as much as I'd love to pre-plan RPs, I've also noticed that's the fast track to killing them. A little planning and a rough gist is fine, but anything beyond that and people don't wanna write no more.

Ah. Well, I can see that your two builds have a vast amount of difference in search power. He's got stuff like Krebons and Emergency teleport, alongside RotA at 3. This makes his more consistent, but you can't replicate it because of the banlist.

You also tend to have a bit more brick. Stuff like the brilliant fusion engine and the overwhelming amount of non-instant fusion-fusion cards can really bog you down.

...Maybe replace the Krebons with a resonator engine? Red Resonator is a thing now, so if you could switch it up with Resonator call you might be able to go off of that. Or does that not work in this deck?

I also question why garnet is at 2 instead of 1. Just seems like the odd choice out.

Maybe you could drop a terrortop or unspeakable trapezohydron for dreamland? Seem to recall you mentioning you wanted it.

...Huh, you're not running the solitary upstart goblin. You really need a 40 card deck for this to work?

I'm not too good with combo decks, so I can't give you much more than that to work with I'm afraid.

Infernoids are pretty xenophobic. I'd be more surprised if you said you got a non-pure build to work more consistently than a pure build.

None of those float, though. Having big dumb monsters is fine, but being able to constantly summon them off their own effects while getting +1's off of their second effects (popping, summoning more stuff) and having a good chunk of 3rd party support behind them is not.

Quantals are a combo deck focused on one, big fuck-off monster.

Kaiju is two big monster facing off in Tokyo central.

Sub-Terrors is setting big monsters, then hoping the opponent doesn't have removal.

Cubics rely on like, two monsters to be good (Vijam and the purple cube thing)

Just saying this for clarity's sake: That's not lacking a hilt, that just doesn't have a guard. The hilt's the handle by which the blade is held.
