Current You know you're getting old when you start getting excited after discovering a new cleaning product that makes it SO, SO MUCH easier to clean stains from the bathroom floor.

I've just realized that in all the 9 years I've been part of this site, I've never had to change my name, make an alt account or anything like that!

"Humanity takes great pride in three things. Their willpower, their greed and their mortality.

Their will and endless greed allows them to grow and ascend past other creatures
But their mortality denies them divinity

It's a delightful purgatory between being Fallen and being Divine"

One Night in Hell Club, Bar area.

Day 1 (Arc 2): Around 7pm

The club was one hell of a change compared to the atmosphere Corinna was used to, two completely different worlds... While her mansion was built with a very eye catching gothic architecture and decorated in early Victorian style, giving it a classical and antique feeling, the club area was an entirely different world... Neon and strobe lights, the thin, sweet scented smoke, the music... It was highly unlikely, almost impossible to think that the woman who lived in such mansion enjoyed that kind of place, and yet, there she was, dancing and moving her body together with the music.

Truth be told, it took a bit for her to get used to the atmosphere, but once Lily started singing and she started dancing, it was pretty quick. Maybe it was the almost intoxicating mix of smells... Sweat, alcohol, smoke... But once she stopped dancing, she was ready to explore the rest of the club. Surely she would find something interesting to do... Maybe get something to drink... She heard that they had some very good drinks.

The second she got into the bar area, she smiled.

"Now, this is something much more familiar..." she whispered to herself as she walked towards the counter. The bar had a completely different atmosphere from the club part. Something much more... familiar to her.

Leaning herself in the counter, she looked to the barman with a mischievous smile.
"Such a wonderful night, don't you agree?" She asked, gently resting her hands on the counter, making an noticeable sound when her sharp fingers touched the counter.

With the change of atmosphere, her personality seemed to change as well. Despite the red dress that showed quite a bit of skin, her attitude and the way she walked and talked were more noble and formal. While certainly not as flirty as she was on the club, it wasn't as formal as she normally is when walking around the city.

"It's my first time in a nightclub and I must say... I've never danced so much in my life!" Corinna continued, with a sweet giggle.

"Would you have something to help me quench my thirst?" Corinna asked, licking her lips in a suggestive manner.
Was going to write my post right now, but I think I should wait for Ars and Eilidh

(Ars since Kyun said he would try to post tomorrow, Eilidh bcos I am thinking about ending the conversation with Lord Barensia on Bast's next post. Then... well... things will get a bit hot...

PS @PaulHaynek: Not going to lie... I think Haley and Freyr are perfect together! lol

Aaand Bast will certainly be even more interested on Eilidh if he sees her fighting... ;-D

Mine? B-But it's already there...

PS: I thought in writing something different for Anya, something along the lines of her scouting a location, planting the Third Eyes and preparing herself for her mission, but I thought it would be best to talk a bit about Anya herself on this first post.

Idk if its good X_X lol
Sorry everyone...

Writer's block. X_X
Although its small, its something XD

And I'm still adapting to Anya's personality.
Anya Belyakova

"Argh! Dammit!" Anya cursed, immediately dropping the tools and the small device she was messing with in the workbench in front of her, which was replete with weapon parts, ammunition, tools and electronic parts, as a powerful wave of interference sent a sharp wave of pain through her head.
Upon hitting the table, the small device started spinning, standing up and emitting a very, very faint glow. Anya was still recovering herself when she realized that the device was functioning again.

"Of course... Tricked once more... I'm going to have a talk with someone regarding selling me low quality circuit boards..." Anya said with an annoyed tone, stepping into the device, smashing it into a thousand little pieces.

"Ugh... I need a bath..." She said to herself, wiping her forehead with a towel, that by now was soaked with her sweat as she walked to the other side of the flat, leaving the small metal bits on the ground, near the workbench, on which a sniper rifle was carefully resting on.

The flat was... incredibly fitting with Anya's personality... Weapon parts, SMGs, ammunition, circuit boards, tools and tactical gear side by side with gaming devices, cute pillows in form of animals decorating the sofa and other things a normal teenager would have. It was almost like there were two different people living there. While the two sides of the flat were incredibly different from one another, the line separating them was hazy and almost nonexistent. Almost like if they were slowly, but surely fusing with one another.

The last weeks were unusually calm for Anya... While she didn't have that much problem with money, as her last job earned her quite a hefty amount, she didn't enjoy that much how boring things were. She wondered what happened for things to be so calm... Usually, there was always a job for her, bodyguard jobs, 'cleaning' jobs and even espionage... But without any mission, her routine basically resumed itself in waking up before the sun came up, training, cleaning and checking her rifle and Third Eyes, taking a bath and after that, playing games the entire day or listening to music. Even though she knew that she shouldn't attract that much attention to herself, she was getting sick of doing nothing all day...

Luckily, she had overheard some teenagers talking about a rave that would happen that night on a pretty famous club that evening, which she would obviously attend to. The clothes she had selected the previous evening were already on her bed: a pair of black boots with small metal decorations together with a cute gothic style mini dress, and of course, her SMG. If she could, she certainly would take her rifle with her, which she took care almost like if it was a part of her body, but it was obviously not an option...

At least some of her common sense still worked. Minus the homicidal tendencies, of course...
Will have mine done tomorrow! Promise! XD

Bast Ragoczy

Lord Barensia's reaction when he mentioned Joshua's name surprised him. Bast had no idea that he was such an influential person. The king of Varjo and a close ally to the order. The same order that was rather infamous for their... extremism about demi-humans, or monsters, as they call them. Lord Barensia's description about Joshua was brief, but it was also impactful. Joshua and his sister are probably the same as Araghast, hence why that brutish man spoke so highly of him, nothing but warlords. Gold, silver, blood and death ran through their veins.

"That is certainly interesting. I am very grateful for the information." Bast replied to Lord Barensia, with a sly expression.

"Regarding Lord Araghast, he is a warlord under Joshua's command. Quite a brutish and uncivilized person, if you ask me. He was the one responsible for the massacre at Boreal Port." Bast continued with a quick wave of his hand, dismissing both the massacre and the warlord as unimportant.

"Just monsters... huh?" Bast repeated as he heard Lord Barensia's words. Eilidh's question soon after he said that left obvious that she was a bit annoyed by his answer as well. Bast didn't have enough information about him to tell that without a doubt, but Lord Barensia looked like one of those people who thought that demi-humans were just monsters, nothing more than beasts, inferior. If that was the case, then surely it wouldn't be interesting to have that tension on the air, especially after how Eilidh reacted to that. The way Bast held Eilidh's hand weren't just to embarrass her or flirt with her. It was almost as if Bast was saying to change topics.

"I just asked because there are some people who have a very... extreme opinion about demi-humans, you see? So I was worried that I could have offended you in some way by bringing my dear Eilidh, to our conversation." Bast said, with an amicable expression, and gently holding Eilidh's hand and raising it a little bit, as in if he was presenting her to the man.

"Which, by the way, is absolutely adorable when embarrassed." Bast said, with a chuckle, after turning back to Lord Barensia.

"Now, to answer your questions..." Bast said, looking to the man.

"My name is Bast. Who am I is a question that many people ask, and to each one of them I give a different answer. None of them are lies, but none of them are the entire truth. I have many faces, Mr. Barensia. Many personalities, many names... Secrets are everything I am, Lord Barensia." Bast said, with a neutral expression, showing absolutely no emotion.

"Both me and Eilidh are from the guild. A very interesting bunch if you ask me. As for what I want with the Barensia, I didn't lie when I sent you that invitation, but it wasn't all the truth." Bast said, with a sly smile on his face.

"While i was really looking forward to just having a nice talk, knowing a bit more about the one responsible for designing your manor, I am also after information... I had quite an... interesting encounter with Lord Araghast. Obviously, it wasn't that tranquil. After all he is a warlord... Despite the obvious difficulty to have a decent conversation with such a brutish man, he did mention Lord Joshua, and he did mention that we are a bit... similar... in some ways... For personal reasons, I am quite interested in both of them. Because of that, I'm investigating a bit about them." Bast said, with a serious expression.

"Why would I go to the Barensia even with so many people on this town, you ask? Well... I'm no stranger to nobility, and I know how things work... Those with power and influence are very well informed about the workings of a city and a country. And let me ask you a small question: How does one attain power and influence?" Bast asked, giving a small pause to finish his tea.

"The answer is money." Bast concluded, looking to Lord Barensia, expecting him to understand where he was going with that statement.
