Current you know, my SO never forces me to say a thing that's on my mind and doesn't mind if I don't always explain myself which makes it way easier to actually tell them stuff. boundaries good.

as much as I'd love to pre-plan RPs, I've also noticed that's the fast track to killing them. A little planning and a rough gist is fine, but anything beyond that and people don't wanna write no more.

@Ammokkx Actually, since the person that Horakhty SPECIAL Summons wins, it will become useless. Also, in my idea I was including win conditions of Effect Monsters as Effects as well.

Win conditions are not effects. You can not stop a win condition.

This is a basic rule.

The setup required for a win condition can be an effect that you can negate, but once the condition has been fulfilled it cannot be stopped.

EDIT: I do admit to being wrong about Horakthy, though.

Basicly a combination of:

and:

However, I purposely didn't the use 'negated', as that would suggest an effect is activated. Even passive effects of some cards will not work, like 'this monster can not be normal summoned', meaning they now can be tribute summoned but without their original effect.

On the other hand, since English is not my native language, if you guys know a better way to describe it, feel free to tell me.

That... flat out doesn't work. It's not a mechanic and would cause a ruling headache. Also it'd be broken, as you can now tribute 2, summon Horakthy and win the game (Win conditions are not effects and can not be stopped.)

I mean, if you really want me to give a shot at wording it:

Negate the activation and effect of all Level 5 or higher monsters. Both players can Normal or Special Summon Level 5 or higher monsters ignoring summoning conditions. Level 5 or higher monsters can not be Special Summoned via their own effect.

...but again, in both instances, you'd still get the 'Tribute summon Horakthy, win' situation.
I just don't want card design to go the way of the Don Thousand.
@Ammokkx
While I'm not the writer so I can't give a conclusive answer; I think it means to say negated.

I'm going to wait on an answer from Nightmare before saying anything conclusive.
@RaddumWrong. That references the last line of his effect: 'The effect of "Dusk, Shadow of the Night" can not be negated.'

Meanwhile, 'Ignore the effect of all level 5 or higher monsters' is still a thing and I don't know what that's supposed to mean
@NightmareInd Y'know, I kind of have a question about your Guardian.

What in the actual heck does 'Ignore the effect' mean? That's such a weird way to word things that I don't actually know what the card is supposed to do.
A bright, perfect day. Weather that any normal person would hail as good fortune, basking in the glorious sunlight and doing something fun with their friends. Not for Shinji, apparently, as he was leaning up against the wall in a dark alleyway. He'd just finished dueling some crook who hardly put up a fight, now writhing on the ground. A classic case of being all bark and no bite. Shinji was going to stay a while, until something new came up. He didn't need to move, so he wasn't going to.

Whether it be luck or quite the opposite, a message soon reached his phone. He took out his little device and swiped a few times, reading the new e-mail. It seems the escorts to the tournament were being sent out- first by car, then by boat. On cue, a car showed up on the street adjacent to the alley; black and sleek, a typical business car. However, Shinji wasn't going to play by the organizer's rules quite yet, as he was sure he could get there faster with his own vehicle, parked just behind the crook.

"Get up, or get run over."

Shinji's threat was short and sweet as he walked past the bandit, who got up and ran away in turn. The man put on his helmet, black and with a full-face vizor. He took a seat in a one-wheeled Duel Runner, coloured a deep scarlet with orange streaks. Despite being elongated with a tip at the front and only having one wheel, the runner did not fall over due to an auto-balancer inside the front of the machine. Shinji revved it up once, twice and a third time. That should have been enough of a warning for any passerby to get out of the way. In one powerful burst, Shinji launched himself out of the alleyway. He had his runner jump over the car and then turn while it was still in the air, coming down on the ground with a loud crash as his wheel spinned against the pavement. Before anyone could blink an eye, the man was already speeding off onto the road.

Even if Duel Chasers tried to catch him, Shinji's runner isn't the most legal thing in the world. It breaks just about every speed regulation on the planet, so it would be hard to catch up if he went full power. Perfect for someone who lived on the edge. He cruised along the road without a care, the e-mail told him where to head to anyway. He could get there on his own merits just fine.
I mean, I could post, but I'm going to wait on Garland to give confirmation as to whether or not that's the post's final form before I do.
Don't even want to put my newest found frustration into words.

It's the bitching thread, man. You can't get away with saying you're frustrated but not saying what about!

On the other hand, I do have a frustration to share:

Ffffacking player proactivity, or rather, the lack thereof. I can understand wanting to be along for the ride and letting the GM unfold their grandiose tale, but I don't really like it when people don't really get involved in any way besides waiting for someone else to do something and then following along. Even something as simple as going up to another player's character and talking to them would be nice, but no, these guys don't really do anything unless the GM or another player prods them >.>

It'd be nice if you got involved in some way rather than being luggage to carry around.
Oh, by the way, I'm sorry if people are annoyed by me assuming what their characters would do and auto-moving them. If there's ever any issue with what I write, do tell and I will promptly edit.
