When Serix started speaking his vows to her, a bright smile came to Cassie's face. All he was saying so so sweet and the look in his eyes when he said them to her was so pure and truthful. Everything he was saying, he meant it to her and that left her heart pounding with joy. She really felt like the luckiest girl in the galaxy. When he was done and smiled so bashfully at her, she laughed softly and nuzzled her own forehead against his before kissing his lips gently, "That was fabulous Serix. I don't think you could have said any of that any better." Pulling back slightly, she looked up into his violet eyes, holding her hands tightly in his, "I guess its my turn now, huh?" She looked up a moment in thought and a moment later looked back to him, lightly resting her forehead against his again as she looked into his purple eyes, speaking softly, "I vow to take you as my husband. To keep us safe and do what is best for both of us. I vow to love you every day, for the rest of eternity. I will be there to stand beside you through all and any problems we face." She smiled at him more and continued, "No one in this galaxy will come before you. You will always come first and your needs and wants will be the most important to me. I vow to be with you in sickness or health, hiding or free, and anything else that we may have to push our way through. Most importantly though," She leaned up, kissing him again with the same passion she had when he had kissed her after their dance, "I vow to always love you with every fiber of my being. Nothing will ever change that." Smiling still, she looked to him and thought for another moment before letting her eyes meet his, "I think we went through everything didn't we? I mean we can't exactly have a reception or anything with a third party. So, I guess the only thing to do now is to kiss the bride Serix." She said playfully, wrapping her arms around his neck, a grin on her face.
Cassie had to admit, the kind of dancing he was having her do was kind of tricky with the roped cloth connecting them. She could have easily gotten tangled up or something of the sort if it had not been him but someone else leading her. But, it was indeed him leading her and so sh was able to somehow keep steady and stay on pace with him, given he would give her a nudge here or there to keep her on track. She smiled slightly and would have smiled more if not for her concentrating so hard on not making a fool of herself. Because of this when he commented on the dancing 'not being wrong'she was caught of guard and almost tripped, having to catch herself again, and ended up laughing as they danced along. When she had stopped laughig and was back in pace with him, she giggled a little more and smiled up at him, shaking her head, "No, its not wrong at all Serix. What I said before about it being 'wrong' was just a human type joke coming to my mind thats all." She explained. She allowed herself to be spun again once more and when she was pulled back into his warm embrace, wasn't really surprised when he kissed her. This was just like it had been the first time they had danced together, only this time he didn't pull back almost immediately, letting her have a chance to respond by kissing him back and wrapping her arms around his neck. And when they did finally pull from the kiss, they stay that close to each other, his forehead resting against her own. She ginned at his comment and shrugged, "Guess I just have a natural charm over Lunarian men?" With that she nuzzled her head against his playfully, laughing, "Surely all of the dances during the ceremonies don't end like this, but I don't care. I like this. A lot." She looked up at him from under her long lashes, her blue eyes bright with happiness, "And next?...how about our vows? I mean, I know most people take a lot of time to prepare theirs, but to come up with them on the spot? You have to admit that would be interesting." She teased lightly, running a hand through his dark hair, enjoying just being close to him while she could.
Venelopi really wasn't sure just what to make of this man He seemed genuinely regretful for all that had happened when they had been together and just being here seemed to make him just as uncomfortable about it as she was. She glanced up at him and he was shifting his weight uncomfortable, hesitating with what came out of his mouth next, and it was something that, after last night, she really didn't want to hear, “Have you ever considered… running away?” Just those words and the prospect of what he was saying, mixed with the harsh memories of the events that took place the night before, was enough to send a wave of absolute terror into the poor girl. At his question, she began to quickly and frantically shake her head, "No...we can't...I can't..." Finally stopping her head shaking she looked back to him, "They won't let us. If we try...they'll....Rose-she.....she tried....they'll do to us what they did to her.....maybe even worse. We can't run away...I can't run away." Wrapping her arms around herself she moved to sit more comfortably on the bed wrapping the blanket in a comforting way around herself, "Running away isn't something we can do and still hope to get home." She grew quiet again, in thought for a moment before she looked back to him once more where he sat against the door, her voice hesitant, "How...did you find out about what was going on here? Don't you know the Yakuza could have both of our heads if they caught you talking like this with me?"
Cassie wanted to laugh at her remark that had gone over his head. She had to continue to remind herself that human and Lunairan people were different and so of course he wouldn't get why she said it sounded 'wrong'. She continued to watch as he tore the white cloth in half and was indeed glad that the cloth hadn't been of anything important. If it had been, well, it would be too late to stop him from ripping it now. She stood beside him as he twisted the cloth until it was a rope like material and then allowed herself to be willingly tied to him. She waited until he was situated as well with his wrist tied as well and then she smiled at him, nodding her head, "As ready as I'll ever be." And then, when he turned on the music, she followed his lead, moving about with him, attempting to not trip over the cloth, which was actually more difficult than she thought. At one point she even tripped, having to clutch onto him to keep from falling, "Well, once again we see I'm not the most graceful person, huh? Reminds me of how I first met you. Falling off the top shelf of that store." She joked and stood up straight and started to dance with him again. She smiled slightly as they went though. Despite how difficult it was, it was something special to do this tradition with him. It made her feel like they were at least in part keeping their cultures alive. If this was how wonderful their life together was going to start, than she was sure the rest of their lives was going to be something grand. She was sure by now, that no matter what anyone might say about humans and Lunairans being born enemies, that she and Serix had just always been meant for each other. Its why she was alive and why he hadn't been mated to any other female from his home. This was always meant to happen and she was more than happy to accept this fate. As they danced, she looked to him with her blue eyes, a bright smile playing on her lips, "How am I doing, Serix? Am I a complete fool or am I at least decent at this?"
Venelopi listened to him speak, her mind wandering at all that was happening here. This young man, who had come to her last night and paid(or someone paid for him) to sleep with her. And yet here he was apologizing for all he had done to her last night? What had given him the change of heart? Why was he apologizing now? She was very confused and still didn't quite understand all that was happening. Had this young man not known what all the girls in this place were? Well, she supposed that didn't surprise her. What men did know about where all the girls had come from and why they were here? Not a lot probably. So, what had made the man suspicious? And how had this young man stubble across the news that all the girls in this were Natashas? More so, why did he even care? After all ,this wasn't affecting his life directly. After being all so many heartless men these past three months, it was hard for Nelli to believe that anyone in this whole country would even so much as feel any sort of emotions or have and empathy for the girls that were trapped in this horrible life style. And yet, here was a young man that seemed to be feeling just that. She was quiet a long moment after he finished, sitting there on the bed, her curly blond hair hanging in her face and acting as a curtain between the two o them as she looked down in thought, avoiding his gaze as she did, though that didn't really matter much considering he was avoiding her gaze just as much as she was avoiding his. Taking a deep breath, Nelli slowly looked back up at him, an unsure and cautious look on her face now, "I'm.....very confused.....why....why do you even care what happens to someone like me? I mean....I'm just...." A tool. An object. A worthless human. So many horrible terms that had been branded into her mind by the men that had abused and used her. Terms that after so long of hearing them she thought of as truth, "...just....bad."
“I like those ideas,”Serix moved to sit back and Cassie herself moved to sit down in front of him, the smile never coming off of her face as he spoke, “If you’d like, I can teach you how to dance with the rope tying our hands. You have to follow a special technique because it’s easy to get tangled up.” She ginned back at him when he smirked at her teasingly.“I’ve been to many ceremonies where the couple gets ensnared by their own rope. It takes a lot of talent to do it right. Do you think you can handle it?” "Well," Cassie began, the grin still on her face, "It was my dancing that made you first kiss me. I assume I'd have to be pretty good at it for it to do that. So, yes, I am quite sure I could handle it with a little lesson from you of course." Smiling again, she took his hand and began pulling him up from where he sat, the smile coming back to her face, "Come on, Serix. You can teach me now. Lets go find something to tie our hands up with." She laughed at that, shaking her head as she pulled him along, "That sounds so wrong." Pulling him to the Robot Hanger, she began searching through some of the materials she had there, throwing wires and such to the side, until she pulled out an old white cloth, turning to smile at him, "Here we go. You tie it since I'm not sure if you people tie it in a certain way." Handing it to him, she held up her right hand, placing it against his own hand, waiting for him to do so.
It was about ten minutes that passed as she sat there alone in the room. So many thoughts went through her head. Mainly of the events from that morning. Poor Rosa. She hadn't asked for any of this. None of them that were there had asked for any of this. Most of them had lives and families back in their home land(well Nelli didn't, but the others sure did). One of them, the African, even had a husband and child back home. They had so easily killed Rosa for attempting to escape, and that meant for sure that if any of them tried to escape as well, they would surely meet the same fate. Or even worse. After all, yes they had raped Rose and shot her in the head, but Rosa had no warnings. he four of them that were left did. If they tried to escape what was stopping those men from making it slow for the other girls due to them already having warned them. They would be sure to make their deaths slow and suffering. The thought of it made her shiver. She really was never getting out of this nightmare, was she? The only escape she supposed would be the death that might come from an escape attempt. That was a thought, but then again, a deep fear was still rooted in her and there was no way she was going to try that. Not at this point in time and not so soon after the death of one of the other girls. She heard the door knob click and looked up, a little confused to see the young man from the night before standing there in the door way. Now what was he doing back here? Last night was something not too surprising. He had been drunk and probably stumbled his way here. But tonight? What was his reason? Why come here and pay a good sum when he could have, thanks to his looks, any girl he laid eyes on? She watched him with her blue eyes as he closed the door and then, in turning to her, he did something she definitely had not been expecting. When a very regretful expression, the young man bowed to her and apologized in very clear English. She blinked in surprised, a confused and slightly worried look on her face. What was going on? Had her owner sent him in to test her? Was this young man about to do something horrible to her and that was why he was apologizing? She didn't understand the situation happening and it scared her. She stared at him worriedly and fearfully for a long moment before she finally swallowed and spoke, "S-sorry? For....for what?"
Cassie shook her head, smiling at him when he asked her if she minded leaving out the part of the ceremonies that a third party might be involved with, "I don't mind. If I did then we would have no wedding at all." She looked at him curiously, that smile still on her face as he pulled away from her, wondering what int he would he was doing. Then, much to her surprise, he got down on one knee to ask her officially if she would marry him. This made her laugh with joy as she nodded her head, "Yes, Serix. I will marry you." She laughed again and while he was still on one knee, she leaned forward to kiss his lips. This was so surreal. She didn't think things like this could still happen with her. She thought with the humans dying out she would never have a chance of having someone get down on one knee and ask her to marry him. And even if there had been one or two male humans left? What woudl be the chances she would have fallen in love with him like she had Serix? Very slim. She felt like the luckiest woman in the world. Pulling back she smiled at him, "So, now that we are officially engaged, what else should we do? I was thinking since both of our cultures include a dance we should put a dance somewhere in there. And some sort of vows as well. Other than that, I'm up for anything you throw out Serix." She kissed him again, "As long as it means we're together forever at the end of all this, I'm up for anything and everything."
He's a hottie :3
Cassie listened very closely to all that he had to say. A lot of what he said made sense in terms of his people. They had so few of them left that of course becoming mates with someone was pushed so much, and even more so having children with said mates. That brought her mind to other things. Were she and Serix going to have children? If not after their marriage, later? Would it be okay for them to have children living in hiding as they were? Cassie would have loved to live life as if things were normal, and to have kids of her own someday. But, would it me safe, if not for them, for the children? She wasn't sure what to think about all this in question, but there was always plenty of time in the future to discuss those possibilities with Serix. When he was done speaking of all the different traditions, she smiled, "Those are really good traditions. In fact, some of them are similar to human traditions." She sat back, thinking a moment, "I only went to one wedding when I was a child, and I've seen a few pictures and read some books that involved weddings, so I can tell what I can remember at the least." She brushed her hair back and moved to snuggle up against him as they sat there, "In human society, weddings weren't really something important necessarily, but it was something we all wanted. It was mainly a symbol of two humans' love for one another, rather than keeping our species going. There were people who even went their whole live without getting married because they didn't find someone they loved." Sh shrugged and continued, "The two humans would start off with dating. Humans were more open to physical relationships than your people are and so things like holding hands, kissing, and other things were considered to be normal as well. It was considered romantic and the way of wooing a female. They would date for anywhere from months to years until finally the male would ask the female to marry her. He would get down on on knee and essentially say 'will you marry me?' Most of the time the female would say yes, and unfortunately sometimes she would say no. Getting married wasn't something meant to be forced, but something that was just natural between two people." She smiled at him, thinking how it was like that with them. So natural. "If she said yes, he would put an engagement ring on her finger and the two would plan the wedding. This usually took a few months to a year. The families and friends of the bride and groom were invited and close friends and immediate family members woudl even participate in the wedding as well. The woman would have her close friends stand next to her as bride's maids and the groom would have his close friends stand next to him as grooms men. They are just basically there for support as typically the big decision to marry someone was nerve wrecking for both the bride and groom." She laughed at that thought. Surely she wouldn't be like that when she and Serix got married, "Well, at the beginning of the ceremony, all the guests are seated and the groom stands at the end of a aisle with a priest or pastor, a religious figure in human society who will run the ceremony, and they wait for the bride. The bride is supposed to look beautiful. Absolutely stunning. She wear make up, and wears a gorgeous white wedding dress. She's walked down the aisle by her father and her father gives her over to the husband. The pastor will say a few words, go through some passages, and then, if they want, the couple can tell each other their own personal vows before the official vow given by the pastor. It was always the same. For instance if it was us getting married he would ask you , 'Do you take Castiel to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poor, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do you part?' and you would say 'I do'. Then he would ask me the same them and I would say 'I do'. After that, he would say, 'Then by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you man and wife. You may now kiss the bride.' We would share our first kiss as a married couple in front of everyone. Then after words, the couple has a big party called a reception. Everyone comes and first the couple has their first dance together by themselves while everyone watches. Then there is the wedding cake, dancing, games, food, speeches. It's just a really fun experience." She smiled and continued "After everyone has their fun and its time to end the reception, the newly weds leave and go someone special for their honeymoon where they have, as you put it, some privacy. The honeymoon is usually somewhere fun too, so they can go on trips and explore new places and enjoy their time together as newly weds for a while." She looked up to him, "Some things were the same in our two people's ways. But a lot of things were different. What should we keep for our wedding you think?"
