier for the Arcane energy to reach you, making your Magic stronger. Thats the reason why many Witches want to apture her and use her and Hunters want her Dead.

1- i actually read all posts. I Just enjoy Reading them anyways bcos they are funny ^^

2- well, i actually planned to use this ability not always. As i said, "Reading the stars". This usually gives the idea of long term divination. Not seeing the close future, but the medium to far away future. That would explain why people search for her.

The tarot cards can reveal informativo too, but only the "close future" (If that makes any sense). They would basically offer some degree of information, but not much. Think of them as providing only "Additional information", heightened situation awareness (basically the Power to read other posts. Wooo~ scary).
Drawbacks for the long term (and far more detailed) divination would be a long preparation time, depends on the Weather (for obvious reasons... That May also be a way to the GM to restrains/allow this ability only on certain circunstances) and she would be defenseless. Using her star globe to observe the stars. She would basically sit down and enter a "meditation" where she can ser all the stars and read them accurately. It would take time and she would be defenseless while doing so.

For the short term divination it would be the level of the detail she can get out of it. Basically you chose one sentence from another post (or a few key information). I know about the Poison mist, but i dont know her location, nor her powers or about the snakes.

About the future... That is a very tricky question. I do think that free Will is very good, but maybe it would be interesting to have like a mix of Both. You have a destiny to be fulfilled, but you have a degree of free Will as well.

For example: the fate requires you to take the hobbits to Isengard, but you can chose how you will do it, or if you will Just say "fuck it" to the hobbits and ler them stay at their houses mindinho their own business (but If you do, you would certain face the consequences of tour acts)

Nope. The field only limits the área where her time shift ability is currently affecting. Basically a "Poison free" zone. But anyone can walking in If they want

There are in fact a protective barrier (the tarot cards) spinning around her and the thorn dices are pretty much cuting and punching holes into nearby leaves/branches/trees. But they are only surrounding her and Celia. Not a very big radius.
Purely defensive Abilities too. Well, the dices are more of an... Active defense buuuut...
