I think she really wants to comfort Blood but what would she be able to really say or do. She was on the other side of all that. She left and he became very different. She never saw the change back and she never got to see who he has really become now yet. She can't say that she wasn't different after she left either.
This is why she is untrusting of Blood, worried about this truce and doesn't feel like she knows so little of him now. She knows he is against her and she knows what he was like during the war. She knows the gem he could be and she knows the gem he used to be

I love how Chromite though being mother like is still more serious and not really all that warm fuzzy feels on the subjects. Just very straight forward

Why!? Why you guys make my heart hurt and make me want to do hugs! >.< and the fact that this is Blood falling apart would just terrify the crap out of Aqua since she always views him as the strong one plus would have thought he had things to say and would fall apart alone.
