If you're not trying to romance the Pokemon, what's the fucking point?

Can't help but read 'woah' as a regular 'wuh', but 'whoa' as a deep, masculine 'HOO-AH!'

That's patently untrue. I planted some potassium the other day, and no matter how much I watered it, all I got was explosions.

According to the IRC, I'm a low-grade troll. They're probably not wrong.

@Scarifar Well, I'm back. Unfortunately, I've also read Niccolo Machiavelli's guide to princehood cover to cover. Expect shenanigans.

@everyone, other than the collabs that I'll prioritise, which solo post should I write first?

Tauga (Marquisate 2a: Blowfly Cults and Expansionism)
Tauga (Marquisate 2b: Law, Order, and Technology)
Sable (the teenage years, feat. Zotash'e, alchemy, goats)
Chiral Phi (housekeeping, aka ♫~I killed a girl and I liked it~♫)
Jvan (it involves war machines)

Sable is probably the most necessary but the others are vaguely even in priority and Sablepost #1 is like a third done anyway.
...Sorry for the double post,

Can anyone explain to me what the current state of the ig universe is and just how advanced technologically it actually is?

The presence of magic makes judging technology a little screwy. On Galbar, the largest civs are hovering around the tail end of the bronze age. Many populations are probably still hunter-gatherers though.

Different regions tend to use different magic. Shamans communicate with elementals, wandering stone people use mathematical runes to work miracles, Toun-worshippers use Calligraphic runes to work minor miracles and take oaths, Dwarves use captured mysteries to sail in the stars, underwater statue people manipulate ice, a couple of parties manipulate flesh with intuition, and chaos hordes blow shit up because thanks, Vestec!

Some regions are insular, like the Dwarven Empire, Vetros and the Valley of Peace, while others, like Rulanah, Metera, the Marquisate, the Changing Plains, Mesathalassa have expansive trading networks.

Story wise, check BBeast's log in the 0th IC post. Dwarves are expanding, islanders will be soon too, a shade from the past has appeared to seek vengeance and kill gods, a covert game of sabotage is being played out in the occult sewers, shapeshifting universe eaters are massing in space, a hollow figure is trying to make itself at home on a too-alive and too-colourful planet. Idk, lots of things and I should sleep
@Bright_Ops while you're free to discuss with us and maybe try something different if you're sure, do remember that you can always have your character disguise himself, or fly around, or make an avatar, or go through a crisis and develop, or anything really. It's a very free form game. Don't feel restricted by a role you picked. You can go wherever the story takes you and the story can be whatever you feel is worth writing.

Or you could get help! There's plenty of nudgehappy busybodies here who're more than willing to help you write something interesting to you.

Where would you go from here if you had less problems with Farxus?
With no further ado, or notice, I'm gonna backflip into vacation-with-family mode again for another five days.

See y'all when I get into another car accident for the sixth time this year.

And, merry Christmas.

How To Download Linux And Become God (feat. You, You, You and Evil You)
Any deity can create their own, private plane of existence. This can act as a private retreat or a manner to escape from other gods. These generally cannot be located by other gods unless the god in question allows them to find it. Those gods whose domain involves dimensions or space/time warps may be able to find said planes. These planes are very small - don't think you can go creating a separate universe in your own plane!

@LokiLeo789 Depends on what you want the galaxy for. Being a collection of stars, a galaxy is by definition extremely huge. Even the Magellanic Clouds, two little galaxies that orbit the Milky Way like the moon orbits the earth, have billions of stars each- Imagine an entire solar system given away to every single human being on the planet for three generations and you'll get an idea of just how big even a 'dwarf' galaxy is. People were blown away by the size of the universe before they even realised there was anything outside our own galaxy.

So, if you just want the aesthetic, that's cool. You can have a mini-galaxy of some kind, with stars like candle flames, no problem. A galaxy analogous to a real one in scale is a bit of a problem.
@Oraculum It's definitely possible for anyone with the power or finesse to bypass Teknall's barriers around it, or anyone who gets their hands on one of Vowzra's artefacts, which are scarce but scattered willy-nilly across the universe. If they also have sufficient knowledge and patience (and damage control), they can even extract useful tissue from the Gap. Osveril is in a pretty good position to learn how.

Jvan doesn't control the barriers around the Gap but she keeps a very close eye on them via Ovaedis. She's touchy about it because of the risk, and how much she's sacrificed to gain what control she has, but much like the drugs she dealt when she was a teenager, she's all for responsible use. So long as she can continue to keep Galbar relatively safe she'll support whatever she finds interesting.

People lose out by not asking her for free gibs. She's a very charitable god.

Well, you heard the lady. Sorry Teknall, it's time to spike those grenades with buckshot and glass
The moral of this post is not to burn yourself out protecting yourself from unseen enemies when your allies are just as dangerous.

Also if you ask for a big ass crate full of grenades four days before Christmas, you might actually get one. Thanks, Teknall!
