~ Loki Laufeyson, off-beat tech analyst; crime solver

Loki Laufeyson is originally from San Gabriel, California and he speaks with an English accent. He himself has hinted that his family was from an upper middle class or wealthy background. Although friends and family told him that science was for geeks, Loki knew from a young age that he wanted to become a scientist. Although he was never good at sports, Loki was the captain of the high school chess team. Loki's overprotective mother refused to let him play sports in high school because he was her only child. At some stage, Loki moved in New York. He also used to bowl in high school and he also reveals that he once stole his Papa Olaf's car while he was taking a nap when he was 12, took it round the block twice and almost ran over his own foot when trying to reverse it back into the driveway. His father's side was from Harstad, Norway. His mother's side was from Oslo, Norway. Loki's family moved to California.

Loki is said to have been an extremely intelligent child prodigy. He attended a school for the gifted at both grammar and high school levels. He successfully earned his degree in chemistry at a University where he graduated. He had a wide variety of hobbies, including surfing, scuba diving, and numismatics (the study of money/coins and currency). However, he also contradicts his scientific training and believes in occultism, stating that one could have paranormal beliefs and also be a scientist.

Loki Laufeyson is portrayed as a cheerful and optimistic individual. He is often met with the disapproval of his supervisor, due to listening to loud music such as Marilyn Manson while running lab machines and hiding magazines in some area cabinets. He was initially the resident lab rat, only appearing occasionally. It was shown that Loki longed for a position out in the field, especially when he had several personnel injured or hospitalised. He failed his first proficiency test when he urinated in a toilet at a crime scene, but having spent several hours studying and assisting the CSIs, he eventually attained the rank of CSI Level One. As the lowest-ranking CSI, he is often given the more menial or unpleasant tasks, such as fishing for a liquefied body or diving in a dumpster. He initially rarely interviewed suspects. However, he later graduated to investigating crime scenes on his own.

Loki has been newly promoted to CSI Level 3, and during his time out into the field, he is shown to be kind natured and compassionate. He was originally portrayed as a girl-crazy geek with interesting hair and odd shirts. He would be seen dancing in his lab or in the hallways, or be seen conducting an invisible symphony. Eventually, Loki matured quite a bit, but without losing his wacky touch and still changes his hair occasionally. Loki has had moments of aggression while on the job. He would be seen yelling at someone, grab a camera from someone taking pictures, and physically stopping two workers with a wooden plank, much to Thor's amazement. Despite having been a CSI for six or seven years, Loki was the only one of the CSIs not seen carrying a gun whenever he went into the field. He would be rarely seen with one during the standoff or if there is one available.

Loki makes no secret of his crush on Ksenia. She sometimes reciprocates romantic feelings for Loki. However, when the relationship between her and her boss was revealed, Loki was not bitter about her dating, and he continues to flirt with her. Loki tells Thor that he was aware of their relationship. When Ksenia was suspended because of a quarrel with another CSI, Loki was the one who defended her.

Loki and co-worker, Thor Odinson, have remained brotherly with Thor affectionally calling him "Lo" sometimes. Thor does not look at Loki any differently now that he is a CSI. He has often encouraged Loki in the field, and has been seen giving Loki some of his first CSI experiences. The two remain very close friends.

~ Halle Berry, second in command; blood pattern expert

Halle was born in Cleveland, Ohio and is the newest Crime Scene Investigator and former colleague of Steve Rogers from Seattle. She is a blood spatter expert so good that Steve Rogers calls her a "blood whisperer". She was married twice, divorcing both husbands. Steve calls her "Berry," but she prefers to be called "Halle." Steve Rogers fired her after a case in Seattle where an investor was suspected of killing his own girlfriend and Halle failed to legally tie him to the murder. The case was dismissed when she turned out to have obtained a blood sample illegally by taking a used champagne glass from his home without a warrant. Afterwards, she and the Seattle police were both sued by the suspect. In spite of this, Halle and Steve are still good friends.

~ Steve Rogers, Leader

Steve was born in Sudbury, Boston but his parents were unknown. He didn't receive any formal education until college, but he is smart. He previously worked as a CSI in Washington until he came to Vegas as a Night Shift Supervisor, since Thor Odinson was demoted. According to the press releases, Rogers had previously headed a crime lab in Oregon. He is married and has children. Rogers has a more comedic side, but he is equally smart. He cares much about his team. He has saved their lives multiple times and he always keeps his team in order and in the loop by having what he calls 'family meetings'. Rogers is usually pretty laid back and he generally does not have strict rules about how things are run in the lab. He shows plenty of dedication to his job, even sacrificing family priorities at times.

In Las Vegas, forensic investigators are trained to solve crimes by examining the evidence. They are on the case 24/7, scouring the scene, collecting the evidence, and finding the missing pieces that will solve the mystery. Led by Steve Rogers, who has come to the team after heading the Seattle Crime Lab. His number two is Halle Berry, a CSI III and a blood pattern expert who previously worked with Steve in Seattle. She is a blood-spatter expert with extensive knowledge of criminal psychology. Halle supervises a team that includes Ksenia Solo, a former foster-child who was met at a conference in San Francisco. As the team's longest serving CSI, Ksenia often assists Loki Laufeyson, a once off-beat tech analyst and an experienced, intuitive crime solver. Loki is partners with Sally Brookes, a former Los Angeles criminalist. Assisting the team are tech Tony Stark, his colleague and rival, Tom Felton, who jointly works in the lab as both a toxicologist and DNA technician. Others include Dr. Carla Gugino, the ever-professional medical examiner, and Thor Odinson, who's been a tough, manly CSI for 15 years.

"Check In, Check Out"

Elderly couple, Richard and Anne Smith are found brutally murdered in room 114 at the Sky View Motel, each one stabbed more than 100 times. The investigators remember the specific motel room because they’ve been there twice: A man named Mark Bell, who was killed in the bed with his legs nearly severed from his body and that the police assumed the incident was drug-related. The other, Alex Garnez was attacked while sneaking a cigarette in the bathroom. He survived, but his wife, Tina, was violently bludgeoned to death in her sleep.

Evidence suggests that there was a third person in the room with the Smiths. Wondering if there might be a connection between the three cases, Tom Felton analyzes the bedspread from each scene. The substance on the sheets came from a male named Randall Wicks, who was arrested for sexual battery in the very same motel room. In an interview, Randall says he is a prostitute who used the room with his clients and that he defended himself after one of the women went crazy and attacked him. Sally Brookes visits Alex Garnez in the hospital and shows him Randall’s photo, but he says that Randall isn’t the man who attacked his wife.

The team eventually finds out that the Smiths helped a homeless man named Rudy by chasing off some guys who attacked him and that they gave him a place to shower and shave. According to Rudy's profile, he has a history of mental illness. After tracking down Rudy at a homeless shelter, they interrogate him, and he claims that his mind tells him to kill the couple. They ruled Rudy as their prime suspect for the other deaths as well, but after a week he is arrested, an officer responds to a call from the motel one night and finds a woman named Alison Stone covered in blood, brandishing a broken bottle, and talking non-stop as she was rambling things that don't make sense. He finds another dead body in room 114. Classifying the victim as one of Alison’s students named Matthew, it was found out that he had a crush on her and that he called her to the motel, hoping she would return his feelings. During an interogation, Alison insists that nothing was going to happen, until she claims that she has been “possessed” and killed him.

Realizing that the room itself is somehow responsible, Tony Stark and Tom Felton head into the motel room to test for substances that might cause the occupants to become violent. After a while, Stark is sprayed in the face with an air freshener in the bathroom, but he starts talking nonsense in the bathroom and he unknowingly attacks Tom just a few short minutes later. He survives after isolating Stark in the bathroom and calling for backup.

After they manage to take Stark to the hospital, Tom finds out that Stark tests positive for a drug called LSD, a drug that causes anxiety, paranoia, and delusional behavior. Loki and Thor go through the motel and they discover in the bathroom that the air freshener was connected to the next room over. They search through the room next door and they discover that there’s a surveillance camera in the closet. The resident claims that it wasn't him that was behind the murders. They then find out that the video from the surveillance footage transmits to the manager’s office. They get a search warrent to the manager, Trent Reager, to search the room and they find a whole corner of surveillance equipment watching all of the rooms in the motel. As they interrogate him, it is revealed that he is a voyeur, and he rigged up the LSD so he could watch how it affected the unsuspecting guests. It rules out that Mark Bell killed himself by stabbing his own legs, Alex Garnez attacked his wife, Alison killed her student, and that Rudy killed the Smiths.

"Bring him back!", Finn shouted at the guards who took their own horses and raced out of the palace. Racing after Loki and Diaval, the horse took off and began to race towards the enchanted forest of the Moors. Running through the valley and towards the forest, it looked darker than Loki remembered. The glow from the enchanted forest was gone and it looked as if the trees were dying. Without second thought, the horse fell into a mud pit, making Loki get launched from Diaval's back. It seems that the horse couldn't get himself out of it. Wildly neighing to Loki to just run and don't worry about him. Loki's survival was important and that the first priority was to keep him away from the queen's hands.

There was a horse nearby as it neighed to him. It was black with the feathery hair and tail. It was Diaval! He trotted to him before he nuzzled him, a sign to grab on.

Raeya opened the door as she looked older than she was years ago. "Do you ever have a normal day?", she asked him as she helped him on the bed.

Raeya nods in confirmation before she begins to walk away to her spot where she was before. "Heimdall", the rainbow of colors swept her up and off of the cold realm.

Finn groans in pain as he felt Loki kick him in the face and chest before he hears him run away after locking the cell door. "Don't let him escape!", he yelled to the guards. A pair of them ran after Loki as Loki managed to get outside. A couple of birds flew over Loki to a drain, signalling him to follow.
