Anna looked at him when he said whenever she was ready. So, they were doing this thing today then? He really was rushing to get this done. But then again, why should they wait? There really was no reason too. The sooner they got this whole thing over with the better. She just hoped that in the end all of this worked out for everyone. Nodding and taking a deep breath, she stood up, "Well then, let's get to this. The longer we wait, the worse the anticipation will be." With that, she began walking along side him, toward the manor. Needless to say, she was nervous. She had never don any sort of acting before. What if she did or said something wrong? What if she got in huge trouble for this? There were so many things that could go horribly in a situation like this. But then, who was to say things couldn't go right? Maybe h woudl believe she was his sister. Maybe she was his sister. Ha! She almost laughed at that thought. She was so nervous about all this she was getting ahead of herself. She was no princess. She was just a girl who had some streaks of bad luck in her life. And now she was trying to turn that around. Shaking her head to bring herself back to reality, they slowly made their way to the mansion, when she spoke to him, "Soooo.....what exactly gave you the idea to do all this anyway? And what makes you so sure it will work?"
Cassie knew Serix didn't exactly want to bring her along. He was trying to protect her and keep her safe by attempting to leave her here, but she didn't want that. She didn't want to wait there alone until he got back. If he got back. It would be torturous. She wouldn't be able to stay there and would end up leaving the hideout just to go look for him anyway. So, this was the best thing for both of them. Two minds, two sets of eyes and ears, and two fighters were better than one. Together they could make it through whatever was waiting for them outside of this place. Alone; maybe they could have made it, but the chances would have been slim in her opinion. Which is why she wanted to go with him. She laughed softly as he ruffled her blond hair and nodded, "I'll be right back." She then rushed back to the bedroom and it didn't take long to grab everything she needed, which wasn't much. In fact, it was just two things; simply her own backpack to carry to put supplies in and two bottles of water for them to drink. It was summer after all, and knowing this area it might get hot. That is, if it didn't rain. With the weather, one didn't know and so it was always good to be prepared. After double checking and making sure she didn't need anything else, she smiled and nodded, heading back out into the hallway. Going over to where he sat, she smiled down at him, "Well, Serix. Come on. The sooner we leave, the sooner we can get back." Taking his hand and pulling him to his feet, she gave him another kiss before unlocking and heading out the door of the hideout, into the office building. Once she made sure the hideaway was locked up, she walked slowly with hi, creeping quickly and quickly through the building under they reached the door. Outside, it was easy to tel it was still dark out, too early even for the sun to be out yet. That woudl give them perfect cover. Looking back at him, she took his hand and squeezed it affectionately before letting go and making her way out of the office with him, into the outside world. It was scary to be out side after so long. Used to be, before the aliens came back, she woudl go out without having to worry about anything but wild animals. Now they were u against something more deadly and that was intelligent beings that knew how to move, fight, and track them down. They woudl have to be very careful. Moving along the walls of one of the building, she lead them along, making their way toward where she knew the store to be, trying to make this trip quickly and safely with hopes all this would go okay.
While listening to his plan, Anna sat down on the bench beside him, listening carefully to each word. It all sounded like.....well, like her own back story. How sh had been injured during the night of the riot, ending up in the hospital with amnesia. No one had come forth that they were missing a child and so, her identity continued to go unknown. The only thing she had of that past long forgotten was her necklace she wore at all times around her neck, though safely tucked under her shirt for fear of it breaking or it getting stolen by Mrs. Graven. And of course, insert the tragic back-story as he mentioned. After leaving the hospital she was thrown from foster home to foster home until the time she was eight when Mrs. Graven became her permanent foster parent, and that was only because the woman got payed more for putting up with her than she would other kids, considering her traumatic past. When she was younger she used to have horrible nightmares of the night the riot happened. Needless to say her waking up screaming had annoyed the other foster parents and had her send off to the next home pretty quickly. Mrs. Graven on the other hand would just shake her awake tell her to shut up, and then lock her in her room for the night. Her whole life was probably be a great story for them to tell to this prince, and it technically wouldn't be lying. If the prince wanted to look at her records to prove it than she could easily get those for him. That, if she had been really just a normal person with a normal family, would have ended their plan right there, but because that really was her past, it woudl work out fine. She looked up at him and nodded, "Sounds good. I don't really see any holes in it. A lot of things happened that night and a lot of people got hurt. In those crowds it wouldn't really be a surprise something like that would happen. Who knows how many kids ended up getting hurt, or even with amnesia?" Leaning back she looked out to the orange in the sky and spoke, "So, when does all this go down? When do we go up to the manor?"
Anna was up very early the next morning. If she wanted to sneak out of the house before Mrs Graven woke up and went to go for her again, she had to be up much before Six AM like she and this Devon had planned. So, at five in the morning sh was awake, throwing on a pair of jeans, a nice shirt, and jacket, getting ready to meet with this man she knew close to nothing about. She could only hope all of this turned out okay. Once she was dressed and her long blonde hair was brushed, she did the same maneuver as she had the night before, putting Pooka in her bag and climbing out of the window of the second floor using the lattis. This was normal for her. She did it almost very day when she wanted to get away from that evil woman that was her foster parent. She didn't go straight to the park where she and the man would meet. No, first she walked around with Pooka on his leash and enjoyed the crisp morning air. It was nice to get a fresh start at the day and the quiet really helped her to relax and enjoy the morning better than she would have trapped in that cramped and suffocating home of hers. She took a deep breath, a small smile coming to her lips as she went along, waiting it out until it was time to meet again with Devon. And when that time came, she walked slowly tot he park, taking her time, seeing that when she got there the young man was already waiting for her, sitting there and drinking coffee casually. She made her way over and looked down at where he sat, speaking to him, "So, what exactly is your plan for all this, Devon?" Once again, she was getting right to the point, not exactly the type of person to beat around the bush.
Cassie smiled, her cheeks a rosy red when he leaned forward having that grin on his face that she loved. She giggled softly when he said 'gladly' and then they were sharing their first kiss as husband and wife. She smiled under his lips, her own hands moving up to his dark curls as they kissed. When he opened that link, her suddenly feeling all his affection for her, a bright smile came to her face as they kissed. Then when they pulled back, she continued to smile at him and kissed his nose playfully, "Together forever Serix. Don't you ever forget it." ... The next few weeks for the two of them were fairly simple and routine. They would practice with her telepathic link (she could even talk to him when they were a few feet apart now!), he wold help her fix up the robots, practice some hand on hand combat, they would eat their meals together, go to sleep, and then do the same things again the next day. And thought these thing seemed kind of boring and repetitive, through out their time together thy were growing closer and closer. Cassie wasn't even sure what she might do if anything ever happened to Serix. He had become so much apart of her normal life now. She couldn't even think back to her lonely life of just her. It was fairly clear that being together was the best for her. For both of them. She sighed and rolled over as she layed there, curled up on their bed. They had nodded up pushed their two beds together to just make one large one, instead of sharing one of the smaller beds. Normally, when she woke up in the mornings, she would cuddle up close to him until he decided it was time for the two of them to wake up. Only, this time, when she reached her hand out sleepily to grasp for him, she felt nothing but empty sheets. this made hr sit up in a confused manner and after her eyes adjusted, it was easy to see he indeed wasn't there. Quickly throwing on a pair of her blue jean shorts and a tank top she rushed out of the bedroom, only to find him already dressed, a bag slung over his shoulder and, not having noticed her yet, heading toward the entrance of their hide away. With an annoyed look on her face, she rushed to catch him, hr hand going on his shoulder and turning him around, "Not so fast Serix. You and I are supposed to go out there together. I didn't tell you the location just for you to go off to there without me. We've discussed this already. Where ever you go, I go, remember?" he wrapped her arms around his middle, looking up at him, "We're a better team together. Not apart." Leaning on her tip toes, she kissed him, "Now, you are going to wait here until I'm ready and then we can go? Got it?"
XD It really isn't. And I've been busy too with school so that doesn't help. Posted again. Feel free to time skip to when they meet if you want. If not, then I'll do the time skip in my next post.
Anna looked at him a moment, unsure on whether or not she should take the number. Would that be encouraging him that she would be thinking about it when she really wasn't? Maybe. But it was only polite and what harm would it be? Reaching out,s he took the slip of paper he held out to her and nodded, "Maybe. Have a good day." Was all sh said before simply walking away, Pooka at her side on the leash. It was getting dark by now and she really didn't want to go home yet. She just wanted to stay out for a little bit longer. Besides, she was on the good side of town where the streets stayed populated with shoppers day and night, so danger wasn't much of an issue. She stayed out for a couple more hours, browsing and just taking in the night air before she finally decided it was about time to head home once again. Coming up to the side of the house, she did essentially what she had done when sneaking out, putting Pooka into her bag and climbing up the lattis to the bedroom. Only, when she was there, in came, much to her despise, Mrs. Graven, looking a mix between angry and expectant, like she had been looking out of the house waiting for her to get back just so she could catch her sneaking back in. "Ha! I knew you were going to sneak out you little bitch!" Anna yelped as the woman suddenly grabbed her by the arm, jerking her into the window. Pooka, yelping as well as her bag fell to the floor, scurried from the bag and hid under the bed, "Children like you are the lowest!" Using her arm, she jerked the girl again, this time so she fill to the floor, "Disobedient retches like you will never go anywhere in life! Just for leaving like that, I'm going to teach you a lesson. You are not going to that interview." Sitting up, her eyes wide, Anna shook her head, "You can't do that! That's my interview for the scholarship to Chancery University!" "I can and I will! Maybe that will teach you to obey people who are better than you!" With that the woman left and Anna could feel her frustration and anger boil, "It's not right.....it's just not...." Standing and moving to her bed, she sat down and Pooka came up, crawling into her lap, "I've worked so hard for this. I've been wanting to go to this university for years. I've done everything right....she can't just tell me I can't...." Looking down at the dog in thought, she could almost feel that phone number burning a hole in her pocket it was so tempting. Taking it out, she stared at it for a long time. It would be lying to take on the role of this man's sister. But, maybe it was like that man, Devon, had said. Maybe it would be good for the prince to think he had found his sister. It would put him at peace. Besides, if she did do this, it wouldn't be like she would be stealing his money. No, she could take care of herself once she got into college. She just needed the freedom to go the college she wanted and she sure couldn't do that here without a fight. That and....maybe this wold be good for her too. Anna herself had never known a real family as far as she could remember. And this boy was missing his only living family member. Together they could have the family they wanted. It was a win-win. Taking a deep breath, she pulled her phone from her pocket and dialed the number, waiting until he answered, "Devon? Its Anna. I'm...willing to give this a shot. When and where could we meet?"
As much as he said he didn't think they were going to get in trouble, Nelli couldn't exactly be so sure. The Yakuza were conniving and she had a feeling that, even if hey didn't find out right now, they woudl find out some time later on that this young man was talking to her in such a way. Then things wouldn't turn out good for either of them. She would end up either badly wounded or dead, and he would surely end up dead for, in their terms, 'sticking his nose where it doesn't belong'. She could only hope it didn't come to that, but so far hope had pretty much turned its back on her. Any time she hoped for something during her time here, it did her no good and always got her hurt. “My name is Hirose, Junichi… In case you were wondering.” Neli looked up at the sound of his voice again, drawing her away from her thoughts as he introduced himself to her, “What is your name? Ehr… you don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to. It’s not… a command, or anything.” She had to think on that for a moment. Should she really tell him her name? Was it safe to tell him? Well, the more she thought about it, the more she couldn't really see it hurting anything. After all, who would he tell? What would he do with such small information as a name Probably nothing. And that's why, after these small thoughts, she looked back to him and spoke quietly to this young man she now could know as Junichi Hirose, or, well, probably just Hirose right now as the Japanese tended to go by their last names, "My name is Venelopi Stryder." She went quiet a moment again, looking down at her hands for a few second. She wasn't really sure what to say next. She had asked him so many questions already and it just felt like in most of them she was repeating herself over and over, trying to gain understanding of why he was even here. Why bother coming her to try and apologize to her? Why was he here trying to make it up to her? Why should he even care what was happening to her? Why? Why? Why? Sighing slightly to herself, raking a hand through her blond strands slightly, she turned her gaze back up to him. What did it matter why? This was just for a couple of hours. Just something to clear his conscious so he could go home and sleep at night without having to worry about the poor Natasha girl getting raped. H would forget about her just as quickly as people did with those sad animal commercials on tv. enough to piece a bleeding heart, but easily forgotten when the next distraction came around. Sitting back on the bed, she turned her gaze away from him again, looking to the clock. One hour gone, and one left. Then she would have to go back to work. "How did you feel? When you found out about all that was happening here?"
I had written and saved on a word doc apparently >_< I do that when Im on the road and don't have internet. I guess I forgot to put it on here when I was done. But its posted now.
Ah, so that's what this man was up to. He was just a scheming man looking for a quick buck. She should have known. No one was every that nice without a reason to gain something back. The world just didn't work like that. What kind of a girl did he take her for? Anna was a hard working kind of girl. She was very intelligent, the top person in the class in fact, soon to be valedictorian when she graduated in just a month or two. She would go on a free ride scholarship to the local university, living in a dorm all to herself without having to worry about foster homes or uncaring foster parents ever again. She was going to make something of herself and she didn't need to be some fake princess to live a carefree life. If she worked hard enough now, she wouldn't have to worry later on about financial issues. But apparently he thought otherwise. She took a slow sip of her drink, a passive look on her face as she listened to him finish up what he was saying. Then, setting her own glass down, she looked up to meet his eyes and spoke, "I'm not that kind of person. If you say I look like her, that's one thing. But to be a princess? To act like one? That is a completely different story. I can't do that. And I certainly am not about to trick some poor man into thinking I'm his sister. You'd have to be real low to want to do something like that." Standing up she shook her head, ready to walk off, "I won't do it. Find yourself another girl."
