The arrow made its mark, but it wasn't all perfect; just landing a few inches from the middle. The dark brown-haired boy didn't react, but he kept his neutral gaze upon the target where his arrow landed. It may not be perfect, but he was getting close. The evidence was just yards away. Looking down at the ground for a moment: it was his thinking face. He finally moved from his aiming spot, and placed the bow back on the rack, where the others were. Thinking of heading back to where he originally took sanctuary, he was stopping short when he noticed a figure in the distance of him. His eyes narrowed once again calmly in his gaze. It wasn't predatory, but curiousity in his eyes. Eric didn't want to scare the newcomer, plus the seemingly Raven-haired boy looked inches shorter than himself. Looking behind him for a minute to make sure no one was watching, he tilted his head a little bit to the side when his gaze returned. Taking a few cautious steps towards the strange boy before him, he didn't want to make it threatening.

"She chose them, because she felt the need to. She felt sentiment, Kili, and pity, for them. Promise or not, she wants us to move on to the mountain, since she knew it was important to us. She may regret breaking that promise now, but that doesn't mean she doesn't care", Fili was still pressing, but he knew that he had to just drop it, before his words become overwhelming for the youngest. "Fine, but don't come saying that you miss her", he finished before getting back to walking, ahead of Kili.

"To prevent further attacks. News of Smaug's death will spread, Mel. Darker minds will have opportunities to seize the mountain now", Legolas said it now. The point. "But if you want to stay, stay. Tauriel, come", he gestured to the she-elf before beginning to walk away.

Fili took a moment to look back behind them, where he looked at the burnt, obsolete harbor. "Well, that doesn't mean she would abandon us. She's an elf; it's in her nature to do what she believes is right. Both for us and the Lakepeople", he explained to his pouty little brother, hoping he would understand and not show anger towards the one, who truly cared for them. Plus, he obviously knew that Kili was emotionally closer to the she-elf than himself. "Give her some faith, little brother. Perhaps an apology", he finally managed to stop his brother from walking by laying a hand on his shoulder to make him look back to the eldest. "We wouldn't make it this far if it wasn't for her. She saved your life earlier for crying out loud! At least give her a chance. She didn't give us affection for nothing", Fili was explaining it to his brother, so he wouldn't have to spell it out for him.

Legolas was just about to answer his young cousin, when there was a commotion in the distance of them. "...let him go! Let him go!", the shouting voice of Bard was heard to Saeril's ears while she was tending to an injured child. This caught her attention quickly. Legolas looked back to Mel. "Somewhere that would explain why the Orcs are targeting Oakenshield", he finally managed to say.

Saeril was sure that Kili didn't answer her, so she let it go. Looking back to the townspeople, she felt an ache in her heart after separating herself from the twins. What she said earlier abut them being the light to her darkness, it was true, and she regretted to leaving Kili empty on her promise. But, she made this new promise, and it was going to stay true. On the morality, however, she felt deep conflict inside her: she chose sentiment instead of family. No wonder she felt so strained and hurt. That was when she made up her mind: after the townspeople were situated, she would flee for mountain, like how she said.

Legolas nodded to Tauriel's reason to his cousin, before he began approaching Mel. "You are needed somewhere else", he told his cousin gently. All disappointment gone.

Walking their way to the mountain, Fili did notice his brother feeling a bit down, and he wondered. "Kili", he spoke up to him. "What happened back there? Where's Maleficent?", questions were coming out of him now.

Walking passed her Kili did, Saeril stood back up to her full height, but had her back still turned to him. "Amralime", she called out after him in Khuzdul, once their boat was in the water, and began to row themselves away. Turning back around to finally watch them, her gaze drifted to the mountain. She knew that Kili wasn't going to forgive her that easily, not yet anyway.

Legolas walked along the shoreline before appearing several feet behind Mel. "Mel", he spoke calmly, but with a hint of a stern tone.

Hearing such a demand made the she-elf stop in her tracks. She didn't expect his response to be so hostile. Obviously, he was hurt, and ironically, she felt the same: sadness and dissapointment. Taking a heartbreaking exhale, the fae turned around to face him, looking down at him in guilt.

Hearing Mel say that she will stay, the fae gave her a nod of confirmation before bending down to one knee to meet Kili's eye-level. Saeril kept her calm composure. "I wouldn't do this to us, if I had no other choice that would interfere with said promise. Look around you, Kili, your uncle did this to innocent people; people who just suffered from the curse of the mountain. If that curse was on either me or you, wouldn't we plead for help?", she explained to him with slight anger and hurt. Giving a sigh to her rambling, her hands cupped the sides of his head in a reassuring manner, shuffling his dark ebony hair a little in the process.

"I can make you another promise", she whispered to him with a sad smile forming. Letting go of him for a moment to reach for her boot, she presented her curved dagger to him, giving him the sign to take it. "I will return for you at the mountain. That, I can promise", the she-elf added before cupping the side of his head again, and leaned it towards her, so she could plant a kiss to his forehead.

Saeril kept her glance on Kili when he was asking her these questions. No sad smile was made, nor was there a grateful one. It was just a stone-like expression upon her elvish features, almost an inner dissapointment at something invisible. Looking back at him, "Not 'we', just you", she finally said. If he was dissapointed, she hoped he would understand. But for them to already be bonded, it was going to be a difficult for the both of them. "I am staying to tend to the damage of Laketown's people", she added before explaining. "I know you want me to go with you, and that we have promised each other to reach the mountain together, but for this result of Thorin's decision, I can't leave these people astray", the she-elf explained to him as she kept her gaze upon him.

Hearing Mel near them, Saeril finally looked at her. "We won't. That mountain is what will drive the king into a fate that we cannot see. For us, we don't know whether if he will resist it or not", the she-elf explained to her friend before looking back at Kili. "Kili! We're leaving", Fili called after the boat was just about back in the water. "They are your people, Kili, you must go", she said before just about to walk off passed him.

Ravenna did not expect such change upon her sister, and neither did she expect to see her in such a state. In astonishment, she watched as Freya somehow froze her lover head to toe, before it tipped over, shattering. Noticing her beginning to collapse, Ravenna dove down as she let her sister fall into her arms, unconscious. Realizing that this was an outcome, Ravenna didn't say a word, only to gaze in shock and realization.

Consumed by grief and anger, Freya left her sister to seek a kingdom of her own in the land, far to the north. There, the people would come to fear her very name.

Meanwhile, in the peaceful realm of Alfheim, the light elves had their society ethereal and bright, with the lights on the trees lighting the twilight of their kingdom. A young boy, possibly at twelve years old, stood in the training area of the kingdom, where archers and sword-dwellers went to advance their combat skills. Staring at the target in the distance of him, a few yards from where he stood, he had his eyes slightly narrowed as if it was a prey meant to be caught. Holding the bow and arrow in his hand, he lifted the weapon and tried to aim it carefully to the target before him. Taking a few deep breaths for calmness, he allowed the arrow to fly.
